Confessions of a Doctoholic

Confessions of a Doctoholic

Hi, I'm Hafsa Slaiman, intern, wanderluster and extrovert. The problem though is that I hit more speed bumps than a formula one racer. Med school has proven to be far from Grey's Anatomy and my future has become more convoluted than the nephron. I’ve been away for a while but I’m back and ready to confess, but are you ready to hear it all? This podcast reveals it all: my breakdowns, my fails, my first times, my solutions and fun medical stuff, so whether you’re a med student, premed, doc or even someone who just wants to get inspired come along and join me on my journey.

It was 2 a.m., the trauma pager screamed, and a GSW patient came in barely hanging on. But somewhere between the chaos and the clamp, I got a reminder of why we do what we do. This isn’t just blood and bullets — it’s humanity in its rawest form.

It started like any other shift... until the alarms, the chaos, and the urgent voices kicked in. But the real crisis wasn’t the trauma pager — it was what was happening outside the hospital, and inside my head. This one’s about emotional overload disguised as clinical calm.

If you’ve ever been in a “WTF is going on here?” moment on the wards — DM me @hafsaslaiman and tell me about it! I’d love to hear your stories.
