Season 4, Episode 31 - Adam Darowski

We're delighted to be rejoined in this episode by Adam Darowski, an Executive Director of Design for Sports Reference LLC. You know, the entity that brings us sports fans websites like Baseball-Reference, Pro Football-Reference, the subscriber site Stathead, and, now, the Immaculate Grid (for professional baseball, football, basketball [men's & women's], hockey, and soccer).

We catch up with Adam about all things Sports Reference and Immaculate Grid; his interest in baseball research where his current fixation builds on the work of author Scott Simkus's 2014 book, Outsider Baseball: The Weird World of Hardball on the Fringe, 1876-1950, as well as that of fellow researcher, Von Spalding; the trio has curated the professional baseball 4,000-hit club (presently 18 strong, but Miguel Cabrera is 19 hits shy but recently signed to play in the Venezuelan Professional League this fall). We also discuss Adam's growing interest in collecting trading cards (especially of those Outsider All-Stars he's researching).
