It's the countertop series! Last week was all about quartz.
Today, LAMINATE!
Definition:
Laminate is a combination of plastic and paper—interestingly, though, generally not recycled—and sometimes board. These materials are formed into a thin layer and colored or manufactured with naturalistic or textured designs. This layer is then laminated to particleboard or chip board. (Bobvila).
Fun facts:
- Laminate countertops are only a bit over 100 years old.
- Laminate as a product was invented by engineers from the Westinghouse company.
- The bottom layers of a laminate counter are made of brown craft paper -- literally the paper grocery bags!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
