Dr. Hinton was gracious enough to carve time out of her busy schedule; working for Indiana State University, while also being the first African-American woman to serve on Terre Haute City Council. Dr. Hinton gives us all a look into her background, discussing how church and community has shaped her perspective of how to navigate this thing called life, as well as her experience in higher education - both as a student and as a professor. Dr. Hinton is the epitome of being grounded and humble. The world is clearly a better place the more involved she is, and we would all benefit from the depth of knowledge and experience she shares with us!
