Send us a text

Nowadays we communicate constantly, but we struggle to do it effectively: how something so natural turns out to be so hard? In today’s podcast we are joined by Jacqui Zadik, a Canadian freelance writer and communication expert who shares with us some of her knowledge in interacting with others.  Jacqui invites us to  find new ways to connect with one another in a higher and more respectful way in order to have a positive and effective communication.

Highlights:

  • The importance of  actively listening to the other person or carefully reading a text message during a conversation in order to understand correctly what the other person is trying to say  and not jump into mistaken conclusions
  • Jacqui strongly believes that whenever possible, it’s best to have verbal communication over phone or voice message because it’s much more intimate and understandable than having a simple text conversation.
  • Because of technology, Jacqui believes that most conversations are held over text messages or emails, and deeper face-to-face  conversations are lacking.
  • Trusting in  your own abilities, talents and believing in yourself should encourage you to take chances and not holding back because of fear anymore.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
