Episode #11 - Surrender vs. Resignation and Power vs. Control with Mike Allen

Mike Allen is a breathwork facilitator, one of the founders of the Heare Brotherhood, and an example of someone who lives a life in alignment with his beliefs. This episode explores several dyads of counterfeit emotions that flow through our lives. Mike and Curtis dive deep into some of the most transcendent emotions we can feel, like hope, gratitude,  surrender, and power. They talk about how control is the counterfeit of power and at the same time the opposite of surrender. The ideas of existentialism are explored in practical ways to find gratitude in all aspects of life, including pain. This beautiful conversation toward living a life of acceptance for everything we have been given creates a completely different way to view our existence. Mike talks about how multiple cultures use the same word for breath and spirit, or the energy inside. This spirit creates a familiarity with the divine.
