Speaker 2 (01:50):
Man, But I just chill over some friend's house some
good food.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
All right, man, So one tradition that you always have
we used to have as that turkey go out and uh,
you have a good time on Thanksgiving. So we're gonna
do something like that. We're gonna draft our own Turkey
Bowl teams, and we're gonna use some of our Command
center analysts. For the first one, each one of us
(02:17):
get up picked, we're gonna select one command center analysts.
Then the second second thing we're gonna do, we're gonna
select one current commander defensive player. And then for the
third choice, you get to select one current commanders on offense.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Okay, so we're.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Gonna start off first, and since I'm hosting this, we're
gonna select one Command center analyst to be on our team.
And I got the first pick. My choices are Fred
or Smooth be Minch or Logan. Now you know, I
ain't even picking Fred. I got a feeling that the first.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I'm going with the future Hall of Famer Logan.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
You and your atletics is cool. But we're gonna play
this game on Man, I might, I might. I'm gonna
have to leave Fred to Tanna. I'm going with Logan. Man, Logan,
he's gonna write up some players and somebody he gonna
block for Loan block glad.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Y'all hate so much for Fred because the fresh move
that I know is one of the baddest dbs that
came into this league. His first his first couple of
stints here as a as a Redskins slash commander, whatever
you want to call it, Fred was leading the lead,
leading his team and pick.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
So go on, my guy, Fred Smooth, that's my players.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
We don't talk. What do you do about?
Speaker 5 (03:43):
I'm gonna have him taped back into the whole frid Man.
So I got a good picking Fred, all.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Right, So now I get to go first.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
And when I got the current defensive players, right, I
get to go first, man and the Turkey bowl man.
I got a guy. I gotta get a guy who
can do it all. He can play all offense, defense,
go both ways. And I'm gonna have to go with
my guy, Frankie lou Man. I already know I was going,
you love, he can play.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I gets the second so defensively, oh man, I gotta
go with the current guy uh defense who I like
because you know you Louver is one of my guys. Man,
you know that's that's the guy I can see playing
both ways. I'm gonna go with my man, Amos.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
That's a real good one. Yeah, you want to dbs
back to back, Man.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Turkey ball game, you gotta you gotta. I'm strategizing hockey,
so I get the last pick. I'm thinking about Kinlaw
because he can be disruptive. But right so are we
gonna be at are we rushing the passer? Who was
rushing passer? He's gonna be impactful. But here I'm about
(05:00):
to I'm about the third cold ball at y'all, I'm
gonna take Jordan McGee.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
That's one.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Talking about speed. I need some speed athleticism. I feel
like he could. He could do a little bit of everything. Officive.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I feel like you got guys who can run the ball,
but I don't know if you got anybody who can
catch it when you need a big bomb, because there's
always gonna come down to mom and the turkey ball.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
They're gonna give it to the gonna get tagged off.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
He run.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
They got too angry, man, So I guess I need
to start off offensively.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Man, game, come on, I'm going with five.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, why not? You got Fred could be your quarter.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
I don't don't need I got Fred could be what
he could be. They're gonna get on your nerves and
we're gonna make plays. You know, I need somebody to run. Okay,
I'm going with five.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Okay, we gotta learn him number two, number two offensively.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Well, I'm glad you mentioned I need somebody to get
the deep ball to the ball sho. I got Terry Okay,
smooth k covery. Well, I'm state all state.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yeah, I know, I'm gonna have to go with a
guy man, because I'm gonna just stick into the body type.
I'm gonna have to go with Zach Erst Man. I got,
you know, because I need guys who can play both ways. Man,
So Zach looked like he could, you know, he could
be a cover. You cover everybody. I got guys some
covert the.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Course, looking at looking at you team, I don't know,
Sean Man, you got loaded you. I don't know you
already got the third place already But Frankie frank X factor.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
But in London playing the championship, Man, we we got
You have to see those two teams playing the championship.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
You got you got a QB who's going with you
to receive it?
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Ye?
Speaker 1 (07:01):
His receiver?
Speaker 5 (07:02):
Fred played both ways.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Just gonna pick on Fred team. So I told.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Myself respect for and London is like a lot better
because he can't blocked.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Not that blockers, is that blockers, So he's a liability.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Here's here's what your miss. Listen, we got b Mitch.
He was a quarterback. I get that, but I got
him and I got Terry. But y'all have about blocking though, Well.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
We're gonna blow who were blocking.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
You're gonna watch look first, I gotta be able to
cover what they feel. Realize, man, that teams made up.
We're gonna be like the little seven on seven teams
out here right now. Man, we're just gonna be running
up and down the field, you know, all.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Just all those guys both ways, all right, fellas, all right,
all right, that was a good one. I took third
place on us the segment to his memories against the Broncos. Now,
I had when in my early days in the AFC West,
I played against the old l Way and guy. So
I had some long memories about these Broncos. But starting
(08:10):
off with you, Tanna, man like I don't, I can't
remember the Bronco game. Well, let's talk about Santana had
four games against.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
I'm just trying. Yeah, I know, that part of it.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
But I'm just saying like I'm trying to find, like, Oh,
I do have one memory of playing against them.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
It was Old five.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
I think my best. I think most of these yards
come from that game. I believe I had ninety two
hundred yards against them. They had your boy Lynch playing
safety at that time. We went up to Tampa and
Champ was it was there too, Yeah, Champs on that team, Lynch.
I remember Lynch hitting me come across the middle.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
I do remember that the Lynch played for the Broncos
or he played for Kansas City.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
It was.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Lynch. It was Lynch. Remember the hit.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I remember that hit. I remember that hit. I don't
remember what I did in.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
That game, but I remember you played four games, but
you don't remember, Like that's one of those teams you
don't playing.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
We played them in thirteen out there, thirteen I remember,
I remember playing them with them. I had one catch
that game playing at thirteen there, also played them. I
had Josh mcdans was their head. Had play against player
here in d C.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
We beat them. Yeah, I just don't.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
I can't find no more.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Just one game that I can't.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
I know mostly all the team I remember, so I
going against the bed, you have five games, three sacks
and thirty six tackles. Oh yeah, oh yeah, okay, thirty
thirty six tackles five games. My averages off with that
one though. I normally I normally get out of bed
with at least ten at least fifty. But the three sacks, though,
I remember we played them in the Monday Night Football game,
(09:46):
opening game of the season two thousand. So the Broncos
won the ninety eight Super Bowl. With the Rams, we
won the ninety nine Super Bowl. So the kickoff that
that season, we're playing Monday Night Football in the dawn
is right TV. There he was there, but he was
he was banged up, Steve. He was dealing with the three.
I think Bob Greasy or or Brian Greasy was the quarterback.
(10:10):
Still had Rod easy Head, I believe was on that air, McCaffrey.
But your boy put in work, man.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
I had.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I think I had like sixteen tackles in that game
and in two sacks on Monday Night football.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
I was all over that field. And that was that
was opening up the season because I just won the
Super Bowl. So what was that like, man? Coming? Was
that game? Crazy?
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Is that crazy crazy because you know now they have
a where this defensive Super Bowl champion started the season
off for the third and nine, we played them on Monday, right,
I mean it was crazy crazy, but Ninas.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Yeah. And I put in work. So I had.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
I had twelve games against some forty eight tackles, eleven
pd PD past breakups.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
And five minutes t five five picks against. That's what work.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
It was putting some work, man for that's what average
four tackles. The game you did's some things I talk
about the top the pds of the past. Well, the
thing is, man, I'm gonna be honest with you all.
When we had Luke on the show, I told you
my very first game against Denver, they were.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Booing me talking about ED. It took me to school.
They talking about Ed. It took me to school.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
So once I realized that, uh, because that team that
was the ninety seven ninety eighteen they were good. I
knew like coming in against Denver that was the standard
for in the AFC. Everybody knew going against l Way, Shannon, ed,
Rod Smith, TD and all them boys. So I played
hard man, and uh, I think my memory, my biggest
(11:42):
memory against them is I was playing in the game
in Denver and Elway was going through signals. I was
playing in the Nickel, was in the reds on. He
gave me a wink wink, like that wink. That man
threw a testdown to Shandon shop. I said, all man,
he broke the record. I have another great memory. I
was in the game when TD rash. He needed like
one hundred and ninety yards and he had like ninety
(12:04):
in the first half. He needed one hundred and ninety
for two thousand. Man, they cranked that these up on
the second half. Man, they was running down hell. Man,
he had two thousand yards on us.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Man.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
I had to google because I'm like, man, what did
I do against you? It was O five when I
told you I had that big game gives them. I
had thirteen targets at eight.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
We what are we playing at?
Speaker 5 (12:28):
In Denver?
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I had I had one hundred and sixteen yards that game.
That's why I was looking. I'm like, I had a
one to fifty three.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
So we played him in Denver.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Yeah, we played with Dember and we to It was
ten nine, so it was we lost that game, yea
nineteen one?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
No, it was it was the October the night. Yeah, wow,
but I got to get back to you, Shah. I
guess we didn't say they didn't have to be great memories.
But the memories you just described, the Broncos put their
work on you.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Did not mean the other team gave that was on them.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
So you talk about t O breaking the record. Wait,
wicked that you throw the pic of t d O,
but you have five interceptions? How would you do you
remember the pure Yeah? I do remember the picture. What
was your most did you have a most rememberable? On
Greashi in the slot, they tried to run a pivot
ride on me. I dived out, dived out in front
of and picked it off.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
So but you know what, I have bad memories again
because you know what I said. And every time I
see CP, he never let me down. Man might have
ran I think he's still rushing fire. He might have
rushed five hundred yards on defense is terrible. C ran
up and down the field on this man. And give
a shout out to Clinton porters, because I don't think
a lot of people know what CP did that one
(13:47):
year in Denver.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
He was he was great, was dominated?
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah, shout out to when we traded for him.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
So we got him, all right, fellas all right, fellas man,
it's time to take a look at this matchup against
these Broncos. Yeah, we're just talking about we got Broncos
coming up in town this week thirteen matchup. Let's preview
a little bit about this game. It's time for fast
Lane presented by Easton Automotive Group, any car any way
(14:18):
for everyone since nineteen eighty eight.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
We were just talking about little.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Memories of us, you know, going against these guys. What
is something you I guess you could say looking forward
to seeing. I mean, we talked earlier about just somehow
dominant their defense is and everything.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
But let's start. Let's start with the Washington defense. Well,
what have we saw?
Speaker 3 (14:43):
What kind of adjustments did you see these guys make
when we was up in Spain against Miami, And what
are they gonna need going forward? You know, not only
this game coming up Sunday night, but going forward for
the rest of the season.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I saw a variety of just felt like they were
consistent playing in the back end, but was variety of
Blitzer still, So no matter who we were consistent in
the back of, whether it was covering three, covered man
or whatever, we were running, but I liked on third.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Down man, we was blitzing the safety at times.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
I said, linebackers like weeks out corner blood, corner blood.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
So I got a question for that?
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Is that something like? Because people asking?
Speaker 3 (15:20):
And I heard von Miller's take on and on things
on the Junkies and he spoke about it's not really
a difference what who called the plays. He says mostly
on the players, but us as being players. And I told,
you know, I told my guy on the show I
was just doing the other night. I was like, look,
that's von Miller. Not gonna throw nobody on the bus too.
But it's not saying it's not an indictment against Joe Witt,
(15:42):
because I think he's been doing a tremendous job too.
But I just feel like when you have a feel
for something, you just know the timing when I need
to see something different, you know, maybe I might call
the same play, but I'm gonna put a wrinkle in
here that if we don't do what I want them
to do, then this should save us. Do you think
that's what's kind of the I think, in.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Fact, two different things happen. First of all, just.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Play calling is an art, whether it's we we've all
had different play callers, and you can have the same
offensive scheme, same defensive scheme and two different guys call it.
It's about time and and feel and when to call
certain plays, want to die, certain things up and and
also I think too. So that's that's one thing, just knowing,
like from an instinct your standpoint. Hey, I think this
(16:27):
is this is what I like here, and I feel
like this is get off the off the field. But
there was another thing that took place. You all of
a sudden, you got the head coach leading those defensive
meeting guys. Now, so you're gonna perk up everybody, you
say what you want about d Q. But if you
are a job and your boss comes into the building
(16:48):
into your room, you gonna and you're gonna already be
a good worker, but you're just gonna he's a boss.
Your attention to details. So I saw a team of
defense that were they played with better connectivity, especially on
the back end. Guys were more disciplined and what their
(17:10):
runs gaps were. Responsibility was still miss too many tackles,
still got a little gut creased a little bit on
the edges, But I think that was a little bit
just just a guy being hair off or or still
a couple of personnel things just from injuries that we're
dealing with. But we played better and when it came
time to hey, we're gonna do a little couple of
different things different We're gonna bring a corner as a
(17:34):
as an added rusher. We only brought four guys, but
it was the four that we brought and were able
to get home there. Mixing up the coverages, played a
lot on its own coverage, keep everything in front of you,
didn't give up the big plays, had one plus twenty
yard pass play on the miss tackle. But overall, I
thought we did a lot of really good things. Able
to get to the quarterbacks too in that game.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah, I mean, you know, when you're talking about their
defense and some of the things that you know we're
gonna have to do, feelings against their offense, what are
some of the things you think we're gonna have to
do just to contain what Bo Nixon this offense has
been doing this season, because I think the run game,
to me, has helped him out a lot tremendously. And
now that you have Dobbinson, he's gonna be down. What
(18:15):
have you seen from Harvey so far this year? YEA,
what thing he can do?
Speaker 1 (18:18):
And I want to I want to talk about Harvey.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
But more importantly, man, I think we got to go
into a Sunday night game with Sean Payton and bow
Knicks connection, and we're going piggybacking off kind of like
what London was saying about people who have a feel
for play calling. We all know that Sean Payton is
one of the best at scheming up things and stuff.
So and in one of the things I learned from
Greg Williams man when we was in Washington, he was like, hey,
(18:42):
listen on Monday night or No, it was actually Bill
Belichick who told me this. Said, Monday night or Sunday night,
when Sewn is in front of national television, he's gonna
take a shot, he's gonna try to embarrass it, he's
gonna do something. So I for me, what's gonna be
interesting to see how we go into this game name
as Dan Quinn, who's proven defens coordinator against Sean Payton
(19:04):
in the Bowl Knicks. So I'm looking forward to that
matchup and seeing that chemistry between the quarterback and coordinator
and Bobby and those guys. So I'm looking at more
of the scheme and overall firstus going as an individual.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah, when you look at Nicks, I don't know if
people coming out, I don't know if people really gave
him as much credit for its athleticism. Yeah, right, and
just studying the quarterbacks when they're coming out. I'm looking
at him, looking at Jane and looking at Drake May.
He was the number one dual threat quarterback coming out
of high school, issue, the number one guy had on
(19:39):
a sixty sixty Sarson College, had success at Auburn, had
success at at Oregon. Well, with Knicks, you're gonna have
to You can have guys covered up, but he can
hurt you with his legs. So keeping him contained inside
the pocket, not allowing him to get outside the pocket
and make plays scrambling with his legs them with their
(19:59):
run losing to JK.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Dobbins definitely gonna hurt.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Now.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
They got a young rookie and Harvey.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
He's had some success running football, but they were better
when they had both that nice little one two punch
with Harvey and JK. Dobbins be able to shut that
down there. How we match up with these guys on
our side, I feel like we match up pretty good
and yes, their receivers, but can we consistently get pressure
on a quarterback and not allow him to escape the pocket?
Speaker 1 (20:28):
And pain and ken Long got to be a factor.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
They have to be like it got to be like
evident that they are out there being destructive.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
I truly believe that some of our best offense had
to come from my defensive side of the ball. I
think because right now we're catching them at the right time.
Not having Dobbins. You know, don't get me wrong with
rookie is a rookie, how good he is or not.
You know, Harvey being there, we can make them look
like a rookie. You know, you get off and you
get off, you file with that ball and play on
the other side of that line of scrimmage defensively, you know,
(20:59):
kN All having having paying back, you know, those guys
have to I want to see those two guys just
be disruptive for the for the remaining of the season,
because I feel like that's where it starts. Are right
now with us, you know what I mean, we don't
We don't have a lot of the guys that we
had on the ends. That was, you know, setting the
tone early in the season. So it's gonna have to
always come from them setting the tone, being that person
(21:19):
that to keep you know, Bobby free so he can
go out there and make the tackles that he's making.
But I want to see us be disruptive in the
inside because in the interior game, if you can, you
can be disruptive through the middle one you're stopping to
run and then you also pushing those guys.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
In the lap of the quarterback. That's the question making
things and money, and I believe the same thing. The
question to you is like what is that like? Like,
like what does that look like for those out there?
Like what do you what do you want to when
you say disruptor what do you mean I.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Mean playing on the other side of the football, Like
you got to be on their side of the line
of much like like I can just I can just
point out to the games where we play Paddy Kate
with guys Seattle, know, Sam Donald had all the time
in the world, Detroit, you know, Golf had all the
time in the world. When when those guys are disruptive,
(22:08):
those guys are not sitting back there patting the ball
one hundred times waiting for got to get open.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
So you have to be on the other side of
the football.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
You have to make that running back when he when
he's getting that ball, he's trying to make you miss
already because you're in the backfield. Some similar to what
we saw the the night when Cowboys is playing playing
the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (22:27):
You have at times, you know, sat Quan and have
a place to run with the ball. He's trying to
make guys miss before he got gone.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
So you know, did you see that Houston defense.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Yeah, that's not that's that's been disrupted. That's like a
that's like a what you call it, Tarancelona calipillar. That's
like seeing something that you ain't too much scene before.
But that's what I want to see from these guys,
and I think that's where it starts. Like we get
some of our best feel position by putting them in
situations from my defensive standpoint to where they have to
(23:00):
punt the ballers.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Now we have we set up a short field.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Now we get those points of the field where we
can take the shot and get ourselves in field goal
range or get ourselves in the range where we can
catch them napping and you know, get a big play
out of our offense.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
So that's what I think we have.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
To be at, man, you know, when it comes to that,
and one of another things, you know, let's switch to
the Broncos defense London.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
You know this past rush.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
You talked about the pass rush and talked about the
forty nine sacks. Man, what are some of the things
you know, you know you've seen and how do we
slow that down? Because offensively, that's one of the things
that I think we have to come into that with,
you know, being cognizance of just like, look, we have
to go to the package or two where that we
played early in the season with more tight ends or
where there's going to be you know, I don't know
what we call it, thirteen twenty two.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
Big, however you want to see it.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
To me, I'm saying, that's what I want to see
because these guys getting off the ball, you know, they.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Getting off the ball, and they have a variety of
guys that can get to the quarterbacks, just not one guy.
And Dick Benito young outside live backer and also his
runner and made Jonathan Cooper.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Uh but and Allen too. With the two edge rushers,
they have seventeen tacks of sacks between them two, so
they get great pressure off the edge, helping it helping
your tight ends. I think the key key match is
gonna be Connerly against Benito. I feel like they'll have
Benito rushing against Condonly as much as possible. That's gonna
(24:24):
be a key for us. But with any defense, especially
high pressure defense, wanted to get a lot of sacks.
Can you run the football against those?
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Can you?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Can you wear them down a little bit? Can you
get in more third and short situations? Thirty manageables as
we like to call them. And I look at thirty
manageables as being five yards or less. Ideally, you would
love to be in a lot of third and fourds
or less going against going against guys like that, Because
now run game still is a park potential. You still
run the ball short, crossing rounds, things like that, get
(24:56):
the ball out the head quickly. You got an athletic
quarterback in Marioda who can hurt you. But you have
to be able to run the football to slow down
this past run.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Now talking about running the football, you know this this
Denver defense is only allowed one rusher to you know,
surpass one hundred yards and that's what you know, that's
that's the guy tailor up.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
There in Indie.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I like what we're doing, you know, collectively with our backs.
I think, you know, Matt Nichols to see a little
more carries. Rodrigue should definitely to start the game.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Almost disappointed.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
I was almost disappointed.
Speaker 5 (25:31):
I was a little disappointed in the second half not seeing.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Him run the ball more in Spain, you know what
I mean, you know, I just I just want to
see the hot guy stay hot. You know, so I
think we have to It has to be a huge
emphasis that that we try to establish something there.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
But how how do we do that?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
You know, they they're stout in the run game, and
you know what do you want to see from my
offense that that we can get that.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Committment commitment to it. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
Well, and also the run game, to to to we
all seeing all year, doesn't necessarily be like a handoff.
It could be like a get us a debo in
a flat horizontal right now. One of the part of
the run game, the run game, one of the things
that when you have a team that has those type
(26:15):
of guys on the outside moving and receivers, reducing the
splits bunch, you know, getting them on crosses, getting them
on quick outs, getting them on quick stuff. Now, if
the defensive coordinator knows that you know that he's running
pick plays on first down and getting our guys in trouble,
he might be more inclined to run. His zone softened
up a little bit, and then you can hit him
(26:36):
with the bat and ramp. So for me, it's all
about it's going to be about the cat and mouse
game of what Cliff is doing, like the r P O, Like, Hey,
I'm gonna act like I'm I'm running and I'm gonna
slipping to the flat to the tight end of south,
and this first down is critical.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
Man first stand ahead of the changes is us.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
But I think this is one of those games to
where you got to bring out You got to go
in your bag, You got to say, look here, I
gotta bring up some stuff that they ain't seen me
for because this defense can just they can flat out
beat you playing the way they play. So you have
to make them a little uneasy with some of the sets,
with some of the formations. You know, you just talked
about some of the bunches. I would love to see
our guys on the outside win. It's gonna be hard
(27:17):
if we do see that that dude with that do
song coming back this week, he almost can just eliminate
one side by himself. But I believe the crossing routes,
the different shallow crosses, the deep overs, things of that
nature sitting down on those zones, and they do play
the zones, finding ways to get the ball moved up
and down the field to allow us to be affect
(27:38):
them in the run game. It's first and foremost, but
I also want to see some option routes. I gotta
see those bunch those bunches where we running those high lows,
you setting there, setting those messages, doing those pig We
got to try to fight and find a way.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
To move the ball.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
And I think if you're moving the ball efficiently, if
you're getting yourself to those those key downs where you're
getting those third and shorts, then you can find a
way to get those three yards with a run here
and there and find a way to get the play
action game involved and show them something that they might
you know, be expected to hit them with a you know,
our Foolith type of play. So I just want to
see us man be dynamic. Whatever way we find a
(28:13):
way to do it, all right, fellas coming up next,
we got our guy be at it. NFL fans, when
it's time to get Commanders tickets, you can tackle game

tailgating with your friends and found even if you headed

Want to meet up inside the stadium with your crew.
Speaker 3 (28:54):

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Welcome back into the players Club. As promised, we got
our man in the middle center Tyler biadis Man.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
I get.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Six year player man drafted out of West Constant, Big
Sad Country. Speaking of West constin Wisconsin. During the bye week,
you had an opportunity to go there.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
I did.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Captain Man, what was it like being back back in Wisconsin?
Speaker 6 (29:29):
It was awesome? No, it was so it was so
much fun.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
I mean, uh, just with their program and I got
to visit them in July before the season started, so
I got to meet meet a lot of those guys
that are upcoming in the going through their senior years
and just kind of giving them kind of like a
interview kind of type setting of like what it's kind
of like because a lot of people have a lot
of questions and stuff like that. So, uh, it was
it was really cool to come back and uh recapture
(29:53):
those relationships for sure.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
So I need to ask you because I didn't even
know this. So did you play with James White?
Speaker 6 (29:58):
I did not know.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Okay, I ain't whit. You know, that's my cousin and
I remember his stint there.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
And it's crazy because most people might know, like sometimes
you find out who your cousin is through the draft process,
but I always knew he was mine because my mom
and his mom my first cousin. But I didn't watch
him growing up, and so when I finally started watching them, like, man,
this dude is standing, it up, So I didn't know that.
Back to Wisconsin, what is it like around that program?
Speaker 6 (30:21):
Man?
Speaker 5 (30:22):
Just you know I'm from the you I heard him
over here boring you to the Ohio state. Yeah, so
what is that program like?
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Because I've seen a lot of guys come from there
and be successful on this level.
Speaker 7 (30:35):
I would say a lot of it's like more more
traditional in regards of like just like the brotherhood, the
culture of the locker room, and it truly is passed.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
Down from generation to generation.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
I really, I really do feel like even when I
went back to but now he's done, he's done of
a job obviously, Like you know, you know, things happen
throughout the season or injuries or like you know, different
types of guys stepping up and you know that's where
the ball bounces sometimes. But but no, just being back
there and I got visit with a lot of guys
before the game the Illinois game and win just kind
of huge, huge, you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (31:05):
They storm the field again, So I got to see that.
I don't feel no, no, no, I was in my seat,
but it was I've never seen it before. I've never
seen a storm field.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
You know, has some big wins We had some big
wins for sure, No, but we just never had to
stay when in school.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
Man, can't you you know.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Because my guy looks so yeah, I mean I'm glad
to see that that win because Luke is the eighties
stuck with him.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Man, So what is what does what does it mean
to bring Luke does a good job? Bring you guys back?
What does it mean to you see a guy like Luke?
Speaker 6 (31:41):
And yeah, it doing.
Speaker 7 (31:42):
Yeah, it's huge because I think just with the alumni
coming back and just being a part of it, but
also like that's so that's such a huge culture that
like when I was there and you got guys coming
back even for like summer workouts before like camp would
hit for the NFL and they would come back. We
got to like talk to about, Hey, what's the experience.
Like I played with like Dart with and like Corey
Clement when they were there, and like they would come
(32:03):
back a lot to like train and we had other
guys too, and a lot of like O Line guys
too and everything.
Speaker 6 (32:08):
But like you got to you know, you.
Speaker 7 (32:10):
Play with them one year, next year you see him
on Sunday and then he comes back like you know,
eight months later, like, Hey, how was the experience?
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Right?
Speaker 7 (32:16):
So, but it's huge because it's just the brotherhood and like,
you know, even if you don't even play with you know,
some of the guys that are that came before you.
You'd see him after NFL games and you just heard
of him or see him on the wall like All
America or whatever, right, and you kind of just like
kind of get a glimpse of what they were like.
Or you watch them past film a league and like
that and you see him after a game and they're like, what's.
Speaker 6 (32:38):
Up, be honest, and I'm like, man, you know. So
that's just like the culture and the tradition. I would say,
it's it's really real.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Yeah, I'm remembering back when we had you on the
show last year. You mentioned you were you're from Wisconsin,
but you were mainly a defensive player in high school.
I was, yeah, but you you didn't want to stay
on the dark side. Brother, didn't want to stay on
the dark side.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
I don't think.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
About how you end up going from a defensive tackle
to end up going to Westcot play at center.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (33:08):
No, And and that's it's so interesting how like it
comes full circle sometimes too, because uh, you know, I
was recruited for both in the middle, had a d.
Liane scholarship, but they kind of said, like, we're going
to test you out of both, and my first day there,
they tested me out of line right away.
Speaker 6 (33:22):
And but I had a lot of great mentors. I mean,
like you know Ryan.
Speaker 7 (33:25):
Ramcheck and you know David Edwards, you know Bill Bench,
Michael Dieter, he's here like you know, and and it
was funny because like I never played center before, so
like even talking to Michael Dieter, but I'm like, hey,
how do you hold the ball?
Speaker 6 (33:35):
Like, you know, how do you stand like from ground zero?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Right? So like but even like high school you you
played guard.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
Yeah, guard, tackle, triple option, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (33:44):
So like small school, but just getting like you know,
posting a kick and like you know, fundamental stuff.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
So like it was a real like learning stretch my
whole first year.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
But it was it was really cool because you have
to be a sponge, you know, you really got to
be you know, I read you my first year. But like,
and it's so interesting how like, you know, played four
years in Dallas, came here and then the guy that
actually taught me how to play center, Like I'm playing
with him again, right.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
So like it's really cool, and but the vibes.
Speaker 7 (34:11):
It's just you know, it's a again, that was the
culture that I got brought into, Like it was to
become your best, best version of yourself at that respected
position that you're going for, so like for him to like,
you know, help me evolve and then you know, he
slid out of that spot into like guard, you know,
and that's where I came in, right. So like it's
(34:32):
very u that culture there. It's like truly like for
what's best for the team for sure.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
That's great, man, you know, just hearing some of those stories,
you never know, because I remember, I'll tell folks all
the time. One of my reasons of loving the a
position that I actually you know, grown to love over
the time, is because I was the defensive back first, right,
and I was able to be like man, I knew
what it was to play receivers.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
So playing receiver, I kind of get an edge.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Do you see yourself having that kind of you know,
I guess you could say, like Bud Poker, you know,
when you're just playing against guys similar to yourself or
guys on the other side just knowing that. Look, man,
I was over there before. I know what it takes
to sure you know, make sure I'm I'm I'm winning
in this this set or whatever it may be. But
we could talk about that all day. I want to
kind of dive into some of the stuff that's been
(35:19):
going on right now this season. You already talk about
being around for six years. Man, we don't have these
years before. You know, you don't been through the through
the mud of a long season that's probably haven't been
going your way for as a team as a whole,
What do you do as a as a center, being
the leader of that huddle to kind of just make
sure the guys all still have the same mindset man,
(35:40):
each and every week.
Speaker 7 (35:41):
Yeah, I mean there's a there's a variety of different
ways to do it, but just just leading by example
number one, but also too just like it's all about
like refocusing and you know, everyone having the same vision
and going out there and you know better in your
best and like there is always like you know, you know,
growing you know in this position, like it was always
(36:02):
like it was cool, like my assistant coach always told me,
like get one percent better, like wherever that is right
every day and it adds up, right, So I mean,
but just to go out there, you know, obviously, like
outcomes maybe not have been like what we wanted, but
like in regards of like continuing to face adversity and like,
and there has been progress, right, and I think we're
right there too. And but that's where it's like, isn't
(36:24):
that like the beauty of the game though, too? You
know what I'm saying, Like it's adverse obviously, you know
you want to have a better record than regards to that,
but like it's still not over right now, you know
what I'm saying, Like, and we still have a great
you know, opportunities coming up.
Speaker 6 (36:34):
We have six guaranteed for sure, and how can we
maximize that?
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Right?
Speaker 7 (36:38):
And but also like the love of the game hasn't changed.
Like we come out to practice and we're going for it.
So it's like that vibe and it's really exciting honestly,
Like and obviously like you want to just you know,
punch adversity in the face, right, And but that's the
beauty of the game.
Speaker 6 (36:52):
And you know, we're gonna be ready for this next
couple challenge.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
And you guys have been in a bright Spot all season. Man,
you guys have been playing well.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Brotherhood, man, I mean that like it resonates with you
and talking about Wisconsin. We have a brotherhood here in
Washington too, man. So just just expand a little further
on like what that would it feels like and what
DQ now calling defensive plays, being defensive play caller and
adversity and stuff. What's some of the things that shows
(37:19):
you that there's still brotherhood here.
Speaker 7 (37:21):
Yeah, I think just in regards of like who we
are and like how we present ourselves. I mean like
being in the moment and really like focusing on like
you know, where are we at in the day and
how we maximize that, right, whether it's in the meeting room,
getting the install on Wednesdays, right, and then you're going
to go to walk through and like being that like
that clear vision of like how it is and intentful
(37:42):
by it too because you know, you know how it is.
Where it's like, you know, all eleven have to be
on the same page, right, and like that takes a
lot of continuity, but that brings out everyone's personality at
the same time, where it's like you want to know
exactly how they see it, how you feel it right
in like different combinations on the old line, but also.
Speaker 6 (37:58):
Too on the defensive side, like right, you know, how
can we get the best look?
Speaker 7 (38:01):
But that takes you know, a lot of connection too,
and I think we have that where it's like like, hey,
we want to you know, work this you leftic practice
or whatever, and like you see that, And I think
that's where like when you do face adversity, like it
ramps up even more and it's almost like that like
we're blessing in a sense of like how can we
become better even through right, obviously the outcomes that we
(38:21):
may not want at the end of the game, but
in regards of like how can we still get better
and become the best versions of our team?
Speaker 6 (38:27):
You know?
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, I want to give you an opportunity to talk
about a great partnership that you did. Man. You you
had a chance to partner with Docs Dental and give
a military family a cool game day experience.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Yeah, how did that come about? And what was that
experience like for you?
Speaker 6 (38:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (38:43):
I've always been like really connected within the military of
like how can I serve and how can I get
back from college? We had like a badger just get
back program, but also just learning how much sacrists they
do for our country, and like that means the world
because it's like the freedom that we get to have,
the freedom of choice to to go in any career
we want to have in that in that sense, and
(39:04):
just to provide them, you know, the benefits that they
have that they might not be aware of, but also
to to give them an experience of like, you know,
the beauty of our game, right they they provided for us,
right so, and that and that means the world to me.
But like my market manager had a you know, we
got connected with Docs Dentil. We had a great like
(39:27):
vibe just in regards of like how we can serve
them and maybe a short period of time of the season,
but also in the future too in regards of like
how can we connect off the field at the same time.
So it was awesome for me because it's always like,
you know, you don't know where your past is going
to go in regards of your career. But like for
me to come from Dallas to Washington and to be
able to still connect right away and throughout two seasons
(39:51):
to the community, that that means the world to me
because it's like that's the part where it's like I
think you know, yes, the like the game for sure,
but also the community with it, within our fan base
and everything.
Speaker 6 (40:04):
It's it's awesome, oh man.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
And you know what else, You're awesome man. You appreciate
you joining us on the Players Club Tyler, as we do.
You've been on the here before. We'd like to have
all our guests autograph this football. We appreciate your game.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Why are you signing that ball? Ask you a quick questions.
Your favorite dish for Thanksgiving?
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Stopping with the stuffing craberry slight.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
That's awesome, man? Will that to do it for this
episode of The Players Club. We'll see you next week.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
At the same time, Players Club was filmed at Big
Beer AI Command Center Studio Big Bear AI Office, Mission
Ready AI for a rapidly involving world, proudly protecting the
