Welcome to another Cozy Coven Chat.
I am your host, jenny C Bell,and this is the second
installment in my little crystalmini-series here on the chat.
And this is all because my bookSpirit Crystals Discover your
Crystal Guide for Healing andEmpowerment comes out in the
summer, and so I thought it'd befun to do a little bit on

(00:23):
crystals to kind of get youready for the book and to help
us all just feel a little bitbetter too.
Right, crystals are extremelyhealing, and so in this episode
we're going to be focusing onactually connecting with a
crystal.
So what this means is that youprobably can't listen to this
while you're driving, becauseit's a meditation, so please

(00:44):
don't.
And what it means is that youwill need a crystal.
So when I say crystal, I'musually talking about an actual
crystal, like something in thequartz family, but you can use a
stone too.
You could use something as astone you found in your yard or
that you particularly like,right, or you found at the beach
that you really feel connectedto, because in this kind of idea

(01:08):
of connecting with the crystalor the stone, we're using our
intuition.
So what I would like you to dois, if you're watching this or
you're listening to this in amoment is pause the podcast, go,
find whatever stone or crystalyou feel drawn to that's in your
home or maybe it's a piece ofjewelry and then come back and

(01:30):
be in a way that you can feelsafe to close your eyes and that
you can meditate for a littlewhile a good 10-15 minutes,
right?
This could mean that you wantto lay down, it could mean that
you want to be seated, you mightwant to walk, right, it's
totally up to you, but we'regoing to be.
The rest of this episode isgoing to be based on is going to

(01:52):
be a meditation, and so goahead and pause and grab your
crystal, and then meet me backhere.
Okay, so you should have yourcrystal, and it can be any size
shape, could be tumbled, itcould be raw and, like I said,
could be a found crystal thatyou found in the yard, a stone
and what I want you to do,though, is I want you to have it

(02:13):
in a way that you can hold it,so, if it's a big crystal, it
might be like you sit with yourhands in your lap and you place
the crystal in an open palm.
If you're laying on your back.
It might be that you put it onyour chest, over your heart
space or on your solar plexus,which is between your ribs and
your belly button, but I wantthe crystal to be touching you

(02:34):
in some way right the energy.
So if it's like a piece ofjewelry, like a ring, it's
already touching your energy.
So that's okay.
But get yourself arranged sothat you're connected physically
to the crystal and then, whenyou're ready, please take a
moment, take a deep breath andclose your eyes.
So take a deep breath, let itout, and then I want you to take

(02:56):
another deep breath, and thistime we're going to fill up our
bellies like balloons.
So what does that mean?
That means a lot of us breathefrom our chest all the time, so
you can be breathing while I'mexplaining this.
So a lot of us breatheshallowly from our chests, and
so instead I want you to putyour hands, if you can, on your
belly and try to feel your bellyfill up with air like a balloon

(03:19):
.
So take a deep breath and fillyour belly up like a balloon.
If you don't get it right away,that's okay, and then let it
out, and then we're going to dothat again.
Take a deep breath and I wantyou to let it out like a sigh,
if you can, if you're alone,right, like a sigh, do it again.
Let it out like a sigh, andthen I'm going to lead you

(03:42):
through a gentle body scan tohelp you be here now, in the
present moment, and to kind ofswitch off whatever's been going
on in the day.
So first I would like you tofocus on your feet.
So use your mind's eye or yourbody or your feeling to focus
your energy on your feet, so youcan maybe wiggle your toes or

(04:05):
move your feet around, but justkind of put your energy there.
And if you have pain in yourfeet or you have judgment or an
injury or something regardingyour feet, that's okay, don't
focus on it, just let it go.
And now I want you to move upto your ankles, put your focus

(04:28):
of your energy there we'retrying not to judge what's there
, we're just noticing feelingthat part of our body and move
up your legs All the way up toyour hips and your pelvis.
A lot of people store tension,thoughts, emotions, energy in

(04:52):
this part of the body.
So really try to relax thispart of the body, the hips and
the pelvis, whatever that meansto you.
It might mean that you need torearrange your legs or move your
legs or tilt your pelvis.
It might mean that you justhave to allow it to rest, right,
you just kind of breathe intoit and then I want you to move

(05:15):
up to your belly and your lowerback, all your organs.
Just focus on how that feels.
If you notice you're hungry,let yourself know.
You can have a snack in alittle bit when we're done.
Right, go up to your chest, yourheart space, expand that, make
sure it's open, right, so thatmight mean rolling the shoulders
up and back.
It might mean, if you're layingon the floor doing the same

(05:37):
thing, just kind of letting thatheart space open a little bit.
Let's make sure your shouldersaren't up by your ears.
Kind of let them be drooping.
Go and feel your arms, yourhands, your fingers If you need
to shake them out or make a fistand let it go.
We're going to move up to theneck, the jaw.
Are you clenching the jaw?

(05:58):
Let that go, going up to theeyes and the nose, if you want
to.
You might want to make a tinyface.
What's a tiny face?
It's where you kind of squeezethe eyes, the nose, the mouth,
and you make it, you make yourface small, and then you let
that go, helps relieve sometension, and then we're gonna
just kind of let ourselves behere for a moment.

(06:19):
So take another deep breath,let your body arrive, let your
body know it's time to relax.
You might even want to tellyourself I am safe, I'm safe, I
am at peace, I am here now, I ampresent.

(06:41):
And then I want you to notice inyour body where the crystal is.
So it's either in your hand ormaybe you're wearing this
jewelry, it's on your heartspace.
I want you to find thatconnection from your body to the
crystal.
And now you might want to movethe crystal to your hands.

(07:01):
It might make this a little biteasier, but I want you to move
the crystal around and reallyget a feel for the crystal.
Is it smooth, and sometimeseven a tumbled rock will have
like a divot right, and you canfeel something.
What's the temperature?
Is it?
You know how big is it?
I really want you to just kindof feel the crystal and I want

(07:24):
you to take the crystal andmaybe you can give it a little
sniff.
Does it smell like anything?
Right?
Sometimes it will, sometimes itwon't, it's okay.
And then I want you to open youreyes with a relaxed gaze so
we'll call this drishti in yoga,but it's an unfocused gaze and
just gaze at your crystal for afew moments.
And what are we looking for?

(07:45):
You might want to know.
We're looking for anything.
We notice Color, shape, texture.
Are there rainbows?
Are there many colors?
What does it feel like?
What does it look like?
Right, we're just getting areal sense for this crystal

(08:05):
right now.
And once you've kind of got tolook at it, I would like you to
close your eyes again, place thecrystal back somewhere on your
body.
So your left hand is a greatplace, your heart space, your
solar plexus chakra, your belly,your third eye, if you're
laying down, is a great place.
So place it somewhere thatfeels intuitively right for you,

(08:25):
really focusing on ourintuition, and then take another
deep breath and I want you tosee that color of the crystal.
So if you're not a visualperson, just get a sense of it,
right.
So whatever color or colors areyour crystal, I want you to get
a sense of that color in yourmind's eye.

(08:46):
Now, if you have a clear quartz,sometimes I see clear quartz,
as a rainbow.
Sometimes I see it as glitterybecause it is clear.
Right, you might see it withlike a slight colored tinge to
it, a little gray or a littleyellow, but I want you to really
envision the color that is yourcrystal.
So, whatever you brought withyou today, envision the colors

(09:09):
or the colors, color or thecolors.
And then I want you to envisionthat color as a big blanket.
So if your crystal was a giantblanket that could cover your
whole body and then some, Iwould like you to envision in
your mind's eye, or get a senseof this big crystal colored

(09:30):
blanket.
And then I want you to, in yourmind's eye, imagine wrapping
that blanket around you, so it'sgoing over your head and around
your shoulders and maybewrapping you up kind of like a
burrito, right?
You're completely.
All that's out is your face,right, you're enveloped in this
crystal blanket.
It's a hood, it's around yourshoulders, it's around your body

(09:52):
, it's so snug, it's the perfecttemperature, temperature, it's
the perfect texture, it's likethis perfect comfort, right, a
wonderful blanket of just purecomfort, in the color of your
crystal.
And I just want you to kind ofsit or lay with this vision for
a moment, take another deepbreath, and then I want you to

(10:20):
allow the crystal that's withyou, its blanket that is
enveloping you, to find theplace in your body, your spirit,
your soul that needs its light,its healing.
There's no wrong answer here.
This is an intuition, right?

(10:41):
So where in your body or yourspirit, your mind, does this
crystal want to connect with you?
It might want to be a heart toheart connection.
It might want to be a third eyeconnection.
You might have really sore feetand it wants to send its love
and its energy and connection upthrough the soles of your feet.
It might want to connectthrough the palms of your hands.

(11:01):
Where is this crystal guidingyou to connect?
And you don't have to move thecrystal physically because
you're wrapped in the crystalblanket, right.
But where?
Where is it want to connectwith you?
What part of your chakras?
Or your body, your aura, yourspirit?
And it could be all over.
You're like it, just I feel itall over.
It just wants to connect withme.

(11:22):
So take a moment and decidewhere is the connection point in
your body.
I'll be quiet for a moment andif you don't know, if you're
like I really can't get a graspthe heart space.
We're gonna do the heart chakraas our default space right.

(11:43):
So the middle of the chest, theheart chakra, is always a great
portal entry, and wherever youhave decided is the best place
to connect with your crystal.
I want you to envision thatthere is a little opening there,
like a portal right, and itcould be like how you see a
portal in a movie, where it'slike rainbow colors or stars.

(12:04):
It could be a swirling, itcould be, you know however you
kind of imagine this entry toyour energy, and I want you to
envision that the crystal, orsee your sense or feel, however
your imagination works.
I want you to get a sense thatthe crystal is connecting to
this portal place and it'sstarting to give you some energy

(12:27):
and some healing.
And I'm going to be quiet for amoment while you envision the
portal connection and then seeif your crystal has any messages
for you.
It might be a symbol, a color,a piece of a song, could be a
word, it could just be a feeling.
So first see the portal opening,see the crystal entering the

(12:49):
portal right, the energy of thecrystal entering the portal, and
then, as the connection is madewith the crystal, are there any
messages for you at this time?
Don't overthink or second guess.

(13:14):
Just allow, allow whatevermessaging to come through.
Come through.
If nothing comes through, wecan always try it again.
Right, don't stress, relax intoit.
If you're feeling a resistanceor a struggle, remind yourself I
am safe and tell the crystal Iam open to connecting.

(13:53):
And then I want you to thank thecrystal for the connection,
even if you didn't feel anything.
So thank you for the connection.
And then I want you to envisionthat portal that was opened
closing.
I want you to envision theblanket surrounding you starting
to dissolve into your aura,into your body, into your cells,
so the energy really getsthrough your whole body.

(14:13):
I want you to come back intothe room, back into the here and
now.
Feel the crystal wherever it ison your body, and look at it
again, open your eyes, take alook at it and, no matter what
your experience was, I highlyrecommend that you journal about
this experience and if itdidn't go well for you, please

(14:36):
try it again.
And if it still doesn't go well, we are most receptive in our
dreams, so you can ask thecrystal.
You can put it by your bed inour dreams, so you can ask the
crystal, you can put it by yourbed and you can say to it please
connect with me in my sleep, inmy dreams, I'm open, I'm
willing to connect with you andthen allow that to go for seven
nights and see what you notice,see if you remember a dream, see

(14:59):
if you feel differently.
And that goes for everybody.
Everybody can work withcrystals at night.
It's actually the easiest wayfor a lot of people to do things
.
This connection method isdifferent than the one in the
book that I wrote, so I like togive people different varieties
of things.
So this is a different way toconnect with a crystal.
This is a blanket connection.

(15:20):
This is something you can usewith any crystal, any stone, any
time, and in my opinion, thisis the best way to understand
crystal healing.
You can take classes and youcan get encyclopedic books to
look up the meaning of thecrystal, but really getting that

(15:44):
connection, that first personconnection right You're really
connecting with the source of itis honestly the best way.
And if your head is getting inthe way, there's some skepticism
or just I'm not a visual personor this was uncomfortable for
me.
I had a lot of thoughts comingthrough.
I couldn't sit still.
Try the dream, the dream, energyexchange is amazing.
Bring the crystal with you intothe bedroom, hold it a little
bit before bed, talk to it.

(16:05):
I really want to connect withyou, connect with you.
I'm open to connecting with you.
In my dreams you can.
If it's small enough, you caneven go in the pillowcase or
under the pillow.
Some people put them under thebed and just allow that
connection to happen, becausethen we're just so much more
open, right?
We're more receptive.

It's a slow healing right.
Crystals evolve and they takeso long to be created by the
Mother Earth that when weconnect with them, it's such a
slow-standing, calming energyfor the most part not all

(17:10):
crystals, but for the most partthat it really helps to help our
energy, kind of fill in gapsright.
So if you're feeling likeimbalanced or your energy is all
over the place, crystals canreally help kind of calm the
energy but also fill in gaps inthe energy, help with the
chakras that are out ofalignment.
They're just really they'rehelpers, they're big time

(17:32):
helpers.
