Concrete motorway safety barriers

#005 Marten and I dive into the use of concrete barriers on motorways, as well as the dynamics of damage to concrete barriers due to corrosion of internal reinforcement and concrete degradation due to carbonation. 

We also get into what the future holds for roadside concrete barrier repair. 

 I hope this episode is food for thought about whether there’s a better way to repair damaged concrete barriers than replacing huge chunks.
