At the end of the attunement, he kind of teared up

(00:03):
when, and he was silent for awhile as he listened to
everyone.
I was sharing their experienceand then it came to his turn and
we looked at him and you know,just curious as to what he
experienced.
And he just said, Hi, beautiful.
I can't believe it's been a weekalready.
Time is flying by.
I have been pondering what Iwanted to share with you on

(00:25):
today's podcast episode ofConnecting to Spirit.
And I was reflecting on one ofthe very many beautiful
experiences that I've beenblessed with as a Reiki master
teacher.
A beautiful gentleman had in oneof my Reiki classes, right after
he was attuned to Reiki.

(00:47):
So for those of you that don'tknow what an attunement is, a
very sacred experience thathappens in every Reiki workshop,
whether you learn online or ifyou learning in person.
And what it does is it's anenergetic transference that
connects you to the lineage ofreiki.
All the way back from everymaster through to my master, all

(01:11):
the way back to the very founderof Reiki, which is Masui.
So in the experience, whathappens as you are, um,
connected to.
The, the power of reiki througha sacred experience.
I can't go into the details ofhow it works, but what it does

(01:32):
is it puts you back inconnection with, I guess, the
element of your soul andeveryone's experience is totally
unique.
The way that I explain it in myclasses is it's like you are
tuned to pick up.
At the moment, you're juststatic.
If you look at it, uh, like aradio station, so there's static

(01:53):
energy and a reiki master willattune you to the frequency that
is reiki, like tuning in a dial.
And when we get your system,your energetic system tuned into
the frequency of.
Reiki, it activates the energyand all of a sudden it's like
hitting that radio station andgetting that clear signal

(02:14):
through.
And then hearing that beautifulmusic, we get tuned into the
aspect of our soul that we ashumans, when we incarnate the,
the veil is there and we forgetwho we are.
This gorgeous man.
He was in his fifties when hemet me.
He came in, I think there wasonly two men in this particular
workshop.
So I'd usually have about 30women and a couple of men would

(02:37):
come through.
And what I would do is I'd dothe, a achievement experience,
and then afterwards we'd standin a small group.
I'd separate everyone.
My masters would be there.
And we'd be hearing everyone'sexperience.
And it's always unique.
And for me, the best bit oflearning reiki is the
attunement, is receiving it andsitting in that collective

(02:58):
energy.
So incredible.
But second to that is hearinghow people received it and what
experiences came through to themwhile they were in that
attunement experience.
And I remember this oneparticular man's.
Journey.
He came at the end and he isvery big, strong man.
He was telling us that heactually, works with teenagers

(03:23):
that.
You know, that society has kindof, um, forgotten about and, and
he would bring them into hishome and, uh, he was, he would
house'em for a while.
Um, and he was telling us that.
Yeah, so, so he used to take inthese teenagers, uh, I can't
think of what it's called at themoment.

(03:43):
Um.
Foster, he was a foster parent,so him and his wife would foster
these children.
And so he spent his lifenurturing other people, loving
people, especially those that,society had deemed as unlovable
in some way, or their behavioralactions had caused'em to, to not
really feel worthy of lovethemselves.
At the end of the attunement hekind of teared up when, and he

(04:07):
was silent for a while as helistened to everyone.
I was sharing their experienceand then it came to his turn and
we looked at him and you know,just curious as to what he
experienced.
And he just said, he said, I'mnearly, or I'm 50 years old, and
he said, I think that has to bethe first time that I have truly

(04:27):
ever felt deep soul love.
And then he kind of welled up,and I don't know if it was that
he hadn't been loved before, butit was the first time he felt
worthy and fully opened hisheart to receiving the love, you

(04:48):
know, without anything neededfrom him.
He accepted it for the firsttime.
'cause I would imagine there'sbeen others loved him in his
life.
It wasn't the first time he wasloved.
It was the first time he fullyopened his heart to receive the
love, and then he teared up.
And then we were all in tearsafter because it was just such

(05:10):
a, just such a powerful momentshared in that exquisite, um,
sacred experience.
And then.
He kind of pulled me aside atthe end of the class and he
said, oh my gosh, Lisa.
He said, I kind of feel a bitfrustrated that I'm in my
fifties and I've only, I've onlylearned about reiki now.
I like, I wish I'd learn thismodality 20 years ago.

(05:32):
And I kind of said to him, nowis the perfect time.
You're here now and this is whenit was supposed to be, but the
reason I'm telling you this.
Stories.
'cause I can't tell you how manytimes I have met people that
have said to me, I've beenwanting to learn Reiki for 20
years.
I've been thinking about thisfor a while now.
I've had the push, I've had theimpulse, I've had the knowing

(05:54):
that this is meant for me and.
For whatever reason, they putthemselves at the bottom of the
list.
They put everyone else abovethem, and they don't do it until
they get to a point wherethey've gone through usually
their empty nesters, and they'relike, okay, now, now it's time
for me to follow my passion, mypurpose, and do something that's
just for me.

(06:15):
So.
If you can relate and you canunderstand, and if you've
learned reiki before and you canremember that feeling of coming
home to yourself, it's a, it's,it's a way that people have
described it.
Um, just pure joy and, um, justsuch a, just, just, there's just
such a transference of peace.

(06:35):
And it's the same whether it's,whether you're attuned online.
In my workshops or whether youreceive the in-person
experience, which we offer aswell.
The online is done live for thisvery reason because you are face
to face with me and you arereceiving the attunement in real

(06:56):
time, even though you may be onthe other side of the world,
which I think I hadn't taught inthat way until COVID hit.
And then I basically had myspirit guide, Onya tell me that
love knows no bounds over andover again.
When I was like, this doesn'twork.
I can't do it online.
I need the touch.
But what I learned is thatenergy, energy doesn't need to

(07:17):
be in person.
It feels exquisite when it is,but it's just as good, just as
powerful.
Online as well, and thesacredness of reiki.
You learn the experience online,but you still take it home and
you practice with the people youlove the most with your animals,
with your family, with yourfriends.
And then as you progress throughthe system, I teach all levels

(07:40):
right through to mastery thatthen you start to learn how to
do this, um, and to help othersand to earn a great income as a
professional healer.
So.
The reason I've told you thisstory is'cause not many people
know that there's this sacred,um, attunement experience in
reiki.
If they've heard about a reikiatunement, they don't know what

(08:01):
it is.
So I hope this has answered thatquestion for you.
