Send Tim a Text Message.

Nature & wildlife photographer Dave DeVore joins host Tim Ristow to discuss how he uses his photography skills as a tool to witness to the wonders of God's Creation.  Providing a mix of helpful photography tips, descriptions of personal favorite photographs, and insights into the habitats and animals that he has had the opportunity to observe and photograph, DeVore shares a wide range of photography related stories with his folksy charm.  DeVore is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association. You can see some of his awesome photography on his website.

In addition, DeVore has also had opportunity to participate in 20 mission trips to Mexico & Kenya, where he has been able to serve, witness to, minister to, and pray over hundreds of people in need through a vision clinic ministry (sponsored in part by his church) that serves as a dual purpose as both health clinic and evangelism tool.  You can read stories from the mission field  and from Dave's most recent mission trip to Kenya on his blog.

Dave has also recently trained to become a fully licensed drone pilot.   He is a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin Texas and owner of Mr. PC, a computer repair business in the Austin area.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
