Carter Faith is an up-and-coming Country Music artist and songwriter who released her debut EP "Let Love Be Love" in 2021. Carter joins Country Music Made Me to discuss the impact her grandfather had not only on her love of Country Music but also her confidence to perform on local stages in her hometown of Davidson, North Carolina, how songwriting at the age of 16 created a spark that helped carry her to Belmont University, and the performance at an Open Mic during her first trip to Music City that inspired her to chase a career in music. Carter and Brendan talk about how she balanced being an artist and a student after her debut music caught fire, the confidence boost she received after winning the ASCAP Songwriters Showcase in 2019, and how she's evolved as a songwriter since moving to Nashville.
