Speaker 1 (00:00):

to panic?
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Never, No, it's not time to panic.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
We do a really tight recap of the Green Bay
Packers game, but we're on to the next We're gonna
roll the dice, right Fred talking about this Las Vegas
Raiders team, and then we got hell yeah, hell no.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
It all starts right now.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Sell.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Welcome into the Command Center Podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm Logan Paulson here with Fred Smoot and Tantana Moss
and as always, we are in the Big Bear AI
Command Center studio.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yep, yep, yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Quick announcement. Make sure tickets if you want tickets, buy him.
I always get this mixed up over here right little there, Yeah,
it is there. The little QR code you clicked out thing,
it really helps us out.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
So make sure you buy the tickets there. Really appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
And if you don't like the QR code thing, the
link is in the description it is, so that would
really help us out. Yeah, so we do have a
game to talk about.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Little review.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
It's a couple about seven days away, so we're not
gonna hit this too hard. But like basically my question
to you, is it.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Time to panic?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Pans are freaking out?
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Is it time to freak out?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Are we panicking?
Speaker 3 (01:09):
No, I'm not panicking.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
But I did wear black all black today because it's
a small funeral.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
You ain't.
Speaker 6 (01:14):
You ain't wear your Force one. Don't see if you
the war your black Force.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
One, that's where you knew it was time. So I'm
not quite panicked.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Look at your shoes.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
By the way, you know, I.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
Stepped it up my kids. They brought me variety with
my own money. You know what I'm saying. Not' you
a parent, It's nothing like a kid buy you a
gift with your own money, and then you look at
it and say, you know what.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
I brought this for myself. This is what being a
parent is.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
I appreciate y'all helping me out something that I haven't
done myself.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Yeah, but they infuse you with that youth they give you.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
But yeah, so should we panic like it's the second eight.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
I'm not gonna panic eight quarters into a season. Love.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
This is what I've been telling fans though, and everybody else.
I mean, we played this game, and even if you
don't play the game, you should understand that there's no
season like the other you know what I mean? Like
coming into this season when people was feeling like they
was feeling, you supposed to because we do have something good.
But just understand, this is the game. You know, you
have to be lucky and you also have to be
(02:16):
good to be that last standing team. So it's early
in the season. We had so much going on offseason,
we had so much turnaround. When it comes to new players,
things got to catch up. You have to get out
of that preseason mode. You have to get caught up
into you know, actually playing in games, because you know,
we played the game. At least we played in the
preseason more than these guys do.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
So that's how I look at it.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Man, guys are still going through that preseason mode, trying
to get theirself back acclimated to playing real football, and
to me give them like four weeks baby, and then
we start.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Talking from this is what I want to tell the fans.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
All right.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Let's be honest. We are a better team right now
today than we were last year, all right, and that's
throughout the roster.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Looking here the fans right now, Fred, how do you
know that?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Though?
Speaker 5 (03:01):
I know it because we're playing a harder schedule that
we earned last year, all right.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I want you to look at the teams that we're playing.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
They all have legit quarterbacks, they all got legit playoff chances.
This is the new norm. Get used to this. It
will be no cakewalks.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
All right.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
We've watched Kansas City for the last three years. Inch
stay way through games. They're blowing nobody out like the
old Kansas City. Like, this is the new norm, and
the new norm comes with competition. And when you get competition,
you get the best out of everybody. When you get
the best out of everybody, sometime you're gonna sputter, sometime
you not. But you know where the level is. The
(03:39):
ceiling is different now than the ceiling would last year.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, I agree with you.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
And I think the other thing too is I think
you got to give a lot of credit to Green Bay.
That team is really good, really good defense. Is the
defense specifically really impressed me. They impressed me in the
Baltimore tape or the Detroit tape, excuse me, and then
they impressed me watching them live.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
Especially when Detroit comes back and put up fifty two. Yes, yeah,
listen to me. That Green Bay the key to stopping
a very fast, precision throwing quarterback like Jadon Daniels.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Power is not enough with the rush. You need to
rush with speed.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Green Bay happened to be one of those teams with
a couple of power rushers and they's legit speed rushing,
very diverse rushing, thank you all right, So they rushed
as a group, but they all show roash I mean
rush singular, right, And Michael Parsons is the best speed
rushing in the game.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
I mean, that's the thing. I think people like, they
they categorize him as a speed rusher, but he's got
great everything power, He's got great speed.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
Look at his sex. He's mostly chasing people down, like.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I mean, he does chase people down.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
But I think, like when you look at his pressures
off the course of the your like he can rush,
he can bowl rush lane John like a he's a
diverse athlete.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
He's a bull.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
And then you add him with a guy or you
ad him with guys that can you know those guys
wasn't slaughters either, you know what I mean. And then
and at the same time, when you watch, like I
talked about this on the post game show, just from
me my naked eye, when I'm watching, I'm like, oh,
this looked like the Eagles just look like they can
beat us with just four guys. Guy, it was a
(05:19):
four guy and you just saw guys sitting and squatting.
Cornerbacks wasn't leaving eight yards but not backpell they was
not moving. So you know, when you have that kind
of you know, scheme and the players to go.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
With it, it leads to success.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
And with all that being said, with all that being said,
like trust me, like I say, it's.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Football, I still saw us have opportunity.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
The game never got out of hand. I still saw opportunity,
you know what I mean. So that's what I loved
about us. Like I'm gonna always give it to you Row,
you know, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be truthful. I
can't tell a lie when it comes to just the obvious.
We got a good team, bro. They're still in there
fighting with the short week, being on the road, with
that that stadium rocking. You know, with all that being said,
(06:00):
guy's not making the plays they normally play. We still
was in the game. So I look at it like this,
hass off to you Green Bay. Pass off to the
guys who went out there and fought and came up short.
We get another week to do it.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
It was similar to the Canelo fight. We seen two
great boxes in there. One just kept on fighting, one
just kept on fighting to the end. And that's what
it was, that home field advantage. Like you said, we
had to do that travel. No excuses from me, all right,
But I would rather lose to a team the first
time I played in knowing that it's a great chance
(06:33):
that I will see you later. I would rather lose
to you the first time. I just think it means
less early in the year than it does later.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Yeah, it really felt like, you know, like there was
a solid defense last year, at least on paper. But
I feel like when you dropped Michael Parsons and it
really just made the whole thing go. It made for
Shawn Gary better, It made Lucas and that's better. It
made wife better.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
That's like dropping lobster tail in any dish. If I
got steak and then you say steaking loft today, it
makes it better.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
It ain't.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
No, it's not one defense you can't put Michael Parsons
on in NFL that it don't drastically get better.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
You can see the difference in Wheen when you take
him off of defense, how drastically worse it looks, you know.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
So that's just the same as adding them to somebody.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
I know we've talked to this arty, but like, I cannot,
I cannot believe that Jerry Jones today.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
I can't.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
And then the crazy thing about it is he like,
you know, I watch the double down on it. I
feel like he lied to my face. It was like
he's a bad player. I was like, here, I've not
seen him play bad in the game and ever ever.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I haven't seen the guy.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
The only thing I saw Michael Parsons do that I
thought that was kind of like strange because you don't
see guys of his caliber due is get on the
podcast every night. That's the only thing I thought that
was strange, which he hasn't been doing it yet. He
has been doing yet, but I'm just saying that's the
only thing I thought that was weird because you see
a guy with that talent, Normally those guys don't get
in front of the mic or want to be seen
all the time. But Mike was in that thing every
(08:00):
week last year, you know what I mean. So that's
what I thought was strange. But being a bad player, come.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
On, man, I think what Jerry was saying was because
of the podcast. It made some cracks in the locker room,
because the lawrence was always going in. I'm talking about
get off the podcast. The safety was like get off.
I looked at that.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
As more as you ever know when you're on a
team and you got a couple of guys that's already
kind of bitter that you better than them, and then
you get out there and you talk and you truthful
and you don't bite your tongue and you call them
out and you also speak loud about it. I thought
that was more so that because Parsons didn't shy away
from telling the truth about his teammates. And when you good,
(08:40):
you can't really say nothing to a guy who's doing
his thing. You can't say, well, you ain't not because
he's actually going out there and carrying some of you guys.
So that's what I looked at that part about those
guys beefing. It was more so a guy's a little
bitter that that he's a good face and telling them
the truth, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (08:55):
He was holding them guys accountable.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
I think the other thing too, about the Michael Parson's edition,
is like in Week one he played only on the
offensive right side the defensive left, and all of a
sudden this week like the package just exploded.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
It was coming.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
I knew it was coming.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
I was hoping, but it took him two weeks to
learn to play.
Speaker 6 (09:16):
They specifically said, we know what you we know who,
you know where. You played these guys twice last year
and we saw what you did against them both games. Yeah,
and we're gonna let you feel we FeelA, let you
out the dog on cage, let you do what you do.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
And that's and that's what we saw.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
This guy was everywhere, man, he even you know, and
I heard somebody asking.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Me this on doing the weekend. It was like, yeah,
but he only got half a set.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
Bro y'all understand y'all looking at sacks, look at what
he caused.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
The pressure.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
The pressure is almost like sacks.
Speaker 6 (09:45):
When you're getting that kind of pressure to to to
a quarterback and what.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
He wants to do. It spees everything.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
What I told you all about the years of me
playing receiver and knowing you can just put the.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Pressure on our quarterback.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
If I'm gonna read, that goes my that goes my
chance because if I'm not open. Now he has to
get off of me. So that's what I saw. I'm
sitting back there watching. He couldn't even sit there and
be who he wanted to be at time because of
the pressure.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
So just give you, just to give you some context.
So he had eight pressures half a sack on thirty
seven pass rush attempts. That's twenty one point six percent
past like pressure rate.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
So the year that dron Payne had eleven sacks, eleven
and a half sacks, his pressure rate was ten.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yes, you know what I'm saying. So it's double that.
Like this is like elite pass rushers.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
This is total disruption.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yes, this is an you can't run your offense like this.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
I'm a hunter, right, I like to go in the woods.
I like to stop that. This is right now listen.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
And I used to have this this hound dog, this
blue tick slow pop rock bain.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
This to me, slow poke, this to me when you
make up names. I know that way you got a
name Tanda. I had this blue teap.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
You call him slow pok like you're not you're not
saying like slow poke, get it.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Listen to me and your lead dog. He controls the
rest of the hunt dogs.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
All right, what are you hunting?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
By the way, deer at the time, hunt deer. And
the one thing about slow poke was I don't mess
with Jason jack Government. Hey all am slaying is one
slow poke takes off the rest of the dogs.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
They hunt, they go hunt. That's how I felt. That's
how it felt.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
And slow poke don't need to get there first for
the rest of the dogs to hunt.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
But here is the trigger.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Great analogy. I like that.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
But he's the trigger to make this thing go.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
And I'm out there like Daniel Boom, ready to go.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
All right, But I get it's a good analogy. Great
that it's a made up story, but it is a good.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
Fat Joe, fat Joe, little cousin come from Mississippi.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I don't think I'm a hunting I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
So how do I think? I think?
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I think you talk too much to it. I think
you couldn't sit there in silence for three hours.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
I don't think you. And who's hunting deer? Who's hunting
deer with the dog?
Speaker 3 (12:17):
No dog?
Speaker 2 (12:19):
No one hunts deer with dogs.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
I do the dogs sit out of the blind And no.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
I don't sit in the stand, I get on that
land and I go hunt. All you got to do
to make them come your way is put on the
deer spray, which is dear, dear pe You just spray
it on yourself.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
You spray it on my dogs spread out in the field.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yeah, I spray it on my dogs.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
I'm not a hunting but what do they so? What do?
What is the whole purpose of having dogs when you hunt?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
So usually it's retrieve your or you flush.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
You have a dog that flushes, right, send them out
first and they bring it back to you.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
And then if you've got like you're hunting board for example,
like those dogs. Now, like if you said you're hunting
boar with dogs, like you send them out.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
They have ask you that. I was like, why boy
hunting back? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (13:02):
They hunt back, But I was going to ask you
when you hunt boy with those dogs more so than
a deer I hunt.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
If you want to be quiet, if anybody actually hunts
to watch this show, yeah, please, I've never heard, never.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Heard of anybody hunting a deer with a dog.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
You I had a dog, group of dogs close to you.
It's time to go. They don't care what animal I'm hunting.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Please, come in. I can't wait to read the comments.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
Hey tell me if you'll line and you can walk
and hunt there. It's so many ways to hunt deer.
But if I'm going to the woods, I'm bringing my
dogs with me, no matter what I'm hunting, no matter what,
I'm not.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Hunting, never went hunting.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
My appreciate is gonn The only time I went hunting
with duck hunting on Nintendo. Yeah, that's the only thing
I ever done life.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
I'm gonna tell you this, it ain't no woods.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
You can't take your dogs in no matter what you
hunting period. Oh my god, I think we went left.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Rodriguez is Michael Parsons for the Green Bay Packers. And
then also the other thing I wanted to point out
too is I thought the two off ball linebackers Friend
Cooper and oh.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Kraig Walker, Kraai Walker.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
I was so impressed with them, like their ability to blitz,
their ability to run sideline the sideline, their ability to
contain Jane.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Like this team.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Like if I was going to construct a team a
defense yes to contain Jane Daniels.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
This is pretty much what it would look like.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
This is what it looks like, speed, size, quickness IQ.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
You need all those things to beat Jake.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Really the speed is like they're very fast.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
And then when you look at the game and how
it kind of like, you know, I guess you can
say how it went throughout the quarter of the quarter
when you didn't establish a run game, it's easy for
those guys just to pin their ears make and say,
well they're not really I'm goin to get out to you. Yeah,
I'm going to definitely hunt now they want. So when
we was one dimensional.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
I knew it was a rap for us.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
But like I said, with all that being said, third
quarter was seventeen to ten, and we got four pennies
on the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Right that we scored four pennies back to back to back.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
That allowed a team that was already dominating us at
will to just easily come down the field and score
on us again.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
So that's how I look at it, man.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
I look at things from that from that standpoint, like
when you when you kind of make the team, make
the game close defensively, we got to be able to say, okay,
now it's our time to go out here and show,
you know, put our foot in the ground, and we didn't.
And when you have that that that kind of change
of momentum will take advantage of it.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
I heard somebody in them Green Bay Stays holler send
slow poke at them.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
We heard them say that you weren't even there.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
I wasn't, but I heard it on teav my God.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
So yeah, obviously, basically in conclusion, we know, we don't
think there's need to need to panic. I think this
is goin match up short week. Defense is really good
and we're not making excuses. It's just there's context here.
And again, they would have won. It would have been great.
But again like there's you're not gonna win all of them, right,
You're not gonna go sixteen.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
I was just gonna say that, Like, did any of
y'all think we was going seventeen?
Speaker 4 (16:02):
And right now?
Speaker 6 (16:03):
When we did the whole thing about you know what
we thought, you know how season's gonna transport, I think
I'm one hundred percent right now, I said one and
one and week one and two.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
I told her, I said, we're gonna lose the first
road game.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
And there's nothing wrong with that. We won and won
with five.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Hundred and like the other one that gets me. And
we were doing like research for the show, like we
have the Commanders. The Washington football team has not won
in Lambeau.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Oh yeah, nineteen eighty sixty some years.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Doug Williams was the last quarterback to win a game.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
But you know what, they don't win here. We never
loseed it. I have never lost to Green Bay. Here's
a there's a player here. Interesting, So we don't win there.
They don't win here.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yeah, so it's a no, no reason to panic. Obviously,
got a lot of work too.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
We're gonna preview the Raiders game here in a second,
but in the meantime, we got.
Speaker 2 (16:51):

you today. It's called Roll the Dice. It's a Raiders preview,
but also could potentially be kind of some lingering questions
coming in there. We can't answer some questions. So what
Jason did is he made a list of twelve items.
Friend's got some dice. No, I go by the name
Gritch and Gravey. When Grave he's here, Sam's in a row.
(19:15):
We're gonna roll the dice, and we're gonna pick. Hey,
one of these things, says, you know, we're going it's Vegas, man,
they're coming here, you know, a little gambling here, and
and we're gonna pick one of these things, and we're
gonna talk about it.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Right, You're gonna roll the dice. Let's see what we
got here.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
All right, I'm thinking that, Hey, hey, hey, what we got?
Speaker 5 (19:33):
We got Rock Bowers, pounerful pound, the best tight end
in football to me, right, Rick, I'm sorry, Fred, you
can't say that his route, running, his yeck after the kitch,
his body position, the way he catches the ball is.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Best receiving tight end.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Yes, he's a bad receiving tighty. I know blocking, I
know this big part of what you like to do.
I understand, But brock Bows is better, right, Only think
The only flow when I look in the eyes of
brock Bows that I see is a receiving hair laugh
of somebody.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
So he shaved his head. He did shaved it.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
It's over. Other than that, he got no weakness.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
He got talking about what he looks like.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
He looks like like a superman Villa, looks like Nick Luthor,
like completely shaved all the way back perfectly, roundhead, looks
like a little devious.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:22):
So we didn't hear much from him this week though.
You know, he was dealing with that little knee injury.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah, he had the sleeve, but he still made some plays.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
It was it wasn't the plays that we saw him
make Week one, Week one.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
I mean, he like he jumped.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
We're gonna talk about it in the Command Center show.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah, to do a preview of some clips.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
He was a choice route, like a receiver loses this.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Guy and then runs away from him. Yeah, and I.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Have not seen it, Like it's a little George Kittle
in terms of vertical horsepower, but like the suddenness this
he is so smooth, like gift, like there's a wheel
that he runs, like he's adjusting over the show. Like
he's got some really ball skills and really a dynamic playmaker.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Yeah, he's gifted.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
I think just watching them, you know, the other night,
I was looking to see how can he play with
that knee brace song? So not not sure what it's
going to do for our game, you know, to see
if he's going to be a little healthier. But I
just feel like we have a good we have a
good challenge. I mean when whenever you have a guy
that can be a difference maker like that in that
position is always a challenge and they gonna feed him
the rock, don't matter who you have covering them, whether
(21:24):
he's a safety that that's qualified for it or not.
You know, it's always kind of one of those things,
you know, set sounded alarm because you have to worry
about a guy like that that can be a difference
maker in the middle of the field.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
The one thing about him that I think is just
something to point out is they treat him like the
X receiver in their offense.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Right, so they'll have Mayor Meyer.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Michael Maher like, that's a hell of a number two
tight end.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
He's the inline guy, kind of like how you set
the front. He's in a lot, and then they have
Rock kind of.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
They used to use Jimmy Graham animo receiver.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
And I think that's a mistake on their part because
it draws the number one corner.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
If I'm if I want to maximize brock Bowers, I
want two receivers outside and I want him having.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
To run routes on the or a linebacker.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
So I think that's the same thing they did with
Kyle Pitts in Atlanta. They say, oh, you're gonna be
the ex receiver. Yeah, you're drawing a tougher cover match.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
So I kind of like that they do that, and
again they use them in a multitude of ways. But
I noticed that a couple of times in the Patriots game,
and I was like, it seems like you're taking away like, yeah,
he can win.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Yeah, he's still a good receiver. I'm not trying to
take that away.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
But he'll win out of time against his saint in
his lamback. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Like I mean imagine him, like imagine him running around
on you know, linebacker Joe Schmoe.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
That's not what they're there for. You're not there to cover.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
So that's one thing about him that it'll be interesting
to see if they kind of diversify his usage package
as the season goes on.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I'm sure they will.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
With Chip Kelly.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Chip Kelly's won them coaches did. It's it's hit way
out of highway type of coach.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
And also, I was going to say, when you're watching it,
if and this is not an indictment, it feels very
collogy when you watch it, when the spacing of it, Yeah,
the the the backfield sets, it feels like you're in college,
and it hurts them a little bit sometimes in terms
of the route combinations they can get.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
And that's why I feel like gent Ain't got got
off to running the ball because of them.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
College.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
We're gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about that.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
If O grits engrave it thrown it.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
So brock Bowers good player, knee injury, Like Tennis says,
utilizations a little bit funny earlier in the season. They're
still trying to figure it out. But man, he is dynamic.
He's a dog dynamic, dynamic.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Playmaker for them. What we got, uh oh.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Sal.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
I got three three three, Okay, So this is an
interesting one.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Are over turnovers.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
The Commanders, which are a team that are kind of
pride themselves on turnovers, have had zero turnovers through the
first two weeks of this season.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
And we've turned to ball of was zero times out.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, so we're zeros and it's still early. But you know,
Fred is our resident defensive expert. Do you have an
explanation as to why turn fickle?
Speaker 5 (24:00):
I've been say, just because you had the number one
turnover defense last year, the automatically bring you and you
become the same thing.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Like it's one of those statistics like this is again
the nerd stuff. It's a high variant statistic.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Yeah, a certain statistics that are very consistent that are
that model a certain level of production. You can kind
of track them here on air. Turnovers. It's like it's
just like rolling dice. Yeah, you know, you never really
know because it's.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
You never know when you're gonna knock the ball out
of somebody hand and get a fumble.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
You don't know when.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
Like this is the one thing I can correlate the
turnovers is pressure. Peer pressure that makes turnovers happen, all right,
And that's from cause forced fumbles, And that's from like,
quarterbacks do not make mistakes when they're looking you in.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
The eye as a cornerback.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
They only make mistakes when they're looking you when they
can't really look at you and they're looking at.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
The rush, like the rush at Knites.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
Turnovers, like the corners, we get them, but we only
get them because the quarterback is uncomfortable. Comfortable quarterbacks do
not turn the ball over. Uncomfortable quarterbacks turn the ball over.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
And then you got to think about too, you know.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
Just speaking of turnovers, we started the week off, you know,
we won with a turnover. We got a turnover, but
also got a penalty. So when you have a team
that's trending in that direction, I think it was Kuan
that got a pick.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
Did Kwan got to pick and we had.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
To which was a ticket tag call.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
So when you look at where our team, to me,
I think that's a great that's it's great to be
trending in that direction defensively if you're causing enough havoc
up front to get a quarterback to be uneasy even
just talked about it. And then also you know, when
your defense is flying around like that, that can cause
anybody from fumbling the ball or you know, the quarterback
throwing interceptions. On our part of it, when it comes
(25:46):
to you know, holding on to the football, that gives
you a better chance to win, you know.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
I mean you remember that turnover with kwan.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Uh Wagner was in the face of the quarterback, So
like that, I say, uncomfortable quarterbacks turned about.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I'm really glad you brought that up because on the
film Breakdown show that I do, where I kind of
break down all the clips, like there's they're having some
issues with the protections, right because they getting all these
kind of spread out sets where it's like a back
and it's five offensive linemen, and teams so far have
found ways to stress their protection rules. They put Ashton
Genty in compromising situations. He's a young player and so
I think when you look at this offensive line, obviously
(26:21):
Colson Millers are probably top i'd say seventeen ish kind
of offensive tackle, right, like good, good player, not great player,
Jackson powers Johnson good player, not a great player.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
But the rest of the guys in the offensive line
are fairly i'd kind.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Of like average to below average. Yeah, And I think
you can really get after him. You can stress their rules,
you can create pressures, and I think that's something that
after watching the Giants Week one versus the Commander's defensive line,
this feels like a group that you could kind of manipulate, yeah,
and get back to some of that pressure stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Good matchups, right, Like I think.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
About like Dorin's armstrong on you know, Dylan Parham the
guard for them, and I'm like, that's a matchup that
I like for us, right, Or you know a power
Rushaurant cul sim he's very athletic, yeah, but he's six',
ten has a hard time. Betting get a Power rushaurant.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
With your shortest in and over. There let him.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Work AND i look at, THAT i, said there will
be an opportunity to kind of a manipulate, protections like
with your your patterns you're. Bringing, yeah and then ALSO
i think there's a lot of good opportunities to win
one on. One so To fred's, point this feels like
a game where you could get back on track because
the one thing About, GINO i Think gino is a. Baller,
yeah he is incredibly, aggressive almost to a. Fault, Yeah
LIKE i think we saw that last night when you
(27:31):
watch that, game like he is trying to force that
thing into title window.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Throws so, YEAH i think the pressure rate will go
up this.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
GAME i Think gino will give you, opportunities AND i
think he's gonna be not afraid to make Those Titan windo.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Throws you just got to capitalize on that.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Balls and, YEAH i.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Think the pressure rate goes up for two. Reasons you said.
That the leak in the offensive. Lineman, yeah you know
Where gino is gonna be. It he's a pocket. Pass
plus the threats on the, outside they don't really have
them Beside Jacoby.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Mayers they got some vertical. Juice we'll talk About norton
can get Deep thornton and Then.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Trey tucker is the other. Guy they're both four three. Guys,
yeah and you feel. Them but like in the game last,
night they just were, like we're gonna play over.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Top and force you to run. Routes and the other thing.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
That goes into this, too WHICH i think is important to,
recognize is they haven't beneficient running the. FOOTBALL i Think
Asha dentes ran well, yesterday like physical, downhill ran, tough
but he's his yards before contact is basically like negative. One,
yeah so they're in bad down and distant. Situations gino's
throwing the football more so if you can follow that,
MODEL i think the turnover think can definitely flipping.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
It And i'm not trying to hold this against, him
BUT i saw a couple of times where HE errd
and they took him out the game because he hit
the wrong way a couple of.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Times so, yeah he.
Speaker 6 (28:39):
Did you, know being, young you have to travel And
i'm sure each week he's probably going to get better
just knowing this is new.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Fun but when the crowd noise in no which stadium
won't make it.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
Easy when you have a young guy out there, thinking you,
know that's the. Worst that's the worst place to be
in as a player period to be thinking. Overthinking, yeah
you're not want to think, long you think wrong.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Sports, yeah all, right what's what's your? Name rits And?
Grave oh.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Oh ash.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
G we just kind of talk about him a little,
bit so just to kind of piggyback on. THAT i
THINK i see him make mistakes in. PROTECTION i see
him make mistakes in some of the run stuff like
you're talking. About but he is no doubt talented, dude
dicker THAN i.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Thought he's a powerful right he's.
Speaker 5 (29:30):
He looked like not how he looks, now but FORMER
u c l a guy when Drones.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Ju first came, Out like you, said not how he LOOKS.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
I was, like this dude dick from the toe.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Up, like SO i got SO i went TO i
went to college with, him, right so he'd come back
and so he was always like one hundred and ninety,
five two hundred and five, pounds big guy right, like
but he's five. Six he's like bodybuilder jack you.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Know What i'm.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Saying and and so he Went jacksonville came back that
offseason and was Like i'm talking.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Like study like stage, ready and he was like two.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Fifteen he had to get his pants specially thick because
his legs were so.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Thick, yeah AND i just was, like what did you,
like what did you do what? Happened he, Goes, OH
i just been eating.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
McDonald's i was just like eating the wrong, shit.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
And that's what.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
It just had McDonald's for three squares a day and
put on looked like ten pounds of.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
Muscle, yeah but, listen WHEN i seen him for the first,
time it's like this muscle.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Hamster, like how AM i supposed to get him on the?
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Ground he used TO i remember he used to crack.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Like he used to wear an Old adam's helmet and
so in practice people to try to tackle him and
he'd be so low he would just split his helmet
right down the middle and then they just bopp went.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
Out, yeah So jents is not. MEAN i don't think
he's that, thick but he. Is he he had a little.
Thick he got a little something on.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Him he could.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Twirk that's How i'm. Saying so.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
THICK i think the thing, is then how does our
defense contain? Him BECAUSE i, like you gotta after watching last,
NIGHT i.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Thought week one he. Struggled, yeah last that's.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
TIME i.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Thought you saw the broken tackle rate go, up the contact,
balance the things that made him good in college shark
to come to the. Forefront so as our, defense you
know With ken Law, Pain, bobby is there something they
can do to make sure that he can crock BECAUSE
i do think Like ken Law pain on the. Interior yeah,
again LIKE i said, previously his yards were contacts basically like,
(31:21):
zero and he's got to make all this creative. Stuff
can they continue to do that our?
Speaker 6 (31:24):
Defense they don't have to text him as a group
to say we've we've got a dose of what the
dude name is?
Speaker 4 (31:29):
From from The giant scattlect a battle.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Book he to, me they run the Same they're not
the same, Player But i'm, saying like when it comes
to breaking, tackles that's WHAT i.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Mean so we got a dose of that. Already you
know what's?
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Crazy he was in college number one broken tackle, rate
ash gent number two broken tackle.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
Rate, yeah, yeah most.
Speaker 6 (31:47):
Definitely When i'm watching, Them i'm, like they got that
same kind of like, ah you know behind their, run you,
know and we saw that in week. One, yeah so
now you got you coming with your mindset, ready Like
i'm not hitting him.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
High i'm gonna make sure you got to tackle as.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
A group like they exceled with one on one, Tackling
like when you try to tackle these guys by, yourself
you will. Fail you will Feel but when it's three of,
us two of us tackling him at one, time.
Speaker 6 (32:12):
A guy a guy like, THAT i picture myself in
my old corner. Days IF i see a guy THAT
i know gonna bring that thunder to, Me i'm cutting
him so. Low i'm gonna be cutting the grass. Low
i'm making sure his feet come off the. Ground so
now if you, near you're finna get a great hit on.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Him you know WHAT i.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
Mean so that's why WHEN i watch the, GAME i
get so frustrated. CORNERBACKS i get frustrated WHEN i see
them trying to take on hits or take on tackles
when they know they should be going, low like go
out the, last because you got to get a guy
to stop his feet if he stop his feet any
second any, way by picking them up or or having
to do something that gives the other guys a chance
(32:50):
to do what they do, best so they get.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
Him before they get started. With that's What logan was talking.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
About his rate before the before like before, contact he
can contact in the.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Backfield he was crazy watching that game yesterday because it's
like that was a that was an amazing two yard, Run,
like oh he made, that, dude Miss it's a nice,
cut head down run.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
That let's go play football AND i can Get.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
AND i think a little bit of it is like
the schematic thing like there are in these light. Sets
they're doing a lot of. RPOs there's a lot of
penetration and a lot of free. Runners And i'm kind of, like,
SO i don't think they're going to change on a short.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
WEEK i Think Jip kelly would never.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Change BUT i, think like you, got we definitely have
like kin, law in a one on one has to win,
it paid in a one on one has to win.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
It we have to.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Penetrate Bobby, wagner great, tackleer get down, here make.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
It frank has to get down.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Here that's Who i've been waiting to get down, Here
LIKE i just want him to get down.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Here, yeah, Absolutely so good, player young make a mistakes
like you're talking about. TEN i think that's a great
point by. You but a guy that you have to
definitely gang tackle, on the defense has to continue penetrating
to keep him from getting.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Going what we Got tanny wonder all that ice you?
Speaker 6 (33:54):
Want, yeah, Well i'm a row seven and you know
he's been up and now So i'm gonna roll it
seven the first.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
Time nine.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Nine it's From, yeah He.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
COUNTY i grew up with his mom and his.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Dad.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Yeah stop it Really.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Jeremiah his, nephew Right? Smith, yeah mine, guy so Jeene O.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
SMITH i think he might be the most underrated quarterback
in THE.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Nfl, yep because of you know what THE nfl is
not forgiving of when they draft you high and you
don't instantly. Hit if you ain't instant, grits they don't
they don't respect, you like like Like Baker. Mayfield baker
got taking number, one shortly went around to a couple
of team three, teams finally found his niche and. Temper
(34:43):
still don't Get baker the, touchdown make of the love
that he. Deserves so it's that scar the scarlet letter
that you had to wear when in THE nfl if
they say you're supposed to be there and you not
that right. Now and that's What gino. Was he was
not instant. GOOD i think he needed. TIE i think
also to Watching geno play the other. Night you know
it wasn't a good, game but it just it to.
(35:05):
ME i WAS i was kind of like taking back
a little bit.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
Just to know that he's, Fresh like he looks like
a younger guy to be as old as. He, yeah
be a guy that been in this league for so.
Long AND i listened to one of. THEM i forgot
who was the commentator. Was he spoke to him and
he was talking to him about, like you, know how
is he able to you, know sustain that that Health
and he was, like, well think ABOUT i didn't play as,
much so now you know his legs are.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Fresher he's not one of those guys.
Speaker 6 (35:30):
Yea and we all know backup quarterbacks they, are you,
know they they have the.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
Best job in this league.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Job so when you're sitting back watching and learning from
guys and also taking care of your, health you, know
BECAUSE i mean you see guys how they they able
to you, know nutrition and just you, know finding the
people that's going to be able to reserve.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Him you, KNOW i think he did a great job at.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
That and you see the arm, STILL i mean that
ball is coming out of his hand at a rate
that you you don't normally see a guy who's been
in this league that. Long so he's a guy that
can sling it he's a guy that don't get him
no confidence because he will show, you you, know better
than he can tell.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
You he will.
Speaker 6 (36:05):
Unleash BUT i love the fact that we have on
tape seeing him have a difficult game like. That now
you're not think he's going there and, Say, okay these
are some of the things that we think we can
do to make him happen a second Weekend row with
that kind of.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Performance and that's really interesting point BECAUSE i was, like,
yeah like this is a good, format but it's not
really what the commanders have.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Done you.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Know it's like this match quarters. Coverage you, know some
people call it cover five Or cover seven where it's
got these man principles in zone like we played Man,
yeah you, know so it'd be interesting to see If
joe too much some. Time, yeah but If joe What
junior takes some of, that it says, like, oh we
can maybe get.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Something we could take the running game.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Out we could play a lot of two men and
they could really hang him, up like we play a
lot of man, Under like they could Take brock virals
at the.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Game they could take a lot of like.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
But you you're a man under, guy like if you're
a defensive cordnerator you'd call man under any. Time it's a, suggestion,
suggestion what do you?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Say?
Speaker 5 (36:58):
Man first of, all WHEN i WHEN i heard that
call come in the, GAME i used to just turn
to the cry because it's a playmaking defenseful. Corners do
you remember certain And Sam madison And mammi they played
two men and they led THE nfl in interception every
(37:20):
year that they played, it And Jason taylor laid the
league in. Sacks they just understood how and they you're
never scratched as a.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
Corner think about.
Speaker 5 (37:30):
This If i'm Pressing satanna and he beat me off the,
LINE i don't.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
Care my job is to be out there for to.
Way and then WHAT i don't want to. See i'm
glad we brought that up is teams starting to see.
That Oh Green bay came with a great scheme and
game plan for this. Man we're gonna bring guys in,
motion that guys runningrom across field and then find these
ways to set these picks and set these. Messages so
that's what you got to worry about, too WHICH i,
(37:53):
know like we're sitting talking about. It those guys they,
Working they have to go to you, know be the
ones that you know designed these. Things so we have
to always take that in consideration, too that teams are
going to say this is what they don't do well
and come with that kind of game. Plan so we
have to find a way to get out of or
show them something that they saw before different and play something.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Different the thing is they haven't really done.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Again it's a pretty static picture From, Chip, like you,
Know Chip, kelly it's not like a ton of motion
or so it'll be interesting to your point if they're,
like let's just do what they, did get into some different.
Speaker 5 (38:22):
STUFF i was shocked at The raiders didn't do tempo
because that's that's kind Of Chip kelly hasn't.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Been calling Card Ohio, state so it's, like.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
Yeah SO i think maybe that's what he's taken out
of HIS dna because he felt, like if you can
Ruin Deshaun, Jackson Michael, vick And LaShaun.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
McCard he, said ruin ruined. Them that's What Chip kelly.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Did he was the other guy From, missouri the.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
Receiver oh oh, MAN i.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Know but if you can ruin that, group you can ruin.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
Anybody SO i think he's omitted THAT i think he's
looked at hisself and, said you know, WHAT i need
to take.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
This it don't work in the.
Speaker 6 (38:57):
Pro BUT i also would, say, man that one year
that that lady McCoy tow us, UP i was, like,
please somebody just throwing them throwing the tower or something.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Like they.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
Was they was killing us offensive but they ain't have the,
ball but two or three plays they were scoring like.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
That.
Speaker 6 (39:14):
YEAH i, mean so you know when you look at
how he was then and you try to, say, okay
do you see anything similar now in his his way
of coaching or you, know scheming up, THINGS i haven't
seen it, yet you. KNOW i mean it's, slow it's
slow down at at a huge. Pace because they was.
Going they was one of them teams WHERE i was
tired watching, them you know WHAT i. Mean they was
not getting into a. Huddle they was lining up attack, attack.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Attack.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Yeah, Yeah So Gino smith in this in this Ship kelly,
OFFENSE i think underrated. Player it's, interesting like the, state
they're putting a lot of pressure on him to do
the right thing and make these big time. Throws BUT
i think he's very. Capable SO i think we got To,
yeah because it's gonna.
Speaker 6 (39:52):
Be any, sneaky and he's sneaky when it comes to
getting outside the pocket running, Too so he's not a guy, that,
yeah he would.
Speaker 4 (39:58):
Run so you see what YOU i know you have
never been to a casino in your.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
LIFE i played a lot of board games with my.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
Kids all.
Speaker 6 (40:05):
Right we Got terry mc birthday, week birthday boy yesterday
or two days.
Speaker 4 (40:12):
Ago, Thirty, yeah thirty on the, dot.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
Yep on the young Thirty terry McLaurin thirteen, targets seventy
five yards thirty seven point five yard average per.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
Game, yeah zero. Touchdowns so that last YEAR.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
I can say sounds about rights that on. THEM i,
mean not even not even.
Speaker 6 (40:31):
That it's just a simple fact that where he was
at last year and had those numbers and where he
was at this year now and have those same similar.
Numbers so you, know WHEN i look At, terry the
first thing THAT i told you that is before he
even you, know he. Signed that's the only THING i
was worried, about mostly just hoping that he can hear
him but, sign just knowing you. Don't you don't want
(40:51):
to miss that time build on that. Callus you know
that the chemistry players you want to build a callous
of practicing your, body filling those, reps your, body going
through the getting back up and saying, okay, YEAH i
feel like, this BUT i still got to go out
there and and right NOW i think he's probably going
to go through that, now you, know while while, playing
he's got to go through. That and that's the that's
(41:12):
the worst time you want to feel like that because
you can see in the, receiver, man you need your,
legs and that time watching him, like, okay he's still
getting them legs because you see him slipp a couple
of times here and. There So i'm not, worried you
know when it comes to, him BECAUSE i feel like
he's a he's a, pro he's a guy that's going
to get it. DONE i just want to, see you,
know each week the progression of him just continue to build,
(41:33):
on you know the miss. Time you, know it ain't.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
Nothing i'm SICK i guessing about he gonna get there
when you get. There AND i think just like last,
year was it week, three the sincin that, game then he,
said you know, What i'm. Back, YEAH i think he'll
do the same thing this. Year this is week.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Three, YEAH i, agree with you.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
Guys AND i think this the secondary For. Oakland there's
a lot of. Error, Yeah AND i think we got
to good opportunity for some some good.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
Area you Think Jeremy chen gonna be sharing a lot
of information about how.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
We like to do things name probably throw.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Around probably he's a big. Dude now he's like playing
true safe for. Them All, right now we're before we
get onto our next. Segment we got another ad read
here and It's West Virginia.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
Tourism let's see what you, got all.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Right, team listen. Up the countdown's on for the ultimate
fall show down In West. Virginia leaves are switching jerseys
from green to.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Gold ready to light up the.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
Hillside if you want the best seat in the house
for the end of season Spent, spectacular it's time to
hit up the country's. Road to hit up the country
roads and make your move To West virginia for some
serious leaf. Peeping don't drop the ball on this, One West,
Virginia West.
Speaker 5 (42:42):
Virginia don't you know this song was not even made
In West. Virginia Take Me, Home West. Virginia, no it
was made In, Hagerstown. Maryland, wow that's close To West.
Virginia yeah it is down the, street.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
But they made it driving Through.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
Hagerstown all, Right well there's your fun fact about that song's,
yeah what's the country?
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Roads there's a fun fact about ConTroll right?
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Now?
Speaker 1 (43:05):
Onto hell yeah or hell?
Speaker 2 (43:09):
No that was really?
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Good all, Right So jason said me some questions this real? Quick,
Okay Josh connery will have his best game Versus Max,
Crosby hell yeah or.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Hell it gotta happen against some top of the line Pro.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Alright the one THING i can say WHEN i WHEN
i hear the word Next, crosby ALL i see is
a little, nightmare AND i see. Relentlessness he's just, relentless.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
Like because he's a nightmarish.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
Guy What i'm saying IS i Need connery to succeed beating.
Him you have to be, relentless meaning you got to
play to the whistle every place because he's not going
to ever.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Stop you need to understand.
Speaker 5 (43:52):
This this won't be a guy that just come out
here and he's just physically mortalented than. You he's just
a guy that refused to take no for a damn,
answer and you're gonna have to do. That so this
is more mental to me mentality than it is talent.
Wise So i'm, going hell, yeah stand, Up. Cunny i've
seen you in the grocery store the other. DAY i
(44:13):
got you.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
BACK i, say hell, yeah just for the same of
fact that he's dealing with a guy that might that
might Be you don't get me, Wrong, Cross he's one
of those GUYS i don't want to see none of
our guys go.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
Against but when it.
Speaker 6 (44:22):
Comes to just his size, Alone i'd rather deal with
him being that he's he's somebody that you can he's,
lit hands, on, yeah you know WHAT i. Mean he's,
long he's, tall he's, massive AND i Believe connolly will probably,
fail you, know be a be a little better with
that kind of than A michael than A. Michael Michael
parter was too explosive to to, jittery like you couldn't
keep up.
Speaker 4 (44:41):
TWITCH i Mean twitch is all out.
Speaker 6 (44:43):
Doors so knowing That crosby is one of those guys
you don't want to be fooling around, WITH i still
would say hell, yeah just knowing that it has to
click sooner or.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Later, YEAH i kind of feel the same.
Speaker 3 (44:51):
WAY i.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Think you, Know crosby was watching all his rushes from this.
Year watch a couple from like the last four or
five games last. Year he's a he's a. Technic he's
a technician when it comes to, rushing he's very locked.
In but he doesn't have the elite Power Michael parsons,
has and so you're really setting for basically his double
wipers and then his changeup pitch is his long arm.
Step so if you can kind of minimize, it settle
(45:14):
in and AGAIN i Think, fred you hit the nail
on the head like. That none of those moves are too, complicated.
Right he is just going to run and pursue until
the echo of the whistle every single.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Time so he had two.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Pressures Against Morgan, moses Former washington, commander and both of
Them mo's in a good, spot hits the wiper and
just absolutely runs Down Drake may for a sac. Right
and the other thing WHERE i think he shows up
quite a bit is in the run, game kind of
jumping out of gaps and jumping around, stuff timing up snap.
Count so he's going to be a, challenge BUT i
do think like he's not throwing as many pitches right
(45:51):
now as Some Brian burns.
Speaker 5 (45:54):
Is Abdua cauda he's the athletic profile is.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Different it's, different totally.
Speaker 4 (45:59):
Different all.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Right SO i think we all said hell y'all on that,
one AND i think this is a good opportunity for
him to get right, Right Bill Crossky merritt will lead
the team and carries hell, y'all hell, no hell.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
YEAH i THINK i think you can only keep a
dog on the shelf for so long Before it's, like
every time we put him on the, field he proves us.
Right and if you keep proving them, right especially when
you got this void left By, eckler all, right somebody
got to step in and, SAY i feel it, Somebody
(46:31):
AND i think.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
The team is gonna give every back a. CHANCE i
think they're.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
Gonna Get riggans a chance. TOO i think they're gonna
get McNichols a chance. Too but guess what if one
guy has proven BESIDES jd five THAT i can break
game breaking, runs it has.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
Been, bill and at one, point why not lean on?
Speaker 6 (46:51):
Him, YEAH i look at it like, this it's gonna
be up to. HIM i want to, say hell, yeah
BECAUSE i know the kind of back he can be
with the ball in his. Hands we saw him last. Week,
man it seemed like he was getting four pop every
time he had the. Chance but then we also saw
him in the passing game where it didn't seem like
it was clicking the, same you know WHAT i, Mean
jade and. Missed i'm not sure that Was jaden fought
that his, fault but we saw that also in week,
(47:12):
one and Then i'm not sure WHAT i saw when
it came to the pass protection part of. It so
if he can BE i guess you can say a
back that can do all those things full time, back
then they would give them more responsibility or give him
more chances to. Run Now rodrigue is getting there and
mc nicholas getting there and show that they're more worthy
of those, spots.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Then they might. Be it might be one of.
Speaker 6 (47:34):
Those situations where they all get equal amount of shares
of you, know to carry the. Ball but LIKE i,
said when he has that ball in his, hand, THOUGH i,
mean it's nobody better to me right now on our.
TEAM i feel like he just had the, explosiveness he,
has the, vision he has everything run so valid as
a running back AND i would want to see him get.
More that's why he has to get better in those
other categories for him to have more.
Speaker 4 (47:55):
Carries nice nice.
Speaker 1 (47:56):
One AND i think obviously you mentioned the pass. PROTECTION
i think you. Do you can put it was in
that role and he can kind of take the first
and second down stuff or however they want to allocate.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
It SO i Think i'm gonna.
Speaker 4 (48:06):
Go and, say hell, no you.
Speaker 6 (48:09):
Don't think he's just BECAUSE i don't know if he's
ready for Those LIKE i, SAID i only saw two.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
Weeks, word because it really comes out of trust with. Them,
Yeah AND i think like as a, runner there's no
doubt he deserves.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
It but he.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
DEFINITELY i think this is something that like my dad
will ask me. About it's, like, oh, hey you, know
like why is he get more? Touches and it's like
it's running back Running the ball is a part of,
it the past, protection it's the other. Stuff how you're
setting stuff. Up you just talked about asking gents how
he got benched for portions of the game last night
because he's making mental. Mistakes So i'm not Saying bill's doing,
that but, like how much Does Anthony lennon this coaching
(48:41):
staff trust him to get that.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
Done i'm gonna say hell.
Speaker 5 (48:43):
Yeah i'm gonna say hell, yeah because it's nothing like
the guy in front of me got. Injured my team
needs more from. Me it was like before it was
like whatever to the. Team now it's, like, okay they need.
Me SO i just think that alone said it just
(49:05):
rings along with.
Speaker 6 (49:06):
Him but the reason WHY i say hell na is
because you think about a guy who got opportunity after
opportunity and still didn't get. Opportunity and now he gets the,
opportunity and that's In. Rodrigus if he put those pass,
on do you trust me when he get a carry this,
week don't be surprised if this guy looks just like
he looked in the. Preseason he's gonna because now it's
(49:29):
his real chance to really show. Man look, Here i'm
not coming out of this game no. More, YEAH i
understand what you, Know bill can, brain which we all
want to see. That we want to see both of.
Those SO i just feel like we're Having rodriguez with the.
Opportunity he's going to show enough for the coaches, say hey,
man we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna do a little
thunder enlightening with these.
Speaker 4 (49:47):
Guys you know WHAT i? Mean they have, that they
have the they have that.
Speaker 6 (49:49):
Ability to be a great duo or or or a
trio with mc nicholas being back.
Speaker 4 (49:54):
There so, OH i.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Also think it's important note for whatever, Reason Las vegas
has got a great job stopping the run against doing
and against The, chargers.
Speaker 4 (50:03):
And The charges can run the, ball.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
And they're very.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
Physical they're, Downhill they're linebackers are physical. Downhill So i'm
not really it'll be interesting to see how much of
the game plan that, is because to, me it's like
when you look at the secondary, Structures i'm, like, man
there's a.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
Lot of air. Man we'll. See so we'll.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
See But i'm gonna, say hell yeah for this, week
and maybe it's maybe it leads the team with ten,
touches BUT i think of the backs will probably get
the most. Touches, okay all, right there will be at
least five plays over twenty yards and twenty eight plus.
Points hell, yeah hell, no that's a lot of. Points
Just i've been saying that's a lot of.
Speaker 5 (50:34):
Points but if you're gonna get twenty eight, points you
probably need four or five big, plays.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
Right, Yeah, no that's a great point FOR i just think.
Speaker 5 (50:41):
They correlate towards each, other so let's say let's say.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
We get twenty eight.
Speaker 5 (50:45):
Points, yeah do you think it's gonna be the steady
drill twenty eight? Points that it's gonna be these EXPLOSIVE i.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
THINK i, mean you hit the nail on the, head
like eighty percent of like, Offensive it's, what there's some crazy.
Number it's like if you haven't explosive, play fifty percent
likely or fifty five percent likely the score.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Touchdown.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Yeah so like, obviously like there there's a strong correlation.
Here AND i think even last, year you, know what
do we do on these long? Drives the only times
when we did was when there's an explosive.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
Check.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Yeah so, AGAIN i just mentioned that The Las VEGAS
i Said oakland earlier that The Las vegas defense uh
is pretty good Against. Roun, yeah there's a lot of
they're pretty poorous of the.
Speaker 5 (51:22):
Past and guess what we've, said this is gonna be
the week That tierry comes uh turns Into.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
Tyry all, right so they go two explosives right.
Speaker 5 (51:30):
There all, right let's say uh.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Uh let's Say erch has one of those.
Speaker 5 (51:38):
Plays all, right let's say be all crosskey, Marriage i'm
breaking some one From.
Speaker 6 (51:42):
Ford i'm gonna cut you off and just say hell,
yeah just for the simple fact IS i think we
got a guy who is really finna jump out jump
off the charts with just seeing two weeks of performance from,
him AND i JUST i feel Like deebo, man it's
what he, brings the element that he brings To.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
Just give him.
Speaker 6 (51:56):
One they go five, right just, ALWAYS i mean just
from kick return to the to the when when when
he has the ball in his, Hand, man this guy,
becomes he becomes somebody. Unstoppable so he he alone could
get you two of.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
Those you know What i'm. Saying that's a point and
get to we're working on six right.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
Now, yeah SO i guess, YEAH i go.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
Ahead, Yeah AND i Get the other thing THAT i
can't get over is this is a tough turn For Las.
Speaker 4 (52:21):
Vegas, yeah it's.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
Tough like they're they're Playing monday, night they're flying out.
Here it's just like to fly here With. Friday, hey
cry me a.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
RIVER i DON'T i don't feel sorry for, you But i'm.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
Saying like they're gonna have heavy, legs they're gonna be
a little bit banged. UP i just think it's gonna.
Speaker 6 (52:36):
Is it easier to come to The East coast and,
play or go to The West coast and like be
on The east coast and go to The.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
WEST i THINK i think they're equally as.
Speaker 6 (52:44):
Hard but always wanted that because we was ALL i
was always The East coast team AND i had to
go to The West.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
COAST i wonder day one has major.
Speaker 5 (52:51):
Elevation all, Right let's just say If I'm denver going To,
MIAMI i don't feel.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
Good, yeah, yeah that's always like it's, heavy it's heavier,
oxygen all, right BUT i From.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
Carolina there's less. Oxygen.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Yeah From, CAROLINA i don't like going To, seattle you.
Know so IT'S i think all of them comes with.
Speaker 6 (53:12):
Their now JUST i was just wondering how that whole
transition is going to be, fun just knowing it was
A monday night.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
Game, yeah you know you.
Speaker 6 (53:19):
You normally Don't monday night and that you ain't doing
nothing tonight None tuesday like, that and then you, know
then you gotta Go. Wednesday then you got to get
Ready thursday to kind of have like that quick. Walkthrough
it's type of you, know practice to get ready For friday,
trip you know WHAT i. Mean SO i just always,
wondered you, know would it be easier for. Them they're
probably gonna do a lot of walk through in this week,
(53:39):
period you know WHAT i, Mean just get those guys
kind of held.
Speaker 1 (53:42):
Up, yeah we should be re nice and fresh relatively
you know What i'm, saying relatively.
Speaker 4 (53:45):
Speaking as fresh as you can be at this.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Time.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
Yeah and so last, question, interesting we haven't talked about
this at, all is can we win no matter what
If jaden Or marcus is.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Playing, yes we.
Speaker 4 (53:54):
Can't, yeah we.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
Can't.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
Think so we haven't talked a lot about The jade.
Injury it's because we're recording the.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
Show because and we don't know.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Yet, yeah we don't.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
Know we won't know till we get to, drift Don't
SO i, Think, YEAH i Think marcus showed last year like.
This we've never seen him in an offense like this
in his, career and we saw what look like last
year and dude fauled.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Out yeah you, know.
Speaker 5 (54:13):
Yeah AND i love our other backup just like he
reminds me his body, tight just LIKE jd, Five like
if you see him from, behind sometimes you don't even
know who's who, sometimes like almost a t MOVE jd.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Five SO i.
Speaker 4 (54:29):
Take, YEAH i think we're.
Speaker 6 (54:29):
CAPABLE i think one of the things That marioda brings
is just a his, calmness not the, calmness but just
being a, vet you know WHAT i, mean just being
a guy that's seen so much, football he's been in,
it you. Know And i'm telling, you like when WHEN
jd went, down that was, again, no not in Dabtass, Carolina,
Carolina AND i was just sitting up. THERE i was
(54:52):
you didn't want to see me in? That SWEET i was.
Done and THEN i Saw marioda again And i'm, like,
WELL i ain't seen This mariota Since, oregon you know
WHAT i. Mean so so just to know that we
have a guy that's capable of kind of leading these, guys,
man you always kind of kind of rest assured, That,
okay we can trust in this guy to getting in
there and get the job.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Done.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
Yeah, NO i think that's absolutely. Right and so, yeah
a lot of confidence In. MARIOTA i, mean we don't
know If jame's gonna play or, not LIKE i just,
said but if he's, playing.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Feel good about that.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Too so, OVERALL i feel pretty good about this matchup,
anything you. Know that's that's it for hell, yeah hell,
not anybody have any closing thoughts?
Speaker 3 (55:23):
Before, no, no, no, NO i just think it's gonna be
a good.
Speaker 5 (55:25):
Week, fans step back off that, ledge all, right relax
right and watch this team. Mature IF i could ask
you to do, anything like watch this team mature like
