back to the Creative Magic Clubpodcast.
Today, we're going to talk aboutthe most magical strategy for
making friends on the internetthat can lead to you getting
paid thousands and thousands ofdollars to do the work that you
love the most.

(01:21):
I'm talking about videomarketing to attract high ticket
clients.
So let's talk about why thisworks, and then I'm going to
address all of those fears andresistances that we all have
around doing video marketing onthe internet, because I know

(01:43):
that it can't, often doesn'tfeel like the most comfortable
thing to do, but it's worth it.
So if you have been wishingthat you were making more sales
lately, if you've been wishingthat more people gave a fuck
about your work and your missionand your message, you're going

(02:05):
to love this.
So why it works is because atthe heart of all client
relationships, which is thepathway to sales and money, it's
relationship.
And at the heart ofrelationship is connection.
How do we build connection?

(02:26):
So let's imagine you arebuilding a connection with
somebody new and all you do iswrite letters to them.
You don't know what they looklike.
Like, obviously, the power ofwriting is humongous.
Think about, you know, whenpeople were at war back in the

(02:48):
day, when there was no socialmedia or technology and lovers
would just write letters to eachother and for all they knew,
their loved one could be dead onthe battlefield.
Imagine the exhilaration ofreceiving a letter and words of
love and affection andconnection from your loved one.
Like absolutely, undeniablyhuge in in the impact, right.

(03:10):
But in this day and age, whenwe have all of this visual
medium available to us at ourfingertips, we want to see you,
we want to put a face to thename, we want to see an image or
a visual representation likenothing captures our attention

(03:34):
more than being able to see whatthe hell you are talking about,
which is why lifestylemarketing works right.
We want to see you.
Show us instead of tell us.
And yes, copywriting is sopowerful, yes, there's so much
we can do with it.
But imagine how many lettersyou would need to send to

(03:57):
somebody to build the type ofdepth and connection that is
possible when you get to looksomeone in the eye and talk to
them face to face.
It just collapses time aroundthe connection and relationship.
And this is why video marketingis just such a powerful tool to

(04:18):
leverage as a medium to fasttrack our connection with new
friends on the internet so theycan hurry up and make a decision
about whether or not they wantto work with you.
So I built my business usinglive streams.
I was going live three times aweek in the beginning of my

(04:38):
business for multiple years andI know that whenever I want to
increase sales, whenever I wantto attract more clients, I crank
up the dial on face forwardvideo marketing content, whether
that is doing live streams,whether that is, you know,

(05:00):
talking heads on stories,whether that is talking heads on
reels, creating video salesletters that I send out by email
, creating workshop content thatI invite people into, either as
a live stream in my Facebookgroup, connecting with people on
Zoom, or creating content thatI send out via email.
So, absolutely, I do this withyou know faceless voice content

(05:25):
as well, because you know ourvoice is a half step between the
written word and a full blownpiece of video content.
There's so much moreinformation that people pick up
when they hear your voice.
There's even more informationthat people pick up when they
see your body language, whenthey see how you carry yourself,

(05:46):
when they see how you talk andexpress yourself, and there's
just so much unconsciousconnection.
There's so much being picked up, right, we can tell.
Does this person truly haveconviction and belief in what
she's talking about?
Does this person feel authenticto me?
Does this person seem like thewords are matching the image?

(06:11):
Are they backing what they saythey are embodying?
Do we see visual evidence ofthis?
Right, like, like and this isnot about you having to be
perfect all the time at thevalues that you embody and the
teachings that you practice andpreach.
But this is again coming backto connection.

(06:33):
What happens when connection iscreated?
It's authenticity.
We don't want any of ourfriends and our family members
who we have connections with tobe perfect all the time.
We don't expect that.
But we do want to feelrespected, we do want to feel
seen and validated in thatrelationship.

(06:57):
And, you know, the next layerthat's required on the path to
developing a client relationshipis trust.
So first we have to feelconnected.
First we have to see ourselvesin the person that we are hiring
right like.
We have to see enough ofourselves to know that that

(07:19):
person gets me, that person canhelp me, right.
And then the next stage of therelationship, before somebody's
ready to buy from you, is Itrust this person?
Does this person follow through?
Do they say they're going to dowhat they say they're going to
do?
Are they, you know, are thereany red flags?
Are they, for the most part,seemingly unauthentic person

(07:45):
that I can trust, with droppingthousands of dollars of my money
and, beyond that, my trust andmy energy to allow this person
to support me through thetransformation that I'm hiring
them for?
So this is why live streaming orvideo content in general is so

(08:09):
powerful, because it just is,you know, as close as we're
going to get to being in theroomperson connections.
That will fast track that trusteven more quickly and even more
deeply when we get to inhabitthe same space, because again,

(08:31):
then there's even more layers ofinformation that we're
unconsciously picking up aboutthat person.
But so much can be done withvideo and with audio to portray
the energy that we embody, andthe majority of the clients that
I've attracted into my businesshave come online because I was

(08:52):
traveling a lot around the worldduring the early stages of
building my business.
I've definitely met clients,met people in person, who have
then joined my online communityand later become clients, and
that is, you know, extremelyeffective because of that trust

(09:17):
factor, because they believeyou're a real person.
You know and, let's face it,trust is a big issue, especially
when it comes to the internetand the online world issue,
especially when it comes to theinternet and the online world,
particularly when it comes tothe coaching industry.
And like any industry, thereare good people out there, there
are bad people out there and wehave to be able to discern and

(09:41):
gather as much information as wecan to know I can trust this
person.
I believe this person andthat's really the job of all of
our marketing content is numberone to create connection and
number two to build trust.
So this is why they work.
And I love live streams becausethey're actually one of the

(10:02):
easiest pieces of content tomake.
They're actually one of theeasiest pieces of content to
make.
So, side note, I know thattalking on video does not feel
easy for a lot of people and,believe me, I was shitting
myself in the beginning too.
But, like with anything, it's askill and the only way to get
good at it is to do it regularlyand consistently.

(10:25):
And the beautiful thing aboutvideo is because they get so
much information in such a shortpiece of content, it can be one
of the fastest pieces ofcontent to create.
So I'm going to share a littlepiece of my live stream strategy
with you just to let you knowhow simple it can be.

(10:47):
And usually, you know and thisis a skill that I developed when
I was live streamingconsistently in the early years
of my business I'd be, like youknow, put a half an hour time
block on my calendar.
Uh, in the early years it wasthree times a week.
Now I do it once a weekapproximately and you know, and

(11:09):
I've replaced one of thosepieces of content with my weekly
podcast and I will literallytune in and ask myself what is a
good thing I can talk abouttoday, what is a topic that's
alive for me?
What is a question or a topicthat has been alive in my client

(11:29):
conversations this week that Iknow would benefit more people?
I will jot down no more thanthree bullet points of story
points or touch points that Iwant to speak to.
I'll know what I'm sellingbecause of my launch calendar
and I'm I know what I'm going tosay to pitch my offer and I'll

(11:52):
tell a story.
I'll make sure I tell apersonal story to build that
connection, to build that trust,to build that credibility and
to direct people, because it'snot a piece of sales content
unless there is a direct call toaction for people to actually
do something that is going tohelp them create the
transformation that I amteaching them about.

(12:14):
So it really is that simple.
I'll spend five minutes comingup with my bullet points.
I'll go live for 10-15 minutes.
It's a 20 minute piece ofcontent that packs so much punch
for my client relationships,for my visibility, for my sales

(12:36):
and you know I've literally hadpeople watch a live stream,
listen to my pitch and then goand enroll into my highest
ticket offers that I'm sellingfor thousands of dollars.
So if it's a little bituncomfortable, are you willing?
Are you willing to carve out 20minutes of your day and
practice to get good at thispiece of content for the sake of

(12:57):
making those sales, attractingthose incredible clients into
your life and living your workand your mission and your impact
?
So I double double.
Dare you to go and do a livestream and put yourself out
there and put all of that chitchat in your head out of the way
?
And it just live streaming setme up for so much success with

(13:20):
content creation in my business.
Later down the line, like now,when I record my podcast, I can
speak in flow.
If I'm doing an interview, I'mbetter at not tripping up over
my words.
Also, who gives a fuck If youtrip up over your words?
You do not need to be perfect.
People love it when you mess upon the internet.
So go and screw the hell upover your live stream.

(13:45):
Know that no one's payingattention to those screw ups as
much as you are.
As long as you lead with value,as long as you lead with heart
and authenticity and eye-focusedstorytelling that is rooted in
your specific experience, thatmakes it relevant to you and to
your people.
Your people will get value fromit, and one of my favorite

(14:14):
things to tell clients is allyou need to do is show up and
open your mouth Like that is ourjob.
That is our job in ourbusinesses, in our content is to
just create conversations withthe people who we know we can
impact with the most value thatwe're able to offer, and to keep
showing up, keep having thoseconversations and keep pitching

(14:36):
our offers, and thoserelationships are going to
develop naturally by you justcontinually showing up and being
there.
