The official podcast of the TinCan Tavern Fantasy Football League. The Commissioner's Desk Podcast is a weekly recap of all 6 fantasy football divisions recorded live in the TinCan Tavern. Commissioner Chris Bettencourt and his co-host Chace Jabotte attempt a comical review of the past week, conduct interviews of the Tavern's many managers, give you their upcoming Match-ups of the Week, and take phone calls. In the off-season, the show goes off the rails and gives you a look into the twisted minds of the characters in this league.
The offseason has officially started with a mailbag episode! Chace and I answer listener questions, most of which are not league related. Things go off the rails pretty quick. Thank you to everyone who submitted questions.
This is the 4th annual TcT FF Award Show featuring awards like: The Power Bottom Award, the Nick Cannon Wild 'n' Out Award, the Fantasy God's Punching Bag Award, the Flying Dutchman Award, and many more. Put on your tux or fanciest dress because you're invited to the show.
On this episode we crown our division champions! Chace and I are joined in studio by the new Bush League Division Champion, Tim Calvao. We discuss the past season and many other things. Give it a listen.
In this early episode Chace and I discuss a variety of topics to include the future of the show. We eventually get into a recap of the quarterfinals and give you a sneak peek into the semifinals. Does anyone read these?
Chace is back! We talk a bit about Surviving Barstool, then get into a recap of last week while previewing the quarterfinals.
After a week off for Thanksgiving, I am solo. No recap of last week, I get right into the playoff picture. I go division by division breaking down who's in, who could be in, and ignoring everyone else. It's an hour of all things TCT.
On this week's episode Chace and I are joined in studio by Mike "Skeeter" DeCotis. We discuss all things from Mike Tyson's cheeks to The Penguin finale. We eventually get to football, both NFL and TCT. Check it out.
On this week's episode, Chace and I are joined in studio by special guest The Fly. Actually Nick Downey is here from the Champion's Division but there is a winter fly that will not leave us alone. We debut Bob Awesome's TCT Season 4 Anthem. Then we talk some football and league with some good stuff mixed in. Good episode. Don't miss it.
Chace takes a week off and I am joined in studio by my daughter Layla. After wishing all the vets out there a happy Veteran's Day, we quickly cover the election. Layla provides the middle school coverage of the topic. We also discuss the state of music and movies in her generation. I eventually talk to myself about football. Chace, get your ass back in here...
This episode is not fun. I'm tired of getting my ass kicked. Speaking of that, my son got his ass kicked for the first time at school today. We also discuss how I almost died Halloween night. There's some football talk in there somewhere.
This week, no guests, no calls, no frill. Just straight football talk the entire episode from your two favorite podcast hosts. Just kidding. No guests but lots of frill. It's unbelievable.
Batman is back and he has a new villain to vanquish... The Diddler! On this week's episode of the podcast, Chace and I talk about every other podcast recorded in history. We then start to recap the week in the NFL but get interrupted with a surprise call from Batman. Batman wages war on Chace after last week's shocking story. After that phone call we finish up the NFL and eventually cover the TinCan Tave...
On this week's episode Chace and I are joined in studio by the Septic Tank Division's Veda Edwards. We try out the new format this week which results in us talking more football, but just as much random things. Things like, shoes, Chace's limewire glory days, and Diddy parties. Don't miss it.
I don't even know how to describe this episode. Chace and I discuss a multitude of topics while trying to avoid talking about this past week's fantasy football results. That's the best I can do.
This episode Chace and I are joined by the Dead-Bottom Division's Mike Roy. He may not say much, but I promise you, he was in here. We discuss week 3's horrible results while Chace struggles with demons. He was better by the time he left. The kid deserved some relief...
Not going to lie, this is an offseason episode disguised as a regular season episode. We are joined live in studio by fellow podcaster, Mike Proud. After learning a little about Mike, we tackle the very tough subject of mental health, particularly depression. Eventually things get lighter when Chace mentions he wanted to bang a cartoon character. At some point there is fantasy football talk, but not much.
This episode Chace and I are joined in studio by the Backroom Division ambassador, Joe Bettencourt. With week 1 in the books, get ready for 2 hours of solid football and fantasy talk. Hope you're comfy. This one goes on and on.
This week Chace and I review all six drafts in the TinCan Tavern. Six drafts. Sixty two teams. A lot to cover...
On this week's episode, the Commissioner expresses some recent gripes he's had with the league. Once that air is cleared, we meet a few of the new managers to the TinCan Tavern. Current Bush League Champion Mike Stephens and new manager Mike Stephens clash over the use of "the original Mike Stephens" moniker. Come meet some new managers with us.
We're back! And apparently so is the author of the Magnum Opus! We get to that eventually. But first we are joined in studio by the newest manager of the Septic Tank Division, Jeff Sinko. I make some major announcements for the league which include a retirement and an un-retirement. We discuss what we did during our long absence from the show. After a bunch of chatter we get into football when Chace and I c...
