Deep discussion on that.
Speaker 2 (00:18):

And I like the jolly in the uh oh.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, I guess that's a good point.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
About that next year always, and I just like the
fact that they got on your reading and said you're
not the best reading.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So I don't think so let me just say this,
My reader has been impeccable, no flawless. I think they
think that it's so good that it's not in the competition. No, No,
I think that's what they're thinking, is they not?
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Because it's really like you guys and it's like, oh,
you know, but my read has been on point.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Not really.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
The fans have spoken like.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
You know that, So I think Jason just spoke.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
I don't think they let me just say they don't
like to read he's doing. I didn't say everybody loves
the army, you know what I mean? They says boring.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
But also I just want to point this out to
Santana one. Last week's that's fine. That lost I lost before.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
That's fine.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
You seem like a little rattle by that.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I'm not little. The only thing got me shoop right now.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
It's probably only one one of them, for all they
of them that we don't know was the week before that?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
That's the one. Yeah, hear you in that's fine. He's
like a little saltyd.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Right there, ready for wanna start rnking, you know, coming
out that Duke's Mayo Bowl Super State.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
You know, it's just it's just been down.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
The Duke's Male It was not the duke look win.
We played in the Duke's Male Bowl in Charlotte, Duke's
Mail and the winner gets the coach get on him.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
He got his whole family, not no, you.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Know that that was I would would not want to
be one of his kids and having to sit there
and take them a male bath, Like.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Did you hate white stuff?
Speaker 4 (02:36):
I hate male he hates more than anything.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Right there were like listen.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
But it's just funny to think about Mississippi State and
then our guy with the Miami Hurricanes right now.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Well, also old Miss he got a he got a
date with old miseries. And that's the key right there,
and the question you ain't never had nothing good to
say about Old Missing On.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Which one is the better story?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Old Miss coach leaving them behind and they bunding them,
Miami getting back to prominence.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I will say either.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
I mean, I'm one of those guys, man, I'm not
finish sit here and sell you know, dreams. They gotta
go out and play the game. So at the end
of the day, though, I'm gonna have that orange and
green on sitting in front of my two watching them
guys Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
So I'll tell you this, like I don't really like
college football, but I have really really enjoyed watching play football. Yeah, man,
because that front gets after the flying around the offensive
line is physical, the receivers are going to block, and
the quarterback just makes enough play.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
If you watch Taday Chamberlas to watch, he reminds me
of a t move.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Caleb, I get it, the body, the way the ball
comes out.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Is got that kind of playmaking he got.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I think he got more.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Little, he had more, a little wiggle. Caleb just got
a danger like you know, it's crazy at times how
he got out of dodge, you know, from from some
of those tackles and wood be tacklers or whatever.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
But this guy here, he he hasn't explosive this.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Like no other.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
That's why I say, you got to be We're going
to have to really bottle him up, you know. I mean,
we got a chance to go against the guys from
Texas and m Yeah, we had a similar you know
type of style and were able to we was able
to get him, you know, contain him. This guy's a
different kind of game. I got Sugar rushing out.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
This guy a.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Different don't rush out way. It's a different type of explosive.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Because both the guys a Quema Messador and Ruben Bain
both like power rushers. Yeah, and Bain is really good
at like attacking that upfield edge. I wonder if he
does it a little bit less because they.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Worried about him flushing the pocket.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
I saw plenty of times in the Ohio State game
where Bane got up the field and I'm looking at
that lane, like that quarter back.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Just he couldn't he couldn't get that.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
But at the same point they did have thirty one
spine anybody knowing that those guys gonna get the field.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
They got that linebacker sitting there waiting, so.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
So like needless to say, we're all excited for Miami,
and again we feel bad for Mississippi State.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Oh miss man, I'm pulling for the state of Mississippi,
are you?
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And my oldest child goes to old Miss.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Parrys Smooth goes the old miss one time for parents Smooth,
But we don't.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Want to Parry Smook a job. But this man has
never said anything good about it. I'm gonna tell yall
about Old Miss. He go the truth, all right, when
every time you say that it's not the truth.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
My twelfth grade year of high school, the summer I
go to Old Miss Kemp.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
I balled.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
I heard Duce make Alista all of us.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
I ball out.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Old Miss comes to my room in the middle of
the night and offer me a scholarship. I accept the scholarship.
I go home and tell my mama, I think I'm
gonna commit to Old Miss. They offer me a scholarship.
She's like, no, you ain't. You should not really, So
the first school that I committed to was Old Miss.
Then it was like, nah, you ain't going there. Want
(05:46):
want me to go to Old Miss. She didn't want
me to have nothing to do with Huddy man, ain't
t like if you go to Old Miss, I'm not
coming to watch you play.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Really, I was like, all right, no problem.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
So I was wrong because it has a stitch in
Mississippi on the case. Why you were just a statement?
I want him to give me an answer is why
are you rooting for him?
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Then?
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Because it's the Mississippi onto y'all look at Cecy. Last
one is the last one CC right now, it ain't
been good for us doing the layoff.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
It just ain't been.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Good, not in everything to kind of even out, and
it's all about their money. Everybody coming down south getting
all live please.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I was watching L s U last night because they
have like five receivers going on the Shrine Bowl.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, and I was like, man, you kind of fill out,
not good.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
Like a bad bag of dude.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Back now, listen, I will say they got a tight
end down there. I think he's a sophomore. Yeah, number
fourteen seven, two forty five. Run Boston people.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
What about the boy from August? Listen, Man, I like him.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
He's a different body type for the tight end. He's
a tight end for you. Remind me of Ingram, very similar.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
I've seen him play last week. He'd be pretty good.
He got.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
He's explosive too, He's like explosive through his hips. It'll
be interesting to watch him more and more detail. Okay,
so that's the college football preview that we didn't plan on.
But there we go to Miami. So yes, I'm going
for the last a SEC team.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Man, just just be here. Okay, do the pack got
anybody in there? But no, you pulled it a big ten.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Ten Pac twelve's dead, Oregon. I guess I don't even
know what conference there, Oregon. I'm gonna claim organ but
I don't even know you claimed the Pack though. This
is who you played. That's why I played for you, Yeah,
Pack ten, way back in the day. Yeah. All right,
So we got some breaking news. According to John come
local beat report guy, the ESPN reporter, Cliff Kingsbury and
(07:43):
Washington have agreed to part ways per source. In addition,
the Commanders have fired DC Joe widd Junior. Obviously, our
hearts go out to jucause any time you're getting good.
It's always tough, right, always tough. But we don't know
anything about it other than what I just write right there.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
It is literally how up in.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Five minutes before a week this show started.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
So make sure you guys like and subscribe to this
show because we will give you more detail as we go,
as much detail as we possibly can. I think there's
gonna be obviously hirings, potentially more firings for background information
on this, but the only way you're gonna get that
is if you subscribe, So make sure you do that. Well,
we'll walk you through all.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
I have to tell people.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
It is but this is this is part of our
football calendar. This always comes to us. We know this
time is coming where we're gonna lose teammates, we're gonna
lose coaches, we're gonna lose staff. Like it's the other
part that you don't get to see how the Sausages made.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
Its the revolving door of the league I think, you know,
and that people coming in and people going out, and
that's just you know, that's the reality of what we
do for them.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
And it's a bummer because both those guys are good dudes.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
They're always great guys and they they.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Will they'll be coaching football somewhere next year. Yeah. So
but in the meantime, make sure you like to subscribe.
But let's pay some bills. Fred and Tanne.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
Okay, gang okag?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
It was it was me showed me kla Key. So
you were on the Players Club this week? Were last
week with John Bates? Was that last week? No?
Speaker 4 (10:28):
We was on there with Johnny Newton.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
This week when was based on there?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Bates was on the two weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
I was there with Baits.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Baits my guy.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
I love John Bates.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
So you were talking about his Nicknametel, great.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Nickname, and then Bates was like, I give it a
six or seven, And you were just losing your the
kid in him came out to do it, sat up.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Think about it.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Last name Bates, and you are blocking tight end and
people check in to your hotel and you never see them.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I was surprised, give it a better.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
I didn't know that because one, he probably never watched
the movie. And then to think about it, when he
does watch the movie, he's gonna be like, this guy
was a cycle.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
So I don't know if I really want to be you,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (11:13):
So that's that's to me. But I but I love
the name. I think it was great and it's a
great name. But yeah, so make sure you check out
the Players Club. That was a good time, all right.
So now real quick, we got an Eagles review. We're
not going to spend a lot of time on this
game at all, but one thing that pops up every
time we play what do you call him for? The
bleacher creeps of Philadelphia?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Of Philadelphia, they always get in our comments because they
ain't got no shows today on Because we're in an
interactive show and we like to respond to comments, We're
gonna respond to comments. So the first one is congratulations
you beat our backups.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Well, I beck up to beat your back the entire year.
I'm sorry, like I'm sorry, we got more than you.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
I mean, that's kind of what I would say too.
And again, a win's a win. I'm gonna take it.
We take wing when when we when we were in
the land of darkness, the way we were for a
long time. Yeah, get a little bit of light, We'll
take it.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
And guess what I'm gonna tell you, bleach your creatures.
How I really feel. I think when Coach Queenn stand
at the podium and say we got to him.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
In two weeks, we don't forget.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
They knew we was gonna come out there and inflict
some pain, so they made sure hurts didn't get hurt.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
They made sure a.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
J Brown hurt because we was gonna make y'all lip
into the playoffs, and y'all knew we was coming out
there the swap paint and make sure y'all know what
the right dale feel like.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
That's how I feel.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I laughed abot it, man, because you got.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
To think about all those guys on that roster on
the roster for a reason, so sooner or lady, you
got to go out there and play the game. And
to be frank, with you. That quarterback is the quarterback
that they all wanted to see in front of Herston,
the first had crowns. So I'm like saying to myself, well,
this is the guy I wanted to see, and he
showed you.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
He won. Ready, you know what I mean? I actually
thought he We'll talk about this in a second. The
only reason you won is because the Eagles took Hurts
out the game. Like Tyna said, I actually think I
want to see the off with the starting offensive line
and the starting receivers out there, because you know what
tannericky did through with timing, through the anticipation and again
the backup offensive line for Philly shows you how good,
(13:12):
how good that first start, because like when you got
our guys out there and he's getting pressure right away,
Like again, I think Tanner mckey's got something and I
think he's gonna make himself some money this offseason or
whatever they're able to him.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
But yeah, man, like you took her out the game.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
I think the more significant one was Landon Dickerson, Jordan
Mylotta Lane, just Elaine Johnson.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Lane Johnson and their center didn't play.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
Not to me, I think I think also, man, you
gotta get a lot of credit to that running.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Game because he makes me running it by.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
I watched him in pregame, right, So we out down
the sideline doing our pregame show, and like right behind
us they had the offense.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
They were out there and pass yet and they were
just running routes.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
So the ball came when outside he had you know,
they overthrew him with something and the ball came down
and he ran over this. So you know, I always
look back. I'm always my head on the swivel. So
I'm like, man, what is jack dude? This that's catching
passes like I ain't seen him all year, and I'm like,
he's kind of tall, so he ain't a receiver. Is
he a tight end or running back? And he put
on them pass and he put it. I say, what
damn that dude put together? So watching him run the ball, yeah,
(14:14):
they got so they had a nice backup in him,
and then they already had the other kid that get
in and you know what he can do.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
So man, they got something in that backfield behind you boy.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
And so again just because hurtson player, I think it's
I think they're an offensive line driven team in terms
of offense. I think those four guys are not playing.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Let's be honest, Hurts haven't played his best, but nice
playoff time this when he this, when he pushed the
cap he put every time when the playoff you be like,
who is this? Because he ain't he is laser focused.
Come on, let's be honest. We have watched Jalen Hurts
out play Patrick Mahons twice at Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
It is unbelievable. In the super Bowl. It's like he
looks like.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
That dude, he lived like the prince that was promised.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, all right, okay, this is the other one. This
is just a comment.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
We're not gonna really respond to it. I guess we can.
This is the Commander's YouTube channel. They're not too bright. Yeah,
first off, you're watching the show. You're watching the hour show.
Thanks for the engagement, appreciate it. You know what he
doing and no one said we were bright.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Let's just say that.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Football football player, like, what would you want us to do?
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Glorified pe teachers?
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Yeah, doing what you want us to do?
Speaker 6 (15:21):
First of all, you put you're paying attention to it.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Bright. I could beat them. I could beat the one
you called not bright. But obviously you with me.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
We're watching together.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Yeah, you're consuming us.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, so Philly fans, as always, our shows do really
well every time you guys came about.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Thank you, guys, appreciate you.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
I want to come to Philly get cheese steaks anyway
I've been dang gonna lie come to shop to text free.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Great, it's tax free.
Speaker 6 (15:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
What were you talking about in Philadelphia when you go
shopping for clubs tex free?
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Talking about that last year?
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know nothing about that.
All right. So the other thing in this game outside
of Josh Johnson the looking good as Bobby Wagner hits
two thousand tackles, that means he joins who.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Right, London kept it free.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
Smooth boy, Get out of here.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Dude, let me talking all me cross tackles.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
You have you think fred a thousand, one hundred ninety nine.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Dude, you can't take it anywhere. So you're having like
you played nine years. Yeah, so you're having like two
hundred and fifty years.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
No, like six hundred, no, no, no, it's like three come on,
like three hundred two fifty So two fifty plus two
fifties five hundred yeah right.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
Yeah, but he said he had three hundred his first year,
and then we find out of here at thirty five.
Speaker 8 (16:44):
Yeah, answer four point fifty. That's a lot of tackles.
You say nine hundred, No, one thousand? Thou my man,
you said a thousand. I even gonna get you a thousand.
I'm like, well, shit, nineteen years you gotta have abount
a thousand.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Nah, that that's averaging almost what.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, dude, can you guys do math if you play?
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Yes, Yes, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Hey, don't say you guys because I said ten years old,
he should have about a hundred.
Speaker 6 (17:14):
I forgot he is a corner fifty.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
Well, you know, when you don't let people catch balls,
you ain't got to do no tackle.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
I mean you played in covert.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Come on, man the man coverage?
Speaker 2 (17:25):
What you say? I played cover to cover two. I
played man.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
We've seen I would have more tackles if we played
cover too, because now I'm part of.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
The run front.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Dude. Okay, okay, I played man the Man. No, no, no, no, no,
Cover two. You Brandon Jacob's eyes closed. That was a
busy decision. That's different.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
That's why they can't play cover too.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
But why are you gonna talk about the plays before
that where he where I had the collegiates.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
So I'm gonna ask I'm gonna ask Jason to look
up something else. All the good DB's And I'm not
saying you're not good, because you know, I think highly afraid, No,
but I just want to know what's the average average
tackles for, you know, for those dbs that.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Don't give up a lot of don't have a lot of.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
So I look like Bailey, like.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Bailey, let's go, No, No, let's go Champ Bayley and
Darrel Reeves.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
Yeah, yeah, just just just get your career real tackles.
I don't know what the tackles this.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yeah, they also played for a long time though.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Yeah, but I see where where at?
Speaker 6 (18:30):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
So yeah, Bobby Wagner, uh, two thousand tackles. So first off,
I just got to ask you guys, because I talked
to Fletch about this a little bit, but like, what
does that milestone mean to you guys? Like when you
hear that, because it means something to me.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Like it's the equivalent defensively to Jerry Rice Yordage.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
That's kind of what it feels like, right.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Yes, that's what it is to me.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
It's like he's on that mountain by itself, but he
on that with two guys that one of them is
a Hall of Famer. They are already talking bout how much
Bobby's gonna be a Hall of Famous. So I'm loving
it that now he brings more awareness to his loved
this fellow Washington, you know, franchise ball player, you know, redskin,
but I just wanted to put same in Washington, you
know that just that just highlights what uh you know,
(19:16):
London a little more. But it's it's a it's a
feat man that you kind of scratch your head about,
like talking about old over the years of all the
great middle linebackers, your last all those guys you talk about,
and only these three guys in two thousand tackles and
that's tackling machine times ten.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
And it's just like the physicality of.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Just over and over and over, like even though it's
a defensive player, you're inflicting pain. We feel pain when
we make these stacles too, And that's what go ahead
for these dudes. Not the miss games, like they're only
one of these three.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
The actually miss game was right, it was right, still play.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
He still plays because remember a couple of years he
had like to he had acl I think he had
something else shoulder. He missed a lot of time. But
you got to think about it. It's still seventeen years perade.
That's that's a lot of football playing linebacker. Yeah, you
know what I mean, like them crashes and you're talking
about London sixteen straight years and not missing the game,
(20:17):
not missing the game.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
But he too.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
We laugh and joke about this, especially be misbrought this
up the other day. But you know, you got to think,
like it's already one of those things when you look
at guys who played defense.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
That's one of the reason why I.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Told you when I got to high school, I opted
out of playing corner no more. In little league, I
played corner and receiver, and I love corner. The corner
was like borderline first for me because I like reading quarterback,
I like jumping. You know, I had great ball skills,
so I'm getting picks. I'm having fun with that. But
I knew with my my body, my frame, I don't
want to take on hits. I don't want to take
(20:50):
on tackling someone. Here I felt like I can absorb
to hit more than in half the time, I'm not
absorbing because I'm running away from you instead of I
got hit worse by friendly fire than I did by
getting you know, getting catching the pass and getting hit
by one guy that friendly five. Yeah, with you holding
a guy up or coming in to make attack on
(21:10):
somebody knocking yo, you know what in the dirt man,
that's to me, it's like the worst so to have
a guy as a middle linebacker.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
And this was what I told London yesterday too.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
I was like, look, bro, it's one thing of having
the I guess you can say the consistency of being
that guy every year, you know, doing what y'all do.
But it's just the hard part of just saying that
you're not tired of doing this, Like you have to
have a little the marbles, a little gotta be crazy,
you know what I'm saying. And I'm like, London, I
used to watch you, bro. I saw you how you
(21:41):
prepared yourself. I saw how you look come game time.
I saw you look come walking through the regular locker room,
and I said I stayed away for that reason because
I'm like, you know it, it was a respect thing,
like that don't play you know what I'm saying. But
I play with the others that played the same position,
and they didn't have that same kind of you know,
looking in their eyes. So I'm not surprised when I
hear London name. You know, I'm not surprised when I
(22:04):
see Bobby, because Bobby had the same you know, makeup.
If you look at him like he had the same
kind of walk around like you see him. He's quiet today,
said to himself, he'll speak to you, but you got
to initiate that because he's already in his zone, you know, ready.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
To do what you gotta do.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
And you just got to tip your hand off to
those guys, man, because that's a that's a that's an accomplishment,
man that I'm looking now every year, I'm gonna watch
this game even closer, especially at that position, to see
who gets closer, you know, who gets close to those
to those numbers.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
Said they were gonna be.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
It takes longevity to get close to them numbers.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
And you speaking about friendly Fire. I don't know if
you remember this game. We was we was in Dallas.
I got the running back. I think if maybe it
was Jones and Sean Taylor just come through and clear
us all out, and he laserrated my kidneys.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I think you were laying down. He was laying down
there and.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
Took me out, took the running back.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Everybody atcerated Kidney's crazy.
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Yeah, it was bad that friendly.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
There's no joke man getting hit by somebody else while
you try to make it tack him.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
So I love that you guys are talking about longevity
because he's done it at a high level for a
long time. And then you know, I think there was
a earlier in the season there was a lot of
fans saying, oh, he's too old.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Play because of Ja and Vija made the young linebackers.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
It's not even because of it's just when when you
see a guy at linebacker, See, this is what people
fail to realize, and this is what makes certain offenses elite.
When you can say, all right, I'm gonna go out there,
I'm gonna scan through their whole defense, and I'm like,
I want my guy who has world class speed on
the atholticism out the yin yang to match up with
a guy that I know that can't stick him.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
And that's what teams does.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
So when you when you saw us out and you say, Okay,
now I got the favorite matchup. I got a favorable
matchup because I got my guy on a linebacker.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Of course you should win that.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Of course you should win a running back or wide
receiver on a linebacker. And that's what people look at.
They look at you. You can't have a linebacker covering
like a corner. If you do, he's gonna be missing something.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
He might.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
You see what I'm saying. So I hear that. I
feel you.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
But we've seen Jordan McGee, which I think is faster
than half of our dB, and we've seen him can't
cover certain those guys when he get out there. Cause
that because they all linebackers, they're not putting the game
to cover those guys. Now, they can't cover to a
certain extent of guys they probably match up well with,
like tight ends and guys like full backs. But you know,
I get it, And like I said too, in this
(24:27):
game now today, when you have so many I guess
you could say you can hear so many voices now
with the social media and all that stuff, it's only
right man that they voiced their opinion.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
But this guy's showing you time and time again. What
he's in year what fifteen.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Yeah, he's out there tackling everybody, and he's out there
meeting you half of the time. He's out there, you know,
identifying what's going on before the play start.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
And that's what you get from a Bobby.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Wadda, A great blitzer and a great leader. Like it's
so many things you could put in tangibles, Like if
I had to have five things, top three to me
is everything tackle it lean that the change his.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Game and getting the defense.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
And I mean, you see this guy making adjustments, telling
him slide over, and before you know it, he's sliding
in there making a play. So I think the world
of him, and you know, I guess hopefully he made
you guys understand how valuable.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Were Congratulations brother, Many people do not reach that peak
that you sitting on right now.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yeah. And also I think he played better after the
Miami game quite a bit. I think when you look
at it in coverage, you had that one on one
with Waddle that he locked down and one on with
Agent Brown a J. Brown tight coverage versus Tyrone trace
us a converted wide.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Receiver, Like, yeah, he did.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I felt like he hit like the fountain of youth
kind of.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
I don't feel like he's finished, like.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
He's gonna do what he wants to do. The team's
gonna make their decision.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
But like near the end of the year, I was like,
he was the best defensive player on defense.
Speaker 5 (25:52):
And I think too going forward, it's important to have
a guy like him, even if you do go out
there and get other guys, because he can be that
guy in the room that show.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
You know what I'm saying. I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
I'm sure Jordan McGee by the time he's ready to
take over and really be that guy, it's gonna be basically,
you're gonna see a little Boby in him, you know
what I mean, because he got.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
A chance to watch him. You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
I got a chance to watch this guy and see
how it is to be a pro. And I don't
want to get off topic a little bit, but it's
just like when I'm watching Chase Young. I smiled other
day when I saw the story with Chase Young talking
about what a guy named Jordan's damn cam Jordan and
he talked about the other guy something David, and he
was like, man, when I got over here, I had
veterans to show me the way he like, in Washington,
(26:34):
I was the guy.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
And that's what happens.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
A lot of people fail to realize when when you're
on bad teams and you're the top draft picks.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yeah, sometimes you got.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
To be the guy at the gate and you don't
have a guy in that room that can show you
how to be a pro. And what Chase had, Chase
Young had ten sacks this year or more. Yeah, So
that just shows you, man, like, you can't give up
on these young guys, you know, that quick because they
got to develop. Look, they have to learn how to
be professionals. And I just love the fact that he
(27:03):
gave those guys a shout out for showing him.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
He was like, look at the maturity.
Speaker 5 (27:07):
They shows a mature thirty five thirty six years old
that can get up and do it every day.
Speaker 6 (27:11):
I should be able to do it.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Mario Davis, Mississippi Royalty.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
Yeah, where is he from?
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Madison Central School? Uh?
Speaker 3 (27:20):
He did he go to Southern miss I think, well,
I know he went to Madison Central, which is for
my local high school.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Small world.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Yeah, so obviously that's what Bobby has been providing for
those guys. That great month mentorship, and again, congratulations to
Bobby on a really tremendous milestone.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Now let's pay some bills and break to here. Boys.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
Okay, let's get it.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Y'all want me to do the West Virginia.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
That's neat, boys, Let's sit you behind that.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
You there, huddle up, team, It's time to call a
winter audible, because when the attempts drop, the real magic
kicks off.
Speaker 6 (28:00):
In West Virginia.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Think trails that crunch like game day, turf ski runs
for every level of fan, and cozy cabins that won't
break your budget. Trade lift lines, chaos for wide open slopes,
hot cocoa bricks by crackling fires, and.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Mountains stressed to the press.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
In that blanket of pure white.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
So grab your squad, pack your coal weather swag, and
head to almost heaven this winter West Virginia.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
That's pretty good.
Speaker 9 (28:33):
I'll tell you what there are about to go to
West Virginia. Give me, get me some figs, and some figs,
I guess I'll pick up the god Co did.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
How do you feel when you switch to got Co
and save on your car insurance? It's like finding a
parking spot in front of a busy outdoor cafe where
you're meeting some of your old friends from college and
you're about to parallel park into a ohso tight spot,
and then everyone in the cafe stops to watch, and
(29:07):
you nail it in one try, Like.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
The parallel parking baller.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
You are nobody clapped, but you know they really wanted to.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Switching and saving with Geico feels just like that. Get
more with Geico, But thank you.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Both of us were excellent, excellent. I feel like I
was watching the Academy Awards all right. So for a
break for.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Our next thing, we're gonna we got a special guest
coming in, hater, special guest.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
But it took us to beat Philly. We had to
beat them with hate in our heart.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
That wasn't love right there, so it's perfect. He parted
them Bleacher creatures, Hater, what's up? I don't know why
pirates automatically?
Speaker 5 (29:56):
I hear that boys not thanks bunge Bob. I'm thinking
after Jack spar No.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
I hear the pirate on SpongeBob.
Speaker 10 (30:04):
Santa tried to keep me down, but he couldn't keep
the hate down for two longs.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
That's the last time here here was the Christmas Special.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Yeah, guys, some sharp set. We won the game.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
What we should be tanking?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Oh, we don't do that.
Speaker 10 (30:17):
We should tank because we have the seventh pack, could
have had the fifth.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Hey, well, hater, Jason, I hate to tell you this.
Lords Taylor is not in this draft.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
For the fact is we want to go into the
offseason with a win under our belt. And let's be honest.
We beat them with our backups. We beat they backups
with our backups. Somebody had to win the game. We won,
and we only write down one spot, so who cares.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Hey, I've always had that in my mind, but I had,
like I say, I had to use this on the
post game show. You play to win the game, Oh her?
And Elvis said, oh her, you play to win the game.
And that's what it was about. You know, we're going
to go out there to play. One thing about playing football,
it's different from basketball.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
Being the basketball player.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
You see those guys in those All Star games and
they can just go out there and play a pickup
game football. I remember playing the Pro Bowl. That's why
they got the Pro Bowl about it there, because you.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Can't have ass.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
You have to go out for I remember in the
Pro Bowl, my first and only Pro Bowl, you know,
like I tell you, and I got out there, I'm like, oh,
maybe I'm finna go ahead, and just you know, Lotty
gag up to the block and I heard smack. I'm like, oh,
I just scraped my chins. Draft a little tight because
this thing is love. But you mentionally winning there, and
I'm thinking I had to get thinking. I didn't have
to go out, go all out. So when you step
(31:31):
in between those white lines, you can't go half speed.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Man.
Speaker 5 (31:33):
You got to play to win because if you do
it point, if you do go ass speed, that's when
you get hurt.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
Guys get hurt.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
And this is the other thing that I want to
bring up right now, and I talked about on the
Road of the Draft podcast I do with Jason and
Fred are going to be on there at some point.
Drive road. It's a drive to the draft. That's what
we're doing because we're driving.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Oh so, no more road to the draft.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
The path to the draft.
Speaker 11 (31:54):
It was never run to the draft. Don't know where
that came from. It was drive to the draft and
take it to the draft.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
I remember the ticket.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
I'm having a hard time with the ticket to the
don't worry about it.
Speaker 11 (32:03):
Just subscribe to all your commander's podcast channels.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
You'll get it. You will go ahead a draft in
Washington very soon.
Speaker 6 (32:08):
That's right, that's twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
It's twenty seven, right, eight one of them.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
So what do I want to say is everyone says
the difference between the fifth and seventh pick, and so
everyone uses the Jimmy Johnson trade chart, and so Jimmy
Johnson trade chart, basically what they do is they really value,
in my opinion and a lot of people's opinion, they
overvalue first round picks, specifically the top fifteen picks. And
the reason that happened is because Jimmy Johnson didn't use
(32:35):
any mathematical formula to account for picks.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
He just was like, I.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Think it's worth four thousand. I think the second pick
is worth three thousand, and then just went down the
list like that. And so when people say, oh, the
difference between the fifth and seventh pick on the Jimmy
Johnson trade chart is two hundred points, which is roughly
equivent to the seventy eighth pick in the draft, that's
off some guy Jimmy Johnson just kind of throwing stuff
at a board. When you look at the Harvard Draft chart,
(33:04):
which accounts for career length. So what they do is
they take every player that aggregate their total career length
based on round selected. The difference between pick five and
pick seven is want to guess how many points? Read?
One hundred twenty eight points. Twenty eight points is not
even a seventh round draft pick. More teams are moving
to the Harvard Draft pick model, and you notice that
(33:27):
in the draft every year because you never see like
big trades anymore unless it's for a quarterback, right. If
it's for just a player or moving spots, often it's
a pick swap and then maybe a seventh round pick
to account for this really small difference in points. So
people say there's this perceived value difference between five and seven.
I don't think it's as big as people perceive. Does
(33:47):
that make sense for me?
Speaker 3 (33:48):
I tlpp of these If you get into the NFL
and you do the numbers, thirty five percent of the
guys is in the NFL undrafted. Yeah, all right, So
if you're going to account for that, say these undrafted
players have longer careers than these first rounds. At the
end of the day, you're analyticis screwed up anyway? That
tells you you don't know. All us try to pass
(34:09):
the eye tests. Now, everybody want to look past the
eye test now and.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Put mathematics in it. It's still football.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
I still can look at Santana when we was in
college and I told him when we was at the
Bolls like that, like you the best receiving that draft.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I said that. I meant that you have to see
both of them. You have to see everybody up.
Speaker 8 (34:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
I got to see him up Cubs now, like he
the best? All right, I don't got to taste and
the rest of him. He is the best. And I
ain't doing it because I watched him running forty and
watching vertical. I watched him play the game of football.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
And so the other thing to piggyback on here is
so the difference in player between five and seven, it's
probably not very far like we do. I think we've
done this on the show before. We've talked about our
draft tiers like tier one, Tier two, tier three, But
to pick one to seven, theoretically it.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Could be the same tiers.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
It is the same.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
You could technically pick a guy at seven that you
have the same grade on it too, because people think
of it as like one to two hundred.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
But the draft isn't like that.
Speaker 5 (35:03):
And I don't want to cut you off. I want
you to keep going because I feel like this is
very knowledgeable. I'm learning a lot what you're talking about
this but this think about how many times we moved
back up or we moved down and got a guy
in the second round who was supposed to be a
first round you know, kind of a guy.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
So it's guys are going to shift.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
It's gonna be people that might you know, switch the
whole draft count up because of the off.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
The field back that might come out, that might not
come out.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Who knows.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
But I feel like when it comes to the first round,
you can't you can't miss it.
Speaker 6 (35:32):
When it comes to first round picks, I don't care
where you pick it.
Speaker 5 (35:34):
And I don't get me wrong, we will all want
to be you know, in the early rounds, the first five,
the first ten, top ten is great to me. I
think that's that is that is that is lottery picks,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Who's gonna be mad if it's seven or five? Who's
so like a really good example of this is Josh Connery.
Last year, there was a couple of teams that I
talked to that had him rated in tier one. But
when they pick right, they can't pick ten players, so
they picked one of the ten. Yeah, and then the
next team comes up and they have him there in
the top fifteen, they pick a different guy, and all
(36:05):
of a sudden, this player who was both valued very highly.
It's picking the twenty nine. Same thing with Trey Amos.
A lot of people had him as a back first
round grade right, but because you can only pick so
many guys two teams, I mean, thirty two people will
get picked right, then all of a sudden he's there
in the sixties. So again, like this is one of
those things where I know, this seems like.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
A big deal.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Like if we were removing Tenna from like fifteen to
four total, I'd be like, let's tank, let's literally two
spots spots, and the difference between that is minute.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
And just put yourself also in a category, say we
was going to get the first first pick, and you
didn't need that first pick you're gonna I mean, would
you be would you mind if you say, okay, I
can get his first pick?
Speaker 2 (36:48):
I will, I will, I will not go out there and.
Speaker 5 (36:51):
Play my guys because I will want that first pick
because even if I don't want to use that to pick.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Something's at a lot of amos.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
I'm saying that to me, that fifth pick didn't carry
that same weight. So why would I see him complaining.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Especially in a quarterback draft that doesn't have a lot
of high end drafts. Now, if this was Jaydon Daniels
and Caleb, we would be I'm in the money. Everybody
sitting down the game up we ain't playing the game.
But because it's standing up top.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
This like we just got started Jason and I and
again I know you're starting your stuff to Fred, it's
it is a different The top of this thing doesn't
feel like this tower where it's like this dude, this dude,
this dude.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
It's like maybe, but as also because it ain't two
of the how should I say star positions? Quarterback is
a stop position, wide receivers of star position, both of
them lacking it.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
But I also feel like there's so many guys now
getting the money that they might not even get in
the draft, so they're like, hey, I might stay. It's
playing another year of school. If I get the eligibility, so.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
It's funny we were doing. I'm going through the receivers
right now, and I never had to do this before.
I have to go to make sure that they actually declared.
So like Nick Harbor from South.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Caeria, Carolina, he didn't, he didn't declare, he didn't declare.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
He got four million dollars right to school.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Right then the guy from what's his name, Deuce Robinson
from Florida State, Yes, stud went back to school. Five
million dollar read is to resign. So like they're they're
thinning them out because people are getting paid to stay.
Eligibility has changed. So is not a rush to go
to the league?
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Yeah? Correct? Correct?
Speaker 2 (38:22):
So but again, so in terms of value between five
and seven, I know people want to make it a
big old thing. In actuality, it's much much closer than
I think. You actually believe. Hater, hater b Nah, I
don't care, you don't care. No number five is.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Higher than seven.
Speaker 10 (38:38):
He'll never convince me with any analytics or logic in otherwise,
so we should have benched our players, We should have
played all backups. Nobody should have been out there when
we were running into the end zone.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Just fall down.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Don't go in lose this game.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
That's fair.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
No, But I think when you look at this like
this game, like Tannis said, and I think this was
a one of the reasons it's awesome doing the show
with you guys is you can't go into a game
kind of half cock half cock. That's exactly right. And
this game, while not meaning things for maybe the league
or playoff individually, it means something for me and and
(39:12):
or the players playing. So like, obviously Bobby Wagner gets
two thousand.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Tackles chasing history third person, they have to do.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
It, yes, And then von Miller gets his ninth sack
of the season. He got five hundred thousand dollars half
So Terry McLaurin, he's the gosh, I don't want to
butcher this stat. He got a thousand yards in his
career against the Eagles. He's in like the top four
now in terms of receiving yards against the Eagles. Yeah,
(39:40):
so top five, excuse me, And so like those are
important milestones, right, Yeah, he's a fifth player in franchise
history to hit this number against Philly, Art Monk, Ryan Mitchell,
Charlie Taylor, Gary Clark, GZ Bobby Mitch, what I say, Sorry,
that's my fault.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
That's my fault.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
You get to hate it. Yeah, yeah, said that mustache.
But and then the other one that I think is
maybe the most important is Josh Johnson is playing for
next year, yeah right, Ben Sinnett is playing for a
larger role next year.
Speaker 4 (40:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Brandon Coleman is playing to start next year. Right.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
Everybody is playing to out a data point to their rest.
We don't get but seventeen of these.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
And the next thing is they have all the rest
they can they can ask for because they're not saying anywhere.
So why not play your last game, Because regardless if
you're playing for something or not, that's another chance to
put something good on tape.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Maybe maybe he.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Might not be playing for nothing for here, Yeah you
could be playing for another team to watch that tape
and say, well, these guys at least did this guy
finished drum?
Speaker 4 (40:39):
And then think about it.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
A guy like Johnny Newton got hot the last couple
of games in a year. He's finna go into next
year feeling like a king.
Speaker 5 (40:45):
And Deron Payne shows you how dominant he's been all
year long. He was in the backfield so much in
that first half. I was like, I was like Dron
Paym playing for a new contract as well.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Yeah you know so yeah, And I think about again,
like it's it's easy to relate this to my own
ex experience, my own career, Like in twenty eleven, I've
started the last four games because Fred and.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Cooley were both hurt.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
And I will tell you that experience set me up
for my your career in twenty twelve, Like I had
my most productive year of my career in twenty twelve
and twenty thirteen. And I would look at twenty eleven
and say, I got to play, I get to see
what NFL speed looks like, NFL complexity, and gave me confidence. Right,
so I know it doesn't seem like a lot. This
is different than a preseason game. This is a real game.
(41:26):
It means something to the guys, and it's a great
opportunity for them to add experience to their careers.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Hater, Hater, Are we good? How are we feeling?
Speaker 7 (41:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (41:33):
I'm not here. Okay, you guys always talking to them always,
you guys.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
F Santa Santa man with his magic.
Speaker 10 (41:41):
And let me just say, when it comes to the draft,
stuff'd say is a mutant logan one of the smartest
guys I know, Fred, one of the smartest guys I know.
And you'll be on the Drive to the Draft podcast
this season comes out.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Every month to the Road to the Drive.
Speaker 10 (41:55):
Just like and subscribe to the podcast channel. It come
out every Monday. You guys will be on it and
we'll really dive deep into a lot of this stuff
you just talked about. It's it's a good place for
draft information.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Absolutely.
Speaker 11 (42:09):
If you're an Eagles fan, hop on there too.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
We love hearing for the program. It ain't they good.
You might well see the draft through our LII.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Yeah, we were really high on Johnny Wilson. I know
he did some stuff for you guys.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
Yeah, that really let us down what you actually think
He's gonna be a player though.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
We'll talk about that one.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
He might turn it to a tight end.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Man, dude, look at this.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
It's just fun. We're in it.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
We're in the mix, all right. So we got to
do break three. Okay, break three US Army.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
You said was gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Oh, you're gonna do it if you want me to.
Speaker 4 (42:39):
Yeah, all right, let's just get her done.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
They say, you. Your work defines who you are. Monday
through Friday, nine to five, you're clocking in. But what
happens on the weekend, what happens to your time? You
could take it easy, or you could use that time
to get better. In the US Army we think different.
Your time should be used to improve the skills you
(43:03):
do have to learn some you don't, to push yourself
in new ways, because it's those days that truly define
who you are.
Speaker 4 (43:13):
That's how you make progress. This is how you make
an impact on.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
The world around you. It's your time. How you spend
it is up to you. It's your time. The US
Army Reserve, let's row.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Let's go, That's all I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
Friend, I was out mostly reserved.
Speaker 5 (43:30):
Oh all right, what we got?
Speaker 2 (43:35):
So what we got next is the Moon Moon and
that's powered by Big Bear AI, Mission Ready AI for
a rapidly evolving world. It's the Adam Peters Draft Review.
And because Tanner, I don't know if you guys know
this about Santanna, he is a stock Nerd stock Nerd
Investment Nerd gives us off air great advice. This is
(43:56):
not a financial show, so don't take his advice. Yeah,
he said, investing it. So what we're gonna do is
we're gonna say we got we got four categories. Best
return on investment, a player who is value want to
hold ten ds, so good value, like a good opportunity,
and then to one that's going to the moon. Okay,
(44:16):
so we're gonna start with best return on investments. And
because this is Tannis segment, yeah, unless you want me
to start, I want you guys to start it all.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
Best return on investments, Bill Krosskey Mary, we invested a
seven round pick and we got a start and running back.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
We invested in the guy that didn't even play his
senior here.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
We gotta start in running back and not just a
starting running back, a big time breaker, can't break.
Speaker 6 (44:43):
I like that. I like that.
Speaker 5 (44:44):
I'm gonna say I'm gonna jump out then and let
you go last my best return on I would go
with build. Also, I think also Coleman is one of
those guys. I think he's a guy that you have.
He's he's one of those those depth spots. You know,
we needed them just late in the season this year,
late in the season he was able to and he
could have he could have been a guard.
Speaker 6 (45:01):
He could. He played tackle a lot.
Speaker 5 (45:03):
So when you have a guy that's interchangeable that can
do more for your money, you know when your money
can go along for you. But to me, I feel
like that's a that's a huge return on the investment.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
I'm a little surprised with you.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
I thought for sure best return on investment was going
to be Jordan McGee.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
Yeah he lives McGee, I got him.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
Okay, But I'm just gonna say he's gonna be my
best return on investment because he's a guy that every
year got a little bit better paid the dividend, working
in the right direction, and I think he's poised. You know,
if Bobby Wagner chooses not to come back or whatever happens,
you can put that green dot on and for a
fifth round pick to be worried to be wearing the
green dot. Yeah, that seems like a good ro o.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
I on that all right.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
So one stock that you gotta hold, I want to
hold on to because we think it's gonna grow in
value moving in.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
I got you, So who wants to go?
Speaker 6 (45:51):
You go first.
Speaker 4 (45:52):
I'm gonna go with Johnny Newton.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
I'm gonna hold right there because health finally getting the
practice a lot, finally feeling the NFL LAPP. I think
the best play from Johnny Newton is in the future.
I'm gonna hold with Johnny Newton. I'm waiting on greatness
through Johnny Newton. I'm gonna say I could go, I
can go anyway with this. I can go either Trey
Amos and Santas there, I feel like they're both in
(46:17):
the same category.
Speaker 5 (46:18):
I'm holding both of those guys. I'd say Trade showed
you out the gate. I mean to me, it was
arguably our best corner. You know, up until he got it,
he got injured. You got a guy in Santister, he
let the team and picks again. I mean, at the
end of the day, he's showing you that person to
do that under size may be undersize at time, but
he's showing you that that he's somebody to be reckoning
without in the secondary. Now, I think the question would
(46:40):
be where we have them at most of the time.
Do we put them outside more so than inside? Who knows,
But I think those two guys there are one of
those investments that Hey, go ahead, and it's almost like
buying that Amazon stock. Baby, I talked, talk to me
in the future.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Yeah, so I got one that maybe is gonna be
a little surprising, and it's gonna be jayde and Daniels
because last year he was to move. He was everybody's
hot stock, and this year everyone's like always heard what's
going on, killing down everything. Hold on to that. Yeah, man,
I think you got a franchise stop. I think you've
got a franchise quarterback. And I think after this offseason
he's going to be motivated, he's going to be focused,
(47:15):
he's gonna come back better than ever.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
And so don't you got you got some Jane Daniels.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
Start from last year.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
You don't saw that thing?
Speaker 2 (47:21):
I see where you were going there. Hold on to
that socker, right, yeah, all right, So now we got
the ten DS, which is just just good old.
Speaker 4 (47:27):
Good old fashioned back, good old fashioned value.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
Mine would be McCaffrey. I thought it's the year's start
to go on. He was headed to the Pro Bowl
as a return, he was leading the nffamily return And
next thing, you know, guess who I see dunking on
people scoring touchdown, say wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
It was McCaffrey.
Speaker 3 (47:46):
I'm telling you right now, for what we paid for
this guy for what he's looked like he's turning into
we got us one right there.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
All I'm saying is a lot of bad you for
a little pay right.
Speaker 6 (47:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Connolly to Chase. Yeah, and
we can share.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
I mean, I just feel like, man, when you have
a guy you went out there and to me, he
was one of our top draft picks this past season
and one of the guys on the officer line that
played every game and don't snap snap and it was
he asked my eyes and he asked my loads. That's
port of football. But I can live with that knowing
that he's attendee. He's a guy that we going to
bring up the right way. He try out by error.
(48:26):
He learned by trial by error, and that's one of
the best ways to learn.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
Baptize in fire.
Speaker 5 (48:30):
I was just about to say, put his face in
the fan and he know better next time not to
do it again. And so that's that's gonna be my guy,
because I feel like he's one of those guys that
what he took, what he experienced this this year, this
off season, I could see him going in and say,
I'm gonna take all that I learned and work on
the things I need to learn and work on things
I need to get better at and come back a
different kind of guy next year.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
I got you, So I think, Yeah, Josh Connelly, I
total agree that I was debating whether to put him
here or in the to the moon talking about a
cornerstone piece at right tackle.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
Moving forward fifty.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
I know like he and just when you see him,
he looks like such a baby sit and then when
he put the strint through, we get a little bit bigger,
you know. Yeah, I think that's a great value. So
for for my tend Yeah, I'm gonna go. I think
a guy that we all forget about a Jean Baptiste,
because I think Jean Baptiste when he's healthy, has a
shot to be a guy loan right, and again maybe
this is maybe this is best return on investment or
(49:21):
our socky shroll onto, But like Jean Baptiste is something
the size, the physicality, the power, and again he's got
to put all together, you guys, stay healthy. But I
do think if he's healthy, it's a great value for
where you're getting them all right, Now, let's go to
the moon. Who wants to start to listen? Let me
make shies.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
What's the best movie in the Star Wars franchis? Oh no,
that's a favorite.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Is it? The second one? Like all the old ones?
The second one return? Yeah? Right, Luke had got down
for a while.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
I cut my hand off.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
I ain't you know who my dad?
Speaker 4 (50:01):
Yeah what, Darth Vader told him. I'm your daddy.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
Listen to me.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
Jaden Daniels, the Return of the Jedi through the Roof.
After having that Successy's first year, then him being hurt
in and out of the game playing this year, Him
watching Caleb Health's assist, him watching both Knicks take his
team to the playoffs for the second time, him watching
other guys.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
It's a fire burning right there.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
And I think he's going to outball his rookie year
in passing yards and rushing touchdowns through the Roof.
Speaker 4 (50:37):
Return of the Jedi.
Speaker 5 (50:38):
Well, I told you I was gonna save my guy
for last, and this is this is the perfect spot
for him.
Speaker 6 (50:42):
I got Jordan McGee.
Speaker 5 (50:44):
Oh, I think what we've seen this year is what
I've been waiting for. He talked about him a year ago,
was waiting wondering why he was on the field so explosive,
well put together, man is like a dog on a muscle.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
I mean, I mean that day that Bluefoock sayd.
Speaker 5 (51:01):
Man who is that he was out there getting ready
to do the show on the field and Bluefoot couldn't.
He was he was throwed off a little bit, you
know what I mean, he started fanboying a little bit.
But at the same time, man, what I saw this
year is what you need to see and the guy
that you know that's trending in the right direction.
Speaker 6 (51:16):
You know, we talked about Bobby being here.
Speaker 5 (51:18):
We talked about wanting Bobby back for guys just like
Jordan McGee because you want to teach him how to
be a pro, teach him how to go out there
and what it takes to be on the field for
the first seventeen game season, what it takes to go
out there and throw your body around and bring the
pain the way these guys know how to do at
that position. But not only that, man just being one
of those those sponges. Man picking up from one of
(51:39):
the best in the game. And I think when you
see old fifty seven, old Yellow move out of the way, Yeah,
it's gonna be that five eight standing there and we're
gonna be saying you know what, he looks just like
those guys that AP got over there, and saying friend,
just like just like those want though Fred Warren's and
all those guys that flew around and made play after
play in the run game.
Speaker 6 (51:58):
In the past game, I say, Joe McGee.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
To the moon, dude, he sold me. I'm about to
buy some stocking, Jacob Jordan McGee, I'm in on it, man.
That was a great pitch, Tanner. So for me, it's
mine's Bill Crosskey Merrit Dollar. I just think when you
see a guy that's got that home run ability and
the running back position in addition to the lateral agility,
the contact balance, Like I was so shocked. I good
(52:22):
he ran the A and the B gain. Yeah, I
just think he's gonna and again like I think he's
a thousand yard rusher, easy right, and so get more opportunities,
get more involved in the past game, like he strikes
me as a guy who has a ton of ability
to make this offense really dynamic. And and again, so
he's my guy that's gonna go to the movie before
we get to hell Yeah our hell no, I got
(52:43):
I got an update. Yeah, so Champ Bailey yeah, guess
somebody tackles he had in his whole career fourteen years,
didn't it?
Speaker 4 (52:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (52:50):
So fourteen years, let's go, you.
Speaker 6 (52:54):
Had about nine by.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
S MO three, Tanna's got it nine thirty one.
Speaker 4 (53:00):
That's a lot of tackles, a lot of tackles. But
Champ did kind of play some nickel in there too, too.
Speaker 1 (53:05):
Yeah. I mean that's that's a lot. That's double your tackles.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
However, your mouth. Darryl Revis, how many Darrell sorry.
Speaker 4 (53:13):
Played thirteen years?
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Did he play that long? I thought so?
Speaker 1 (53:16):
Think he played how many night?
Speaker 6 (53:17):
Twelve eleven or twelve seven hundred?
Speaker 4 (53:20):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Five leave it at five?
Speaker 7 (53:26):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (53:27):
So he was Wow.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
So he right there with me, right there with you.
So guess how many interceptions?
Speaker 3 (53:33):
But chahead, Champ got sixty three, sixty.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
Four, fifty two fifty two, Yeah, which is a crazy
number of interceptions.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
Well, I played with Darren Shoppe with he had sixty three?
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Did he really?
Speaker 4 (53:44):
Yeah? He's he caught it with some of the greats.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
Wow, Revis had how many?
Speaker 6 (53:50):
They ain't throwing him a lot?
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (53:51):
I say probably.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Twenty nine, twenty nine.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
Dame, I'm a Paul no I ain't throw it. They
didn't throw at it. So when you're a coner that
don't get through it, you ain't gonna get nobody.
Speaker 4 (54:06):
Way he was, he would like it, folks down.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
It was excellent.
Speaker 3 (54:09):
Now I would have thrown it way more than that, though,
because he just wasn't getting he wasn't getting ht volume.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
How many times have the real Reeves.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Played with a cone on the other side, then make
him throw back at him like Jim had me to
make some people throw back at it.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
Yeah, and then you have twenty one interceptions, which is
pretty close actually, I mean, and then London Fletcher.
Speaker 1 (54:28):
Has twenty three.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
Love you had to throw it in.
Speaker 1 (54:31):
Just I mean, it's not even on here. I just
put that in that so it just says some contract.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
Yeah, okay, so yeah, that's you're kind of right line,
right m right where I was supposed to be.
Speaker 6 (54:40):
You were tackling up something.
Speaker 3 (54:42):
Listen, man, I had the game see a saving tackle
against Philadelphi on the one ain't line.
Speaker 4 (54:48):
I ain't one ain't line.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
It was eleven freads out there that it took a level.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
I remember when I called a hunt up Fred, Fred,
and Fred you gotta go out here and make him play.
Speaker 4 (55:02):
All right, break y'all, stay over there. We got it.
Speaker 1 (55:08):
That would be the craziest huddle.
Speaker 8 (55:10):
Eleven friends on the field, full of giggles and just
talking to every.
Speaker 4 (55:19):
Listen to me, y'all.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
I'm gonna tell you what's funny being in a huddle
with London. My good thing I can say about old
cap taen old captain. He's gonna call it hudd up.
And I used to always kind of stay a little
bit to the left because his spit radies is at
least at least like four feet.
Speaker 4 (55:37):
He has spin on every d lineman, every liveman. He
spent on shuns.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
Like what happened calling a couple of folks, I said,
anything with the word folk come out of his mouth.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
It's some spit behind it.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
It's some different things that's happened in football, and nobody
liked to talk about.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
That's one of them. While you're making the call.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
Yeah all right, so now we got hell Yeah, Hell.
It's brought to you by the US Army. Be tested,
not just on paper. Be strong and more than muscle,
Be courageous and supported by a mighty team. Be all
you can be. Visit go Army dot com. To learn more.
All right, So here we go a little background before
our question of the day. So Adam Peters and San France.
(56:24):
So in twenty nineteen they lost the Super Bowl. They
were thirteen and three. The next year they were six
and ten. Okay, for me, at a lot of injuries,
a lot a lot of injuries, okay. Jimmy Garoppolo, CJ. Bether,
Nick Mullins all quarterbacks there, so not great. Okay, it
took him a couple of years. But in twenty twenty
(56:44):
two or twenty twenty one, so really the next year
ten and seven, they're back at the following year thirteen
and four, twenty twenty three, twelve and five. Okay, so
let's look at what Adam did here, right, So he
was twelve and five, lost the NFC Championship game. Okay,
in twenty three we're five and eleven. Jane Daniels, Marcus Mariota,
Josh Johnson, all injuries. What does twenty twenty four hold
(57:08):
for this town? To twenty six? Twenty five?
Speaker 4 (57:11):
Was savage?
Speaker 2 (57:13):
No, he did that for savatage twelve.
Speaker 5 (57:18):
I was just reading he was five and twelve, by
I got.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
I gotta think and speak. It's just hard man.
Speaker 5 (57:27):
So twenty four were twelve and five yes, thank you
and twelve and what twenty six hold for ye?
Speaker 1 (57:32):
What a twenty six old for us?
Speaker 2 (57:33):
Thank you?
Speaker 4 (57:33):
Got you. I think it's gonna be good for us because.
Speaker 2 (57:36):
So let's let's get to the question stood, Let's get
to the hell yeah or hellna? Yeah, the Commanders get
back on track next season, hell yeah or hellna hell yeah.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
I believe the quarter make can be a lot more
focused and he'll be healthy. Uh, We're gonna find all
the weaknesses and we're gonna make them strengths, and we're
gonna have a youth infusion, and I think that makes
us just a faster over team.
Speaker 5 (58:00):
I say hell yeah for the simple fact that I'm biased,
I'm gonna say hell yeah regardless. But also too, man,
I just feel like when you go through season like
we went through with someone to a certain guy, especially
our quarterback. Now it's gonna be it's gonna be interesting
because now we gonna have new o C. So do
we carry over one of these guys that's in the
building who we have in the building. We have a
couple of guys who who who's called plays before you
(58:22):
got Johnson. That's still another quarterback coach. I believe he
called plays before. Over then, Philly, I think you have
another couple of guys. So we'll see how that transpire.
Or do we go get a new OC. Now we
go get a new OC, does it fits what we
do when with our quarterback? But I'm gonna still say
hell yeah for this reason what we went through this
year injury wise.
Speaker 6 (58:43):
Man, I don't wish tell our worst enemy, but.
Speaker 5 (58:45):
I believe that in the in the in the training room,
in the in the weight room, and these guys individually
will come back with a different focus. I think the
coaching staff would also know that, Hey, you know what,
maybe I need to push the envelope a little bit.
Maybe training camp need to be I need Maybe I
need to go out there and get these guys those
catosts that we talk about, Hey, doing training camp, doing
the off season, we need to do something different because
(59:07):
whatever we did, we're gonna scrap that and make sure
that we have what we're looking for. And I just
I feel like, man, we've been here. You know, I've
had seasons where if if if you get cut off
of what you did for the previous year, then we
should all get cut, you know what I mean, and
then the next year you go turn around, you have
a Pro Bowl season, season it happens. This game is
one of those things, man, that you can be down
(59:29):
one moment, the next moment you be on the top
of the mountain. I just felt like we had enough
guys in here that we can be on.
Speaker 3 (59:33):
The top of the training camp to go back to Richmond,
back to Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
You and Carliss Listen, I was the last. Yeah, listen, man,
you in the middle of nowhere.
Speaker 5 (59:46):
I think I think Richmond would be more more suitable, suitable. Yeah,
And even if we don't go to Richmond, just need
to go out there and and little more, you know,
we need to hear some paths clacking a little bit
more and see some guys out they're really putting in.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Putting that.
Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
I guess you can say getting that wear and tear,
getting that callus getting that calls getting that wear and
tear out of them or or or put on them
before the season rolls around, because it's hard to get
in shape during the season. Think about how many times
we in off season having a good time, and then
that little mini series come in a little spring that
come in, but you hadn't been doing thathing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Before that spring. It is it's a grass.
Speaker 5 (01:00:23):
It hurts to be running those conditioning things that we
had to do and lifting.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Ways you'd be out there like damn boy, should have.
Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Not been drinking. I got an all speed the times
that I came in and I done worked out right
after the right after the Pro Bowl, I mean right
after the Super Bowl, and I went out there and
started my workout, and by the time we came in,
I came in shape and I breathed through that stuff.
So guys understand what they did last year, what they
didn't do. And so with that being said, that's why
I feel like it's a hell yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
And so for me, like I think Tanner brings up,
you know, kind of some of that. To me, it's
a statistical variance thing, you know, from a statistics perspective,
injury regression is a thing that we experience this year
will kind of bounce back to the mean or get
back to lining in it.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
It makes your de better because you're just starts.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
And so we're going to be back to the mean,
right Our strength of schedule will decrease right, because that's
what happens when you're don't have a winning right. And
so all of those metrics that were kind of against
us last year working for we'll be working for us
this year. I think again the health of the quarterback
spot health with Terry, all these guys in the print, like,
it'll just get better. So I think, yes, hell yeah,
(01:01:31):
they do bounce back. I think I trust Adam Peters
to find the right guys in free agency, trust the
right guys in the draft, and again like, if you
can hit on some of those and make this roster
a little bit deeper, a little bit more dynamic, got
a shot to make some waves. So I'm gonna say,
hell yeah, all right, that's gonna do it for days show.
