I am joined by two amazingwomen from our Couture family
Raquel, who is our regionalmanager, and Nicole, one of our
(00:35):
incredible nurse practitioners.
Not only are they powerhouseleaders in the world of
aesthetics, but they are bothexpecting.
We're going to chat about theunique journey of pregnancy, how
it intersects with beauty andself-confidence, and what
treatments are safe or not safeduring this exciting time.
So let's jump in.
Thank you both for being heretoday, so I'll go first.
(00:58):
So, nicole, sorry, when, whenare you?
Um, when did you?
Well, we were just talkingabout this before we started,
but when are you due?
When's your expected due date?
Speaker 2 (01:07):
So my expected due
date is November 10th, um, but
we may go a little early, causeI was early with my first
daughter, so we'll see.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
And Raquel when are
you due Mine's December 8th,
okay, so all right, so coming up.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
So, Nicole, what are
you?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
you do know what
gender you're having yes, I'm
having another little girl, um,and then I have a daughter at
home and a stepson, so this willbe three for us, raquel, what
are you expecting?
Speaker 3 (01:35):
I'm having a little
boy okay, I have a.
We have a 10 year old umdaughter, so she's super excited
that she doesn't have to shareany of her things perfect, all
right.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
So how are you
feeling right now?
Just physically, emotionally, aesthetically, what are you
feeling?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I'm tired.
Let me tell you I am tired.
Um, it's hard to getcomfortable at night these days.
Uh, sleeping.
I'm a stomach sleeper, which isI know it's bad guys, I know
it's bad, um, but now I'm beingpregnant and not being able to
sleep on my stomach and havingto like sleep with my on my
sides and then just like havingto pee in the night and just
constantly tossing and turningand then getting up and like
(02:11):
working all day and then cominghome to a toddler.
It's definitely definitely alittle exhausting, but overall I
mean pretty good, just justtired sleep is definitely um.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
I'm also a stomach
sleeper so it's like you look
like a rotisserie chicken, liketurn to the left, turn to the
right, turn to the left, turn tothe right.
Then you got to get up.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Then, when you
finally get comfortable, it's
like oh, now I have to pee, yeah, so yeah have any of you, or
either of you, experienced thepregnancy glow that they say,
that you get, or what would yousay aesthetically, yeah, what
are you?
What are you feeling right now?
Did you get that glow, or areyou feeling a little blah?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Definitely not me.
I definitely have not gottenthat glow.
I don't think I got it with mydaughter's pregnancy either.
Um, I I don't know.
They say, girls, take yourbeauty.
And I a thousand percentbelieve that.
Um.
I'm more breaking out just morehorm um with my daughter so I
have not gotten the glow, but Iwill say Rocky looks very glowy
today.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
I he will.
He has treated me pretty well, other than we like to eat, so on
that part, not that great.
But my skin actually, everybody's like oh, you're
glowing.
And I'm like really becauseI've been gotten, I've been
getting lazy, I'm not gonna lie.
I just washed my face and I puton a cleanse like myer and
moisturizer.
I don't do all my skincareanymore, so I'm just like.
I washed my face with a makeupwipe last night because I was so
(03:29):
tired.
I'm like, but thanks.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
She's treating me
right.
She is not wrong.
She walked in.
Was it Tuesday?
You were in this fall.
She walked in and I was likeyour skin looks so good it's
going like thanks, I just washedit.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, yeah, I'm
jealous.
Okay, I'm jealous.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I'm over here with my
30 products trying to get glowy
, and I'm opposite.
So I think we've proved ourpoint that we just said Nicole's
girl takes the glow boys reallygiving it to Rocky.
So scientific proof, right,yeah.
So what has surprised you mostabout your body, your skin, the
overall vibe of pregnancy?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Um, I mean, pregnancy
is just like, honestly, a
really weird miracle.
Um, it's obviously a blessingthat you're able to get pregnant
and have a baby, Um, and justto see your body change.
I think it's a littlechallenging, Um, especially for
me.
Um, being in aesthetics, I wason a weight loss journey before
I got pregnant and then wedecided, of course, after I lose
(04:28):
60 pounds, we decided thatwe're going to expand our family
and I think it's a littlechallenging mentally to watch
the weight go the opposite way, even though it is for a good
cause.
I think it's a littlechallenging kind of seeing your
body change that way, but it'sstill exciting.
A little challenging kind ofseeing your body change that way
, Um, but it's still exciting.
So, and then obviously it makesyou excited for um, you know
(04:52):
afterward, and motive I shouldsay motivated afterward to get
back to where I was before then.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah, no, I think
same thing, Like I was also you
know we were all on like our,the skinniest we've ever been
Like you know, and it's you hitthat point where you're like
it's so nice to like wear likethe smaller sizes and I got rid
of all my like fat clothesbecause I was like, oh, like I'm
a medium, now, okay, you can'ttell me nothing.
And then now it's like it is,it's like I'm like back to my
(05:17):
original weight and it's like, okay, like you are growing
another human being and, like Isaid, me and my son do love to
eat.
So it's like it is a littlediscouraging, but it is like you
have this like wonderfulopportunity to like create life
and like this is my first.
So my daughter is my husbandhad her.
(05:37):
Of course, she's like mystepdaughter, but she's really
my daughter, but so this is myfirst time like actually
carrying a baby.
So, um, but so this is my firsttime like actually carrying a
baby.
So it's like so cool to see, like, like you feel the move and
like you see them on, you know,on the little ultrasound, and
it's like, okay, this is why Igained 60 pounds because he's
just in there doing his thing.
So, um, you have to giveyourself a little grace.
(05:59):
So it is hard, definitely likethink, looking in the mirror and
being like, oh, like I waslooking so good and now my
ankles are swollen.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
I can't see my feet
when I look down, is there
anything that you expected tofeel?
So I'll go with Rocky first.
Is there anything you expectedto feel being your first time
and not knowing what pregnancywas going to be like?
Is there anything you expectedto like feel, whether it was
physically, emotionally, whatever it is, that is
different than what you thoughtit was going to be?
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Yeah.
So I guess, like, um, when Ifirst found out like I, I really
didn't have any symptoms.
So I was like, and then theyobviously like make you wait
until you're like a certainamount to do like your first
appointment, and it's like, areyou?
There's something in there LikeI, really, other than like like
I was hungry all the time but Ialso like wasn't doing my
weight loss job.
So it's like, is it because ofthe baby or is it because I just
stopped injecting myself, youknow?
(06:52):
So, um, it was definitely likereally not having like symptoms,
which I'm super grateful forbecause I know Nicole was going
through it, so I'm so sorry um,and then like, like I just I.
I'm now, uh, 24 um weeks and Ijust started feeling him and
it's like they always ask me doyou feel me?
Do you feel me?
I'm like, I don't know what I'msupposed to be feeling like.
(07:13):
Is it gas?
Is it him moving?
Like I'm not sure.
But then, like, once you likeyou'll know, you'll.
It's a, it's a differentfeeling, but everybody tells you
you'll know, and then you don'tknow until you actually feel
and you're like're like, oh okay, that's him moving.
But yeah, I guess that would bemy.
That would be like thedifferent.
Also, like your body changes somuch and like I develop carpal
(07:33):
tunnel, like I thought you getthat when you're like older I'm
only 25, guys, I got old ladyhands.
But that's what these kids do toyou.
They just change everything.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
He hasn't even come
out yet.
Yeah, he hasn't even come out.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
I'm like causing all
this chaos.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Nicole, is there
anything?
So this is your secondpregnancy.
Is there anything differentwith this pregnancy than when
you have with your first one?
Speaker 2 (08:00):
No, I feel like I
knew right away because with
both pregnancies, um,immediately like my breasts got
so tender and um, that was likemy first sign.
And once I they got tender, Iwas like okay, like I think we
gotta take a test.
Um, and then I felt okay, um,obviously, like Rocky said, you
have to like wait to go see yourdoctor, so, um, but um, but
(08:23):
then right around like six causeI think I found out like four
weeks and then around six toeight weeks, um, I was like dry
heaving, puking.
I was not blessed like Rockywith this beautiful boy that
makes her glow.
Um, I was the total oppositelike dry heaving, super nauseous
, like the worst food aversions.
I literally didn't have carbsfor nine months on triseptide
(08:47):
and now that's all I could eatwas cereal like Cheerios, and
bread and watermelon.
Um, but, um, with both mypregnancies I was kind of really
sick in the beginning untilabout 16 weeks, and then my
second trimester was great, likeI literally felt good, I had
more energy back, um, and thennow, going into the third
trimester or in the thirdtrimester, just getting more
(09:07):
tired and uncomfortable.
You're like watching your bodychange more, like you're getting
bigger, it's getting harder toput, like my shoes on you know,
tie my shoes and like go to thebathroom, get up in the morning,
you know things like that.
So it's kind of it's a reallycool process, like Raku was
saying, like feel them grow andwatch your body grow with them.
But definitely, you know, hasits challenges.
(09:28):
But I feel like both mypregnancies were pretty similar.
I'm also high risk with thispregnancy, like I was with my
first one.
So I have all those kind ofappointments and things that you
know kind of make it sometimesa little bit challenging with
work, you know, trying to fitall those in.
But all worth it, get to seethem more and make sure they're
doing okay.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
So I always hear
everyone talk about weird
cravings that people get whenthey're pregnant.
Have you had any weird foodcravings?
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I wouldn't say like,
okay, so I eat McDonald's every
day for breakfast.
I guess that's a craving,because I always get a bacon,
egg and cheese bagel with anorange juice.
And if you ask my husband, like, because he like, likes
McDonald's I, before I gotpregnant, I hate McDonald's.
Like I could not stand thethought of McDonald's.
And then now, like, I make it apoint to like stop and get.
(10:14):
And like the girls that aredriving through know me, it's so
bad.
She's like hi, sweetie, how areyou?
Like I'm doing great things.
She's like they got your orderwrong.
You would never order a sausagebagel.
I'm like the fact that you knowthat is a little concerning for
me because that means I'm heretoo often.
Um and soda I know it's alsomcdonald's and soda, not not
good um combinations but nothealthy.
(10:34):
Um, I think also.
But like, because, also likebefore, because I was like
weight loss're, like eating allthis healthy food and I never.
And now, like I have to have aPepsi like every day, like, and
I wish I could have two or three, but I can't, I have to stop at
one.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
For me, my first
trimester couldn't eat much, so
it was Cheerios and watermelon.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
She couldn't eat
anything.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Literally anything.
It was horrible.
And then my second trimester, for some reason like, egg rolls
and carrots were like life, likecarrots dipped in ranch I was
obsessed with.
And then egg rolls, butspecific kind, like not really
greasy kind the specific kindfrom Publix that you put in the
air fryer.
Those are my favorite.
And then now my thirdtrimesterester.
I don't know what my obsessionis, but tomato, cheese and bacon
sandwiches Lindsay will tellyou I was like.
You know that what sounds sogood right now is the tomato,
(11:29):
cheese and bacon sandwich andliterally I've probably had like
seven in the last two weeks um,so I would say that's my
craving right now.
Um, nothing like super weird, like some people crave some like
really weird crazy stuff.
Um, but not something I wouldnormally be.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Like I have to have
it, but those things yeah, the
day that you went home and yousent me the picture of that
sandwich of your, I was like Ineed to make it looked good, it
looked so good.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, it's been a,
it's been a thing lately so
let's talk beauty, let's talkthe aesthetics world.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
So what products or
routines have become absolute
staples for you during pregnancy, if any?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
uh, staples for me.
Obviously because I've beenmore acne oh, I'm always acne
prone, but especially more withpregnancy and changes in
hormones.
Um, is going to be my skincareroutine, but being pregnant, you
have to.
I had to take out a lot ofthings like my retinols and my
more acne fighting products likesalicylic acid and glycolic
(12:32):
that I would normally do to kindof combat my acne skin.
I can't really use that anymore.
So I've been trying to keep myskincare regimen like simple but
still have regimen to like keepmy breakouts under control.
So I usually do like a gentlecleanser.
I love doing the hydranity mist.
I'm obsessed because with thehypochlorous acid it kills 90%
(12:55):
of bacteria on the skin within30 seconds.
So that's a stable like everyday, like I have to use that
because that's really stable, like every day, like I have to
use that because that's reallyone of like the main acne things
I can use right now.
Um, and then just like a reallylike light moisturizer or like
hyaluronic acid serum and thenlike sunscreen.
That's really.
I just try to keep it prettysimple because, um, sometimes
(13:15):
less is more, especially whenyou're going through all these
hormonal changes and you want tomake sure you're using like
just safe products.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Yeah, no, I bare
minimum for me because I have no
energy.
So I'd definitely say, like adental cleanser and a
moisturizer I'm really loving wegot the SkinMedica Steramide.
We got the SkinMedica CeramideI do like a little bit of a
thicker, but not thick whereit's like greasy, but it's like
still feels light enough.
(13:45):
So I've been loving that.
And then sunscreen, becausesometimes I don't have the
energy to put on makeup.
So a little tinted sunscreenand some mascara and a lip balm
and you're good to go.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Well, you both look
beautiful every time I see you,
so it's working.
You're good to go, Well youboth look beautiful every time I
see you, so it's working.
What is um?
What are some things thatyou've had to change as far as
your routine goes when it comesto like lasers and injectables
and treatments?
What are some things that?
Are there any treatments thatyou still are able to?
Speaker 3 (14:12):
do and that you're
loving.
I can't do anything.
It's very sad.
It's so sad because then, allof a sudden, we want to add all
these new treatments, exosomesand NAD, and me and Nicole are
just sitting here like it's hardas an injector every day having
to do these on your clients andthen you look wrinkly Like I'm
like don't judge me.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
And everyone's like,
stop, you're fine.
I'm like no, this is probablythe wrinkliest I've been in a
long time Because I love myneurotoxins and it's hard to
like sometimes quote people andrecommend these services and I'm
like, dang, I really want Imiss mine.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I want to do it not
that I go crazy.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
You know, I do my lip
filler, maybe like once a year,
um, but of course I'm due likenow and I can't do it, um, and I
love my microneedling and it'snot really like recommended, so
I have to stay away from that.
And and we just added theexosomes, so all these
treatments that, like, I've beenso excited and waiting to do
and now I just have to keepwaiting.
But it's okay, it's worth it.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
What's your, what's
your one treatment that you miss
the most.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
What I miss the most
is probably going to be disport
because of my expressions in myface, like my wrinkles, like
look at this, this is bad.
Not that I go crazy, like I gopretty natural, but I don't like
to have that much movement, like I don't like for people to
be like see all that.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
So I probably miss
that the most.
I miss my trisepatite.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Oh yeah, I miss it so
much.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
I love that too much.
And laser hair.
I lasered my whole body and Ifeel like your hormones.
I did all that work and it alljust came right back, so those
are my two.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Nicole.
So, from a medical standpointas a nurse, why, for anyone who
may not know, or anyone who ispregnant or thinking of you know
, expanding their family?
Why are there so many thingsthat you can't do when you're
pregnant?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
So there are some
things that you probably could
do while pregnant, butunfortunately no one ever wants
to take the risk and do theresearch on pregnant women and
potentially cause harm to adeveloping baby or fetus.
So a lot of the things are justnot tested.
So, unfortunately, like thescience behind it, they'd
(16:33):
probably be okay, causesometimes things don't penetrate
or go as deep as what, to whereit could actually get to the
baby, but no one just ever wantsto test it and no one really
wants to take that risk.
Like I wouldn't want to take arisk on my kid, I wouldn't
recommend the risk on anybodyelse's kid.
So until there's some way AIway or something that they can
(16:54):
do research and find a littlebit more studies that it would
be safe and not cause anycomplications, then I think a
lot more people in the aestheticindustry and a lot more OBs
would be more prone to promotingsome things for pregnant women.
But there's just not a lot ofresearch behind it at this time,
so they don't recommend it.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Is there a time that
people have to wait after giving
birth to start doing treatmentsagain?
Speaker 2 (17:19):
So normally,
depending on the treatment,
you'd probably want to wait atleast six weeks to be cleared by
your OB.
Usually, you know your body'sgoing through a lot of hormonal
changes, it's recovering.
I mean, you just gave birth, which is like a big big thing,
um.
So I would say for mosttreatments it's probably at
least six weeks, could be more, depending on your delivery and
whatever medical situationshappen during your pregnancy.
(17:41):
Um, so you'd always want to getclearance from your OB.
Um, but it depends also ifyou're breastfeeding.
So if you're breastfeeding, umafter delivery and after the
baby, um, even whilebreastfeeding, it's not
recommended to do neurotoxins,it's not recommended to do
fillers, not recommended to dosome medical grade skincare
products and um laser treatments.
(18:02):
So even um through the courseof breastfeeding, we wouldn't
recommend it.
So, um again, until thoseresearch studies are done and
there's more evidence.
So it could be six weeks.
If you're not breastfeeding, itcould be longer if you are.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Are there any
treatments that you were
surprised to find out that werenot pregnancy safe Like?
Are there anything that eitherof you were like man I can
probably still do this while I'mpregnant and then you found out
, or something the opposite, something you thought you
couldn't do, couldn't use, andfound out that it was probably
okay.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Um, I mean, I thought
like microneedling honestly
would be okay because andthere's not really a lot of
studies that says it's not okaybut you know, you're just kind
of like causing inflammationbelow the skin.
It's not like penetrating likesuper deep into like where most
would believe it would affectthe baby or anything.
So I would have thought thatwould have been safe.
But again, there's just notresearch behind it so they don't
(18:56):
recommend it.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I would be like
facials, like there's different
facials, like love me a fire andice facial and um, some of the
stuff that's like in theirproducts.
Like and I just had ahydrafacial with Cynthia in
Winter Park and she made my, shemade me my own little pregnancy
concoction and made it safe.
But it's like I didn't realize, like how many things like her
(19:18):
little ingredients are in therethat are not safe.
We just think, oh, it's afacial, you know, it's not like
a laser or anything.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
So I think that would
be my biggest like oh, I didn't
know, we couldn't do that.
Yeah, there's definitely thingswhen it comes to facials that
we can adjust to make itpregnancy safe, but there is a
lot of stuff in some of theingredients that we use that
you're like oh, you shouldprobably stay away from this,
but we're we're pretty good atbeing able to adjust that, which
is nice.
But yeah, there are a lot ofclients who come in and they're
like, oh, I didn't even think totell you.
You know, if we ask you knowany pregnancy or breastfeeding,
they didn't even think to tell, because they think, oh, it's
just a facial, but still thingsthat you need to tell your
(19:54):
provider.
So, in this era that you're inright now, what does feeling
beautiful look like to you rightnow?
Has this changed since becomingpregnant?
Speaker 2 (20:08):
I think being
pregnant, just your hormones are
everywhere.
So you I feel like never feelamazing.
You know your body's changing.
You know your breasts hurt, you're breaking out, you're
getting bigger.
So I think there's a lot ofthings that kind of make you
feel like kind of gross aboutyourself.
I mean, obviously, like it's allbeautiful things, Like you're
(20:30):
creating a life, you're creatinga human, but mentally and
physically, like just the waythat you feel, I don't think
like you ever feel like amazing,Maybe for like a couple weeks
in the second trimester, butthen, like in the first
trimester, definitely not me,and the third trimester,
definitely not me as well.
But I think you know havingsupport of, like you know your
(20:51):
co-workers and like you knowfamily and friends and spouses
or boyfriends and everything.
I think having that supportsystem, that having that
reminder like you are beautiful, like you look great, like
there'll be times I'm like, oh,I look disgusting, they're like
shut up, you look great, youknow um.
So I think just having thatsupport system really helps you
like feel your best, um, andjust trying to do things that
make you feel good, like stayinghydrated, you know, trying to
(21:14):
eat healthier, like things likethat are going to make you feel
better, obviously during thistime when you're not feeling
your best.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah, no, I think
it's definitely like, even
though you're growing thisamazing like little human and
you're doing your body doing allthese amazing things, think
it's definitely hard for you tolike feel good.
Like you wake up tired, you'relimping because your sciatica
hurts, you're out of breath justfrom walking, you know, to the
front door, um, but it is like, definitely having that like
support system and we have suchamazing like team, like our team
(21:44):
is just so amazing.
All the girls that work, youknow they're, you know we're all
like a big family.
So, like you know, and I havethe luxury of going to all the
locations they're like, oh, youlook so great today, rocky, I'm
like really, because like Idon't feel great but it's, it's
definitely having that likesupport and just, and also like
thinking in the back of yourmind like, okay, like, like my
husband tells me all the timehe's like, yeah, but you're like
, you know you're growing lifeand like you're pregnant, like
(22:05):
I'm like I know, but my pantsdon't fit and I can't see my
feet.
Um, so it's definitely likehaving that awesome support and,
you know, having that at homeand at work as well.
We have an amazing team who, like, who keeps reminding us
like all, like, whatever me andnicole it's funny because ashley
gillen made a comment.
I was on a call with her andshe's like, um, I was in a coey
and me and nicole were there andshe's like, everybody keeps
(22:27):
offering you guys like food orlike you guys need anything.
They kept coming in, likethey're always checking on us,
they're always making sure thatwe're okay.
Um, so, having that goodsupport system, it helps us feel
better than we actually feel.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah they treat us
like pregnant princesses over
there, so um I was vacuuming theother day and they're like you
shouldn't vacuum.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
I'm like, why'm like?
It's not happy.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
What would you say to
other expecting moms who feel
disconnected from their bodiesor appearance while they're
pregnant?
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I would just say,
like you know, give yourself
grace.
Like you know you're creatingsuch a beautiful thing and even
though it's going to be kind ofa rough couple months or not
couple but nine months it's soworth it in the end, like when
you get to hold that baby andyou get to, you know, spend that
time and watch that littlehuman grow.
Like you know, with my daughtergrowing she's three now and
(23:17):
it's just like crazy, like howfast she's grown and how quickly
they grow and just seeing howquickly they develop and getting
to experience that it all makesit worth it.
And you know you can still haveget yourself back.
You know, during this pregnancytime, when you gain weight or
you are wrinkly or you, you know, have acne or whatever, all
(23:39):
that you can get back.
You know you can still be thebest version of yourself.
This is just a time where yourkid needs you and to develop and
then, once they're here, you'llbe able to.
You know you have the supportof people to get back.
So I think it's important forsome people get stuck after
pregnancy, like thinking likethey have to stay that way, and
(24:00):
I know kind of after my daughterI kind of thought the same way.
Like I gained some weight and Iwas like oh, this is just how
I'm meant to be.
But I think it's nice now goingin with the mindset of like I
lost all that weight beforepregnancy, so now I'm like
determined to like lose it again, which gives me motivation to
be like the best version ofmyself after pregnancy no, I
(24:21):
definitely agree.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
I was ordering
Christmas pajamas yesterday, I'm
like, and I ordered my myregular size, because I was like
, okay, he's gonna be born threeweeks before Christmas.
That gives me three weeks like, and it's not like saying like
you have to lose like all thebaby weight, but it is
motivation, just because, like,we were so motivated before and,
like you know, we were likebest versions of ourselves, like
(24:42):
I've never been that smallbefore.
Um, so I think definitely like,if you're expecting mom and
you're feeling like disconnected, like just know that it's okay,
like and try to do things thatmake you happy.
Like schedule a facial, schedule, a massage, like go get
your hair done.
Like, um, those little thingslike make a difference.
(25:03):
Like kind of like pamperyourself, um, because it is
sometimes like a little easy tolike let yourself go in a way,
just because you're so tired.
Like you wake up and you'relike I don't even want to brush
my hair, I'm like, but I have to.
So, um, definitely, like youknow, doing little things that
make you happy, um, like notfeeling bad because you want to
eat a cupcake or whatever likeit.
(25:25):
You know, at the end of the day, you're growing life, like your
body's gonna change you.
You're not going to be the sameUm, and you're going to have
this like wonderful little giftafterwards that you're going to.
They're going to be so cute andtiny.
It's like you're a reward.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
It's a cute little
reward If you had to design the
ultimate new mom beauty day.
What is on the itinerary?
New mom like after baby, yeah, post baby, you can do any
treatments that you want.
So if we're breastfeeding pastthat, what nothing's off limits
of what you can't do anymore somy ideal day after I'm cleared
(26:00):
with everything you're clearedwith everything.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
You're good to go so
I'd wake up, maybe go get a
mimosa, get some breakfast andthen maybe start my day with
like a facial.
Um, and then I would go getsome neurotoxins to just make
myself feel nice and refreshed.
Um, while I'm there, I'dprobably get some triseptide to
(26:24):
curb my hunger and get me backto my pre-pregnancy weight and
then do some laser treatments toget the hair that I've grown
through changes in hormones andthen do some laser treatments.
What else would I do?
I would probably do get myskincare, like get my skincare
routine back, start getting allmy products back.
(26:46):
Get a pedicure like somewherelike I don't know, just like an
ultimate spa day where you canjust do everything that you love
.
That makes you feel good.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Yeah, no, I mine
would be.
I would go get me a taco and amargarita, because I've never
craved a margarita because I'venever craved a margarita.
So much then while beingpregnant.
Um, I would definitely get myyou know, disport, my
trisepatide, like, honestly, ifI could like just bring it to me
up to the hospital when I getbirth on a platter.
(27:18):
Um, oh, I really want a JerseyMike's um sub.
Oh, no, uh, jimmy johns sorrysub, I really want me some deli
meat.
That would be on the list too.
Um, and then laser, like I likejust strap me down and laser me
(27:38):
from head to toe.
That would be my ideal spa day.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Sounds like some
pretty good days.
All right, well, we're ready.
Yeah, just close the spa.
You guys, come in, we'll do itall.
We got it All right.
Well, do either of you have anylast words or final advice or
anything for anyone goingthrough the same journey or
might potentially be goingthrough the same journey in a
little bit?
Speaker 2 (28:04):
I would say just
enjoy it.
I know it's sometimes hard toenjoy it when you don't feel the
greatest and when it's likescary you may have like unknown
situations, like with me beinghigh risk, like I'm a little
apprehensive with eachappointment.
But just enjoy it Like it'ssuch a beautiful time it goes by
really fast and give yourselfgrace and just know that these
(28:26):
services are still going to behere when you're done.
So do what works for you now, make it simple, make it work and
then, as soon as you're clearedand ready to go, do something
for you and get back in thereand get yourself to be the best
version of yourself that youwant to be.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Yeah, absolutely
Enjoy every moment it does.
It goes by so fast Like Iremember the day I found out to
now I'm like, oh, december'salmost here, like August is
almost over.
You know, enjoy every moment, give yourself grace, you know,
just know that it even though itseems hard some days, and it
seems like you know, even thoughit seems hard some days, and it
(29:06):
seems like you know, it's like,oh, this is not a fun time.
Not everybody gets the chanceto be a mom and to carry a baby,
and you know, and go throughall these like not so fun steps.
So definitely enjoy it.
And yeah, kator will be herewhen you're ready afterwards
We'll zap you up, yeah.
