Welcome to Episode 20 of "Conversations with Dr. Gabriela Ilie and guests"! My guest today is Cindy Lora-Renard, who is not only a dear long-time friend but also an author. Join us as we delve into her latest book, "Spiritual Coupling: A Guidebook for Experiencing a Holy Relationship," which is now available on Amazon (you can find Cindy’s new book here: link to Cindy’s book). In this conversation, Cindy discusses relationships, the process of growth, and how we can either grow apart or grow together.
Cindy shares insights about the nature of Spirit within all of us, emphasizing that Spirit remains the same regardless of the circumstances we perceive in our surroundings. We explore the concept of the call for Love, and how a call for Love doesn’t withhold perfect love from anyone regardless of the form the call for Love takes.
We talk about conflict and how to approach a conflict in relationships. What attitude serves best given any circumstance. We talk about Ralph Emerson’s quote as a recipe for living each day with “too high a Spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense” and how this is part of living with a forgiving attitude and a way to a Holy Relationship.
We also emphasize the importance of allowing our partners to grow at their own pace and in their own unique way. This element is integral to cultivating a Holy relationship. On the other hand, adopting parental roles or stifling our spouse can indicate characteristics of a special relationship.
Cindy shares insights on the allure of spirit and how it manifests within a Holy Relationship. Lastly, our discussion leads us to the realm beyond the battleground of right and wrong. We delve into the metaphorical "field" that Rumi referred to, a place we all yearn for, often without even realizing it. We explore the ease with which we can choose to enter that field and remain there, provided we are ready.
