Yes, it really was 25 years ago that flight 800 was literally blown out of the sky. 230 people would perish that fateful day off Long Island and it was a horrific scene for many days. It would take an additional 4 years to get any sort of conclusive closure, if you believe the final outcome of one of the most laborious tasks of reconstruction of any aviation disaster.
