Speaker 1 (00:00):
Coming up, gonna get my podcast. But anybody see Geeks
one of the Raiders. No, also Fletch, you'll be on
the show.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I can't wait to get the mail. Camp be ten
and HiT's the Divorce Bawl and it lands.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Welcome inside the Big Bear AI studio. It is get loud,
that's smooth.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm Jenkes. How you doing, man? You know what? After win?
I'm always doing well and I think now you know.
As I went through my pregame show, jotted down a
couple of notes as I noticed that the fans were happy,
but not that happy. The question is Michael Jenkins? I
the fans getting a little spoiled, like, not only do
(00:42):
they want to win, they want to win now in
a certain manner.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
That's what happens when you start winning on a regular baasis.
You forget last year we made the transition from PTSD.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
To just win, just win, you enjoy you dub right?
All right? We won? I want to see more. Weren't
we supposed to beat Geno by one? That's all I
heard last night on the show. So that's why I
ask the question, has the ceiling roads to have the
floor road? I think it's the floor it's the floor, right,
(01:16):
the floor. It's what they accept now, Yeah, like they
want it to be a certain level of domination.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
This was a dominant window.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
But then the NFL show you yesterday, ain't no such
thing as domination? Is the greed. The Packers of Green
Bay went to play that the Browns of Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
We were talking about this on the show. I was
talking about this with Brandna. We've talked about it before.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Which is in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Man, ain't no guarantees. It's not like college.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
No, you don't say, hey, we should have won by
thirty five. Yeah, it's the NFL. The points spread on
this game was three.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
And a half.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
This is supposed to be a close game.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
This was a blowout. No, this is what I'm saying.
So it's no rhyme or reason to ain't no Ohio
State Buckeyes in the NFL. Right team, That just we
spent so much more money than you. We're just better
than you. Any giving Sunday, any team can be beat,
and we saw that. Did you not see what happened
with the Atlanta Falcons in the Carolina.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
By the Panthers?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
By the Panthers. Nobody saw that coming. They don't build
these casinos because we're right. They don't build them because
we just guessed. Chat TPD can't get you out of this.
I'm talking to my chat check who gonna win? Chat
defe t I'm asking who gonna win? Chat Chat looked
me right in the face, said the falcons. Chat old
(02:38):
me money. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.
By the way, Oh, I did read that a lady
did use Chat for her lottery numbers and she won?
Did she really she did?
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Know?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
She won one hundred and fifty thousand? Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, guys, if you want to tell us what the floor,
what the ceiling is, if your expectations have checked, let
us know seven o three seven two six seven four
nine seven o three seven two six seven four one nine,
leave it as a voicemail, send us an email Washington,
get loud at gmail dot com. Or maybe you just
want to suggest that you drop by to a tailgate.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
What you do every week? I do, I do, and
I will come by your tailgate. I'm trying to lose
weight right now because I felt like I packed on
a couple of pounds. It might be this good Chicago
eating I've been doing lately. You know, how you take
advantage of a place while you're there. And I had
started ranking cities on food. Okay, Louise there, I mean
(03:34):
New Orleans number one, man and cheap, and I was
gonna put New York at two. But I think Chicago
is too. I love Chicago. I fin say, just the diversity. Yeah,
Italian food sold food like it just it's it's steakhouse. Yeah.
Does Chicago had the best steakhouses in America?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
You can make that argument because it's one on every corner.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
They're everywhere, They're every like like last time I was there,
like table of steak I started to look at steakhouses
and it just was a line of them. I'm just saying,
And it was just steakhouses everywhere, and I was like,
this could be the steakhouse capital of America. Bench steakhouses.
I think out that I've lost like.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Six or seven pounds, not even trying. It's football season, man,
I just run everywhere and I just like wait, just
like dropping.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
No.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I gained weight during this time of year because I
turned into a potato couch right. And the thing is
the reason why my Saturday's are all college football and
then Sunday Sunday. But I literally get in at least
three miles of walking in the stadium per se. Oh,
I bet that's right. I do. I do get a
lot of walking in, So Sunday is not so much.
(04:45):
But Saturday, I'm pretty much a couch potato. Nothing but
college football.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Well, let's talk about the NFL. And that's the winning
drive presented by Nissan.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
At Nissan, we made cars that thrill. Experienced.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Thrill for yourself today.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Shop at Nissan USA dot com.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
All right, our jobs now, Yeah, to list a favorite
play offense and defense that we saw in the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Game on Sunday. There's a lot to choose from, all right.
The offense I started off neutral, not offense, not defense.
It was the play that I think decided the game.
As I take you back through display, oh I think
I know. Go ahead, I'm gonna say, don't know. I
bet I do. All right, check this out. As Marioda
slowly gets in the center, he looks to the right.
(05:28):
He starts to bark out signals. All right, he snaps
the ball? Is he he bags up on a five
step drop. He looks to the right. He looks to
the left. No one's open. Mariota takes off and starts
to run to the left. He takes off, he runs
to the left, he gets to the sideline, the guy
pushes him right into Coach Quinn. Yes, all right, I
(05:49):
see Coach Quinn tumbled over like a ninety year old man.
But when he arises and I see the blood and
I see this, I said, that's they're right there, Frank
a football team up. And guess what coach didn't do.
He didn't wipe it off. He knew what he was doing, terminator.
He let it sit there. He looked at the players,
they looked back at him. I knew he was gonna
(06:11):
win the game. That was the play that decided the game,
because it's nothing like seeing your general go to battle
with you. It's nothing like seeing him and me myself,
that would have been my chance as a player to say, coach,
get your butt back in the game, because guess what,
how many times he had told you that, get you
(06:32):
get your butt back in the game. So that played,
to me, was the play that really solidified the game. Now,
going to the offensive player of the game, you start
again with Mariota. All right, Marioda almost had a perfect game.
Beside that fumble, he was great. All Right. I've been
waiting for this guy to make a play for two years,
(06:53):
Luke McCaffrey. H Luke, I had been waiting on you
to make that one play. So he feels like he
belonged because there's a player. Until we make that play,
we don't feel we know we're here, but we don't
feel like we belong. I think that play is going
to open up the whole entire season for Luke McCaffrey
catching that deep ball, and I give Luke this. He's
(07:18):
the first person to Northwest jump.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
We were laughing yesterday.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
He was like crawling into the stands. Yeah, he was
ready for Northwest jumped. He ain't the last, but Luke
is the first to Northwest jump.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
So I give him that. Who's your offer? He earned
that moment. I'm gonna go a man, Well, this is
special teams.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
But Jalen Lane man, Yeah, I have to say taking
that and showing off the speed and the strength, you know,
brought a couple tackles and once he found that crease,
he was off. And we've talked about this rookie class
and special teams. We saw on Sunday. How many block kicks,
how many special teams?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Debo opened the game and said, this is our game.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
I just thought it was awesome, City youngster make a
player no, not technically offensive man, unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, all right, my defensive player of the game. This
guy since last year in the playoffs, he has had
a second six consecutive game. We gonna choose the same guy. Okay,
I'm gonna go Bobby. Durrance Armstrong has been chasing quarterbacks
(08:30):
at a high clip. He has since the playoffs of
last year, and nothing has stopped. He has carried over
to this year. How should I say? He's not the
one people prop up, but he's constantly there. He's that
brother that's not the loud one, not the quiet one,
but steady Yes Jackson, Yes, he's him. Yeah, he's the
(08:53):
one that you can lean on when you need him,
and you know he's always gonna be there. Durrance Armscrung
is only tear if he gets another one against the Falcons.
That might be the longest consecutive sex sex sex sex
sack game probably in like twenty years. It has to
be right. Yeah, for this franchise, I say, for this franchise.
(09:15):
It has to be somewhere up there. But like I say,
he's not getting the glitz of the glame. Nobody say
it's premier pass rushing right.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
And see even the grades and I'm not a hardcore
stats guy, but even he's grading out.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yeh. His PFLA is always good. So Daurrence Armstrong, it's
the man of the hour when it comes to defense.
If I want a quarterback on the ground, I sent
an umscrong got to him. Love that. I'm gonna go
Bobby Wager, how can you go wrong?
Speaker 3 (09:42):
I mean, the guy I just love on that one
sack where he just went right up, not a wasted step,
no wasted movement, right up the gut, took Geno down,
perfect tackle. It just hopped up like business as usual
for a gold Jack.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I think people forgot about the coach player thing with
him and Pete Carroll.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Like I think people forgot I forgot about that. That's
a great call.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah, Like it was so many connections with these teams
when and yeah, it's just so many things that I
think we forgot about. Bobby saying I want to make
my ex coach Philly remember me because I ain't got
to play against you a lot. I got to play
with you a lot. But it's nothing like looking after
(10:25):
you make a play in the opposite sideline and you're
looking at people that used to coach you. Yep, people
that say maybe it was over. You know what I'm saying,
getting a little old, long in the tooth. No, I'm
not say the tooth Tigers had long two tooth and
guess what, they lived a long time.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
What did Pete Carroll said before the game.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
He was talking about DQ, and he said, if I
like someone, I like to beat him.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
And the more I like him, the more I like
beat him. Yes, he tried to harbor my guy. He
tried to harbor my guy. We was going we was
not going for it, all right. The students beat the teacher.
I never thought i'd see karate Kid beat up mister Miagi.
First of all, I thought mister Miyaga was too old.
But the karate Kid beat up mister Meyo.
Speaker 7 (11:07):
Like that.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Listen Your hot ticket presented by Seek the most Disruptive
Idea and Ticketing.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Ay take it that works, Expect the expected.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
See Geek, the official primary ticketing partner of your Washington Commanders.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
So, man, where do we start? How about Marcus Mariota? Listen,
God sense he go to question. Okay, because it's a
couple of quarterbacks that start that. I think he's better
than AKA Joe Flecco. Okay, a couple of guys. I
think Mariota could be like the thirtieth best quarterback in
the league. I agree, I think he's the number one backup.
(11:38):
Do you think it's any backup that's better than him?
Because most people would have said Jake Browning, but then
he went out there and dropped their turn right, So
what backup do you think it's on the level? I
don't know if.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
There is one.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
And you know what I think, too, is that we've
seen a shift and maybe a little bit how the
league used quarterbacks because.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Look at Sam Darnold, look at Geno's.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
These are guys who are now later in their careers
that are getting a second act, but.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
They getting time to troubleshoot like this, Michael Wade. Society
is not giving these guys time to learn like. The
one disappointment I got in the league is this, why
would you draft Anthony Richardson, a guy that only played
one year of college football? If you were't gonna let
him play. They drafted just an athlete, and Daniel Jones
is another one. Trey is another one. Yeah, that drake.
(12:27):
They drafted his kid, knowing he hadn't played football in
a year. All right, But then you get to the
league and give him six games to show you he
the truth, and then when he shows you I'm not ready,
then you throw them away. I'm predicting this right now.
Timestamp this Monday, all right, time stamp it. Anthony Richardson. Okay,
we'll be traded to the LA Rams. Yeah, he will
(12:53):
be backing up Stafford until he started.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Oh you think so, I'm telling you, I don't think
he has it.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I know McVeigh. Okay, when other people see garbage, McVeigh
see salvage.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Do you think Richardson truly is a quarterback? Because I
see a great athlete, but I don't see a great quarterback.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
I see a quarterback that don't know how to be
a quarterback. I see a quarterback that needs a quarterback whisperer.
I see a quarterback who needs the analytic part, the
mental part, not the physical. He could push the ball,
he could drive the ball. He can make every throw
he can run, but what he can't do is count
the box. What he can't do is anticipate passes. What
he can't do is throw somebody open in bring in
(13:34):
one surgeon McVeigh. All right, I'm telling you right now
mark my word. Number five for the coach will be
number five for the yelling and the blue.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
And you know what I think about Anthony Richardson.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
And this is an old quot attributed to Mike Leach,
the Great Mike Leach, and it's kind of stuck with
me where he said, the one thing you can't teach
a quarterback to do is be accurate. Yeah, you can
teach fundamentals, you can teach mechanics, but if he's not,
if he's not inherently accurate, you can't teach you that.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Anthony Richardson has never really been accurate? Can you learn that?
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Because he hasn't had enough throws? Okay? What did I
tell you? He needs to play quarterbacks, He needs to rip.
He needs somebody that said fail a hell, I'm riding
with you. Okay, that's what he needs right now. The
coach don't feel like that because I told you I
hate regular names. So they renamed him which is a
great name. I'm just saying good. But Daniel Jones one
(14:30):
gonna work. You know what. I got so much flat
for that because I was like his name too regular.
That's when you got to give him a nickname. That's
when it happens. And the nickname happened organically. I didn't know.
It wasn't just like Richard throw them. It happened organically.
And now that he has the nickname, he's unstoppable. He
spent awesome. Nobody had the coach three and oh right now, no,
(14:54):
some of about getting away from the Giants, Yeah, you
start to win.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I mean, look at look at Saku, look at Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
I mean you get out of a bad situation, a
bad offense, and a bad organization right now, and amazing.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
What can happen to the Funny thing about it is
since the Giants in the Jets moved to met Life,
both of them are under five hundred. I think the
Jets are like ninety. It has to be true. Yeah,
like they stinked there, both of them. So I'm hoping
that it's it's cursed. I mean it might be. It
was cursed a long time.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
What else did you like yesterday.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
I mean, Deebo was great.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Bill got in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
I've been saying so much to like the running game
is a hole. I had this flame last night on
the radio. I know, y'all look at us as this
high flying running gun Houston Oilers. We are a running team.
We are more akin to Nebraska nineteen ninety seven.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh okay, we're more Tommy Fraser.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yes, we're more accustomed to Georgia Tech. Maybe we are
a running team. Look back last year to this year
when we rush for close to two hundred yards we're undefeated. Yeah,
but we don't have this one entity like Derrick Henry.
I say, Kwan Barkley that's doing it. It's usually four
guys quarterback McNichols, wide receiver, Deebo Samuels, Bill like who
(16:21):
like we have so many people touching the ball. We
are a runting entity like this. This team is based
off ball, ball control and just driving it down your throat.
By the way, I want to get some love to
Chris Paul.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
I was gonna say the old line because we saw
Andrew Wiley start Chris Paul start.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
So they switched things up and Chris Paul was a
bouncer yesterday he tossed by four people out the club
for not paying for their section. Right, that's all I'm
telling you. They say they want to sit there and
Chris Paul say, you ain't paid no money to get
in here. Chris Paul played well yesterday. So sometime the
unsung heroes ain't the stack guy. That's right, it's the
guys behind the stack guys. And it was the divide
(17:04):
Swaine yesterday. They showed up the place of football.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I just love these guys like Chris Rodriguez, Chairman McNicholas
who've been there around the organization for a while, just
putting in the work, putting in the work, putting in
the work, waiting for a time, and then they deliver
in a big moment. So you can have a running
back by committee when you have different types running, different
skill sets in thee.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
And that's what I'm saying. And then you throw in
a wire re seat with it runs like a running
back and you throw in this so before you know it,
you got thirty five carries and nobody on the team
has over eight. Yeah, so that's the difference. This is
gonna make it very hard to stop this team. It's layered,
and the more and more I study, it's like, all right,
we're really a run run, big play team, Run run,
(17:47):
big play. And I was actually like really pulling for
Terry to get in because we did an interview with
Terry on the Players Club and we actually what he'd
been working on is off season. He was like, after
I catched the ball, I want to run with my
knees a little higher so guys don't catch me from
the back and trip me. In his first long pass
(18:08):
this year, he gets caught from the back and I
can see him on the way on the ground to
going to the ground, shaking his head, like shaking his legs.
Not again, like I just I prepared for this. So
so he twisted.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
If you look at the replay, his knee did not
hit the ground.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
I thought he laying it on the helmet of the gadget.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
And then it turned and he turned and his.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I thought he got in. I thought he got into,
But you're right, you could like I was surprised him
comfortable hot, Yeah, yeah. So it was fun to because
we had just talked about that two weeks ago and
for that play to happen, and I'm sure he was
happy to think I'm almost in end zon and that
got to hurt a receiver like I have tap of
mant of receivers at two one yard from a receiver,
(18:52):
that's got to be like I would have nightmares about
that one yard, Like that one yard that stops me
from getting into the ends out.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Imagine who was the.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Guy because I don't have the best memory, but wasn't
it Kevin Dyson from the Titans against the Rams in
the Super Bowl one short like he extends and you
know has to wake up anemar.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
I needed Kevin Dyson to get that one yard so
London Fletcher could not have a ring. Like do you
know that one yard hunts London? Yeah? Like yes, Like
I'm like, why one yard dice? Because you know, I'm
a big McNair guy mcnaire from Mississippi. I went to
(19:37):
his dream camp when I was when I was in
high school, and that what showed me that I could
play with pros. Going to his dream camp and Jimmy
Smith was there and all these guys was there, and
it was like crazy for me. So then when I
got a chance to play against mcnaire, I was just
blown away about it and I picked him off twice.
Rest of peace. But at the end of the day,
(19:57):
I was just, like I say, flabbergasted by just being
around the talent.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
I will say, I want to give credits to the defense.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
That defensive line, Yeah, I mean harassing, yes Geno all
day long. It was what four different guys with sacks
five sacks, sorry, four players five sacks because I believe
Bobby had two two man They just they were all over.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
And they left four sacks on the field. They left
force Pain had him a couple of times. Uh uh,
could have had two sacks like So it's they left
a lot of plays on the field. So as I
looked at this game, I said, defense, I think they
played well. Yeah, besides the long passes they gave up
and on offense, we left plays on the field also,
(20:43):
drop balls, all kinds of stuff. So as good as
we played, it's still room for improvement right there. And
I think that's the best coaching tape you can have
as a coach.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
We won, right, but but there's things on film.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
We need to clean it up. Yeah, we need to
clean it up, especially before we played this ourcons teaming
and Divorce Bowl. I need them to really, really clean
it up. Well, I'm glad you mentioned London.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
We can ask him about that Super Bowl because we
got him coming up here on the showf.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
As you can see our guy, big fletch the I mean,
the guy should be a Hall of Famer. No, he's
gonna be. Were gonna get man, I want to be one.
Speaker 7 (21:18):
Now.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, they gonna wait till you ninety. They're gonna put
you in there.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Walk. Let me give me my flowers.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Now, might as well let me.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
We gotta point this out because you probably missed this
before your ride. But Smooth said, we were talking about
waking up like if you're a yard short or something,
if you're a.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Receiver like Terry with Man that was a touchdown because
we had Terry on the players Club. What did he
talk about. I've been working on give me theseum so
I won't get caught from behind. So that's the first
thing that hit my mind when I seen their play,
And did Jinx brought up another play super Bowl Rams
versus Titans, camm and dicing, and I said, I wish
(21:58):
Dison would a guy in there, so you ain't have
a ring haunts me, haunts you.
Speaker 8 (22:04):
It wasn't that close. They went to overtime. They're gonna go.
They were not gonna win that game.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
A lot of Steve McNew was trying his damnness.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
They still wasn't gonna that game.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah. Was that one of the most physical offenses you
played between with him? Eddie Joe? Yeah, I forgot who
the big tight end was.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
That Check White Check.
Speaker 8 (22:23):
They had big, I mean, massive offensive lineman, Bruce Matthews. Yeah,
I think Chick was much was that they had.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
They had some huge offensive line. Just a big team.
Speaker 8 (22:35):
Yeah, on both sides of the ball, offensive, offensive line,
defensive line.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
They were a big, physical team.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
But as I remember that team, as good as they
were on offense, they weren't like the most explosive. They
was just more bet on you right.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
They were gonna pound it. They were gonna pound the
heck out.
Speaker 8 (22:50):
He run the ball between Eddie and uh Steve and
then wat Check Whychick might have been that leading receiver.
He would work the middle of the field and then
they get some plays to feel with uh maybe Kevin Doddyson.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Yeah, stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (23:03):
But defensively, I want to say they were the number
one defensive.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Because they had curs and rest got Greg Willion was coordinator.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Taking me back many Yeah, like so they had some
dudes on that team.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Man, but they came up sure, I'm talking about this
right here.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
It wasn't listen. I was at home, like let them
get yet. I was like, if it's a dude out
there from jail, Carroll, let you get that ring. Uh.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
So, what did you see from the Commander's defense on Sunday,
because particularly upfront, they were just harassing Geno and all
over Ashton gent Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
No, I thought.
Speaker 8 (23:51):
I thought the defensive line really set the tone of
the game. And we talk about this all the time
about the big boys, the fat boys. The dudes just
smell like bacon the trenches. They really set the tone
of your football team. They dictated the terms of the
agreement yesterday, especially at the defensive line, like there was
no compromise, there was no peace treaties. I mean, they
were outstanding. I thought there were several guys that just played.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
Doing show.
Speaker 8 (24:17):
Deron Payn was a man. Bobby Wagner was all over
the field. I thought of Baptist. I mean all those guys,
all them guys had moments along that defensive front and
just it showed the Raiders never were able to really
get anything established running the football. I thought defensive the
defensive backs did a nice job of covering, especially when
(24:40):
Gina was like getting out.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
We played a lot more zone.
Speaker 8 (24:44):
Yesterday than we had been in the past, so it
relies you have to cover a lot longer if the
defensive line isn't getting that that uh to the quarterback
right away and then he's able to get outside of
the pocket. So I thought that they did a nice
job lasting.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
And I also feel like we left a couple of
sex on the field.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
I thought.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
I thought we left a couple of sex on the field,
So I thought the defensive performance could have been even more.
When I watched Ashton Gent, I was watching him a
week before. When I when I hear top ten pick
is a running back, I'm looking for a defining track. Yeah,
I didn't feel like he had a defining track. That
he might be tough, he might can run over people,
but I don't think that's enough to be a b
(25:24):
John Robinson. I say, Kwun Barkley, Is he Kenny be
a good back?
Speaker 4 (25:28):
I do.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I don't know if I saw special yesterday.
Speaker 8 (25:31):
Well, I think it's hard to really judge him because
of line, right, and you also with a guy like him,
you want to get him on them edges as much
as possible, running the outside zones. Yeah, type plays. You
want to get him a defensive backs, yes, exactly. When
he gets the defense back, that's where you really see
him running them over and things like that.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
But it was hard sled man. There was nowhere for
him to go.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:55):
Sometimes, and Logan pointed this out shoot sometimes he was
doing a great job just to get back.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
So I wanted to ask you about d Q getting
hit and we were just I mean, as they play.
When you see something like that and your coaches rises
up and he's got the blood.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
It's got to just jack you up one of us.
Speaker 8 (26:14):
Oh yeah, absolutely, And I told Q you should have
left the blood on your face the.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Rest of the game. Yeah, leave it there the rest
of the game.
Speaker 8 (26:24):
You said, don't make it finished.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Du dude.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
The press conference like that with the blood still out there,
the dry blood.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
But y'all interview I heard, I heard it. Yeah, we
kill all you.
Speaker 8 (26:37):
We can't repeat what he said, but uh, he basically
said like a ride with that.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I also heard say he know you were that shot, but.
Speaker 8 (26:48):
He was basically there was a basically a compliment like
damn you five ten five niners, you out there busting
folks up. It was it was actually respect, like I
thought you were tall man because he looked at me.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
He thought I was a giant when I'm on.
Speaker 8 (27:03):
That football field, the way I played and had giant
I had giant characteristic.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
He was like, I didn't know he was tallst Daddy
de Vito, like he was like fletch and now you're
dropping from ceilings. And Jimmy Johoneson like I love his personality.
It's my type of defensive line, like nasty when I
(27:31):
need to be nasty. And just you could tell for
the first time in his career he's enjoying playing football.
Speaker 8 (27:37):
Oh yeah, he probably played. He probably plays with a
dip in his mouth, probably.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
The field right now. And I like to see a
d linean like I want that.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Yeah, I like this a matter of fact, I have
loved that juice. That that juice.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
How about when we get it all.
Speaker 8 (27:58):
Sticking with So I'm playing with the Bills, me and Tekillo.
That's my dog Spike. So I used to always I
would always spit on the on the field like just
so one time, I guess spit hagging from my chip strap,
I mean my face mask, so it's hanging from my
face mass down to my jersey.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
So to kill like man, get that.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
So me being me, I don't want to let be corrected.
I said, what you want a pretty.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Much this guy, you wan't to have this nastiness about that.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
But you know what I love about that because like
talking to you here, like you're obviously very gregarious. You're
on the show, you know, broadcasting the games, but then
obviously when it was game time, you turned it on.
Like Jawon Kenlo has a personality. That's a fun loving guy.
He's got personality. So how do you do that? Like
it's fascinating to me. You meet somewhere like, well, you're
a pro football player, but once it's game time, it's on.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
You have to We were.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
Little throw as football players, you kind of have to be,
especially to play it on this level and play it
at a high level. Exactly, you have to have a
certain type of mentality, like walking around in everyday society,
I can't just walk around just pushing over and hitting
people with but it's it's a certain way that the
(29:33):
game has to be played, and I think what also
happens is and for me and I don't know how
other people, the build up. You've had so much time
each day from a week of practice Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
You've had so much build up to the anticipation of
finally it finally gets there and it erupts exactly. So
(29:53):
it's all that stuff that coming out comes, especially if
you feel like maybe you've been respect underlooked, overlooked in
that game, Like we're the underdog. They talking up that
offensive supposed to our defense. They talking off this running
back as opposed to me. Like okay, all right, all right,
and I'm just letting it bubble in the simmer and simmer.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
This is when I knew this one. I always knew
Flinch was ready. I don't know what he used to
do in here. We would go out, we'll warm up, okay,
and he would go to the bathroom. I don't know
if he dropped the Browns off at the Super Bowl.
Speaker 8 (30:32):
Yeah, the kids had to go fool, but he would
come back in his eyes and be just red all
the time.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
I'm like, what is this dude doing? I missing something.
I would go in the bathroom, like, and his eyes
would just be bloodshot read and I'm like, he ready, Yeah,
he's ready.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
It's just it's just and I would always throw up, throw.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Up, and I think it from throwing up, your eyes
used to turn red.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Yeah, because I would anticipation.
Speaker 8 (31:01):
You're anxious to get the game going, because again you've
been waiting on this game for five or six days
and you've heard so much just chatter. And I was like,
can you just like all right, I don't want to
do no press bullet to bar material more respect the
coaches and all.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
That, but I can't wait to get my hands on
these dudes.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
Man.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Yeah, I'm ready to play. Yes, yes, I love that.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
So we got Falcons coming up on Sunday, and this
is an interesting team there.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Hey, but ain't gonna lie. Since divorce, we've been winning
every game. So you know what it is, what it is.
I enjoy it. But I love sending that text before
the game. I know you're there. We got a surprise
for you, but in all good grace with me and
her have fun with it and I enjoy it. But
(31:54):
it's always a litle bit more for me in this game, and.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
We gotta get you some more brad, right, what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
More bragging rights, But do you want to see a
wounded dog after what just happened to them?
Speaker 8 (32:05):
Man, I was surprised that that the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Let the Panthers do them.
Speaker 8 (32:11):
Not not that they lost the game, because division games,
anything can happen. Yeah, but the fact you see the
finals score thirty of the zero, especially given the way
I thought the Falcons played against the Vikings.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Yeah, yeah, that was Sunday night footballball.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
And they were all saying, and sometimes that can be difficult.
Speaker 8 (32:27):
Hey, you you have a roll game, then you got
you got two roll games in back to back, and
coming off the high of that that win in Minnesota
in a tough environment.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
But to go and just.
Speaker 8 (32:37):
Lay an egg like that with all those weapons and
all those weapons, when I am so confused.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
I would think out of three blue chips, you would
learn how to dominate with one of them. And I
think bj would be the easiest one to dominate because
he could do it through through the era on the ground,
Like however you want to get it done, he can
do it. To me, they haven't. They haven't got the
best out of none of those guys, not Drake London,
not Kyle Pitts and all these dudes is freaky. And
(33:06):
that says a lot in the league because I believe
every dude, if you make the league, you're freaky. But
they got some more percenters. They got some dudes over
there there six five running the four to four. You
don't see that.
Speaker 8 (33:18):
Yeah, yeah, but no, it's I would definitely have been
rather play the Falcons coming off of.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
A victory, victory or coach loss.
Speaker 8 (33:27):
And I mean they're gonna be ready to play, regardless
that the dome is gonna be jumping. We should we
We typically have a lot of our fans, our fairs
out number him, and that's mostly in Atlanta with every
team because it's such a trinsic scene exactly. So it'll
be a great environment. I'm sure their offense they'll be
hearing it all week leading up. So I was just
(33:48):
talking about how you just hear all this nonsense throughout
the week, So they'll be ready to be ready to
play Sunday and DQ, he'll have our guys ready to play.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Yeah, And it's it's a little DQ in this game too,
going back there.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
The head coach, first time going back there.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Yeah, the coach.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Oh, I did not realise he had not been back here.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
As a head coach going back, so they go there
underlab players. We got a little bit more to play
for him. And then I can say this, the one
Achilles here of the facts has always been past rushed.
They got some young rookies James Pierce Jr. And these
guys can get after the pass rush. So if I
can say anything, their defense is playing a lot better
(34:27):
than that.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Yeah, absolutely, and only get better the season goes on
because there's a bunch of young bucks again, kind of
like Michael Pennix junior on offense.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Yeah, he's a rookie. Still, he's still.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Played less than seventeen games. Remember he didn't start last
year until what the final.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Five four games?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah, so he's still learned along the way. When you
look at him, what do you see?
Speaker 4 (34:45):
I said, a guy with a tremendous arm talent. He
can throw that.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Every throw he can make, he can.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Make all the throws.
Speaker 8 (34:52):
Yesterday was a rough day for him, but he's still
growing as a quarterback. You guys mentioned he hasn't had
a lot of NFL starts under his belt and he's
probably still still seeing new defense is certain with a
certain degree, especially you get a division opponent. They've seen you,
you know, a couple of times, and now they gonna
throw a couple of wrinkles that you may not have
(35:14):
seen and just a learning curve for him. But I
think he has tremendous talent.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
If I'm coach with I don't play a lot of
man against him. I don't because they got players that
they can sell it individually beating you. I want to
moddy it up with with with Pinnix. I want him
every time he had to buy, I want him to
look at something different, and I don't care what it is.
I believe if I show him enough zone bliss is
enough this, he'll start to throw me the ball. But
(35:42):
if you get Drake London out there one on one
and just say play basketball, they can do that.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
You don't want necessarily athlete on athlete because that's the
one area they can excel.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
They can excel in it.
Speaker 8 (35:54):
I it's gonna have to be He'll have a great,
great game plan to devise for this game. Don'ta have
to be chess pieces where it looks like it's a
pressure like the yesterday when Bobby got got a couple
of sacks and the pressures those are just four man.
Uh yeah, but he's standing in the pressure, so he's
(36:17):
coming and you're dropping the defensive ends. It's his own cover,
so it's it'll be it'll be a great game of
cat and mossy chest as we like to say.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
Yess that guy Lendon Fletch, and he learned on Sunday
what we've known for wanaw, which is cut Water's no joke.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Great talking to London and guys, let's talk about Seageek

Speaker 3 (36:40):

on in the show.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Before that, falcons the atl Their offense has scored one
touchdown in two games. Congratulations, congratulations, good job, Yeah, good effort.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Michael Pennix Junior bitched for a little bit, and the
game's a panas he's gonna start.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I think they flushed the Kamo for that game. Yeah,
that's what we call it. Take the quarterback out, flush
the Komo. We played like boo boo, all right, you
got to understand that, all right, that's what we do
play it. So for anybody to think that Kirk Cousin
is gonna start, no he's not. They're gonna keep him
healthy and pretty much trade when you.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Kind of like to see that though, just for fun.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Well, I in a perfect world, in a perfect storyline,
a movie storyline, right, you will start the X starter
against his team.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
I know they want Pennis to be the guy, but
part of me wants to see Kirk up against his
old team.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
If you're a head coach and you're like, we just
need to win any form, any fashion, do you think
about starring Kirk against his old team because you know
it's an underlying revenge factor.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Yeah, you don't. I wonder about Kirk is when he
got pulled last year. He was really banged up. Remember
that was a whole controversy where he said I was
injured and the team was like, no, you're not, and
then they kind of went back and forth and first of.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
All, mix up. I never judge a player the year
after Achilles. I judge a player two years out the Achilles.
So this is really the healthiest Kirk has been. I
understand what Kirk is saying. You put me out there limping.
I limped into the year and you limp me out. Well,
you really stole my job on draft day, right like this,
when you stole my job, and now you knew I
(39:48):
was limping into this season and you didn't really give
me a chance, and now he's actually Pennis is going
through his roocky scruggles.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
I mean, honestly, it would be better for the Commanders
if Pinnick starts, because when you think at this point,
if Kirk is healthy, he would be a better quarterback
than Michael Penicks.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
At this point. If I'm a d lineman, I would
rather for Kirk. I know what he's gonna be at. Okay,
all right, So if I if I'm drawing up a
game player, we attacking right, where the quarterback gonna be
the a gap. He's not gonna he's not running right,
He's not gonna make any first downs with his legs.
He's not gonna be a very elusive in the pocket.
If I ever get them behind in the chains, meaning
(40:25):
second and fifteen. He's right, He's gonna have to throw
his way out of it. He cannot scramble his way
out of it. I personally would rather play Kirk, especially
as a dB, also because Kurk gonna give me a
chance to get this ball. Now, if I'm looking big pitcher, Okay,
I want the quarterback that's in a slump, and that's
(40:45):
Michael Pennix. Yeah. Now the thing around.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
I think that's what I'm saying is that, Yeah, Kirk
is more stationary for sure, but also Penix right.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Now is in a rut.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
He's in a rut.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
How do you stop Guys?
Speaker 3 (40:57):
These individual talents like a Drake Lennon or B John Robinson.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
The good part about it, these individual talents are not
playing as a group. They are playing very individualized. Yes,
they are not.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
Being woven into the offense.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yes, Yeah, Like I don't understand how the Falcons that's
still not figured out how to use B John Robinson, Like, just.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Just get him touches, get him in space.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Not only have you not learned how to use b
Joel Robinson, you just you found no way to get
cal Pitts involved. Drake London, one of the bigger wide
receivers in the league, big catch radies.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
I feel like they've wasted this incredible amount of skill set,
like because these guys have played there for a whew.
I know B Jean is still fairly on his career,
but I mean, these guys have been around for a
while in Atlanta and they just kind of sit there
in their talented and they never really.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Do a whole I'm gonna tell you what they are.
They are these fantasy football myths and legends. They look
so good on your draft board. They give you nothing.
It's not because of them. I gotta go to the
office coordinate because I could see if two of them
was balding and one wasn't. None of them are right right.
(42:09):
They haven't figured out how to really use none of them.
And I could just wonder, with some of these offensive
good rules, what would Drake no, not Drake, what would
Kyle Pitts be in Kansas City's offense?
Speaker 3 (42:24):
I took a qu although I wonder maybe you've heard
this too. It is that he doesn't particularly love the game.
He's just great at He's great at naturally because he
has so many physical gifts, but he doesn't necessarily love
the game.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
How about sometime the place that you're playing it makes
you not love it? Very fair? Maybe it's let me
tell you something about Atlanta. I'm talking about the Falcon's talk.
There we go. I checked this out for Atlanta to
be this super sports city, college football, everything. They don't
have a sports historic feel. They don't have the history
(43:00):
of the Washington Commanders. They don't have the feel of
the Dallas Cowboys. They say football. They don't have the
fan base of the Philadelphia Eagle. They don't have any
of that. Like the ex players don't come back to Atlanta.
They don't have They're not a sports city, but they
are sports city. So it's so crazy that they are
(43:21):
sports city that doesn't have the deep fan history and backing.
They are a city of fun. You and your twenties,
they are fun.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
I was just about to ask you, like, if you
have the NBA All Star Game happened in Atlanta. They're like, hey, best,
it's gonna be one big parties. Like how distracting is
Atlanta as a professional athlete.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
That's what I'm saying. But if you're a professional athlete there,
nobody cares about the Atlanta Hawks, right The only sports
franchise in that city that people give a damn about
is the Atlanta Breaks, right, and you can feel it
how much they care about the break and a history.
Yet they got a history, like, but no Falcons, they
(44:04):
gonna care about no Falcons. They don't care about no Hawks.
If you a bird in Atlanta, you might as well leave.
Nobody cares about anything in Atlanta. And it shocked me.
It took me to live there and to talk to
the Roddy White set the world and I'd be like, man,
you know we have alumni weekend. They're like, man, we
don't do nothing.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
And I will say this about the Falcons defense is
that you know, one game never tells the complete story, right,
so right now only three games. This is number two.
We're talking about the Falcons in total defense. So they're
gonna provide some challenges. They're young, but they do have
a lot of talent.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
They they got a youth movement over there when it
comes to defense. And I'm talking edge Russia that's always
been there. Achilles. Here is James Pierce. Resh of these guys,
they get out to the past and they loan, They athletic,
they fast, They got some guys over there. The question
is how much have they been challenged offensively, because if
you look at their Panthers game, they kind of got
away from them, all right, all right, So I'm sure
(44:57):
our office coordinators they're gonna look at their fiend and
see how we can. Sometime when you're young like that,
you could be a little over zealous. Can I use
at a gust? Then withdraws, screens and stuff like that.
So it's gonna be ways to mentally beat these guys well.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
As we do each and every week.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
We take your voicemails, we listen to your voice mails,
we take your emails as well, and that means we.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
Bring in Anna. All right, y'all release a new Buffalo
this week, and we.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Did Ralphie seven.
Speaker 9 (45:24):
I think we talked about it earlier. Ralphie six, she
was indifferent to running. But also, unbeknownst to me, it
was from Nebraska, our arrival. Shout out BC, who's also
a Nebraska alum. Yeah he's my rival. But yeah, the original,
like the past Ralphie was from Nebraska, so we're not
really a fan of her. This new Ralphie's from Colorado
(45:44):
and she likes to run, so so.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
You're telling me, y'all hate it on the buffalo because
the buffalo was born in Nebraska.
Speaker 9 (45:51):
No, we didn't like her because she didn't like to run,
and like you, she's supposed to intimidate. And also and
also she's from Nebraska, had a lot of sense, like
you know, so that's why she.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Was a lazy buffalo.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
I was going to say, I'll just say, this buffalo
is not one of us.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Like somebody had to do an investigation that y'all know
she's from Nebraska and take the whole school again.
Speaker 9 (46:14):
Like I do admit I to aim indifferent to running,
but like, but like that was her whole job.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Also, your job is to run, and she was so tiny.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
Job was to let's be Yeah, I'm back in Nebraska job.
That's terrible, man.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
But yeah, that's that's just a little backstory.
Speaker 9 (46:33):
Okay, So first couple of things, I just want to say.
If you guys are calling the voicemail not getting a
voicemail message, we're currently dealing with some technical difficulties that
should be fixed soon. So I'm gonna play these voicemails
through this new system, so just bear with us while
we do that. Here's the first one is from Traveling
Jay and yeah, if it'll.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Work, oh.
Speaker 10 (47:00):
Jinks and Cale, it's your boy, Traveling Jay touching in
again this week. As I was talking about at the
beginning of the week, Terry, move him around.
Speaker 7 (47:13):
I know they're putting him on the left side, they're
putting him on the right side.
Speaker 11 (47:16):
But I see very little pre snap movement.
Speaker 7 (47:20):
He's just stoic, just standing there and running his routes.
Other than that one catch, I don't see anything he's
doing other than maybe a.
Speaker 10 (47:28):
Couple of crossing routes and maybe.
Speaker 11 (47:30):
A lot of curls.
Speaker 7 (47:32):
So smooth, help me out on that. Why are they
not moving him around? Why do you think that is?
Speaker 11 (47:39):
Is it because he's in the position or are they putting
him in that position for a reason? Are they Are
they honing it in on Debo?
Speaker 7 (47:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 11 (47:50):
Yeah, if he can help me out with that, I
appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (47:53):
Also, Louvu, A lot of people have talked about him
in his decline or maybe you know, has it reached
his potential this year? And maybe that's true, but I
don't think that the defensive guys are putting him in
the position that they were last year for him to
succeed like he did last year.
Speaker 12 (48:09):
I see him.
Speaker 11 (48:09):
Standing up on the inside on the on the line lot.
Speaker 7 (48:13):
I see a lot of that formation where they're standing up.
A lot of the linebackers are on the line, but
he's on the inside of the defensive end and on
the outside. So I don't know. That probably makes a difference.
Speaker 11 (48:23):
Uh, but again that's why they get paid to big bucks.
Speaker 7 (48:26):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (48:26):
Let me know what you think about that. And uh,
I'm sure we lose do a great usit.
Speaker 4 (48:31):
Well.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
First of all, Tiry is an X receiver. Uh. D
Bo is the move guy. Right like this, He's been
a move guy in every offense he's been in, right
because he's an alert guy. Also, so is a defense.
If Number one starts to move Deebo Samuels, now we
think something is up. Now you can go to Tierry.
(48:53):
You gotta realize they run Deebo across the formation. Sometimes
they run him into the backfield. You wouldn't put Tierry
in that position. Your move receiver is Debo he.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
Because Terry's not a threat to carry the ball.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Out of yes and and and so therefore we have
somebody that has feeled that move situation. And that's between
Debo and Jalen Lane. They are those guys to make
that happen. Terry is most definitely gonna be on the
line of scrimmage, and he's gonna have to win on
the line of scrimmage. I see nothing wrong with that.
They have been moving him left some time, right. Sometimes
(49:27):
people understand this. We're winning ball games and we just
can't win and get Terry two hundred yards a game
every game like they're just not going to happen. Now
we're getting snooty fan base because not only at first,
we just wanted to win, win, baby, win. Now it
is I want to win on my terms. I want
(49:47):
to win the way I want to win. I want
to win, and I want Terry to have two thousand yards.
How about we just win and let the other stuff
figure itself out. Because Terry is not a deva. He's
not worried about that, right, So let's just let that go.
F Frankie Louvu is actually a better AB and C
blitzer than he is on the outside. He rushes through
(50:08):
those A and B gaps better than a lot of guys.
They look at it and say, I just think we
needed more from him because we had less talent on
the defense last year. I think we got more talent
on the defense this year, so it's a less demanding
on him.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
And I've also heard too, and you can probably speak
to this. Is it because he was so good last year?
He seeing a lot more attention. Yeah, he did in
the previous season. He's getting a lot more junk thrown
his way to try.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
And let's fign number four. Let's fire number four to
get him out of this run lane. Let's fire number
one for and make sure he's not past rushing through
the B gap. Let's fire number four. You're right, the
more attention, the less production. And I think the more
talent the lex production because now the production is shared.
So I think that's what's going on with Louvu. That's
what's going on with Terry and de bo is the
(50:55):
move guy, right.
Speaker 9 (50:56):
Thanks Traveling J for your call. He did call back
after you call him out for not calling in the
previous week. He said, he said he didn't want to overcall.
It costs too much, So we appreciate you, Traveling Jay,
and he said maybe we just need to work a
segment and.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
For him, Yeah, the Traveling J.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Yeah, we'll figure something out.
Speaker 9 (51:14):
Okay, we'll do one more voicemail and then or I
have two quick voicemails and then yeah, okay, oh sorry,
that's me gen Z.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
That's finest y'all treat buffalo.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Oh gosh, what's going on?
Speaker 12 (51:33):
Part of people getting loud podcasts is your boy comedian
Booget out of Richmond, Virginia smooth. Does your boy to
be making all the shirts for you?
Speaker 3 (51:42):
Yes?
Speaker 12 (51:43):
I got you part in the producing room. So first
and foremost, get that I was a woemail.
Speaker 7 (51:47):
I just left.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
I had a brain fart.
Speaker 12 (51:49):
I got what I was talking about.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Now, the question.
Speaker 11 (51:52):
Is two questions.
Speaker 12 (51:54):
One, do the players and coaches get to listen to
your podcast? Not just this show, but the shows that
you guys make. I think all of them are great, insightful, funny,
but you know some of the players might get something
from it based on what you guys are telling them.
And number two, I know that we only have Matt
(52:16):
Gay and he's only kicker in camp. We had no
competition everything. Do you guys think that we're gonna get
some competition for the kicker? Because it's getting ridiculous. We
need somebody to at least push him nudge them all right,
appreciate the love, love the show, and can't wait to
hear you guys.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
All right, comedian here got the thing about it when
you're young, in your twenties and stuff, and you playing
in the league, we don't listen to sports talk react.
We don't listen to sports talk radio. We try not.
The worst thing you can do is watch ESPN while
you play. Like we don't. We in our own little
bubble per se where we keep the rat poison out.
(52:57):
It's Nick saving a sake. We keep the weak the
week rat poison out, and we just we had a
young time as young men where we don't we don't
listen to talking heads. We're rather listen to each other,
listen to a coach say something. But we're not turning
on one O six seven the fan we listened to
to hip hop or so we're not. We're just not.
(53:19):
There is the youth. When you're in your youth, you're
not trying to do any of that. And I don't
know if they're gonna bring any competition in, Like here
gonna think about kickers. You searching for one right now?
You're searching at the bargain bend you're not searching. You're
not searching, you're not shopping at Macy's.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
Right now, Guys like I'm good from twenty It's like
we don't listen just.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
Because the Cowboys had a player's wife say you know what,
you can miss those kicks from seventy and he actually
could make them. That don't happen to everybody. Kickers are
very much like quarterbacks. We got eight billion people on
this planet. We ain't found thirty two good ones in
the same year yet. All right, it's very finite. Now
(54:05):
what we are getting the influx of is Australian and
soccer players into the NFL, and they're taking kicking to
another level.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
Yeah, and also the balls are juice this year. Yeah,
I thought I did not realize I was reading this.
I did not realize the rules where in previous seasons
you got a football if you're a kicker an hour
before the game, you.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Have to let that football got to work it out.
And now the NFL gave.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
All these footballs, like sixty footballs to the teams like
during camp, so they've had.
Speaker 1 (54:32):
Weeks and weeks and weeks.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
To get these footballs exactly.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
The way they want them, which is why you're seeing
football's go farther than ever.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
I just think it's evolving, just like everything else. The
legs are getting stronger, the accuracy is there, and what
used to be. No, we won't kick a sixty. These
are routine, their routine right now, so but I hate
to break them aw to you. It's just not a
lot of kickers available. Yeah, it's just not all right.
Speaker 9 (54:56):
Last one is we're running shortter on time. This can
kind of double as our geek out.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
Okay, f we can do that.
Speaker 9 (55:00):
Okay, once again my volume, Okay.
Speaker 7 (55:04):
I have all right.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (55:07):
Hey, this is Ray in North Carolina. I happen to
be a pest control guy for about the past I
don't know, thirty years.
Speaker 12 (55:15):
The natural habitat of a rat.
Speaker 5 (55:17):
Is a swamp, a swamp like environment that includes above
ground habitat as well as slightly below ground. They are
scavengers galore. They are necessary in the ecosystem because they
get rid of all the waste products that other animals
don't eat and or dead and decaying matter. So they
keep the environment free and disease free in a way.
(55:39):
But it's also why they carry so much disease into
our habitat and the swamps. They don't spread the disease
to anybody, but when they're in the urban environment, as
you're describing, they bring those diseases around us. Hope that
helps a little bit of extra background for you. HTTC.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
So what was geek out? Yeah, brought to you by
commanders fans right there? Swamp swamp. Why didn't nobody think
of it? Because the natural habitat of a peak is
the swamp.
Speaker 1 (56:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Like they're born and raised in the swamp, all right,
so why not rats too?
Speaker 3 (56:18):
You know what's funny is that two weeks ago I
live in a small conno building right in DC, only
seven condos right in there forever, and we send an
email around the building. Hey, I don't think we need
I didn't send this, but our finance guide it.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
I don't think we need pest control here. I haven't
seen anything around the garbage bends. We're good to go.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
As soon as I got that email, I went downstairs
to take.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
Out the trash.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Over the trash ben d two big rats right on
top of thet ye.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
Take them back up, shign them back up again. Called
the past mine.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
That's gonna do it for this edition to Get a
Loud podcasts, but it's was that by Seat Geek as
my guy friend spoo.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
I'm Michael Jak and.
