track with me for some Sims 2 story time and a brief examination of the identity of Israel ...

the Gospel Good News is that through repentance of sin and faith in King Jesus, whosoever will can enter into covenant with God. covenant with God has been made available through Jesus, but must be entered through submission to God's ways ... and

adoption into the existing family of God should not produce arrogance or disdain towards the people we are grafted into.

Exodus 33:13 (NLT) :: If it is true that you look favorably on me, let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor.

:: Couple things, I realized in listening to the recording  ::

1. Technically Melchizedek is not Jewish, so I guess Prof. PBS was right about that, lol. (See Hebrews chapter 7, and Genesis chapters 14-15)

2. I forgot to mention that after God establishes covenant with "all flesh that is on the earth" through Noah, Shem is blessed for exhibiting the character of God by honoring his father (Noah) without there being a law or commandment in place that required him to do so. I thought that was a cool aspect of the lineage of faith and honor for God that God seems to be responding to as He interacts with this people group.  (See Genesis 4-12)

~ Patient endurance is what we need now. Take heart. ~
