And oh my gosh, it is cancerseason.
I can't believe it and I'vecreated some pretty epic content
prompts for you to use toattract all my clients this
season.
Let's talk about cancer.
So cancer is the mother.
It's mothering healing.
It's also the unconscious.

(01:22):
It's nurturing healing.
It's also the unconscious.
It's nurturing empatheticcaring.
It's the water element.
So it's all about feeling andraw emotional vulnerability.
So if you're like me and prettymuch the rest of the world, you
might have a complicatedrelationship with these facets.

(01:43):
I was thinking about my anglefor this podcast and talking
about my struggles with reallykind of connecting to the cancer
element and, on reflecting, Irealised that as a culture we
really do not do well atconnecting to these facets.

(02:04):
You know, even just thinking ofthe mother obviously I'm
speaking from the perspective ofsomeone who lives in America
where the respect of mothers isjust systematically at an all
time low.
You know, looking at parentalleave, looking at even family
leave, and obviously things arestarting to change around that

(02:25):
but just the really really,really intense work culture here
and how there's such anemphasis on your career as your
identity and there's a lot ofabsence of social structures
that exist elsewhere in you know, more like older, more
established communities like inEurope and smaller countries
that are less dominated andobsessed with capitalism.

(02:48):
And you know, obviously it'sthe mothers that take the hit
for that, who are expected toshow up and contribute to
society and make money and, youknow, do the enormous job of
raising a human life with prettylike almost zero social support
or time off or like empathy orunderstanding from the corporate

(03:11):
structures that employ a lot ofpeople.
And I've definitely had a verycomplex relationship with the
identity of mother, you know,especially because my mom was a
full time, stay at home mom sheraised four kids and that is
just not the vision that I havefor my life, and I'm very
ambitious.
There's lots of goals andprojects and you know, business

(03:34):
goals and creative projects thatI have on my heart to create in
my lifetime, and there haven'tbeen that many role models for
me of women who are doing bothin a healthy and sustainable way
.
Thankfully, over the years Ihave come across many, many
women who are thriving inbusiness and in their creative

(03:55):
careers and raising children anddoing both and doing it in
their own way, which for themost part, requires doing it
outside of the typical systemsthat we've kind of been raised
in and have been groomed toexpect to live within.
I know that everybody here ischoosing to create life and work
in your own way, in a way thatallows you to prioritize your

(04:17):
values, and there's a lot of ofunconscious conditioning work
that comes with, you know, beingable to access these new levels
of freedom that really weren'tavailable to women in prior
generations.
So I think this is such abeautiful and potent sign and my

(04:39):
Venus is actually in Cancer andI was reflecting on, so your
Venus placement is your, youknow one of your very potent
money placements and can giveyou a lot of insight around the
things that will help you toserve and to make money.
So I was reflecting on mybusiness and you know my like

(05:02):
growth journey and I've actuallystruggled a lot to connect to
my venous in cancer and toreally understand it and to kind
of find my way of connecting toit, and the growth in that
really has involved allowingmyself to be more emotionally
vulnerable to face myvulnerabilities, and that was
really what was required of mein order to unlock my desired

(05:25):
level of income.
This is literally what I wrotemy book about about how becoming
an entrepreneur, setting moneygoals, looking at you know,
serving in the ways that Ireally was excited by, and
working in my own way, workingwith the people that I really
wanted to work with anddiscovering all of my hang-ups
and emotional resistance aroundmoney and asking for money and

(05:48):
dealing with large sums of money.
And it was that work thatreally required me to do all of
that unconscious shifting andhealing and processing around
worthiness, around my capability, around releasing shame, around
my desires.
And yeah, yeah, and then that'sreally what led me to bring the
money mindset work into thecontent strategy work that I was

(06:11):
doing and to launch programsaround money mindset and my book
is all about money mindset anda lot of the work that I do with
clients around their messaginginvolves a lot of this
unconscious work and reallysupporting ourselves through
these layers of resistance thatdo show up when we start to step
into these new levels offreedom of oh, I can just sit

(06:35):
down and spend 15 minuteswriting a post and then I can
make thousands of dollars.
And oh, I can just work withthe people who are really
freaking fun to work with.
And oh, I can just work a fewdays a week if I want to.
And oh, I can only talk aboutthe things that really light me
up and I can start to let go ofthe heavy things that drain me
and step away from people andways of working that don't feel

(06:57):
in alignment for me.
And all of that resistance thatcomes up when you actually
start to make moves and steppingforward with taking action on
bringing these visions to life.
That is a huge part of thiswork.
So I think cancer reallyexemplifies this, and the
message of cancer for ourculture, I believe, is, you know

(07:19):
, it's that this whole conceptof nurturing yourself, first
filling your cup up so that youcan overflow, so that you have
more to serve with, so that you,you know, can give and be
generous and can nurture othersand conserve your community and
take care of others from a placeof being really well
self-resourced.

(07:39):
And that's just something thatour culture is still learning at
a very, very freaking slow pace.
And it all starts withreconditioning ourselves right
Of building that narrative andcreating evidence for ourselves
of like, oh no, it is safe forme to take a nap if I'm tired,
it is safe for me to take a dayoff or to take a few days off

(07:59):
and guess what?
The world isn't going to comecrashing down.
It is safe for me to say no.
And the more we get better atcreating those boundaries that
allow us to thrive, the biggerour cup gets to be able to
receive.
And this is a big foundationalprinciple of abundance that I
really work with with my clientsis whenever you know and we're

(08:22):
going to go more into money inthe episode next week when I
share the money alignmentprompts for cancer season, but
I'll touch on it briefly hereLike when you start to get that
contraction or you feel the fearor the scarcity, or you're
worried, or you're starting tofeel burnt out, or you're
starting to feel like I justdon't have any more to give.
We have to go first.

(08:43):
When we want to go first, whenwe want to receive, when we want
to receive clients, when wewant to receive more money, when
we want to have more energy, wehave to go first and giving to
ourselves and sometimes, likethat is the opposite message
that we get from our culture.
Right, the message that we getis work harder, push more, push
through, take action, go, go, go, go all in, when actually

(09:08):
sometimes stepping back, resting, taking space, filling up our
cup, that's still an action.
Like that is still a strategicaction.
And it can feel unsafe to dothat.
Sometimes it can feel unsafe tobe like you know what?
I'm just gonna cancel my plansand go and frolic in the park

(09:29):
for the afternoon and lie in thesun and try not to worry about
these upcoming bills, becauseit's in those moments that we
get the hit of insight, or theuniverse just gets the message
of like, oh, she's giving toherself.
So let's support that momentum,let's send her more support.
So pay attention to that,notice that pattern for yourself

(09:53):
and notice where yourconditioning comes up around,
that impulse to push and toovergive, and start to break
that pattern with nurturing, anddo little experiments, you know
.
Notice what comes up for youaround that, the discomfort and
the resistance, because this isa skill.
There's a skill to retrain.

(10:14):

So let's dive into some contentprompts and, by the way, I want

So this season is all aboutfeeling so and, as we know,

emotion is really the gold instorytelling.
The more you can translate whatyou truly feel in your body
into your storytelling, the morethat content is going to
resonate and stand out andreally make an impact on people.
The more that content is goingto resonate and stand out and
really make an impact on people,the more that content is going
to lead to sales for you.
So let's start, as always, withyour truth.

(12:31):
What is the truth about how youfeel?
What do you have profound, deepfeeling around when it comes to
the work that you're doing inthe world, like, what do you
deeply care about and what isthe message behind these
feelings?
Share those with your community.
Be raw, be vulnerable.
You know it was really learningto do this.

(12:54):
That was the thing thatunlocked doubling my income two
years in a row.
For me and I'm British we hatefeeling our feelings.
So if I can do it, you can doit.
So, feel those feelings, listento them.
What is the message behind them?
Our feelings, this is realinformation.
So you know this is the truthof your story.

(13:15):
This is the raw material.
Translate that into a message.
Let people see and feel you forthe truth of who you are.
There's nothing more powerfulthan that, and you can pay
attention to.
You know what is pulling youand what is exciting you, just
as much as what is repelling youand what is frustrating you.
Those denser emotions thatsometimes we wish we weren't

(13:37):
having.
Those can be the key to unlocka solution that you are meant to
bring to your community,because if you're feeling it.
You can bet there are otherhumans alive that are feeling
what you're feeling.
So your truth is enough.
Pay attention to it.
Dig a little bit deeper to getto the truth of who you feel,

(13:59):
how you feel and what thatmessage is, and share it, and
you can bet you're going tocreate resonance and connection
with your community.
Let your feelings known soprompt.
Number two is what is it aboutyour offer that you care most
about?
Why did you create it?
Like, get back to and I'm nottalking about you know, I just

(14:23):
want to make money and I wantedto find a way where I could pay
my bills and have a good life.
But what made you choose to dothis work over and above any
other kind of work?
What was that initial impulsethat really holds the most
meaning to you?
Because when you're in business, we have to recognise that we
have the freedom to choose.

(14:43):
So there's a reason that youhave made the choices that
you've made.
We wanna hear that story.
That is the most powerful storythat you can tell when you are
selling your offer.
This differentiates you.
It's your heart, it's yourpassion, it grounds your work
into the truth of who you areand that makes the flavour of

(15:05):
the way that you do things standout as different to everyone
else out there who's maybe doingreally similar work to you.
This is such a powerfulapproach to selling your offer.
So tell the story, tell it fromdifferent angles and let it be
emotional.
Prompt number three what storycan you tell from your own
journey that will feelsupportive and nurturing to your

(15:27):
client?
So have a think about whatsomething that they are feeling
challenged by right now that youhave been through.
Listen to your current clients,ask your audience, pay
attention to conversations thatare happening elsewhere about
the topics that you serve on.
Think about where you were whenyou were in their shoes, what

(15:48):
was challenging for you and howdid you get through it.
Remember how this is like oneof the main areas of focus of
the work that I do with myclients, because we just forget,
especially when you'reambitious and you're always
focusing on your next goal,you're constantly feeling like
I'm not there yet.
I'm not there yet.
I'm not.
I want to be 10 steps over here, and where I am right now is

(16:11):
just not good enough, and weforget that you used to dream
about being where you are rightnow and there are people out
there looking at where you arebeing like.
That is a dream come true forme.
If I could wave a magic wandand be there in a few months
time, I would be so freakinghappy.

(16:33):
So that is our number one job asentrepreneurs is to be able to
connect to our clients and wherethey are right now.
So show empathy and showleadership by really connecting
back into where your client isand tell them a story about when
you were there.
This is going to create trust.
It's going to build connection.
It's going to show your peoplethat they can trust you to help
them get from where they are towhere they want to be, which is

(16:55):
where you are now.
And one of the number onereasons people don't buy is
because they feel like they'redifferent and that you can't
help them.
So the more we can show peoplethat we're human, just like
everybody else, that you know ithasn't been the easiest for us.
That we've been through thechallenges and that the
challenges are possible to growthrough, even in our own unique

(17:15):
situation.
That is what's going to makeyou the number one choice for
your soulmate client.
So lead with these stories.
