getting made, some players not getting made.

We have a sighting of a Logan post in Jersey, right.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeahl Jersey man.

it's actually a pulse in Jersey.

A couple of eighty two's.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's been good players for this team though, Logan, I
mean just randomly illing you.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
But I always think about it, like that's the one
that I always get. Like when I was out, like
even though I was playing, I'd see like Antoine Randall Jersey.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know what, I had that same jersey Linger, if
you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
When I twenty one, I used to look at the
stands and sometime it was a d on jersey.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Sometime it was made.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
You had some really good like Dion Chante, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
So yeah, so a lot of people vote to Jersey,
so it made it hard to know if it was
your jersey or not.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Absolutely, And I'm you gotta put this out there. I'm

a party until Fred show up.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
He does.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
He does have that energy to him, right, like the
ability to get that all right, And then we're gonna

Speaker 2 (03:25):
We really do appreciate. The next thing, and.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Maybe the most important thing is the Commander's tickets, right,
Commander's tickets.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, QR code vote like you're gonna you're gonna go

Speaker 1 (03:54):
And also week one right say, Tan of mass is
getting inducted in the ring effense is right? So why
not buy tickets for that game game to support you
with that QR code right there? And then obviously if
you want stadium news, visit the website. I don't have
the email on here.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
And is that first game that's the Giants?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Right?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
It is the Giants?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, I tell you what that front we go. We
gonna know what line is about after that game. It's
gonna be a test that a dual carter you got,
triple do, you got Dixon loans, you got That's gonna
be a test of all tests for Laramie Tumsel. Cunningly
the rest of these guys called me.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
It's gonna be a test.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Absolutely definitely gonna be a game to watch.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I think maybe most importantly, and I didn't know this
until we started prepping for the show. Everyone says Ten
is a Cowboy killer, but he's the Eagles skill.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
He's the Eagles killer.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
No. No, he's the guy that put the crack in
the Liberty Bill.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
He's the guy that went to.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Philadelphia and said, this is no longer the capitol of
the United States. We're taking it to Washington, d C.
In Washington, d C is the capital of the United
you have.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
More touchdowns agains.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
And I'm just laughing at what he talking about. Man,
he got he got a he got a slogan for
every damn thing. But I didn't know that though. Looking
to get back at it, No, I didn't know that.
But you know, when you're playing, you.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Don't be knowing what you doing.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Man.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
You know you gotta you're putting up stats. You don't know.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
The only reason why you know when it comes to
the Cowboys stuff is because you know cowboys. It's obvious
when when you do what you did in five and
then every time you get ready to play those guys,
it was almost like whatever coach was here, hey, you
ready to Tanne, Like it was almost like in their
head that this is the game. We gotta make sure
Tannert gets off. So but I never knew. I never

(05:36):
knew I had that many touchdowns against the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
I mean it's pretty wild, right because you.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Didn't do you recall all the dbs you played? Did
you played against Leto and Sheldon Brown? I remember Leedo, Sheldon.
I don't even know the names, you know, man, I know,
but I know you played against Troy. Did you play
against Troy Vincent and Boy Benson, Troyto.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
And Sheldon Brown? Numbde Austin Waugh.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Who was at the Numdie Sante Samuels have to say,
I remember Santi. Me and Zant played against each other
too when I was in New York, so I remember
him from playing in New England.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
So I'll pro bowl Conan when you play against.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Philadea, Yeah, yeah, yeah talent, And I will say this,
you know, like Tanna doesn't really keep track of his stats,
you know, like not like you're around Tanna for five seconds.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
You know how humble a guy is.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
But getting inducted into the Ring of Fame for the
Commanders is pretty exciting because you're amongst like elite airon right,
you're with Art Monk, Gary Clark, Charlie Taylor, your third interceptions,
your fourth in yards, your seventh TDS. You played ten
seasons with the Washington Commanders. I mean, Tanna, like, I
don't think I ever heard you talk about wanting to

(06:44):
get into the Ring of Fame, But like, what does
it mean to you to be in that group of
people now that you're getting this opportunity.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
I mean, that's a great question, man, And it's crazy
because people come to you all the time, like, you know,
Smooth No first hand, like my friends they had like
him when it comes.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
To sports and stats.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Just having the knowledge of you know, who is who
or where do you fall into the line, you know,
when it comes to players, and those guys spit out
stuff all the time about college Hall of Fames and
you know, Pro Bowls and just hall of Fame period.
And I'm sitting there, I'm looking at these guys like
I actually play, and it don't come to mind.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I care less about it.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
But one of the things you do as a player,
you put the work in so you can be recognized
one day amongst the greats. And I think that's if
any guy say that he just played to play football
he's a lie. I played to play because that was
my childhood dream. But I also put the work in
because one day I want to be considered one of
those guys on the list somewhere that said, well when

(07:50):
this guy was here, he did his thing, and this
is why you know what I mean. So to actually
get recognized for it, bro, it's the great.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
It's one of my greatest feelings ever.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Higg's thing. Brother.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
We didn't walked on they feel out of their tunnel.
Many times together we didnet, looked around, read all the names.
Last time we was in that stadium, your name was
not up there. The next time we walk in that stadium.
Yea for a real game, Yeah, a regular season game,
it's gonna be there. Your name gonna be there forever.

(08:21):
How how like surreal? It's dead, Like your name gonna
be there long after you gone. Your name ain't gonna
be up there, and it ain't before y'all wide receivers
Art Monk, Gary Clark, Charlie Taylor, and Santana Moss.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
How surreal is that? Man?

Speaker 5 (08:39):
Hey, I'm gonna tell you like this, I know how
it felt yesterday. I don't even want to think about
how I'm gonna feel that day.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Bro, Like I said, I didn't.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
I almost felt like I didn't even know what was
going on yesterday. I mean, I haven't felt out about
it about the experience.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
Like when I tell you, man, like, Bro, you know,
I walk around this thing, Man, I'm always confident. Like
you say, Man, I don't. I'm not gonna tell you
I'm humble. But that's that's my you know, that's just me.
That's who I am. So whatever you get from me,
that's who I am. So when it comes to asking
for something, you know, I don't want like asking people
for nothing to actually get that kind of acknowledgement, Man,
to have people one look, I walk around and people

(09:21):
already cowboy killer eight to the nine.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
That's enough for me. But to honestly be honored in
that way in that fashion, Bro, I couldn't. I couldn't.
He trust me, you will not be the West Shades
on the day. You know I'm gonna win the shade
you mighty is fussy shit, I'm gonna wear them.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
I'm gonna hide them to you because I know they're
gonna be coming. I know I can't hide them because
they they're gonna be coming.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
They're gonna be coming.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Down, man coming.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
And I think it's interesting though, Tanna, because you never
talk about it, do you do? You always wanted to
leave that mark, you know what I'm saying, Like, and
it's so interesting because like you've never howurdly said it,
but it's something always in the back of your mind.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Well, the thing it was, it was never about the stats.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Say You've always been like even like like you've been
so processed driven, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
So they just interesting to hear you say, Like.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
I just never wanted look whether they had a list
or not. I wanted to always be remembered by my
my peers, my teammates.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
That oh that that was that boy, you know what
I mean, Like I care.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Less about where I landed it amongst the others, but
I wanted to make sure that when when we walked
off that field, you say, you got you're gonna you're
gonna say great things about eighty nine. And that's all
I always said. And that was my approach in high school.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
That was my approach in college, you know what I mean,
That was my approach when.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
I came into this leep.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
That's why when people ask me what was the experience
like when you came over from the Jets, Like how
how how was that? How was that different from your
experience when you played there? For you, I said, you
know what, I'm gonna tell you this. When I came
into the Jets as as a rookie, I didn't know
what to expect and then boom, I get hurt out
the gate. So I wanted I wanted a different experience
coming here and I and I want that off season

(11:00):
coming here. Yeah, it was one of my best off
seasons because I knew I wanted to make sure that
my teammates knew what they was getting.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
You wanted a new introduction to your new team, and
you wanted to be different than the situation that you
did in New York, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Fred, did you?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
I mean like, I have a bunch of stories from
when I played with Tanner, because like I got him
like what you were in your ten or eleven when
in twenty ten when I came out, I got a
ton of stories and he just kind of felt like
larger than life, you know what I mean, because you
grow up watching them, did you have any good stories
of Tanne?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Like, because you know, I'm his classmates.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
So it was like and somewhat I was a salesman
of Santana.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Because because he got routing you up or what.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
No, because when we was coming out, all the wire
receivers used to talk all this. They used to talk
to stuff, and I used to like humble him and
I used to be like, you ain't him, You ain't him,
You ain't him, like you ain't a wire receiver like
David Terrero used to talk trad It's not like, man,
you come to this and see we'll tell you up
like you can't you can't not run nobody like you
ain't saying tamnly like you ain't got this step like

(11:57):
did Freddie Millers have come talk to me. I'm a
bit small receiver in the league, and I'm like, nah,
you're really not like I got.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
I know a dude that just a lot of respect
for him.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
I have respect for him.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
In college, I study like I'm studying and I'm watching
him one step. People like, well he do a double move.
His double mood on't consist of three steps. His double
mood consists of two steps. He can he can break
that off in two steps when most dudes take four steps.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
So in his rap running. Usually this is what I say.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
If you get a guy's fast as Sata Tanna, he
can't stop like like this his achilles hell well Santana
is fast and quick. That's a dangerous combination. Man, that's
like mountain dew, right he drink that mountain dew.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
Or like a four loco or it's like what am
I getting myself into? It's one of them things.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
So if once you get in there washingt you understand
that he can do anything I want you to him.
Like I told any cornerback, if you're gonna play him,
play him top down, like, try not to let him
beat you. Then you gotta tackle though, but guess what
I read a tackling. They let him run past me.
You see what I'm saying, So you better have a
plan when you talk about a guy like that. And
usually with that type of speed, you don't have to

(13:10):
account for that because they not nuanced rap runners. Here
a nuanced rap runner, and that made it even harder
to stop.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
And just to get and just and I and I
and I appreciate that, but that's one of the things
that I always wanted to when guys go to comparing guys.
I'm like, bro, you can talk about my speed. And
I used to hate that in college when they was like, well,
he's just a speester. I'm like, if you're not seeing
what I'm doing in these guys out of my routes,
out of my breaks, That's what I I took more

(13:39):
proud in routing people up than really running past people.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
And so when I had that recognition from my peers,
because it was crazy. Was getting ready to play a
game two thousand and fourteen, okay, my last year here.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
We played. It was in Houston, Okay.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
And I'm out there pregame running routes, and first thing
I hear was.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Dray Johnson come over to me.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
He say, Man, the DB's like, bro, you see how
Tenna coming out of them comebacks. Then I go in
the locker room and I come back out and and
Drey told me this rout of the game. He say, Bro,
when them dB saw that you ain't have a uniform
on broke, that made their day. No, it was like
eighty nine ain't dressing. I ain't got a chase, ay
nine ain't dressing. So that let me know right then

(14:27):
and there they had respect. Yeah, I was in my
fourteen year and they still.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Was respecting my routes because what I can't do about spend.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
I know I went.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Fast and I wasn't brought to in my year year fourteen.
So that's what I always took pride in him.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
Man, I took pride in runners Chris sharp routes and
being able to show guys I'm not just a space.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
But but but speed guys don't think like that. Speed
guys like, man, the dude skid already, I'm just gonna run.
I'm gonna run past him.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
And if I don't run past him, I'll run a
short route and he won't be close to me.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Like they don't think about the nuance of a Why am.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I running this route? How am I said him up?
Like you thinking about I'm gonna set him up for
the next rap. I might catch this rap, but I'm
setting him up for the dino. I'm setting him up
for something later. And that's different for speed guys. Speed
guys don't think like that.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Yeah, And it's like talking about like so again one
of those memories that you have, like remember twenty ten,
it was like we were installing Slammer screen. I don't
know if you remember this, Santa and Slammer screen is
basically like it's like the receiver takes a one step up,
comes back a tax of football and the offensive line
gets out.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
And it just like a jail break screen.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
And I remember Kyle had a cutup of you running slammers.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Do you remember that.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, So she's going through these plays and he goes like,
you know, I've watched football since I could walk, and
my favorite player ever is Santana Moss. And so here's
like one of the best coaches that I've ever been around. Yeah,
talking about how tight he thought Santana was, and then
we just got to watch him be great for Like
I'm not kidding, it was like fifteen minutes of the
meeting of him just highlighting slammer screen. Touchdown, touchdown, touchdown.

(15:55):
And then on top of that, I have a very
specific memory of you in practice, and we were talkingalking
about running a hurricane concept. So it's like a deep
high cross post and then like a like a fifteen
yard sit and you can uncover if it's zone. And
this dude comes up there acts like he's running high
cross accelerates in the cut and like literally off of
one foot, like does like a broad jump, just a
pivo and catches himself and comes back out. I remember

(16:18):
sitting in the meeting room with like Cooley Sean McVay,
and Sean was basically like if I did that, I
would tear.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Every muscle in my leg. And it just he was
just built different.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
And then the cool thing about it was like he
never was He never like you never knew that he
was super cool, Like he just was cool.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
He never was like you know certain.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Guys you went Tai by the way, you can tell
there's dudes that'll tell you like I'm super cool. Tanner
was cool because he just was cool, Like he just
was awesome at what he did.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
I I have a sty Right when I came back
from Minnesota, I had broke my jaw.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
So it was the first way you broke your jaw
and you couldn't talk.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
I couldn't talk for forty five days. Oh my god, listen,
I couldn't talk for forty five days. And my mama
took care and she looked like when I say, she
talked so much trash to me, like it was one
of the things where I couldn't, like I couldn't win.
I had have broke up before, so I know, I
know the feeling, but I.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Feel like you're probably like making yourself sick.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Now, First of all, it was miserable for me, like
couldn't eat, couldn't talk, losing weight like it's miserable. And
I finally put the helmet back on and we come
for a minicamp. I'm back here now to seven. So
I go up against Town. I remember, yeah, and when
I put my helmet on, I ain't know that your
job messes with your balance.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
So when I put my ham on, I'm like that,
I'm kind of like, I ain't.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
I can't. And I stepped right up to him and
he literally burns past her right and loast.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Rogers on the side.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
You never won't loast Rogers on the sideline where you're
getting burned. So Lows is laughing at me, right. No,
this is the funny part about it. I don't think
I remember is when I turn around.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
You know it's a dB.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
When you get burned, its in slow motion to us, right,
So it is in slow motion, And this is what
I remember, Taylor putting them hands up in them, crooked fingers,
crooked figures. Just last can ever remember what he countable?
I'm gonna tell you this, thoughe and I'm glad he
remembered that because when Smooth came back here, remind you

(18:18):
we done played against each other in the game.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
But you know, when you're in the game, you're not
really thinking about the individuals, You're thinking about the whole.
Like I said, I never thought about individual DB's. I
always thought about the whole team. Yeah, because you're looking
at you got.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
To beat the cover.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
I'm trying to beat the courfaus. I'm not trying to
beat you unless you man the man. So I don't
know what it went off.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Instantly when we lined up, I said, oh, this joke
in here talk smack to me when we was coming
out about he gonna lock me up. Instantly I caught
like one of them like I'm going to go, I'm
gonna tail.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
We had just played each other.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
We had just played each other like last that year.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
There.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Oh, I got a question about that. I want to
hear did you kill him in that game? Or do
you guys not have.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
A you know, it's so crazy.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
I don't I think they had your boy Antoina Winfield.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Winfield was on the cover of two.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Mike Tomlin was our defensive coordinator at the time, so
we wasn't going on side to side. Either you came
to my side or you did come to my side.
Problem you didn't catch up. I guess you want to
call that inside choice round. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:18):
Yeah, that was the only thing I promise you. Until
I watched that game on, like you know, going back
and watching it, I didn't even realize I was out
there play against Smooth because, like I say, I don't
I knew the number.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
I knew he out there. You hear him the whole
damn time.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
But when You're in the middle of that play and
I'm not thinking about nobody, I'm thinking about, man, what
route I got in my linement, my assignment and all
that stuff. But to get back to when he got here,
what I don't know that play?

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Yeah, I tore my growing that day.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I don't even know.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
You got hurt, my girl, don't like no one knew.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
He didn't don't knew because I ended up catching the
ball and I went out like damn, it's something going on.
And I I remember I went in and Larry was like, man,
look lay down, and Larry couldn't find out. I went
and got checked out by my guy and he's like, Bro,
you just toy your growing and he was like, I
think you need to sit down because I tore it
so bad. They told me I was gonna have to
get surgery. And I came back and told Larry and

(20:15):
then I say, Larry, no, I'm done for the rest
of the OTA's and all that.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
I started doing that course stuff. I don't know when
you got handed out in the tam M. I eused
to have these cords.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
I started with those cores, doing core exercises, doing pool exercises.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
I played that season. No one knew I had tore
my growing doings.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Bro, That's pretty wild.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
And the other thing about you, Tanna, is we were
doing something for you. He was your birthday, right? Was
that that just happened? Right? We're doing something for your birthday?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
And I had to pull a bunch of clips of like,
you know, like what made you great? And I remember
watching the playoff game in twenty twelve, and the one
thing about that game that really stuck out to me
is like, obviously Tanner had a good game.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Ran good routes, but you were blocking.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah, and there's a couple of players you line up
as a fullback, you're cutting people down, you're cracking safeties,
and so to me, like one of the things that
I alway respected about receivers like Pierre's. One that comes
to mind is if you're willing to throw down and
beat that dog.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Pierre is a bull a dog.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
But I'm saying, but he's but even though like ten
I'll tell you five nine, ten, yeah, now, but like
to be throwing your statement give me my half though
and a half yeah. But like the physicality he played with,
I also appreciate it man.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Blocking his wont to when it comes to wild receive
Tenna won't to, Like you want to be a part
of the game, like like some receivers they they they
look at it as a privilege not to be a
part of the run game, Like I don't have to block.
And I love them devils like cause them d was
gonna get a play away, Like I know if it's
a pass, I run, because if you're a Devil R
receiver when it's a pass, you you tints at the line.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Of screamers like it's a past. If it's a run.
You lads out, you don't care.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
I remember Coke Zorn, y'all remember Zorin? Yeah, Zorn gave
me the player of the game. We played against the
Eagles and I had just we just we had just
beat the Cowboys the week prior and I went off
for like one forty seven touchdown and Zoin gave me
the player of the game. The next week against the
Eagles and I had no catches. And I'm telling you

(22:06):
what my mindset was like when I used to go
in games and I knew they weren't coming to me.
I was gonna punish a safety or corner. I was
gonna be his worst night man blocking. Yeah, because now
I'm like, Bro, I'm going to get on this tape
doing something, doing something. I'm not finna be out here
for sixty minutes and you see me walking around and mad,
I'm gonna be mad. I'm finna take my anger and

(22:27):
my frustration out on you. And that's what I always
prided myself in doing. And I remember in high school
when my coach used to tell us, like, Bro, like
I want you.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
I want to make sure because in high.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
School we didn't even get the ball so we was
always running off and he's like, I want to make
sure that if you want to play receiver for me,
I want to see you go out there and digging
safety out.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
So we took pride in digging safeties out.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
So by the time I got to college and my
coach say, you better go out there, and they had
this dude from Boston College.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I know Reggie ain't doing well.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
It was this guy we was all scared of at
Boston College. He used to come down like a torpedo
and he was no bigger than me, but boy, when
you hit him, it was like hitting a wall. And
I remember my coach knew who he was. I think
he was a little upperclassman. So I coached like, if
you hit him, then you can play receive for me.
And me and Reggie we was going on that big

(23:16):
would It was a crash course. But guess what, that
day we got our stripes and everybody knew on our
team because you know, they gonna show you what the
young guy's doing. So I took pride into blocking, almost
like catching the past, because if I blocked from my
running back to get a touchdown, he don't block like you.
That's just like me scoring a touchdown, that just like
me catching ten balls.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
That This is what I can say is a dB.
We studied players, We studied body types. I have seen
a couple what I call arrow dynamic body types, meaning
these guys are built like sports cars. Jorge Galloway was
built like a sports car, and I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
A strongly built foreign sports car.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
When I first seen Santana in college, I was like,
I looked at him walk, I looked at him run out,
like he's out.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
He's aerro dynamic.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
He's built for speed, like some guy's body is built
for what they do.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Didn't you go to Miami and go to his house?

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I did.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
He went to school with this guy, like this is
what we had already graduated and we it's the it's
the it's us getting ready for.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
The draft with this guy.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
You didn't know.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
He called me, Hey, where you at? I'm out here
right now. I'm ready to lock you up. I'm hung
the phone up on him. I'm in Fort Laudadale at
Chris Cotter Camp, like that's what we used to do
at that time to get ready for the draft.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
So I'm there and I got guys like Sylvester. I
got other.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
Receivers there and I'm like killing them and I'm like, man,
y'all stink. I like, how about y'all go get me somebody.
They're gonna challenge me. They like, who you want us
to get? I said, I want you all to get Santana.
And luckily Schly was like he I know what, I
know what he gave my So like, come on, baby,

(25:06):
I'm in my I'm in Miami Way.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Yeah, he was like, what you talking about? So it
was this thing, man, it was we always had a connection.
Smooth then we always had a connection.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
You gotta think like corners talking about corners, lockdown corners.
Coming out of college, it was smooth smooth man. Like
you didn't want to if you was playing Smooth Boy,
you're gonna sleep that now.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
You better get some sleep because you're.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
Gonna hear him or you was gonna be you was
gonna be one of them, victims of them.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Because Smooth had a lot of guys out there that
that he put the shame.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
You know, Yeah, well sweets the beasts. You're a beast.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
The other thing is, I'm sure a lot of fans
want to hear about you know, the like the Cowboy
Killer when you went off against Dallas. But we have
a podcast where we talk about that specifically, Hall's Tale
Hell Tales Hell. Make sure check it out. It's in
a podcast feed. Headed does a great job with that.
Jason does a great job with that, and that's gonna
give you way more detail about the history of the
story of that game specifically and what happened. And I

(26:02):
think you probably did an interview for it. Tanner, yep,
so you're getna gonna hear from him. Let's make sure
you check that out.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Now.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Jason is an AI guy. He likes a quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
And he's not scared of terminated taking out.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I guess not. But basically he was like he asked
the I question. It was like, what was Santana Moss
a dog? And so he put in the rundown chet
What is it? Chett?

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah, no, free ads, dude.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
I'm asking who did he asked? It can't just a
I asked a determinator.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Who was it was determinator, That's who he asked. And
so this is AI's response. Haha, I see what you
did there. If you're asking whether Santana Moss was a
dog in the slang sense that sounds so like nerdy anyway, No.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Like I enjoyed that a computer can say, you're not,
actually is he a real dog?

Speaker 3 (26:51):
He?

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Actually? Is he a dog dog slang sense?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
So respect and get this meaning a tough clutch or
stand out performer, then yeah, you could say he was.
Santanamos had some serious dog in him on the field,
especially during his prime with the Washington Redskins. Knowing for
his speed, agility, and big play ability, he had moments
where he absolutely balled out, like in the two thousand
and five season where he racked up one thousand, four

(27:15):
hundred and eighty three yard receiving yards and he made
the Pro Bowl. Fans and teammates would likely agree he
brought that dog energy with his competitive spirit and knack
for making tough catches.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Dude, I mean, hey, I kind of just like hyped.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
You up over that shiit number four today.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
That is a crazy story though, like I heard, Like,
when you tell me that story, I'm just like, no, he.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Ain't gonna let it. Hey, he gonna the people gonna
remember me from forty eight. Who didn't even know I
had forty eight.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Because of this dude, Right, yeah, every every since you've
been inducted. Every time he sees you, he says that.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Forty eight forty eight.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Listen, we put that forty eight on, and why it's tough.
It's tough.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
It's tough.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
That's a tough it was for me putting it on
around the lane every day.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Literally, you know, in college, like your your locker number
is basically dictated on.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Who the number of NU Americas. So that number was
a linebacker number. So I was around nothing but linebackers.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
But that is going to show you how I was
able to be in the den with a bunch of
lions and be able and be.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
Who I was.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
You know what I'm saying, Walk out there, Hurricane.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
You out there, walking out there with London fletchers around you,
and then go out there.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
You go out there and do what you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
So that told you. That told you who I was
off the top, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
No, they said I'm a football everybody can't make it
in those those those trenches like that.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
They can't, cause I'm gonna.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Tell you they won of being around those guys. I
guess what they do to me first day as a
freshman take my locker up.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
My locker had a ball.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
The ball around my locker was about this big lock.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
But they didn't know I wore a blade. I had
a blade on me every day. And when they saw
me at practice, they were like, how you got out
here so fast? And I ain't say a word. You
know why because I changed every one of they locks.
This is everyone one of them had they locks open.
I say, oh, I know they did it. So I
went to everybody a lock. If you were fifty two,
I gave you fifty seven. And you were fifty seven,

(29:08):
I gave you forty nine. I changed everybody lost. This
as a freshman, this dude sponsored by just lit raises.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
So you know, when you got guys on the team,
they tell you like, man, man, we're gonna hate y'all.
We're gonna do stuff. They do this to y'all, they
do that. So my mind just went to racing, like,
all right, well, I gotta be prepared. So when the
hazing came, I was prepared. We went, we threw down.
And then when I knew they was gonna take my lockers,
I was prepared. I had my I can see you,
I can see start.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Can I have some.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Razors to my bed.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
So when I tell you, when I came in from
that day from practice and I hear it, be got dressed.
And there was one thing why I got dressed so fast.
Them boys was thirty eight with me.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Bro Hey. The next day, boy, you couldn't come in
that locker room. Boy, they was they want they was
ready to fight.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
Well, we could probably talk about Santana's stories all day,
but we got to talk about the team a little bit.
And so we're bringing back a segment that Santana loves
in honor of him getting inducted into the Ring of Fame,
and it's called.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
To the Moves.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
To what it is, it's like it's our stock market
segment because Tanna, if you've been around him for any
length of time, loves.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
In Colum John Stockton.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
So what we're doing is we're gonna kind of apply
some investing terms to the team, and Tanna, who's our
financial guy, is gonna help us kind of make good investments. Okay,
so right now, what who is the blue chip investment?
Just the solid fortune five hundred, someone to set your
watch by, gonna be a baller, So not.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
A battle somebody, No, no, this is what about company.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I'm trying to build my retirement. I'm trying to build
my retirement. I'm trying to get you know, maybe like Caterpillar, McDonald's,
Coca Cola.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Who is that for this team right now?

Speaker 2 (30:51):
J five he is dead custin stock.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
I mean he's only he's only been good for one year.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Yeah, but he's dead. Boris stock, Sody McDonald. He made
the big mcwade niggerpick in today and they shrink it
and the stock rolls at the end of the day.
Once you got a court group of customers, you cannot
be denied. In Dight five, the force mode supply, you
has a court group of supporters, he will not be denied.
Ain't no stock higher in his team, Ain't no stock higher?

Speaker 2 (31:21):
And quarterbacks in.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
The probably true. I mean, like that's what I'm saying,
is it is it? Are we buying a spike or
are we buying that stand up?

Speaker 4 (31:28):
I'm gonna say it's safe stock because of Larrmy Thompson.
I'm gonna say it's it's safe stock because Coleman moving
to guard.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
He's a He's a stock that I would buy it
no matter where is at. J. J. Lo, how I'm
buying that. I'm oh, he's a it's available. Oh, let
me give me a share right now.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Let me let me get a piece of that right now,
and and and trust me every time. If he has
a dip, I'm buying more.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
But he's one of those guys I mean, like you
trust him, Yeah, I trust him that much, buying Daniel.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Coin because he is because it's not and I guess
the field stuff is important, but it's how we work off.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
It's one thing like this.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
You can look at a season and say, yeah, this
guy had a great season.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
We don'et been around that before. But you got to
look at the talent.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
When you look at the talent, it separates everything else
and the person and the person and the person and
that goes beyond you know what I'm saying football, Like
when you have a guy that's leveled like that, when
you see when you see where his foundation was built from, yeah,
and how they treat him and how they make sure
that he's right.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Yeah. Yeah, you got to buy into that place of money.
Me and Warren Buffett were talking right and Warren tell
me about you got to buy in JD.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Five.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
So I said, you know what, I'm gonna do that
because Warren nobody gets that bread like you warn knows
where it's gonna go.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Whooping down there.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Nothing gonna be steady, then, Jedi five coin, nothing gonna
be steady, like.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
So I think we all agree. I mean, that's the
one to buy.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Another couple of names after out here would be le Mens,
Bobby Wagner potentially just like most right, you know what
I'm saying, I'm trying to think there's anybody that maybe
zach Ertz just readibly, steady, consistent.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Ain't gonna lie. And I might be like way stress,
way stress way.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
That's why financially guy Tana.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Way to go. Now. I might be buying this stock
too early and.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Too comforting about it, Okay, but I like this Samus
steel Coin. I like that because he's steady, the person
is steady, the person is steady, and then the person
is steady though, and he only gonna get better, Like
he's only gonna get better, dude.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
I actually like that quite a bit. I think those
are some good names. Obviously, it's hard to beat Jane Daniels.
Important position, consistent play such you're watch by that guy.
Man he was he was fantastic last year. Okay, so
this is interesting because I think this is somewhat challenging.
I think I screwed this up the last time we
did it. Who would you buy the dip on? Who

(33:47):
is gonna who was at a little bit of a
low spot. Maybe people aren't talking about him, but it's
gonna have a big ascension this.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
I'm bet dip on d BO because everybody wants to
get off of Everybody want to talk about his his
status and what he and wad and but I think
he's one of.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Those guys too when you just watch the work.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
I mean like it's one thing that saying, Okay, this
guy's a phenomenal receiver or this guy's a phenomenal whatever
you want to call him, but we know that's not
the case.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
He's he's one of those guys that you really can't
critique and say that what he does until he has
that ball in his hands, until he has those pads on.
And when I'm watching a guy like that in our practice,
on this particular offense, knowing what Cliff Queensburg like to
do offensively, you got to buy it on him because
he fits what we do. He's one of those guys that, look,

(34:36):
we put guys in that situation last year that made
them better. He's a guy that knew I want him
because he fits. He would make me look better when
I give him the chance to do them same things
that we did the other that we allow other guys
to do last year. I would say, I'm a body
low and I feel like he's gonna see a high
javon Kin law, Dude.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
I love that because everybody like, did you ever pay him?

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Everybody like asking these questions, and I think he's gonna
fit everything that they want to do here right now.
I think he's gonna fit the size, he's gonna fit
the tenacity, He's gonna fit everything that they want to do.
So I think if you really want to buy a
stock load, that's gonna see it hot. It's the kid
lot because nobody besides the front off is believes in them.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Yeah, I really like I almost said down when that
would have been my pick if we had talked about
this before the other one that I kind of just
want to float out there and you guys can shoot
this down or not would be Von Miller.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
And I don't know if I don't know if you
ever played, I like that bad. But he's been a
little bit banged up the last couple of years.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
And that's funny how you're talking about a future Hall
of Fame as a biload Stock.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you know what I'm saying, Like
in terms of what he's gonna do for the tech people,
not expecting much. Yeah, but like you know, if he
gets eight sacks this year and a bunch of pressures
and really elevates the third down pass rush, let's thank you,
Frankie leubis sta Blitzer, Like, I think that could do
a lot for the team.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
I don't need that logan.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
I don't need a sex from him. I need him
to unlock everybody else.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
If he goes five sacks and everybody else go five, six, seven, eight,
like he unlocks everybody else.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
You are the attention grab.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
When a quarterback Washington the line they are learning, where's
twenty four for the past rush.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
On third down?

Speaker 3 (36:14):
How do you feelbout the number for him? By the way, Yeah,
I think I kind of think it's cool, the twenty four.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
I kind of like it. At first I thought.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
It was it, It got grow on me a little bit.
I gotta I gotta see it out there with him.
On went past and everything was k first, really well,
and then I was like, he did play with my homeboard,
Champ and them. So maybe now that he's in Washington
where Champ used to be, maybe he said all.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Right because they talked.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
I seen him chatting it up yesterday, so maybe it
was let me put it on for Champ. I really
care less about the number. I just want him to
be what we're gonna need.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
And I think he's gonna bring it because you gotta
think about it, Like I said, talking about our offense,
when you got a guy that can do what he
can do without being on whatever defense, what we do
defensively is what he does best. Get after the quarterback,
but get so so whether he getting to the ball
or not, like you said, he gonna unlock other guys.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
So I think he fits what we do over here.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Man.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
And guess what when you get kid Law and the
rest of those big guys you're trying to ren on
forced first down, to get him the privilege to pass
rush on third down, and this to be third and long,
to be exact.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
To love that.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
So Deebo kin Law von Miller and now we're going
high return on investments. So someone that's maybe no one's
talking about not playing bad, not playing good, but we
think it's going to have a pretty significant ascension.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Like the guys you just talked about, there's a little
bit of dip maybe yeah, And now who's going to ascend?

Speaker 1 (37:35):
I don't know, Go Jayden Lane, man, really yeah, you
just feel good about that.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
I feel good because one of the things about it,
like you got a guy that you got at a
at a fair price, but that can do two things
for you.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
You see what I'm saying. That's why he's see them investment.
And so at the time, like so that's like me
saying that. That's like me buying a diffidend start that say, Hey,
I'm putting to buy this stock for six dollars and
you're looking at all it's on six dollars, So just
wanting to buy a lot of it because if you
think about it, it's gonna pay me back monthly.

Speaker 5 (38:04):
So at the end of the day, I look at JD.
Lane like a dividend start. He's a guy that man, look,
I might not need you right now to come out
here and beat nobody but give.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
But I can use you to catch these punts.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
I also can throw you down there and have you
run down on if I need you to run down
on a fly or kick off or you name it.
He he has that ability to do every and anything
that they need him to do. And when you can
get a guy with that kind of speed, we already
know speed kills and and and you know, you don't
play a long time in this league.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
It's hard.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
It's tough chasing the guy and seeing the back of
that jersey. So I just think he's one of those guys. Man,
he's gonna be able to do things for us offensively
that we might not need. But being a punt returner
and being able to change the field for us, you know,
give us those first downs before our offense get out there. Man,
that's a that's a that's a huge all return on

(38:55):
investment for me.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
And he's had a great training camp all right. The
other day, what was that yesterday? Sunday?

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Sunday he burned my boy Max Sammers.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Yeah, jumped up kind of big high point catch.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Then he relaxed their body though, like how you relaxed
their body?

Speaker 2 (39:08):
That showed me when nuance and went, yeah, so that's cool.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
I think you got a guy that's definitely have a
good camp. And I like what Tenna said there about
a dual value there.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Who you got?

Speaker 4 (39:16):
All right?

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Long time ago out to forget this?

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Can I something to you?

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Yesterday on the on on our what is that fuel pass? Yeah,
when we had the live show, you were talking about
some guy quite a bit.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
And I'm gonna talk about him now, you know, Dann
Will I'm going to talk about him now. All right,
here go think about it a couple when I first
got to the league and O three I got here
no one, but in O three I got investments laid
in my left At the time, I'm trying to focus
on football, not so much the other stuff. But the
person kept banging my dough in smoothed do this, do this?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
It turned out to be bite him in water?

Speaker 3 (39:55):
Oh no kidding? All right? Missed that one, Yes I.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
Did, so I won't miss this one, all right, the
human invitamin water tyler owens due, I ain't got listen
to me.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
You're talking about doubleyo investment.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
He plays special teams, and I just think and we
all play with these players like we all watch guys.
We be like man, if the dude ever in front
of him get hurt, he'll never get his job back.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Tyler Owens is a job stealer.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
Tyler Owens is a dude that if he ever gets
his hands on a starring job in the NFL, you're
looking at a twelve year starter.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
I just think it's something about this kid.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
I think his his work ethic, his uh when he's
out there, the feel of the game.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
He feels it in a way that makes it easy
for him.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Like if I'm looking as a coach, I want players
that make it look easy. He make it look easy.
And I know this coaching staff. They are a production
coaching staff. If you produce, you will play, all right,
I'm telling you right invest in forty he won't be
reading forty long.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
All right. You gonna do like Tannady to get out
of that fo I love.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
It would probably be Drean's Armstrong, just because I feel
like no one's talking about him. He had a bunch
of sacks last year. He's been very productive in camp,
he was hot in the playoffs, and so I think
I just feel like he's a good He's been a
good stock, but no one's talking about him, so let's
buy him while uh well, no one's talking about him
all right now, the one player, one stock that you
are not going to let go.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
You got diamond hands on this stock.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
It's something that you think has tremendous value moving forward.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
I don't know to anyone to start us off. You've
been crushing it so far.

Speaker 4 (41:30):
So diamond hands. Whoa Trey Amos?

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Okay, you just got you think that's good value there?
You know I'm a receiver, okay. And the thing I
talk about the most is defensive backs.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
And the thing the reason why I love a guy
like Trey James is because what I always talk about
last year, it's one thing of being a coner.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
But I just need you to know the nuances of
playing coner. Yes, I need you to know how to
use what you have, all your leverage, everything you just
sideline when you can use the help inside. And to
have a to have a rookie playing at the level
he's playing right now in these camps, standing out and
having coaches saying that, hey, this is a guy who
missed doing out today or this guy locked this guy up.

Speaker 5 (42:13):
I think that's diamond hands I'm I'm I'm holding him.
I ain't letting him go until he tried to go
and the I'm gonna go with. I'm gonna I'm going
with the rep he goes, I'm gonna hold onto that one.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
I'm going, rich Homie Kuwan. You just rich Homie Kwan.
That's first of all, his birthday is on the magical day,
April seventeenth. Let's start there, right, we share the birthday,
all right. He has the birthday of a king. Right,
let's start there and let me he has a birthday
of a king, all right, and think about him. He

(42:43):
has this come presence about him, this calm confidence about him.
Tanner was talking earlier like he got a little reading.
You gotta read in him. That's the unexplainable. That's the
thing that you can't quantify, like people can't quantify with
a ree was so good. Hee wasn't the fastest, wasn't
the biggest. But I tell you what. You put the
ball in he rehand, and it's magical. He's like rubbing

(43:06):
the genie bottle. He gonna pop out of there and
give you three wishing. I'll tell you corn have fun.
Con That's what.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
I'm dude, I think that's that's exactly that was the one.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
I was gonna take this.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
Young player, great athlete in a new position.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
More hand than body, see what I'm saying. Mine.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
Yeah, I think that's gonna be gonna be a really
nice pick. Okay, so did you pick?

Speaker 2 (43:28):
Now that that took your piek? Like the why did
you win? Did you get to reset?

Speaker 3 (43:32):
But the other one that I feel like would be
really good is Will Harris.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Will Harris, Yeah, because I again like watching him at practice.
The versatility is the one that gets me right in
the box. Safety Nickel play multiple spots in the defense.
You can see his experience. I feel like he's ready
for kind of an ascending role. So that's what I
would pick.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
It's funny that most safeties are there, but I think
we're really high in both the safeties. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
I think they interchangeable. First of all, I think they flexible.
I think they they scare you because these guys can
also play big nickel, So it's gonna be fine and wilder.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Yeah yeah, I think, and then that makes it harder
for the offensive figure out exactly what.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
Okay, and because this is the last like really.
