For almost 40 years, Dr. Cheryl Woodson practiced Geriatric Medicine, taught health care professionals, and was active in advocating effective eldercare services in her community and at the national level. She also raised a family and navigated her mother’s 10-year journey with Alzheimer’s disease. In retirement, Dr. Cheryl offers presentations and courses that guide caregivers to give excellent eldercare without sacrificing their health, finances, or relationships. She also challenges all adults to ROAR THROUGH RETIREMENT, LIVE OUT LOUD and AGE EXCELLENTLY!

Dr. Cheryl is an award-winning author. She published the second edition of her popular resource, To Survive Caregiving, A Daughter’s Experience, A Doctor’s Advice in November 2021 with a new companion book, The Doctor is IN: Answering Your Questions About How to Survive Caregiving. Her 2020 publication of Dear Lauren, Love Mom: 31 Days of Affirmations for My Daughter, for Myself, and for YOU, is an inspirational photo book that speaks to the hearts of women who need to take better care of themselves.
