Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome to the Players Club. We are your host.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I'm loading fletchers here with sat Tyna Moss aka Cowboy
Killing aka Giants Slayer, and we got Sea Springs aka
flute full kind of shy man. Let's tell people what
they can expect from today's episode.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well, you know, today, man, we're gonna be talking about
some of our favorite moments from our NFC East battles
with those men, the g Men.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Then we're gonna be previewing this matchup, Week fifteen, matchup
in the Big Apple everybody likes to play on Broadway.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
And later in the show, we got our guy, our
rookie j CJ.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
All right, let's get this show started. We're gonna kick off, man,
we gotta you talk about the NFC East. Let's talk
NFCS man, just for just for a little bit, man.
Games coming down to the stretch. We got four games,
our final four games against NMC rivals and Energizz got

(01:00):
the Egles twice still and the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I feel like all the games I'm kind of lined
up like that. Throughout the NFL. I think all these
divisions are playing. You know, the majority of these games
are going to be against the divisual. You know, rivals
or opponents, it's it's a gaunlet you know what I mean,
regardless of what your record is. I mean playing guys
that you're familiar with. Man, they can go anywhere. And

(01:24):
we know in this league is tough. Beating the team twice.
So you know, for for some of us, lucky we
played the played the Cowboys already once and we played
the Giants already, want from the play them again this week,
but not playing a team yet, and you see them
twice in the last three weeks. That's odd, Like I
never I've never seen it done. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Man, you're talking about the Egos defend the Super Bowl Chaps,
but they've been struggling lean our division at eight and five,
but they've lost three straight games, including Monday night's game
in LA and in LA against the Chargers. Jalen hurts
Man five turnovers in that game one player, you had
two on the same two turns. I was like, is

(02:03):
that the first time that's happened in the NFL. But
that was crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
But you know it's odd about that. Just think about it.
And we've been on teams. Bro We three turnovers on
one play. Yeah, he had yeah, but he had two
of them. We've been on teams where it's just things
didn't go your way. But to say that you had
five turnovers in the game offensively and still have a
chance to win the game. You could have closed it
out before overtime, but then you get a chance in
overtime and still close it out and you're driving and

(02:26):
you lose it again with another turnover. It shows you
how you can take a team and say, oh, well
they just had a three game skied. But when you
really look at the Eagles, are they that bad? I
don't think so. That's me person, That's what my I see.
I see a team that goes through these little woes.
I also see a team that you know, this man
has a different oc every year. Give them credit, you

(02:49):
know what I mean. And the first thing they want
to do is, you know, they go out to the
quarterback rightfully, so because the quarterback gets to you know,
he gets to gloat when they win in and he
also gets to take the run up everything when they lose.
But I feel like I hear Hurt's name tossed around
more than any quarterback despite wins all losses, because they
just don't like what he brings to the table as

(03:10):
the quarterback. I'm not sure if it's about him being
a winner or not sure if this is being him
being like a mediocre quarterback. Whatever it is, something's wrong
in that situation. When they're just talking about her.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
We're mathematically out of the equation and we got the
egos twice, the Giants and Dallas. I'm being honest with you.
I want to be a hater. I want to I
want to be spoiler for somebody.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I don't know who it's going to be, you know,
but you got to take care of business first, I know,
but first things firsts. The only way you can be
a spoiler is by handling business.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
I just want them to throw that out there. I
want us to win.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I know the Eagles and Poul position right now, but
watch out for them Cowboys, man, no doubt the way
the way they're operating no office, right, they got weapons
once this year. We know how explosive they are as office.
It wouldn't surprise me, man, the way. You know, with
the way Philly's playing right now, the Cowboys able to
end up coming out on top of that division. But

(04:05):
we got a chance to also spoil that so we
want both of them to lose table too. Would you
rather the Cowboys winning division or the Eagles?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Either one?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Well, all right, fellas, you know it's time for fast
Lane presented by Easton Automotive Group, any car anyway for
everyone since nineteen eighty eight, fellas, this matchup against the
g men. How do we stack up one against these guys?
Offensively and defensively? But how do you see us slowing

(04:38):
down this rookie sensation? I'm gonna say sensation because Jackson
dark Man, he's shown that, Hey, I'm the next thing
to Josh Allen and you know quietly and I can't
even say quiety because it's nothing about him quiet, But
I guess when you see a losing effort, he's shown
from some flashes where man, hey, you know you let
him get going on you, it could be a long

(04:59):
day for you. So what we got to do? This stuff?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
He Jackson dark He's he's given us this team a spark.
And I say the team because not just the offense,
because they've been in a lot of games, a lot
more games with him at the quarterback position. There was
a I can remember early in the year they had
denver On the ropes Denver out in Denver and the.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, it was a couple of things.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
They've kind of gave it way down the stretch. But
when you look at darks numbers, eleven past tds and
seven rush and tds. Yeah, and and that's that's phenomenal.
You only got three of exception. So he's protecting the
football too. I will say this, the athleticism that he
brings to the game. Now, you got to learn how

(05:44):
to get out of bounds, take them big hits. But
he does provide a spark to this offense. His arm, talent,
athleticism being an extend, plays with his legs. He's a
weapon somebody you gotta you gotta keep in that pocket.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
What about some of his weapons on the receivers on
the out side. Robertson is doing well. You can't forget
about Slayton. He's a guy that he can he can,
he can get going. Saw him a couple of weeks ago.
He had like a pretty nice performance to got a
touchdown tight end. Titan is always the safety net, you know,
for a young quarterback or for any quarterback. What are

(06:19):
some of the guys you think we have to kind
of really you know, you know, put hands on out
the gate, slow down.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
We got Wandell and those guys Slaton. Well, let's back
it up, man.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I mean, I hate to be that guy, but the
giants always are the giants. That guy, the giants are
who we are, I think they are. He's a rookie,
he's a rookie quarterback. Man, he's athletic, he's talented.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
We had a rookie and I know people say, well
Jayden and I'm not and I'm not trying to say
Jackson Darting is not good J five.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
He wasn't he JD five? Being that guy, I'm that guy, Okay,
I want to see that.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I just want to be because technically the guy we
just faced was technically a rookie. Still he's playing like
a rookie until he faced us. So that's why, that's
why being that guy. You came wrong time, but.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I feel you you're right. You might be right.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
So what we need to do, man is obviously learning
you alluded to earlier. There's two different teams from when
we face in week one to now right, and Jackson
Dark does give him the energy and he has Josh
Allen esque or like a skill set. But I personally
believe that our defense. This is a nice matchup for

(07:33):
our defense. I think I think our corners and guys
in the back end, especially now of Willhurst, which is
going on this third game or second third game back
in the next being healthy. I thought we played great
against Miami, much better. I think this be Dane's third
game of calling the game against a rookie quarterback. I

(07:55):
like the matchup. I didn't think Minnesota was a good
matchup for us. I didn't think Adason and Jefferson was the.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Thing that's been hurting us in all these games. Especially.
It really showed as a readers ugly head against the
Minnesota Vikings our inability to get pressure on the quarterback,
especially when it's just a four man rush. Darna, he's
been sacked twenty three times and only ten starts. We're

(08:22):
gonna dial up to the pressure, do we. They don't
have the type of weapons on our side like Minnesota,
and I know DQ talked about hey, not wanting to
give up the explosives.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, is it a situation where.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
You see that game that's a different transparnd The way
it did is because we was trying to be so
safe putting that that. I guess you could say that
shell over years and it just allowed us as it
allowed the quarterback to kind of, like you know, have
his way because he didn't have to think too much.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
We picked our portion, we picked up.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I think the goal was we don't let him move
the ball between the twenties. But we're gonna play great
reds on defense. We have been doing previous Exactly what
we failed is this past game against minifold Minnesota, they
were fourth for four in the red zone. So instead
of fortunately kick field goals, getting touchdowns a big difference

(09:17):
this game, We're gonna get it. You're gonna have to
tweak it a little bit now. Robertson he can take
the top off the defense, and he asked before, yeah,
so you got to. You gotta be careful with him
as well. But they don't have the same type of
skill set, the same type of fire power on our side,
so I could I would anticipate us, maybe us turning

(09:38):
up to die a little bit more on some pressures.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
And to that point, I think we could take a
little more risk against the Giants because Minnesota is their defense,
was gonna do what.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
They do and give that give their.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Offense more opportunities where I think I think our offense
can move the ball on that defense, so we can
be a little more riskier and take more against it.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
And I'm glad you brought that up. This to be
a great segue speaking of you know, our offense going
up against their defense. You know up front, you know
Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, Brian Burns leading right now with
thirteen secs on the season, how can our offense a
line keep these guys from our quarterback? And what do
you want to see us do you know? Quite frankly,

(10:22):
to kind of be that offense that we know we
can be, I think.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
The most the critical stat that I think we all
will agree to us. You're thirty first in the league
and stopping the run. So I don't care who's up front.
Obviously you're something that's wrong. You're out of your gaps.
Here's what you do running the damn running the damn ball.
And to be fair, dex Lawrence, everybody's on him about

(10:46):
him not having a great year, but a lot of
it is dex Lawrence is taking on these double teams
that they run a three fourth front with some overhang
linebackers and stuff, and he's doing his job, but it
just seems like every now and then they'll get out
of gap at the second and then the good guys.
So for us, I mean, it's not a secret, man,

(11:06):
it's gotta be one of those games where you're intentional
about like, hey, we're coming in here, we're taking advantage
of your weakness and that's stopping the run. We get
backed up on first down and you let Burns t
Off come in. I mean that's when I dual Carter.
That's when it gets scary.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
But my thing too is it's about a rhythm, you
know what I mean. And one of the things I
find we often do offensively. Now remember them counting to
counting how many first downs we rant the ball week
Last week, I was watching the TV copy and every
time we rant the ball on first down, they was
literally pointing it out saying that that's the way you
have to do it. That's what I want to see, Like,

(11:43):
we have to establish a rhythm with our offense, Like
it sucks when we get behind the change by forcing
or doing something some kind of trickery or foolery that
we do at times. And then we got to now
try to force the run. So to me, it's about
establishing that that rhythm with the run game. And the
only way you do that to me is getting your

(12:05):
guy in the center at times, which we did a
lot of last week at Minnesota, and run the ball,
or if we're not going to run the ball, fool
them sometime and say, Okay, you know what, even if
I'm not going to run this ball first down, let
me put my guy in the center because now I
got you as a linebacker. As a defense, they might
be running this ball. So when I show that motion,

(12:25):
even if it's just a pop pass of my tight
end or to a guy on a slip screen, I'm
giving you that thought process that you have to second guess.
You're not just sitting back there saying, Okay, they ain't
gun right now, so nine time out of ten, it's
going to be a pass.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
That's what I hate about what we did this. The
difference is, and I feel like we've talked about this.
I know I've talked about this on the show in
the past. From a defensive standpoint it especially as a
linebacker and maybe even a corner or something not corner.
I'm so safety because corners, they don't. They're not kind

(12:59):
of look at the action the same way we would.
But when you're under the center and you go run action,
it's going to force me, especially if you if you
play that, whether it's a boot leg outside zone something
like that, you show that ball on them out them
offers on line that are turned sideways. You have no

(13:21):
choice but to respond that and to respect that because
you don't know if that ball is being handed off.
When you're in the gun and you go play action
and you kind of show that action, it's not gonna
get the same type of reaction from me as a linebacker,
especially if we're playing a lot more zone. I'm not
going to necessarily take three steps forward to react to that.

(13:45):
I might take one step, but I'm not that far
away from still getting into my zone coverage. So there
is a difference that when you when you're under center,
you you go play action.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
It just creation. So can I put this out here
and is it safe for me to put this out here?
Do you see us trying to adopt some kind of
normalcy to what we do offensively to give us more opportunities,
Because I feel like right now, in two years of
us running our office. And I'm not saying, you know,
I'm not never being that guy to say, you know,

(14:16):
scrap everything and do something different. But I have been
on teams and Coach Givez was good at this. If
something works better, and we still have what we do
that works too, what's wrong with adopting that and doing
that and putting it in our game.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I think they have started to do that a little
bit more, And I'm.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Just saying, do you see us doing it more often?
Like going forward? I would love for us to do that.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I think what we did it more in this past,
this past we've never ever done. To think about last
year when you got Jade as a rookie, what's he
most comfortable with? Yeah, playing in the gun, and we
were one of the top officers in the league. Yeah,
last year doing that. So now let's kind of add
to that, put a little bit more on this play.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
So I just feel like, you know, and I don't
mean to cut you off. I just feel like, when
when you're playing a season like we played this year,
knowing that that the schedule is gonna be tougher, you
want to adopt certain things that cripples that that opponent
You know what I mean, whatever they whatever it was
that they couldn't do or whatever it was that got
the other teams, gave the other teams that their other
opponents the advantage. You kind of put that in your

(15:20):
game plan. I feel like we did it too late. One.
We also had a bunch of going on with our injuries,
you name it. But I feel like we would have
shot at some of that stuff earlier. It gave ourselves
a better chance of being in some of those games
that we won in.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Man, y'all, y'all talk about old school football, being under
the center and stuff that given us memories. Man, this
we're gonna transition to your favorite memories against the New
York Giants. Brother and and we like to say, you know,
what's your favorite game you played that met Life, but
we can we can extend that to you know, the

(15:54):
Meadowlands or just or just being in the big Apple,
big New York, being on being in front of all
the lights.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
And I'm gonna start off with you because this was
a little bit of your home right you know you
you know the Jets, you played in the metal Lands
and everything. What's some of your favorite memories? And we
just like if you have memories against the GM.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Yeah, you know, just going there. Man. First of all,
let me put out there, I hate it playing there,
and I don't know it's because I want to play
there at you know, being a home team there with
the Jets. But I feel like going back to the
way that I went back every year, it wasn't good
for me because I'm one of those guys. So let
me give you a little story about me. Once I

(16:34):
cut the cord from something, I never want to see
it again. If I just happened to see it by mistake,
it's cool. But when I know I have to see
you every year and I don't cut this cord and
I done moved on, why repeat something that you know
what I mean? So I hate you. A breakups, I
hate I'm with them because I don't never break it up.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
I just fly off into the feld, you know what
I mean. Should the break up with you, guess what.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
You leave me alone and we're gonna be just so
That's who I've been all my life. So they broke
up with me, whether it was the Jets or not,
the Medo Lands, the met Life, whatever you want to
call it about to break it up, I was not
pissed off. I was okay, guess what you we need better.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
You need better and I need.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Better, And I was okay going over into d C.
So to see them every year, it was like, you
know what, you're the Giants, lag you had having more
touchdowns in my career against the Giants. You're absolutely right.
I didn't say that. I didn't say that I had
a problem playing against the team. I had a problem

(17:43):
seeing the stadium. That's what I'm It's all about the
stadium right now. But when it comes to it, man,
you you you know, that was just getting myself into
the stadium. When those lights come on and that whistle
is blown, it's kind of go to work now. So
I went to work. But my fondest memory there, you know,
playing against them, and I'm gonna say, Mett Life, I'm
gonna talk about MetLife is the twenty twelve RG first

(18:08):
year here. Man, we had a chance to just beat
these guys straight up. We was going blow for blow.
I had two touchdowns that day. And it's crazy to
me because the year prior to that, twenty eleven, I
broke my hand that year, and you know how those
years are when you come back from off an injury.
You just thrug it's not the same, you know. But

(18:29):
I ended up coming back to Met Life that year
and scored a touchdown, So it always seemed like I
had a way of you know, responding when I went
up there play against them. But that two and twelve
stood out the most. That two touchdown performance ended in
a loss, and you know, I just shared about how
I felt about that because I saw the play that
Cruise ran on us in the game. I saw it

(18:49):
in practice that week when I scouted team wide receivers
ran it and the way it was played in practice
it wasn't played the same way in the game. And
that just showed me how critical thold situation when we are,
when we're going through the motions or you're going through
these things to prepare for your opponents. You have to
be sound man and what you do. And I'm big
on that, like, do your job, bro. I'm I'm always

(19:12):
lose doing what you told me to do. Now if
I lose when you say Tanner, run this route this
way and I'm not successful, just know the next time
I run that route is gonna be my way. Because
I gave you a shot to be correct, and so
when I saw us lose that way, man, it had
a bad taste in my mouth. I remember us driving
after their school and I ended up fumbling. I believe

(19:32):
I caught a pass on the last drive and fumbled
the ball. You know, they had a way of I
always wore sleeves and them things be slippery, and I
got them getting tackled, but they holding me up, and
they swiping at the ball and the guy pulled it out.
So that that memory stands out more than anything, you know,
playing in that stadium, Big.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Fletch in a big Apple. Yeah, what it means to you, man?

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Like some bolls, some players, you know, some players, you're
a legend in the game, mas, some players get up?

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Or did it even matter? In New York? Listen, Big
Fletch and a big Apple. What you think happened? Grace?
See that's what I'm read.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Now.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I didn't notice was my personality. What what the crazy
thing is? I used to be so like I would
use anything to motivate, you know that part. You know,
I wouldn't say anything in the media because you know,
I want to need a low material. But I'm just
looking for any freaking thing to to just this dude.

(20:44):
I might see somebody's jersey. I don't see enough Fletcher
jerseys when I'm in the coming into the state. I'm
pissed off you like y'all disrespected me. Brandon Jacobs running hard,
he's gonna run over man, I'm I'm dropping him. Going
against the giants, man, big, you got to perform. I
asked several interceptions there. I don't know what my career

(21:06):
numbers was against them, but to you, a giant sleib,
but I didn't kill some giants. To digital, you talk
about interceptions talking about you should be talking about tackles.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
I was going to say that. I was going to
say this. So it's one thing of talking about what
you did. It's another one. You hear there's so many
guys that's doing what we're doing now. And you heard
Brandon Jacobs on the podcast say, man, I got hit
so hard by London Fletcher. I love it because I
played with him. And I said, like I told you,
I love sharing this because I told them folks at home,
I say, bro, you know it's a joy. I told

(21:40):
Flesh when Flesh did my first podcast that I had
I had to send to the mass eighty nine podcasts
years ago before I even thought I'd be doing this
thing at this rate. And I had Flesh on that
because I've always I admired him as a player and
as a person. And he's sharing me then, So you
you got to coach up close in person with this
guy every day in the you know, in meeting rooms.

(22:02):
I didn't I saw this guy passing, like, realize, man,
if you don't share no space outside this this room
or this building, you don't know people. And all I
knew is Flesh was a damn good player and he
never said nothing as a person to me. So passed
this do in the locker room and give him the
nod like that's my guy, because I know he's gonna

(22:23):
go out and smack some his But I didn't.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Know who he was.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
I just knew.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Now you know, he's big Apple Fletchroad, He's Broadway fletched.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Never might.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
He the lights come on? He probaba fletch listen. So
we played the Giants in New York. I don't know
remember what year it was, but this one. At one
point in time when the Giants was rolling, they had
they had the best office a lot in football. They
talking about the Cowboys, Giants Office of Lines, especially their interior.

(22:57):
Three Oh here Christian and uh dude named Shot Schubert.
Chris need was Tom Coffin's son in law. They used
to love running power, that power power. So Chris Neek
was the guy who was most times he would be
the one who would pull right. So I see it

(23:18):
first time. I see a lot of times as a linebacker,
you're gonna take take him up high, you know, kind
of restrict the hole and whatever, and that's typically how
it did it do it.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
But for some reason I had a burrow on this
game that burrow on and.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
I went in there and I knifed him, cut him
at the knees, created a power. They don't like that,
so he like, London, don't be cutting me, and YadA
YadA ya, let me shut you say what I said,
you know, go back to So they run it again,
probably three or four time plays later.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
I cut his ass again.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Dirty. The worst thing he could do is let me
know he didn't like that.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Oh man, dude, you I'm gonna pick the hell out
of this scap And I liked them again.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
All three of them end up trying to get me
later on.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
But it's something about the giants man going against Eli
and those up and uh player, especially in the in midlife.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
You gotta show up man.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Yes, and real quick on. My memory is always I'll
never forget.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
It's the funniest, one of my funniest memories of all
my years playing football. So the game started, it was
I think we was playing them on a what a
Sunday night or something lately.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
We had already played them two weeks ahead.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Then we go up to the Meadowlands, you know, two
weeks later, and were playing them on like a Sunday night.
So it was a lot of commercials and I just
we had just played them, and I remember Smooth saying, hey, Blue,
I got to tell you something, Blue, I got to
tell you something.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I say, Man, what'sap?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Brother?

Speaker 2 (24:49):
So I was like, not, now, wait till we get
to the sideline. So I go out, we go to
the first two plays they run or whatever. Then then
we all it's like then they might have got the
first down. Then it's like a little TV time out
and Fred's like, hey man, this is serious. I gotta taste.
I'm thinking he gonna give me a tip for the game.
So he said it's TV time on. He said, look
over there. I said, what we're looking at? He said,

(25:11):
that's the biggest team. Are they real giants? Are they
real giants? He said, shocky six five Plexico Plexico six'
Five Amani Tumor Brandon Jacobs and the line was. Huge
To fletch his, point huge dudes on, defense huge on.
Defense So fred was, like somebody gonna get. HURT i, Said,

(25:31):
fred we literally just played them two weeks. Ago who're
gonna get. Hurt we're football.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Players we need to be hurting. Somebody and then you
know that's Where fred decided to turn turns players down
and Left Brandon.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Jacobs he was good for making business, decisions so you
give him to give him credit for speaking OF i
remember THAT i had against The giants Against washington two
thousand and six.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
SEASON i came HERE o, seven two thousand and. Six
we were playing the final.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Game i'm with The.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Bills we're playing The ravens the last game of the
season on A. Sunday y'all played The giant the final
game of the season on A saturday Night, saturday AND
i Saw Tiki barbara rough for about three hundred yards
against y'all killed us. MAN i, said, oh big flesh
about to get played because they come. On Greg williams

(26:22):
was my defensive. Cordator they need a bit of live
AND i do that bag was. Coming oh come, on
don't remind me of, that so.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Finder that was good catching up on The.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Marmorage after the, break we're talking with our own offensive,
Lineman Big Josh Conley.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Here let me appreciate.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
You let me, on, Man, Josh you've had an opportunity
you play thirteen games so far during your rookie. Season
what has this season kind of taught you thus?

Speaker 5 (27:42):
FAR i, mean really just lean on my, guys lean
on the vets around, me and really just taking ALL
i can and just go out there and play it
and honestly continue to believe in myself as. Well you
know WHAT i, mean because like obviously didn't start off
as great AS i wanted it. To but you, know
it's it's only it's only up from.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Here, yeah that's you, know it's funny because we've all
been rookies and PERSONALLY i didn't get a chance to start.
OFF i didn't play a preseason game my rookie. YEAR
i heard of my knee before we even got to the,
preseason SO i didn't play my first game until week.
Twelve how has that transition been from? You you, say,
now what were in week thirteen from pre season week?

(28:22):
Fourteen but she played thirteen games preseason to? Now what
has that transition been? Like and what has it been
like playing every game and just learning on the.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
FLY i, MEAN i feel like that that's How i've gotten.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
BETTER i feel like just being out there getting the
reps like preseason until, now like it's been just rap strap, straps,
raps you know WHAT i. Mean and obviously you don't
get as many of them as you did in college and,
practice you know WHAT i. Mean SO i feel like
the game reps is Where i've really grown.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Up and you got some veterans in the, room, right
but talk About, tonsil you, know you're talking about one
of the best in the.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
League and right, aside, man what's some of the things
you learned from?

Speaker 5 (28:58):
HIM i, MEAN i feel like he's deep in the league.
Personally obviously that's, biased BUT i MEAN i learned a
lot of, everything like off the, field on the, field
how to carry, yourself you know WHAT i Mean by
like the biggest takeaways is how to continuously like having
yourself ready For, sundays and how he prepares and the
way he treats himself in terms of like, recovery, eating,

(29:21):
right you, know certain things like.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
That so so you you grew up In, seattle went
Around West coast, guy now two sport. Athlete in high
school football, player you were a. Hooper now it's some
hoopers that came out Of. Seattle what was what was
your hoop game like in high?

Speaker 1 (29:39):
SCHOOL i was in the. Key we're really get too
far out from.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
There BUT i SAY i got the, boards put it
up WHEN i, could and you, know move the ball.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Around that was.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
It so it wasn't like a stretch. Five, NO i
wasn't on the how you do? It just like.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
Guardfielding the man we're running there being you, know he
got a real basketball school.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
Out, yeah, y'all y'all be guard feeling though that was
it was a rough that was a rough. Patch they
would get they was get they would get. Us but
now but now.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
We're back on top of, you back right now beach
Little Nate robinson and all those.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
Speaking of hoop, Man, like who is some of the
guys you can see on the office line that you're
playing with now on this team that you think that
has a game or you know has game because you,
know we Had Trent williams here and the dude moved
like a bat.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Arena he can.

Speaker 5 (30:28):
Move you, know one, dudes right, now L t can
L t can move b c Uh Trent. JULIAN i
feel LIKE i feel like that would be like my.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Father, yeah so that's just starting five on on you
if you had to pick a basketball.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Year BUT i Mean dieter, wildly they can get lose to,
now they can get.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Jiggy so, yeah that's what's.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Up.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Man so but like they keeping on the basketball, theme
obviously that's, footwork, Right so so how does that? Translate
how do you think that helped you even in college
and stuff like, That.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
And, YEAH i MEAN i just like a lotteral.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
Quickness that's that's the biggest, thing is being able to
move with dudes that love to go inside and make
the money there or even if they're like the fake you,
inside go back, out you know WHAT i.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Mean SO i feel like that's where that's. It it's
right there in the.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Game, yeah You're west, coast got LIKE i, mentioned being
being From seattle playing In. Oregon then all of a,
sudden you you come all the way to The east.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Coast what was that like for?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
You was it were you a little kind of, like,
Man i've never lived on The east, coast, right? Nervous
so did you get homesick a little bit or.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Anything, YEAH i definitely SAID i was homeshick at.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
First my mom came out here during the, preseason stayed
with me for about a, week heart my, sister my little,
brother so that was. Nice SO i feel like for
how much my family is actually able to come to, games,
like it helps me a lot just to be able
to see. Them but, yeah hopefully they can they get
to come through for the rest of the holidays and
stuff like.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
That so you got you got college football, Playoffs so
you goto Sprays Ohio, state big tim. Rival now Say
Tanna Mass university Of, Miami who's gonna win the national
championship and state your cake For? Oregon why why you
feel like if you feel like they're gonna they're gonna win.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
IT i feel, like, YEAH i Got oregon all. DAY
i feel LIKE i feel like our route is the.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
Easiest personally, obviously like we Got Ohio state first last.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Year that was so that wasn't FAIR i.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
PERSONALLY i, mean obviously you're gonna play whoever whoever they
put against.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
You, like it don't matter who they put up. THERE i,
mean but, yeah and with them end up.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
Going BUT i feel like with us getting the home
field advantage first, Game, LIKE i feel like that to
set the tone for, us get us in the right.
Groove and obviously we're not gonna get that whole month
off that we did last year as the one, seed
SO i feel like with, that able to play that
game at home Like austin's unreal as, is but for
a playoff game LIKE i can only imagine, CRAZY i

(33:07):
can only. Imagine and then we got and then we
played we would play. TECH i think after, that you
got an unbelievable. DEFENSE i want to, say their front
seven is. CRAZY i like the front, seven BUT i
feel like we can handle. Them and then hopefully we
get The indiana rematch AND i feel like we got
enough we gotta we'll have enough fire underneath us by
then to take us.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
To the the.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
Way, like speaking of speaking of your guys back home In,
oregon how has it been for you being a rookie
in this league and what have those calls back Being,
like do you often see like see yourself calling back
to the locker.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Room talking To, YEAH i, SAY i definitely call a
lot talk with the with the boys on the old,
line especially to see how the roommates and stuff like,
that but it's definitely it's definitely crazy because there's, dude
there's dudes THAT i call back to and they're older than,
me you know WHAT i, Mean and those were those
were dudes THAT i looked up, to and now they're,

(33:59):
like they're, like, MAN i look up to.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
You some of those questions being asked BECAUSE i remember
when we hear Ej is to call, out call, out locker,
room what up? Everybody and we had so many questions
and we wanted to know what was? It like what
are some of those questions?

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Been, YEAH i mean OBVIOUSLY i feel like they're like
it is it as? Chills they think it is like
you know WHAT i?

Speaker 5 (34:18):
Mean BECAUSE i feel like, orgon like we was like
all day practice non. Stop me is non stop until.
NOW i, MEAN i feel like the. Schedule they always
asked me about the, schedule AND i feel like THE
nfl schedule is definitely a lot more waxed than college.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
School and all that. Stuff, yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
Exactly and then they asked about like the, competition like
the good dudes that you go against and like how
how is? That and they're like and they always ask,
me like is everybody on the, team you, know like
you got your every everybody no matter what it. IS
i feel like up here could be scouting, guys could be.
Started every everybody's.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Good saying that some schools depending on who you, are you,
know Because organ is one of those schools THAT i
don't know About organ that, much BUT i could just
watch you got from watching you guys. Play depending on
what school you went, to it prepares you for what
you're going to see you in the lead because that
youim like you talk about, here everybody is. Great that's
how it was in. COLLEGE i mean it was a

(35:14):
brawl in, practice like it got to fights over the.
Daily so to come here and not have to go
against that that number one guy at, time it's kind
of a little step down from what you had experience
in college because you're going against number.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
One he had just he had just left when you
got that, him and SO i missed him by a.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
Year but, YEAH i definitely FEEL i definitely feel that
because LIKE i feel LIKE i work and we were
going a lot of ones on, ones like you, know
like our team run periods or like past rush, periods
like we're going one on like one on one is a,
lot AND i feel like, here it's like a lot
more just.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Scout, yeah you know WHAT i.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Mean so one of the things we also when we
had a players because we like to kind of find
out what a guy's like off the, field for you
kind of what what type of things do you enjoy
doing when you're not around the facility you're not playing?

Speaker 5 (36:08):
Football, YEAH i MEAN I i enjoy like good, MOVIES tv,
Shows So i'm more a homebody that counch man That
netflix right now, here what you, yeah a little bit.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Stranger, things not the stranger things. Nice, YEAH i heard.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
It i've heard a little bit of, her a little bit.
Mixed but my fa my favorite all time is what's
the show Called.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Breaking? Back that's The Pacific northwest to? Yeah AM i?
Saying THEN i, finished.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
All, right well that but that ain't bad. MAN i
LOVE i love always like two weas with my day
in the league WHERE i GOTTA i, GOTTA i got
a shot to just go to a movie and watch
