(00:00):
And what is going on you guys? My name is Lilly Monroe and you're listening to

(00:12):
Escort Confessions. How's it going? Hi! Thank you so much for tuning in today.
Today I will talk about my trip to Yosemite Park because it has been quite a
fantastic journey and I actually spent my birthday there. So on my second day I
drove to the park and it was so freaking gorgeous! It was one of the most

(00:38):
beautiful parks I've ever seen. The mountains, just everything.
Even the people were nice, even the people were pretty. So to go to Yosemite
Park you basically have to like go to the eastern side of the California
California state so like close to you know Nevada and whatnot and in

(01:03):
Colorado. Yeah it's like there, close by. So I thought I was gonna see Yosemite
Park like oh I'll make a stop here, here like this stop, this stop. Yeah no it was
huge. It's a huge park so it took me two days to explore everything. So I had to

(01:23):
stay the night and apparently September is also a high season even though it's
cold as fuck at night. So I had to... I went to first hotel, could not find... they were
all fully booked with seniors for some stupid ass reason. And then I went to the

(01:43):
next hotel they were also booked and then the third hotel was a lodge and I'm
like hi I'm having trouble I really hope you have a room I don't care how shitty
the room is, where it's located at. I just I just need a place to sleep because I've
been driving that day for 14 hours. I've walked so much that day like I was just

(02:06):
like passing out in the lobby. I was exhausted. So yeah thankfully they did
have a room and it was like 300 something but I'm like you know whatever
it looks like a regular room it's a little bit nicer and it's a lodge and
they have like the pool and you have to like couple of restaurants you have to

(02:29):
pay for breakfast separately they have game rooms they have jacuzzi and what
not and I'm like you know fuck it it's fine. So I spent the night there probably
slept until like 10 in the morning until the time I had to check out but I did
ask for a later check out which was fine and then I went to explore the rest of

(02:50):
the park and then the park just mmm there's so much so many trails to
explore but I probably took the most picturesque one and kind of you know
got close to the cliffs and people told me I'm crazy and I'm like haha thank you

(03:14):
yes and I met really two cool I met two cool chicks from Texas and yeah they
took a bunch of my pictures which was super nice of them I took some of them
and yeah they were also solo female travelers I'm like yeah so I kind of

(03:35):
hung out with them for a while and yeah then I drove to the couple of Airbnb's
which were I could not find any people at those Airbnbs and Airbnbs in bed
and breakfast because I don't know apparently you have to reserve it and
there was no signal at all in those mountains I'm not sure why because a lot

(03:58):
of people are there and people could get lost without their GPS and I am not
talking about myself so yeah so I explored bunch of Yosemite Park but yeah
let's just say Yosemite Park is like one of the top three of the parks that I
ever went to so far so after Yosemite Park I drove to back to the coast I

(04:25):
think I stopped at Santa Rosa and it was pretty nice pretty nice sound they had
like the whole they had like roller coasters there on the beach and I think
it was Santa Rosa I honestly cannot remember because like with every new day
I woke up I'm like where the fuck am I and California has all those like San

(04:49):
Diego San Antonio Santa Rosa Santa Lucina and Lucia and yeah yeah but yeah I did
go to a lot of like national parks and state parks and state parks are pretty
cool because you just like pick random state park that looks picturesque and

(05:13):
yeah and I was lucky because I went to a lot of them they were pretty picture
perfect and yeah took bunch of pictures and yeah let's see where else did I go
after that I went oh yeah Yosemite Park has a couple of waterfalls and my mom

(05:39):
told me do not climb anywhere where it looks dangerous I still climbed
everywhere where it looked dangerous and somebody actually tripped while they
were climbing and it was not me it was some older guy and it looked like he
broke his arm or just actually no it looked like he dislocated his shoulder

(05:59):
and for the first time ever I asked people do you need some help they said
no they were Russian I'm like oh well never fucking mind I didn't say that to
them but I'm like well I am NOT helping anybody else right now not helping
anybody ever it was like my first time asking to help somebody and yeah they

(06:25):
were like oh I'm like okay yeah basically I climbed everywhere took shit
ton of pictures had a bunch of fun drove to see some really cool lakes again lots
of pictures it's it's like I don't know if heaven is real it looks like Yosemite
oh that would make a really cool yeah cool logo on the shirt something to put

(06:50):
on to put on the shirt so after Yosemite I and after all those Santa Santa towns
I drove to the town called weed it's an actual town and they have a small
souvenir shop and the guy is super nice there and yeah the town is called weed

(07:10):
go check it out drive there it's pretty nice drive I went to another park where
there was an active kind of volcano ish but it wasn't active at the time it was
just active like then I drove to the coast tried driving to the coast until

(07:35):
I got lost in the woods and for about 30 minutes I kept no actually sorry for
about an hour I kept going the same road over and over back and forth I'm like
where the fuck is the exit because my GPS was not working again California such
a big fucking state no signal anywhere like I started like just having mental

(07:59):
breakdown ish ish but yeah then I finally found a way I think oh that's when I
stopped in Santa Rosa yes all these towns are getting mixed up in my head and
I stopped at this really cool hotel where breakfast was actually free and it
was right next to this like an airport type of thing and yeah and I had the

(08:26):
best sleep of that month that night and then the morning after that I drove to
the most awesome wharf I have been to and I forgot the name of the wharf so
it's called Monterey the town of Monterey such a beautiful wharf I don't

(08:48):
know what it was about it but like all those little shops and the Marina was
right next to it and everybody was super nice and maybe like the Sun I don't know
everybody seemed happy and I just kind of wanted to stay there longer I didn't
want to leave and like the city itself was really cute and whatnot and just

(09:10):
everything everything and yeah so then I had to go back to Santa Barbara and to
Malibu and I stopped at the Malibu Hindu temple unfortunately it was closed again
because they have really weird schedule it's like 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. and then

(09:31):
they open at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. super super weird um but yeah and I drove back
to LA from Malibu and I stopped by Paul Walker's Memorial at the Forest Lawn
Memorial great sight thing it's called Forest Lawn Cemetery there we go and

(09:57):
yeah his memorial was super easy to find because I googled it and just by the
pictures online I'm like that's where it's at because so there's two Forest
Lawn cemeteries there's one I was at the second one I've already been to the
other one and I liked this one better just because it was more open and I don't

(10:23):
know because it has Paul Walker in it well it kind of doesn't have him in it
because yeah but he has his memorial so I was like went to his memorial I finally
like I don't know I've been blocking the tears for like two months and I just
kind of bawled my eyes out at his recent place so um yeah I guess I was writing a

(10:47):
poem there and I kind of provoked it and I left like a poem and then a couple of
bracelets I guess that I made for him and yeah and that was like a kind of a
conclusion to my trip and but it was a nice trip it was like I started with
Fast and Furious locations ended up with his memorial which was like a nice end

(11:09):
of story I guess um I don't know what to explain it but um yeah but it was a
really good trip even though like I didn't go surfing I just didn't have
time I didn't really have time to do anything and I didn't even grab my laptop
which was a good thing because again didn't have signal didn't have time I
drove throughout like most of the way so you know like what's the point of grabbing

(11:33):
laptop if I'm just gonna drive can't really use it so but yeah it was a good
trip just yeah hope you guys enjoyed this podcast and if you have not been
to California you should definitely go just stay the fuck away from San
Francisco cuz cops are stupid and just the city itself like bunch of
assholes like you're gonna get robbed and shit like that so California is nice

(11:57):
just if it had it would be nice if it did not have San Francisco in it so I
think almost the population would agree with me so yeah thank you so much again
for listening to this podcast and I will talk to you guys next time
