Jesus demonstrated His divine authority through miraculous healings, yet we still face the reality that He doesn't always heal everyone today. Through the story of a Roman centurion's faith, Peter's mother-in-law's restoration, and an evening of mass healings, we learn that Jesus has supreme power over sickness and disease. The centurion's humility, compassion, understanding, and faith amazed Jesus and provides a model for how we should approach God with our needs. We live in the tension between God's kingdom already present and not yet fully realized. While we should believe God can heal and ask Him for the impossible, we must also trust His wisdom when He chooses not to heal, knowing that complete restoration awaits us in eternity.
