Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey witches, welcome
to my third chat.
I'm very excited this is like athing now, now that there's the
magic number of three.
I'm Jenny C Bell and in today'schat I'm going to share my
journey with fortune telling ordivination, card reading, all of
those things.
So, as always, make yourselfcozy, maybe pour yourself a cup
(00:26):
of tea or iced tea.
It's a little warm here today.
I could also refer to myselftoday as Farmer, jenny.
I am wearing overalls for thefirst time in a while.
I tend to wear all black, but Isort of redid the closet,
spring cleaning and all of that, and found some Levi's overalls
(00:46):
and wearing them today.
So maybe you want to put onyour overalls too.
We can be twins, okay.
So back to my journey withfortune telling.
So I do call myself a fortuneteller.
I don't use the term psychic ormedium.
I do believe that there arepsychics and mediums.
(01:07):
I do believe that I havemoments where I am psychic and I
am also talking to people whohave passed on, especially for
some reason, when I give peopleReiki.
I have a lot of loved ones comethrough, especially pets and
grandmothers, and I don't knowif that's because I personally
(01:29):
connected so much to mygrandmothers and I know they're
with me that they're like oh,bring this other person's
grandma in for them too.
I don't know, but and I'm ananimal person too, so I'm not
sure.
But I don't use those termsbecause I like to use cards or
charms or something physical inmy fortune telling, and I'll get
(01:52):
to that in a moment.
I do believe that everyone canread cards.
Whether you call them tarot ortarot doesn't matter to me.
You can use playing cards ororacle cards, but I believe
everyone can have the ability.
That's something that isn'tnecessarily.
You're not born with a gift, like everyone can just learn to
read the cards for themselves.
(02:13):
And I also believe thateverybody has the ability to
open up their clair senses,right?
So we're very familiar, I think, with the term clairvoyant, and
that's someone who receivesinformation through seeing it
right, and I actually thinkthat's pretty rare, because
there are people that have ahard time imagining things and
(02:34):
seeing things within their mindanyway, but those people will
get insights through, likepictures or symbols.
And then there are people thatare more clairaudient.
They hear, right.
They hear like snippets ofmusic.
It happens a lot to me when I'mdoing readings.
I often I can sing okay, butyou know, on cue not so much.
(02:56):
But I will often refer to asong in our coven and be like,
oh, for some reason this song'scoming up and I just share that
because I think and maybe itmeans something to somebody.
And I actually one time did areading for someone who I kept
hearing that song that Girl ison Fire and I told her like I
(03:17):
just don't know what this isreally coming through as a year
ahead reading and then, like sixmonths later, she reached out
with this long couple paragraphsexplaining how that song
actually really did fit and whyso it was really.
It was a real good confirmation.
So there's clear audience.
There's people that are able tojust get a sense right.
So they just have this.
You get this feeling, thissense, and I feel like that,
(03:40):
honestly, is probably the mostcommon People will say I just
had a feeling this would happen,or my stomach I had butterflies
, or I had a gut feeling.
It's like we can't alwaysarticulate where the feeling is
or how we got it right.
It's like that sixth sense andI think a lot of people have
that naturally, that intuition.
(04:01):
I just felt this is going tohappen, or I knew you were going
to call me right and that'smore of like a bodily sensation.
There are people that theirclear senses work with a sense
of smell.
That's, I think, really rare, but it's happened to me more
with ghost hunting than I wouldsay with like divination and
card readings, where you cansmell like cigarettes or
(04:23):
someone's perfume.
Sometimes when my grandmother,my grandma Jane, first passed
away, I would smell her lipstick.
Her lipstick had this verydistinct smell.
It smelled yummy, like as a kidI wanted to eat it and I would
smell that and I knew she waswith me.
And I think that happens a lotto people too.
You know they'll have a lovedone pass away and be like I
(04:43):
still smell their perfume.
Or if they smoke cigarettes, Ismell cigarettes and that came
through another time withanother loved one.
I smell like pipe smoke and Iit was another one, another sign
from somebody.
There are people that have acombination of all of them and
different, you know, have thesekind of different feelings.
(05:05):
There are people that it's likeif they touch something.
You know, if you watch TylerHenry, adore Tyler Henry, but
people will often bring himobjects that belong to loved
ones who pass and he'll holdthem and he often will say, like
sometimes other people comethrough and he's holding them,
but something about that touchhelps and that's really fun if
(05:25):
you're into experimenting withyour own kind of psychic
abilities, as going to anantique store or thrift store
and picking up different itemswith a friend and trying to get
a sense of who it belonged to,right, like holding your hands,
closing your eyes and askinglike who did this belong to?
And it's a really good.
It's a good way to stretch thatkind of psychic muscle.
So in my opinion, anybody canread cards.
(05:49):
It's some people are better atit than others.
Some people are, it's morenatural than others, so it's
easier for them.
And I think everybody can havethe ability to open themselves
up to their clear senses.
And I do feel for the most partthat people who are more gifted
or have worked on the openingit up more open these gifts more
(06:10):
.
A lot of times the gifts aren'tfor them.
Personally.
Sylvia Brown, famous psychic, had a quote about that Basically
, like the gift's not for me, Ican't use it for myself.
And again with Tyler Henry, ahuge fan, he has a show.
He had a show on Netflix beforethe live show where it was more
about his life and he could notuse his gift to figure out
(06:32):
something for his mother andit's.
You know, it's very hard if youread cards.
A lot of times people willstart practicing with loved ones
and they're like I don't knowif I'm very good at reading
cards.
Well, it's harder to read forpeople, you know, because you
second guess yourself.
It's harder to tell them maybethe truth.
It's harder to point out thingsthat maybe you don't want.
They may, you may feel likethey won't receive.
(06:54):
Well, it's just harder.
And it's also harder becauseyour energy is entwined.
So sometimes, sometimes whenpeople are first starting to
read cards, they'll read andkind of mix up who they're
reading for.
They might actually be readingfor themselves.
So I just think you know we allhave the ability.
I'll talk about my own littlejourney, though.
(07:14):
I just wanted to kind of getthat out there, because if
you're listening to the show andyou're thinking, well, I don't
know, I could never read cardsor whatever, I just don't think
that's true.
I don't think you can pick itup at any age.
We have a lot of people in ourcoven who are around my age and
are learning to do these thingsfor the first time in their life
and are doing great.
So it really it's any anytime.
(07:35):
You can learn this at any time.
So I have always been interestedin the weird since I was a
child.
I grew up I loved watching, like Sylvia Brown, when she
would be on, like MontelWilliams.
I loved watching her.
I watched Crossing Over withJohn Edward.
We had a Ouija board.
My mom was really intoastrology and numerology.
(07:58):
She kind of drew the line attarot cards like personally, she
did take me to after I beggedher to a reader at the age of 16
, and then let me get a readingwith her, which I'll talk about
in a little bit.
But you know, growing up itwasn't.
I mean, I knew it was weird, but it wasn't like taboo, it
wasn't unallowed.
(08:19):
I did not get any tarot cards, though, until the age of 18.
There was a superstition thatyou had to be an adult and had
to be gifted to you.
So I picked out the universalweight, which is illustrated by
Pamela Coleman Smith, butprettier, I think, color wise,
than the rider weight, and I didall the things.
I picked it out.
My mom gifted it to me for my18th birthday.
(08:40):
I got the red silk to keep inthe wooden box.
I cleansed them.
I like went through the cards.
I read books.
I tried to memorize and, by theway, I'm not good with numbers.
I actually have a didn't knowit wasn't until college I had a
professor who's like I think youhave dyscalculia, where you mix
up numbers, so numbers and Inot really.
So that was a struggle tryingto memorize the numbers.
(09:03):
Also, you know the imagery inthe Pamela Coleman Smith art is
very old and I had to learn theKabbalah.
Like that was part of mystudying.
I read the Royal Road and Istarted learning the Kabbalah
and started learning some of theHebrew symbols, because that's
that tarot.
(09:24):
In particular, I had to learnRoman numerals.
Like there was so many hurdlesfor an 18 year old who didn't
trust her own intuition.
Right, I had to.
There was like this I have to.
It was this belief in thenineties, like, for the most
part, is you have to study.
Like this is the Tarot is anhonor and you have to study it.
(09:45):
And at that time you know itwas still a mystery where it
came from.
One of the books I read said itwas from ancient Egypt and you
know it's all this kind of funstuff, so definitely had more
mystery surrounding it.
There weren't as many decks outthere.
I didn't even know what anoracle deck was.
I did, prior to that, try toread flying cards and I but
again I'm not great with numbersand I did try to read runes but
(10:09):
I have, as far as I have nolike like any heritage that
would be have used runes in mybloodline.
It just did not feel like itwas for me and I still only
really use runes for magic.
I don't read them unlessthey're a card deck, which is
different forever.
(10:31):
For a long time, since I was 18,I used it.
I studied.
I really treated it like aclass or a course.
I didn't think it was somethinglike I could just use my
intuition.
I had to learn the meaningsfrom the books.
And the reason why I'm sharingthis is because I don't think
that's the right way to approachit.
I do think that you should readthe history and you should
(10:53):
learn the symbols and all ofthat.
It's really fun.
But I don't think that youshould read the history and you
should learn the symbols and allof that.
It's really fun, but I don'tthink that's the way to read it.
I think the best way to read itis to see it as a story that's
being unfolded in front of youwhen you read multiple cards,
and that's I'll get to that in amoment.
So, anyway, at 16, I got myfirst card reading.
I, uh, it was this in NewJersey, in this woman's kitchen.
(11:14):
She was this middle-agedItalian woman.
My mom went for herself but Ibegged her to take me with her
and I was like, please, please, please, let me get one.
And the lady's, like I'll dothree cards for you, ask me
anything.
I was like tell me the loves ofmy life.
Right, I'm 16.
But let me tell you.
Uh, this woman actuallypredicted all three of my major
(11:35):
relationships.
And the last card was myhusband, who I'm still married
to.
Um described as a fair hairintellectual with a love for
history.
He was a history major and ahistory teacher.
Um, he does have blonde hairand blue eyes.
I mean, it was kind of crazyand it made me just.
I wrote it all down and I wasso excited and to me I didn't
(11:56):
know what I was looking at.
I don't remember the cards, butI do think they were like
either all pages, kings andknights that came up because I
remember them all being faceswhich if you read the tarot you
know that's actually pretty rare.
So I feel like it was spot on.
I have been told since fromother card readers and psychics
that I have a lot of guides whoare very pushy and very chatty,
(12:17):
so it makes sense that theywould have come through and
really given her the best kindof answer.
So I would read really just formyself and for loved ones.
I would read for like majorchanges in life.
Like I remember when I waspregnant with my son, I was just
wanted to make sure I had amiscarriage and I wanted to make
(12:38):
sure everything would be okayand I got the son card and I was
like okay, so I alreadyconfirmed, I already thought it
was a boy and then I knew he'dbe fun and that confirmed
everything for me and I reallydo think of him as like a light
in my life for a lot of reasons.
So that card really fit him.
I kept a journal of every singlereading I've ever done.
I still have it.
It was like this fake faux.
(13:01):
It's like a faux leatherjournal with like ancient
Egyptian hieroglyphics.
I think they're also fake.
I mean, I thought it was coolwhen I was 18.
I'm like this is so magical tosee something in an Indiana
Jones, but for hindsight it'spretty hokey.
So anyway, I did do that and Ikept everything and I never
(13:22):
really advertised it.
There was one Halloween partywhere I did tarot readings for
people, but it made me reallynervous because I was still not
trusting myself and alwaysreferencing the book and I felt
like that made me lookunprofessional and I just kind
of continued that way for a longtime.
And I have two interesting well, one one, I think, is the most
interesting story.
(13:42):
So I had a friend who had aseries of like horrible things
happen to her.
I'm not going to say her name, but she basically had a car
accident.
Going to say her name, but shebasically had a car accident.
She broke her leg and she was ateacher and she seemed to have
like she was a really goodteacher as far as I understand,
but she was having like terriblereviews as a teacher and it
(14:05):
seemed like she was going to getfired and then her baby was
really sick and also herboyfriend left her, who was the
baby daddy.
It was like all within now thatI know more about witchcraft
magic I'm taking a course onOlympias.
Now that I know more aboutthings I know that that was
(14:27):
definitely a curse.
And she came to me.
I was like I know, you knowstuff.
Like you know, I never told herI was a witch, but her mom and
I would talk a little bit.
Her mom definitely did witchythings.
She's like help, can you helpme?
And so I did a tarot readingand I discovered that there was
a curse placed, but not on her,it was actually on her child,
(14:48):
the baby.
And it was her mother-in-lawthat put the curse on the baby
because she didn't want them tobe together and wanted the
boyfriend to leave.
And so I told her that and sureenough, she found graveyard
dirt in the home and I suggestedthat she go to a healer and
(15:09):
excuse my terrible Spanish likea curandera.
I said I don't know much aboutthat, but I do know about, like,
the egg rolling and things likethat, and I really feel that
you need to take your son there.
And sure enough she took himthere and she said, yes, there's
a curse placed on him.
They did a bunch of limpias andeverything's fine now, but she
would for like years after, onhis birthday, she would just
(15:32):
send me a message like thank youfor having him here, like thank
you.
She really felt that withoutthat reading she wouldn't have
had the insight that it was himthat had the curse on him and to
go to get the healing and shereally thinks that maybe she
might've lost him because he wasreally sick with a fever for a
long time.
So, yeah, that was veryvalidating, but at the same time
(15:53):
, I was still like referring thebook because I was not trusting
myself.
So fast forward to 2019, 2020.
Actually, pre-pandemic.
I discovered Kyle Gray onInstagram I'm still new to like
Instagram and he's the angelwhisperer and I took a free
class with him and it was liketo meet your guardian angel and
(16:16):
at the time I was reading ACourse in Miracles.
So I was always, for a longtime, I was very anti anything
woo, woo.
I was just a, I was witchy andI really delineated Like I'm
witchy, I'm not a new age, likeI wasn't into that.
But reading A Course inMiracles was healing some kind
of wound that I had againstChristianity and it made me more
(16:40):
open and more curious and so Iwas like sure, I want to take
this free class to meet myguardian angel.
Let's see.
And I was so shocked that inthe meditation I immediately saw
my guardian angel and receivedhis name and I thought, okay,
this was already.
If you listen to my otherpodcasts, this is after my like
spiritual awakening, after I'vemeditated and did yoga every day
for a year and my life fellapart and I surrendered.
(17:01):
I just was really open.
I was really cracked open atthat point and I was like you
know what?
I don't have $300 to join angelteam, but I'm going to do it
anyway.
So I'd never done anything likethat.
I hadn't taken like an onlineclass since like really to just
to get like a master's.
(17:21):
It was since college.
I didn't take anything likethat and I don't know.
I just had a good feeling aboutKyle Gray and I still do.
I think he's wonderful.
So I took his course, say, forthe year.
You were part of angel team andyou did.
He did lives every month.
You had a little access toFacebook group, you got um.
(17:42):
He taught you how to readOracle cards and he also tuned
you Reiki style with 11archangels and mother Mary, and
that opened up a whole new worldto me.
I started working the Oraclecards and found them so much
easier.
I was like, wow, this is likenight and day, like I felt like
(18:02):
I could instantly know what theOracle cards are telling me,
where the tarot always felt likeI really had to work at it and
so I really loved doing that.
At the same time, I just gotinterested in Reiki and once we
moved to Oregon, I was trainedin Reiki I'm a Reiki master
which opened me up even more, Iwould say, to my gifts.
(18:24):
At the same time as working withthe Kyle Grace stuff, I started
working on opening my ownAkashic Records and getting
access to that and learning tochannel.
I channel very easily now.
It was quite a learning curveand to channel means we all
channel just want to be clear.
So if you read Big Magic, you'll see what I'm talking
about.
But basically it's the ideathat there's information out
(18:47):
there, either in the collectiveconsciousness or beyond, right
in the spirit world.
However, you want to say thatyou can access, and the reason
why I know I'm channeling andnot just not just me is because
it's things I never heard of.
It'll be like words I wouldn'tnormally use or information I
(19:09):
have to like later look up andconfirm that.
Oh yeah, that is true.
And so it was all at once thatI learned to channel.
I learned to go into my AkashicRecords, I learned to read
Oracle cards, I learned to workwith angels, I was attuned to
Reiki.
It was like all of these thingswithin a span of a couple of
years.
And then suddenly I could readtarot very easily without the
(19:33):
book.
And then suddenly I could readtarot very easily without the
book and I think there's a lotto it.
I think it was confidence.
Right, the reading oracle cardswas so much easier to give me
confidence.
But I also think it was mereally opening my clear senses,
like I really now.
When I read for people, I get alot of information.
It comes in in pictures.
(19:54):
I do past life readings and Iwill see the past life and then
I do my best to describe it.
I will hear music, like I said,I will sometimes feel presence
of loved ones or pets who havepassed.
I will get intuitive thingswhen I give people Reiki.
Like you need to drink this tea, it'll help your stomach, or
(20:17):
are you sure with this crystal?
And what was really nice aboutmy Reiki master teacher is.
I asked her when I went backfor my Reiki two and three you
know, when you give people Reiki, like, does information come in
or and what do you do with that?
And she said it always did.
But for the longest time shewouldn't say anything because
she just felt like maybe thatwas too far for a lot of people.
You know, reiki is already aleap for a lot of people to have
(20:38):
their energy moved and tobelieve in that.
But for you to say thatmessages are coming in is even
more.
But then she said she justcouldn't, didn't feel like she
should hold them back anymoreand she just started sharing and
people really loved that.
And so yeah, I think my fortunetelling.
The reason why I refer to myselfas a fortune teller is because
(21:00):
I think there's a lot ofpressure in the term psychic.
If I say to you I'm a psychic, then you're like okay, tell me
my future.
But or if I say to you I'm amedium, it's like okay, let me
talk to my grandma.
People think it's like.
I think people treat a lot ofpsychics and mediums like, um,
like an app in their phone orlike a telephone Like let me
(21:20):
just dial up and see whathappens, and it's just not
really fair.
So if you say you're a fortuneteller, that means I can use
cards, I can use uh, use pogsSometimes I can use charms, I
can channel, I can do like a mixof things.
I can read tea leaves Like Ican do like a mix of things.
I can read tea leaves like Ican just do a bunch of different
(21:41):
stuff and not have to.
It's more eclectic and I don'thave to kind of say like I only
read tarot or I'm only a psychic.
I like to just say I kind offree, flowing, right, free form,
and so really my journey is.
The lesson in this journey isthat anybody can do this but you
have to really trust yourself.
Like you can go at it the way Idid, where I really studied and
(22:05):
I didn't read for anybody butmyself for two years and I
really put in the work and Imeditated and I drew the cards.
I mean I really like immersedmyself in the imagery and
sometimes I still will dream inthe Pamela Coleman Smith imagery
or sometimes, when I'm usingother cards, that image will pop
in my mind right, and I reallysort of became one with them.
(22:29):
I think that's one approach.
Another approach is to see thetarot as a story, and that means
that you can't just pull one,but you can.
You can look at the image andtell me.
It's a really good exercise forany cards Look at the image and
tell me what's happening, like, pretend like you didn't ask a
question.
What's the story going on,right?
(22:51):
So if you look at, like thetower card, and you have these
people, it's on fire andlightning has struck it and
people are falling out thewindow.
Tell me the story.
Tell me what happened before, tell me what's happening now,
tell me what happened later.
And that's a really great wayto learn to use the cards
(23:12):
because really, like, a goodfortune teller is able to put
all the cards and the imagestogether into a story for the
client.
So the client's like okay, thisis the story of what's going on
right now.
So that's how I like to thinkof it.
I don't like to say I'm apsychic either, because the
future is always changing.
So, with card readings, why Ilike them so much is I can give
(23:32):
you insight that will help youchange your reality maybe now,
which will change the outcomethat I saw in the cards, and so
a lot of times, a lot of cardreading spreads, the thing will
be like final outcome, and Ijust don't agree with that,
because the whole point of usingthe cards is to get the inside
scoop so you can change thefinal outcome, and so I think
that's, you know, important tokeep in mind too.
(23:53):
I think other things that helppeople learn to read is
meditating, and I know I mean Iidentify as neurodivergent, I
know it's not easy to quiet yourmind or be still.
There's lots of forms ofmeditating, right, there's
mantras, there's walkingmeditation, like you don't have
to just lay there in silenceLike that's not for me either,
(24:15):
okay, like it's not.
But there's different ways, because I think of meditating as
opening.
That's opening to divineinformation, right?
So when you say prayers, you dospells, you do rituals, you are
saying and putting what youwant out there.
In order to receive and listen, you need to meditate or you
need to pull cards Like how, howare they going to communicate
(24:38):
back?
It's a two-way street.
If you're asking your angelsfor this, this and this, you
need to also open up for them totalk to you.
Well, girl, the reason whythat's not going to happen is
because you need to change this, this and this right, and that's
where I think the card readinggoes in.
Currently, I read cards everyday for myself.
I have I don't know how manycard decks, so for the longest
(25:02):
time I had the one card deck andthen I was really interested in
Kyle Gray's Angels andAncestors Prior to that.
So, yeah, I had the oneUniversal Weight Tarot forever.
And then I found a bird tarotdeck, or oracle deck, on Etsy
and I asked for it for myChristmas gift of 2019 because I
(25:22):
was like, you know, I've neverhad an oracle card.
Um, and it's really cute, butit's not for me.
It just I didn't really clickwith it.
It's not intuitive for me.
And then I bought angels andancestors, which is a really
great way to learn oracle, butalso a great way like a bridge
between oracle and tarot, because it's kind of set up like
a tarot, and I started workingwith that deck.
(25:43):
And then, at the time whenangel team was, when I went
through angel team kyle deckcreated a mega deck where you
took his angels out of angelprayers and you put them into
his um, oh, I can't remember thename of the card deck.
Now it's yellow and hasAscended Masters and Angels in
it.
But anyway you put them inthere and you make kind of this
(26:04):
mega deck of all Angels andAscended Masters and use that to
do readings, which I still use.
And then I became a contentcreator for different publishers
and then that's when thelibrary of card decks exploded.
I also live near a metaphysicallibrary and they get a lot of
cool used card decks and so Iwould buy them for like $5 or
(26:28):
sometimes get them for free, andjust became a collector.
I think they find me.
Honestly, I think the carddecks like just want to be I
don't know what I'm building.
I'm building some kind oflibrary for some use at some
point, but so I have like ahundred card decks probably and
so I read from them every day.
There's different things I liketo do, just kind of change it
(26:49):
up, but once a week I'll ask youknow, what do I need to know
for the week ahead?
And I like to pull from tarotor Oracle decks that are a
little more in-depth, wherethey're a little tricky, or I
just feel like they have a lotof layers, so that I can really
kind of think about that as theweek goes ahead and sometimes
I'll pull like angels, ascendantmasters or goddesses and be
(27:11):
like who's with me this week orwho do I need to work with this
week.
Once a month I use my tea leafreading cards and I ask what I
need to know for the month ahead, and then daily I usually will
do something like what do I needto know today?
Or I learned this from a bookon Hecate, entering Hecate's
(27:32):
cave, where it's what's a gatethat's closing and what's a gate
that's opening, and that'sreally good for tarot.
So it's like basically askingtoday, what's the energy that's
leaving and what's the energythat's coming in, and that's
good to know because sometimesmaybe you don't want the energy
that's coming in.
You can make some changes.
I also like to read at everynew moon and full moon and I
(27:53):
also like to read on all theSabbaths in general and I write
them all down, not the dailyones.
The Sabbaths in general, and Iwrite them all down, not the
daily ones, unless somethinginteresting pops up or crazy.
I also will read before I workwith somebody, like collaborate
with someone, or before I starta project.
You know, is this the rightproject for me?
I pretty much use cards all thetime.
The whole family uses cards Iread for I'm happy to read for
(28:16):
family and friends and theyreally are such an integral part
of my witchy practice nowbecause I do use them for
readings, but I also use them asaltar cards for focuses of
spells.
I will use them to make gridson.
I actually just had a videorecently in our coven where I
showed people how to make a tinycrystal grid with little
(28:36):
bottles of crystal chips on anon a tarot card and how to use,
you know, tarot and crystalstogether to make a tiny crystal
grid with little bottles ofcrystal chips on an on a tarot
card and how to use, you know, tarot and crystals together to
make a grid.
So it's really just at thispoint so deeply ingrained in my
practice.
Um, it feels second nature and Ifeel extremely comfortable
reading for other people wherewhen I first started, I had
(28:58):
finished up my year of KyleGray's Angel Team and I just
would offer them on Instagramfor whatever people wanted to
pay.
So sometimes someone would giveme like nothing and sometimes
people would pay more than Iwould want them to pay.
So it all kind of worked outand I think that's a really if
you're wanting to get someexperience but you don't want to
(29:19):
give your energy away for free, going that way is really great
because you'll gain a lot ofexperience in kind of a low
stakes manner.
Someone is knowing that you'rejust starting out and they can
pay what they want through Venmoor whatever.
They aren't expecting a wholelot, right, and I really
developed my skills that waybefore I actually started coming
(29:39):
up with prices, and I alwaysuse my cards to come up with the
prices as well, like asking youknow what's a good price and
things like that.
But I love it.
I was actually.
I think I just recently got ahundred sales on Etsy, so that
means I've done a hundredreadings through there, and that
was.
I did like 50 something priorto that with just practicing
(30:00):
with other people and peopleoften.
One question I do want toaddress this real quick is
people will ask you know, like Idon't understand why, like
cosmic records, readers, cardreaders, psychics, mediums
charge like it's just it's agift, okay, but we need to eat
too and it is a gift.
It's a gift of our energy andour time and we need something
(30:23):
back and money's energy, and sothat's why, you know, in a
perfect world I would be thelike local community herbalist,
slash witch, slash fortuneteller, and everyone would just
come and get that stuff for meand bring me like a goat or
bread or cheese, be like a greatbarter.
But they wouldn't have comeempty handed, like you come to
(30:43):
get a healing and when you'rehealed you leave and you would
bring me something back, Likeit's just the way it works.
And so, unfortunately, like I'mstill open to bartering, by the
way, and I do that sometimesfor readings but you know and we
, just you need to get somethingback.
So don't give your, don't giveyour magic away for free, ever.
(31:04):
I just don't think that'snecessary and I try to keep my
prices where I feel like aregular person can come get a
reading from me and they don'thave to be like extremely
wealthy right to do so.
But I love it and I think it'sone of my favorite things.
I love to write, I love to leadour cabin and I love to give
people readings, especially whenpeople write me back and tell
(31:27):
me how spot on something is orhow it gave them insight and it
helped them see something in adifferent way.
It's so validating to mebecause I call on my own guides
and I call on their guides whenI give a reading and it's just,
it's exciting, I don't know, andit definitely for me.
I feel that I'm tapping intosomething greater than myself,
(31:51):
and so that's why people arelike oh, aren't you drained?
No, because I open sacred space, I give the reading, I, I call
on guides, I cut cords, I let itall go, and then I usually eat
something to ground myself.
But it's not my energy.
I'm the vessel during thatwhole experience.
I'm just there letting it allhappen, listening to the guides
(32:12):
and the muses and letting it goafterwards.
So for me it's not a drainingexperience.
I actually usually feelenergized after giving a reading
.
Actually, if I feel tooenergized, I go outside and get
grounded.
But I hope that this inspiresyou.
If you're not already dabblingin the art of fortune, telling
(32:34):
that you try something.
There's so many things outthere.
If you don't like cards, youdon't have to use cards, right?
If you're into meditating, thenAkashic Records are great.
There's palmistry, tea, leafcoffee readings, reading the
clouds.
I mean it's really like it'sexciting.
I think divination is so fun.
You can make your own little, you know, curios.
(32:56):
Curios are so fun.
If you're a collector of, likelittle tiny things, that's a fun
one to do.
Pendulum that's not a favoriteof mine, but pendulum is out
there as something, and I dohave my own little Oracle deck
that I created called the CosmicCreator Oracle.
It'll be in limited editionprint available through my
(33:17):
website soon, and it's justsomething I self-published with
an artist friend of mine.
We're really proud of it andit's just really for us and for
people that support us.
Right, it's not a huge, hugething, it's just more like we
wanted to make it happen, so wedid.
So that's really fun and that'skind of part of my journey as
well.
I just want to especially inviteyou if you're listening to this
(33:38):
, as this podcast is coming out,I want to invite you to join
our coven, if you're not alreadyin here.

many different ways to protectyourself spiritually so that you
can always kind of cut andpaste and pick and choose.

change it up whenever they want.
