Speaker 1 (01:04):
I know and I'm like coming out last.
She sent me a ball gown theother day and via text message
that she wanted to wear at somepoint maybe that was me
manifesting maybe okay, you guysthis episode.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
No, I'm not.
I'm cheering with black coffee.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I know you guys I've been sipping the same cup.
For how many episodes have werecorded?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
today Three, four, nine, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
But no, but today's episode it's going been on your
mind lately thinking aboutconsidering starting a podcast
of your own?
You know you're an entrepreneur, you're listening to us and
that's who we cater to, so we'reassuming you're an entrepreneur
anyways, have you thought aboutstarting a podcast, right?

(01:56):
So, jonathan, do you want toquickly introduce yourself?

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Sure, my name is Jonathan Howard.
I'm the owner of Success onSocial and I help successful
coaches reach their idealclients on social media by
developing their signature styleso they're not invisible on
social media.
They're seen, heard and bookedand remembered.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
And remembered Living rent-free in your mind, that's
right.
Hey everyone, I'm Mimi Langley.
I am a multifaceted creator.
I'm coming up with things.
I'm a little bit on a pivot for2025.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So my thing right now is to be determined, but We've
developed a coffee called TBDthat will be soon available on
Coffee Social.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
TBD merch.
All right, let's jump into this.
We're going to try to keep thisepisode short, you guys, so you
can get through it all andsweet, be pumped, be excited.
The first one is we'rebasically going over, like, the
perks.
If you have a podcast, thesecould be your potential perks
and what we've noticed anywaysas well.
Number one think about this youare hitting a whole new group

(03:00):
of people, a whole potential newaudience, that would have never
discovered you on Instagram, scrolling their feed Like what
do you think about that,jonathan?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, absolutely.
It's a new audience.
They discover you in adifferent way.
It's SEO based for the mostpart.
Obviously, you're going to bepromoting it and pushing it and
stuff like that, but people arelooking for something different
in podcasts and there's a wholegroup of people that listen to
podcasts that don't do socialmedia.
So, yeah, you're gettingexposed to a whole new audience,
you're connecting with newpeople, and anything that you do

(03:30):
is a great opportunity for youto grow your community.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
It's kind of wild.
But you're right though.
Podcast listeners are notnecessarily into social media.
Some of them don't even haveFacebooks, I'm sure, so how else
are they going to discover you?
You know, Right, I mean, theycould maybe by Googling and you
come up in Google search, butthis is just another outlet,
yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Recommendations, like once you start putting out good
content and you know I say thisall the time good content
always rises to the top.
You know, once you startputting out good content, you'll
get seen.
People will notice.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
And another thing too , and I agree with you on that.
Another thing, too is when wethink podcasts, we think
traditional form, which is audioonly, but there are people that
are creating video podcasts too.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I mean, there's different angles of the
podcasting world nowadays thereare, and I will argue till death
comes of me that videopodcasting is absolutely the way
of the future and you should berecording your video at all
times and putting it out therein any way possible as video,
because it's another way to bediscovered.

(04:40):
However, some people don'tagree with me.
Way to be discovered.
However, some people don'tagree with me.
I think Spotify agrees with me,because now you can put your
full episodes on Spotify, aswell as clips from your episodes
to promote it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
But who is the king or queen?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Spotify.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Apple.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
For us.
For us, but we have very fewlisteners on Spotify.
I think we can get discovery onthere.
So anyway, moving on, Mimi.
Yes, moving on.
I'm just bitter about that.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Number two you guys.
It's a great way, an additionalway for you to gain leads, make
some money, maybe even get asponsorship or a brand deal.
I mean, think about how hotpodcasts are right now.
Like, everybody and their momhave a podcast, which maybe you
look at it as it's too saturated, but I look at it like

(05:28):
companies want to deal withpeople who have a podcast.
Like, do you have a podcast aswell?
So what do you think?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, I agree.
And let's go to a popularsituation.
What is that?
Can we, can you?
You can't guess.
You can't guess who just tookhis podcast and is now on
primetime television.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Oh my gosh, Hold on, hold on, not Joe Rogan.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Not Mr Beast, because he doesn't do podcasts.
It's a guy.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
And I know this person.
He's the brother of.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Taylor Swift's boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
No, that's his wife that just did that.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
No, his wife just has a podcast.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
She started her podcast that actually knocked
Joe Rogan off the top.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, I know, I saw that.
Wait Travis Kelsey's brother,Jason.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Jason Kelsey is now on ESPN, a primetime show on
ESPN.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Because of the podcast.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Because of the podcast.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Okay, yeah, but do you think?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
that was the only reason why, probably I probably,
I mean it was one of the bigfactors, the big reasons it's.
I mean, yeah, he could havebeen a commentator on espn, but
he wouldn't have gotten his ownshow right in a prime time slot
for, I agree, just being thereyeah, I mean he was popular in
the nfl, but you're right like Ithink that that whole thing
just took their yes fame levelto a new level yes, we'll edit

(06:45):
that.
It's all good the fame to thenext level there we go, there we
go.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
No, but you're right, though, like as far as gaining
leads, and say I mean, there'speople that that's their main
goal of the podcast is just toget leads.
Yep, you know, because you havethe ability to also have uh
links and yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
So yeah, and if you're looking at, let's go back
to a couple episodes ago.
I don't know when this episodeaired, but Awareness, a podcast,
is an amazing awareness tool.
It gives you the discovery andall that.
It works really well.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
So, yeah, Okay, Last one we have for you today.
We'll probably do more of theselike a part 40, part 50.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
We always do more.
Yeah, you haven't mentioned theparts yet in a while.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Like you but, I, agree, jonathan, I agree
Immediately.
I always thought of podcastingbeing a form of long-form
content, because a lot of youout there may not have maybe
you're not getting your feet wetwith long-form, maybe you're
just sticking with Reels andTikToks so podcasting could be
the long-form content thatyou've been looking for.

(07:52):
So what do you think?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
And even if it's a 10 minute episode, a 10 minute
episode can translate to a solidblog post.
It can translate into five, eight, however many points you
have in your podcast differentposts.
Like a podcast is long formcontent.
So if you're looking for longform content to create which I
believe that honestly, everybodyneeds to be creating long form

(08:15):
content because it's going tomake your content creation
process so much easier than lookat creating a podcast, If
that's, if you're missing longform content, and then it can
become your long form content onYouTube, it can become your
long form content on your blog.
It can become your short formcontent on YouTube and TikTok
and Instagram.
There's a lot you can do withone longer piece of content.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
And I was also thinking it could be considered
evergreen, depending on whatyou're talking about.
But that's the cool thing aboutthese podcasts they have their
own search engines.
If you type in the wordmotivation, which is Jonathan's
favorite word, an episode yourecorded three years ago might
pop up.
I mean, that's just how it goes.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yep, and that's the great thing about podcast
platforms is they're searchable, just like Pinterest and YouTube
are searchable.
So if you put your podcast outon YouTube and people search and
you have the right SEO set upand people search for what
they're looking for and theyfind you, that episode can go
through the roof.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
It's pretty wild.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
It can drive your business for years and years.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
So we're not saying podcasting is easy, you guys.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
No, it's not by any means.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
It is an extra piece of work that you do have to put.
You know do, but you know weighthe pros and cons.
It might be something thatyou've been looking for that you
just didn't know was for you.
It might be something thatyou've been looking for that you
just didn't know was for you.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
And if you love social audio, if you love
talking to people, if you loveyou know hashing out topics and
maybe even getting guests onyour show, it's a great
opportunity for you to do thatand sometimes even just pose a
question and get an answer to it.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
If you love going on live on Instagram or Facebook or
YouTube, like yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Some people don't like podcasting only because it
feels like they feel likethey're talking to themselves.
But who doesn't talk tothemselves?
Come on, get a co-host.
There's always a solution.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Or start off as a podcast guest and see if you
like the whole feel.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yep Lots of opportunities there.
I'm going to be guesting whileMimi's out there, you know,
caring for her baby for howevermany months she takes off.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
I get to take months off.
Thanks, Jonathan.
No, well, it depends on howmany months we get, depending on
how many months we get booked,so you might be able to.
Well, you guys.
That was it for this episode.
We have a lot more pros, Ithink, when it comes to
podcasting.
That we can go over, but forthis one, I think we're good,
jonathan.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
I think we're good.
I think giving three is a goodnumber.
I mean we could give also allthe cons, but we don't want to
do that.
It's hard fucking work.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Wait, you have to beep that out.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
I do want you to beep something.
It's hard work.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
All right, jonathan, you want to go ahead and give
your spiel?
My spiel, yes, I'll give myspiel.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I'm very Jewish when I say spiel, Kind of like
schmear.
Anyway, if you haven't alreadyand you enjoy what we're saying
and I know this episode, youmight enjoy what I said more
than one of some of the lastepisodes.
Make sure that you go over towherever you listen to podcasts
and give us a rating, give us acomment on Spotify, let us know
what you think about it and makesure that you give Mimi five
stars, because Mimi loves fivestars.

(11:16):
We're not allowed to tell youhow many stars to give, but we
don't want Mimi to cry.
So with that I'll throw youback over to you, mimi.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Well, I have an important question, the most
important question of them all,and that is when you're thinking
about a podcast.
Maybe you've already thoughtabout this or maybe you didn't
even know to think about this.
Are you team more solopodcasting or are you team
interviewing people?
If you can envision yourpodcast, do you feel like you

(11:43):
would interview people a lotmore or do you feel like you
would just take it on byyourself?

Speaker 1 (11:46):
What if you have a co-host?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Okay, well, I'm throwing that in with solo
podcasting.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Okay then solo podcasting, Although I do have
another podcast idea that I wantto do by myself.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
No, I think that that would be awesome.
I just can't imagineinterviewing people every single
time I have an episode like, like you know, call her daddy.
Like every single episode isyeah, it's a lot of behind the
scenes work versus you justputting on your mic and just
saying hi, yeah, but anyways,I'm not against it, so tell us
what team are you.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
What do you?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
envision for your podcast and if you have a
podcast, let us know.
Comment on.
Youtube.
Comment on Instagram.
Comment on Spotify.
We want to know.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
You might become one of our favorite podcasts, and we
do have that podcast role wherewe can, you know, put you down.
So let us know what yourpodcast is.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
All right, all right.
Well, thank you everyone forlistening and watching and we'll
see you in the next one.
Bye everyone, bye, jonathanHoward.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Bye, mimi Langley Cheers.
