On today’s episode, I am joined by OG Austinite, and my ACL & Concert Bestie, Nick Moreau, aka “Yonce”. Nick has become one of my closest friends and someone who is a modern-day historian of Austin’s staple events like SXSW, ACL and Blues on the Green. Our shared loved of music brought us together, but some of my most memorable stories in Austin have been with him. Nick is authentically and unapologetically himself and doesn’t hold back when it comes to being REAL, and supporting his friends and causes he cares about.
We talk about his love for Max Frost and the stages of “Lit Nick” at Love & Lightstream, his wild run-in with Tierra Whack’s posse at ACL and casually attempting to walk off the ACL stage at James Blake, and how his love of music has made him the ultimate hype man at any event we’re at together.
