Speaker 1 (00:01):
What's up, creeps, and welcome to the twenty twenty five
finale of After Dark. We have made it a whole
year and we're ready to put twenty twenty five in
the coffin tonight. As usual, I have guests. I'm sure
you've seen them around the Internet and around here on
after Dark, so I want you to give them a
(00:23):
big welcome when we come back. But I want to
make sure grab something to snack on, grab a cup
of coffee. We're going to say thank you, of course
to our twenty twenty five guests, and then we're going
to roll into the twenty twenty five second annual Horror
Halloween Trivia and we're going to see who reigns Supreme
(00:45):
this year. Of course, we have our returning champion, so
I can't wait to see how she does. So Creeps,
let's get started, and welcome to the Creepy Confidential after Dark. Enough, subcreeps,
(01:07):
and welcome to Creepy Confidential. Is mov Man really a
supernatural force predicting and pending doom? Did Apollo eleven really
land on more than nineteen sixty nine? Did you find
out if that was a cult that was living just
two doors? Down that you wave to every single day
when you got your mail. If these are the things
(01:30):
you ponder when you should be sleeping, then I would
like to welcome you to Creepy Confidential. I'm your houst Noel.
You're resident Weirdo Wisconsinight I open case files on my
favorite cryptos, cults, conspiracies, and other worldly creepy with new cases,
live broadcasts, and local lore. Some stories have been lost
(01:52):
with time, others are perhaps still happening today in your
local communities, right up under your very creepy no So
get ready, creeps. It's Creepy Confidential. The creep said, Hi,
(02:20):
as you can see creep Nation, I have some friends
with me this evening. I am very excited to introduce,
so you will. I'm not going to go around here
like the life Star. Here we're so first in the middle. Oh,
I'm so glad look at her this year. We are
the Supreme. We are Josephine, the Supreme, our ragning champion.
(02:41):
Welcome to after Dark and then over here debuting a
new mask, a new look. Oh man, is he's scary.
We have mister Nick Park, one of the topic duo.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
We are here.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Thank you, you, thank you, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
For him, Thank you. And then with her very cool
hair on recently as well, we have miss Strange talk. Oh,
I love it. She has our creepy clown here.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
This evening actually matches my hair.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
I love it. Thank you so much for joining me.
I hope that both of you guys so far. Hope
you test your chances at our trivia tonight. And then
we have of course not Blast. Of course we have
mister Yurdy, who seems to have dropped off. He's out.
(03:45):
He will hopefully join us back. He has had some
little little issues here, so when he comes back, the
Father of Darkness Yurdi. He is the other half of
the Toxic Icon duo, which I am stoked everybody here
has been on after Dark. I'm so excited to have
you guys back. Thank you. Oh he's back. So we're
(04:08):
gonna be going back and forth here trying to get
you back in dirty. You missed your introduction, but you're here,
the Father of Darkness. Well, I love it. I love it. Uh, this,
I love everyone. It's stressed up the ship.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
This is very very cool year.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
We're doing fantastic this year.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
And then dress up yes.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
At all, like.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Like yeah, absolutely, And then of course this year I
have a different character. Usually I create my own, but
I have brought back our sweety Todd. Yeah. Yeah, hopefully
my friend here will be giving twenty twenty five the
closest ship thank ever. And we'll take a broad So
(05:07):
let's see. I know we have some comments coming in here. Alex,
looks like you have somebody you know, says Alex, you
look amazing. I'm going to turn on the comments here,
so hopefully they'll come on the screen. You look amazing.
Happy Halloween everyone, Thank you so much for joining. I
am very excited. Okay, good comments are now going to
flow over there in the corner, so we'll be able
to see them. Very very excited about that. So as
(05:29):
we roll in, I want to first start this evening
before we get into the fun and festivities, I want
to make sure that I say thank you to the
people that have joined us this year in twenty twenty five.
Might the guests that have been on everyone here is
on our little slideshow here that we're about to do.
(05:52):
So I always pretty much everybody knows I love to
make little slide shows and be able to show off
my nerdy skills. So I want to start off again
by saying thank you. I know you guys have joined
me this year. It was amazing to have new guests,
and we have some other after dark guests that I
want to make sure that I highlight this evening. So
(06:12):
our January guest was Leslie and Steven Shaw. They are
the authors of who they are and what they are
up to. These guests was actually one of the first,
like i'll say, alien content that we saw on the show.
They are authors of this book and they have been
studying the UFO phenomenon. It had so many experiences and
I made sure I put their information there on the screen.
(06:34):
So if you're listening, Leslie and Stephen, thank you so
much for taking a chance and sending me your wonderful book.
Absolutely love it. Now this one. You guys might not
know these people. So those dweebs, they're kind of They
do paranormal and many other things. They are a group
of friends who roll that D twenty of Fate and
(06:55):
just enjoy many subjects, including subjects of the fourteen variety.
Now I know in the comments here this evening we
have mister Techno Wizard. He is also a D and
D fan, so we got a chance to a chance
to who he was a guest last year, so it
was very very cool.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Uh loved he did.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
He had on a cape and I loved it.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Thank you, I players.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
So we're all it's like we seem to cross reference.
Now you might recognize these two dudes here, you know,
just saying we have him in the house this evening. Uh.
The Toxic Icon consists of the duo Nick White and
Yurdie g And they are a pair of Haunt actors
from Saint Louis, Missouri, specializing in life and culture in
(07:41):
the haunt and horror industry. What a treat that I
got to show this this picture and use it for
the promo.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
We had a blast, awesome, Yes, thank you. I.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
This was the first time I had been able to
talk about like my past haunt life on the show.
So it was a treat. Really was a treat. Thank
you guys. You guys always bring it. I love the
looks you guys have.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
And I love it I have different costumes on here
versus the picture.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, like they're always yes, and they are. Can you
guys tell the creep Nation because you guys are both
haunting this year? Correct?
Speaker 6 (08:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, well, so where are you guys at this year?
Speaker 7 (08:27):
That's a darkness you're both at the marks cool.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
The Darkness on the House Saint Louis, Missouri been running
since nineteen ninety three. We're in what our thirty second
thirty third year fear somewhere in there.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yeah, thirty thirty second very cool. And I have for
those of you guys that are maybe listening to this afterwards,
or if you're you're checking it out, I have tagged
their Instagram because that tends to be the place that
the most cool content kind of flows in and out
of there, so I wanted to make sure that I
put that up there on the screen for everybody.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Now.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
The next one, this one was I Will. This was Joanna's.
She was so excited to talk about dreams, so Covenant Screams.
This was the first time the live stream had a theme,
so that was very exciting. Usually it's kind of a
free freehand, you know, we just kind of talk get
things out. So this one was called the Dream Screen
(09:25):
was recounting an interpretation of our graphic dreams. That was
also the first time I ever had to put a
mature audience on there, so I.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Was a little while.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
I can't lie, yeah, because we were talking about some pretty, uh,
pretty dark stuff and this was actually a follow up
to those that are listening and tuning in. This was
actually a follow up to an actual like episode called
what Dreams May May Come and that was a good
like kind of pairing. So I've also tagged Covenant Screens
information on there too, So thank you again, Joanna and
(09:59):
Covenant Screams for for coming in and checking it out.
It was very fun. Uh. And Bad Witch's Productions, if
you guys are watching this, I thank you so much.
They actually had had contacted and wanted to talk about
their their new film. They're doing a horror movie that
I believe they're filming or just wrapped filming.
Speaker 8 (10:17):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
So Bad Witch's Productions is a femme led indie production company.
They kind of wanted to do that Girls Club Aurora
and Fanny Hanny tuned in from overseas. It was like
one o'clock in the morning, So thank you Fanny for
doing that and we discussed, like I said, their up
and coming movie called Vessel, So I've tagged their website.
(10:39):
It was about paranormal experiences and how it kind of
inspired the film, So I'm excited to see that film.
So horror films, this one's gonna be for you guys.
That another one that that Joanna. You've been on here
several times. But we also feed Strange Talk, so Alex
(11:03):
of Strange Talk and we had been on her own
episode previously as well. Uh So, both of these guests
returned to discuss the panel, the Phantom Focus panel that
we did this year at Guli Khan. Thank you. That
was a lot of fun, both of you. We also
talked about. We did a Paranorval trivia there as well,
and we did a live Zener card reading, which was
(11:24):
very very fun. I suck at it. You gals did
fantastic one time. Yeah, you both did. It was outstanding.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
I loved it.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Was it the Star that we both like.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Star, Yeah, Star, and it was both the Star. I
still I'm still I'm yet to kick one. I do
not have good esp abilities, So.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Maybe it'll be one tonight. Maybe we'll just do it.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
I don't I think I won't have my Zender cards
appear tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I was like, but I don't think.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Uh So, then now we have stories in the cemetery.
These guys were fairly recent. Now there are a paranormal
company that's based out of Charleston, but actually they're moving
to Pittsburgh. They're going to be closer to me, which
is fantastic. And they offer an interactive ghost hunting experience
where you are the ghost hunter, so instead of like
(12:17):
a ghost tour, he takes everybody out with equipment, so
it's very cool. Nicholas McGerr is the lead investigator and
the owner, and then Josh Amen also joined us as well,
and I wanted to make sure I featured the Paranormal
Investigator's Almanac because there is a good chance you might
see something soon with yours, truly, so I'm excited, not
(12:42):
that I wrote my own that he reached out to me,
so we'll talk about that hopefully when it comes. And
then the one of the last ones I did was
mister Jerry Millwood. This is the first time I ever
had any sort of like bigfoot creature content, so that
was really I did too. I was happy he said yes,
(13:05):
and so he shared experiences with cryptids and other creatures,
and then he also did a live reading of his
own horror poem that he wrote called The Haunted Whale
of Appalachia. It was it made your hair stand up.
It was outstanding. And then so do you you like
this one, Nick, what was kind of your favorite part
(13:25):
about that?
Speaker 5 (13:27):
I really so it was very informative for me because
I always found that the appalation and horror to be
very interesting, but I didn't know exactly where to start
with my research on it. So this felt like a
good entry way because I felt like the guests really
talked about it from a broad perspective and then kind
of pulled you in with more details than such as
(13:48):
it went along.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
So that's what I really was. It was a good
starting point.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
He it's I liked. He had lots of references, which
was very good, and I've put He's kind of primarily
on TikTok and YouTube, so I made sure that I
put those up there as well. So and then last
we had gigs. Kim, if you're watching tonight, I wanted
to make sure I shouted you out a huge thank
(14:14):
thank you to Kim. We were actually supposed to have
three of the original members, but at the last minute,
Kim is the one who showed up, so I was
very very excited. So we did a reunion and evidence showcase,
So there's a lot to look at if you decide
you guys want to go back. And I have tagged
our old kind of information gigs paranormal, which might be
(14:37):
used in the future. That'd be kind of fun. So
we have much want to thank everybody who's been on,
even in the past. Beyond that, thank you guys for
such a great season. It's so fun having different guests on,
especially because we're from all over the place. And then
there's a few cool things that happened this year. This
(14:57):
was awesome. The Gholi Khan I have it here the
twenty twenty five Best Horror Podcast. I was shocked. I
was absolutely shocked. I just was went there to dress up,
so you.
Speaker 9 (15:15):
Literally had people stop you in the street and said,
let me get a picture girl.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, yep at the hotel out front wild Yeah. The
Madam Creep's a cool character. I like. I like that.
And then just a brief shout out because this is
just really this took a long time. I entered the
Face of Halloween. We raised a lot of money for
the Starlight Children's Foundation, and I just just finished well
(15:40):
for me. I came in third place in the quarterfinals.
I wanted to make sure. I thank you every single
person who voted and gave a donation because those kids,
those you can to see that there, they have lots
of issues they need help with. So I was very
grateful that that that happened. Now, if you got guys,
(16:01):
I think a question I have about after Dark? Do
you have something that that you each enjoyed the most
about after Dark?
Speaker 9 (16:11):
I say, when me and you the I mean honestly,
when me and you get our dream sequences, because we've
had conversations just about our dream and just to be able.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
To do an actual episode on it was really fun.
It felt like girl talk. Yes, creepy girl were.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
In front of everybody. It was great.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Yeah, I think my dreams are so crazy.
Speaker 10 (16:33):
Dreams are so much fun. I literally keep a journal
of all my weird dreams. And we all need to
talk dreams too, because it's just so fun.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
It's so weird and they are and Miss Strange Talk
is actually slated to come on and do a dream
screen with us are the twenty twenty sixth season, so
you guys are gonna want to want to look out
for that.
Speaker 10 (16:56):
I've got so many weird dreams to tell you all
about Ronald please ready.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I barely sleep and maybe that's why my dreams are weird.
I don't know. I looking at the wrong fire. Not
a dream that like, I'm like, there's.
Speaker 10 (17:11):
Nothing to interpret here. But I had a dream once
that involved the power injurers and a hamster, and I'm like,
what is that?
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I can tell you right now that it is not
in any of the books I have.
Speaker 10 (17:23):
How do you do dream interpretation on that?
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Dive into some others?
Speaker 9 (17:30):
What are the colors of the dream. That's what we
had to talk about last time that I have.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
I have a lot of tsunami dreams, a lot.
Speaker 10 (17:36):
Of water dreams, and then I also have dreams that
are just full on movies.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
So that's why I keep a dream journal where I'm like,
I watch that.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Movie, like that needs to be a movie. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
Well, I actually said that I had a dream recently
that I was like, I've watched that movie.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Then I went, I guess I kind of did what
about you?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Was there anything that that you know, if you had
to say, kind of what stands out most about your
after dark experience?
Speaker 8 (18:05):
So, to be honest, it is before the show actually happens.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
So I like the fact that you were extremely structured.
Speaker 8 (18:15):
You have you have oinerary that is one of the
most professional things in this the content spaces I've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Oh well, I did not expect that answer.
Speaker 10 (18:27):
I would like to second, third, and fourth that you
email me beforehand make sure everything's good.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
You're like checking fifty in his brand like you were
so on up of it.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (18:39):
Yeah, because because Nick and I, you know, anytime we
have a guest, we reach out via email. And I
looked at the email you saying, I'll say, man, Nick,
we got to step our game up.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
Bro, we did it that that conversation did happen?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
That's cool? Well, that is I did not. I didn't
even think people thought about that. So cool. I'm glad
that you had a good experience with that. I think
if people know what to expect, they can just have
a good time and not focus on anything else. So yes,
very cool. Nick. Do you have anything you wanted to
add about, like something you want to even, something you
(19:15):
want to see, or something that you thought you really liked.
Speaker 7 (19:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:19):
Well, one thing about what I really liked was you
allowed for Yurdie and I to dive into our craft
and really talk about the ins and outs of what
we do. Specifically, there's a section in the episode that
we did with you where I'm talking about a different
character that I want to try because I don't want
to get burnt out on one. And then I think
(19:42):
there was a section where I talked about timing in
the Hunted House and how you have to get the
effect of scare. A lot of people think that we
just dress up and we just going there and just
wild out.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
But there's a lot more technical than that.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
And so I appreciate you for allowing us to really
dive in because some people are like, oh.
Speaker 7 (19:59):
Where do you all right?
Speaker 6 (20:01):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (20:01):
You all hunt here, you all wear this cool? We
appreciate you will follow you and then that's kind of it.
So you allow for us to really go into it.
I appreciate that. It was a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
I loved that. Yeah, I had well. This year I
started the creep cards. Both of you guys got creep
cards and I got to have questions. I was I
geeked out when you guys were on, just so you know,
I was like, I never got to talk I never
get to talk about that stuff. What creatures you're creating?
Do you get burnout. Yeah, those things were like I
(20:31):
was so curious what you guys do as like constant
professional actors, you know, like I love that. Very very cool. Well,
thank you guys for your answers and your input.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
I'm that that.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Was very nice of you, Father of the Darkness. Okay
and correct, thank you, Well I have I guess the
next thing is, are you guys ready to try and
go for that creepy cash prize of the twenty twenty
five horror Trivia?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Okay, all right, that's good. Yeah, I know, I know, yeah,
a little feisty already. I'm glad. Yeah. So those that
are that are still tuning in or just joining us,
(21:28):
I want to make sure I say, this is the
twenty twenty five After Dark finale, so I'm very excited
for that to get through and and be able to
just cut loose and have fun. But also this trivia
that's about to take place, there is cash prize on
the line, and there is a year's worth of bragging rights,
so I hope already.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
It's year's worth of bragging rights.
Speaker 10 (21:49):
I'm just gonna be which is why you have to
watch out, because you're defending champ.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah. The defending champ changing this real quick jurdy gurdy. Oh, hostility, hostility.
I'm hold on, I am attempting to make this thing,
(22:15):
uh do what it's supposed to do. Here, you guys
just kind of keep talking for a second.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
This is when I.
Speaker 10 (22:24):
Really wish that I had, like I could just like
pull scarves out or something.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I really just hope you know this. You're freaking me out.
I hate this.
Speaker 7 (22:35):
I love you.
Speaker 10 (22:36):
I'm trying to go so non creepy so I wouldn't
scare you. Last time we were talking about your fear
of clowns. I have this little racer on my desk
that's a clown. I was like, oh no, I was
just like, you couldn't be in my house.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
I'm so sorry your house.
Speaker 10 (22:54):
I a friend of mine really likes clowns, and it's
become a thing. And now I like clowns, like I guess,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, I will say I might have said, hey, you're
not scary enough. You need a scarier clown, And I
will be the first to say that that's what I said.
Speaker 7 (23:15):
I was.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
I tamed it down a lot. It could have been
a lot worse.
Speaker 6 (23:22):
You need the clown, I actually.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
Specifically, so I've been a scare fact day.
Speaker 10 (23:27):
I specifically did not wear this there because it's black
and white, and I was like, there wasn't gonna think
I'm art the cloud and.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
I am not good. Everybody the art.
Speaker 10 (23:36):
And I saw many art the clowns today, including one
that was just like standing behind me, and I just
turned around.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
I was like, can I help you?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Disgusting?
Speaker 6 (23:44):
You wanted to give you some art Christians?
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Right, all right, guys? So I managed to. I got
it already. So the very first thing I want to
do before we move on, this will be the last
of the breaking rights. The horror. The horror trivia of
twenty twenty four was the supreme the coming up screams.
Yeah that was last year or twenty twenty five, okay, yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Or something else? Right, that was so long ago?
Speaker 1 (24:13):
No, that was actually it was like almost years a
year ago. All right. So there's a cup. I make
sure put this down. So some are multiple choice, some
are free form. There are no lifelines, there are no lookups.
Very important, and Queen Creep holds the final. Say that's great.
(24:34):
The winner, winner gets forty dollars Creepy cash to wherever
they want so, and that is that is cold hard cash.
That is not some fake cash I.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Didn't get last year.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
No monopoly money.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
No monopoly money that comes out of the creepy fund.
All right, so are you guys ready for your first question?
Speaker 7 (24:58):
I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
All right, We're starting with some easy one.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Are we doing like raise hand or how are we
doing this?
Speaker 1 (25:05):
We typically just call it out, okay, like I'll ask.
I'll ask you guys, not myrtle, and I'll shake it up.
In the in the PGS book movie hocus Pocus, what
are the first names of the Sanderson sisters?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Sarah?
Speaker 7 (25:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Are we just yelling at okay?
Speaker 1 (25:26):
A is Sally Marie and Winnifred, B is Winnifred Mary Sarah,
and C is Sarah Winnifred myrtle. All right, everyone's everyone
says B.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
A better name. I would have loved this.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
I love you, are right?
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yes, I love them.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yes it is b Winnifred, Mary, Doom Buddy. Yes, yea
they were. They were invited. But and you guys will
hear me. You guys will hear me read the questions
because this will also be an audio podcast. So I
want to make sure that people if they're listening. Hey,
(26:15):
do buddies here? Yeah, they were busy. They're off being famous. Yep,
I love it. So the next one in Friday the thirteenth.
What is the name of the summer camp where it
all takes place? Remember these are Warmer About Camp North Star,
(26:38):
B Camp Crystal Lake, or see Camp on A. Wanna
be all right? Everyone says B. I'm gonna go all
all right, here we go. You are right Camp Crystal. Yes,
(27:03):
I was gonna see if anybody got that.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Get out of here.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
I could give you all the actors of the Sanders
and sisters.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
I know, right, Jimmy, Sarah, Jessica, you know that.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Just a quick shout out. I want to make you
send us out. We love our we love our pets.
It is true because Doom Buddies. They were invited, but
they were just busy. That's no, nothing, nothing bad. She said.
We were invited, but my dog o got injured. So
I'm watching. We love our dog o, So I hope
they get the feeling better.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Yeah, I'm glad you're here.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
All right, So we got our next one. So what's
another name for a lichenthrope? Is it a vampire? B
a ghoul or c see Wait a minute, hold on,
uh so, Joe, what did you say?
Speaker 6 (28:08):
See?
Speaker 1 (28:09):
You said b see you said see yeah, say okay, Nick,
what did you say? Okay? And strange stock see yes okay?
And then Urdie.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
He said he.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
I did not he's.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
He he's a he.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
So I like that.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
You didn't even like try to line say he said B.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
All right, I got to write him down so that
I can so I can tally everything up at the end.
So all right, and it is see a werewolf?
Speaker 11 (28:53):
Right?
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (28:54):
What's the name of that movie?
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Underworld?
Speaker 6 (28:58):
Underworld? Thought those death so much? Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
That movie?
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Stop? All right, here we go. Okay, So where is
the famous witches chant double double toy and trouble, fire
burn and cauldron bubble? Originally from Is it a Saradwin,
(29:23):
the Irish goddess of magic and witches? Is it b Sir,
the mythological mistress of Mayhem? Or is it c the
weird sisters of Shakespeare's Macbeth, who said B.
Speaker 11 (29:41):
I said see, yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
I know I should get like little digital buzzers for
you guys. Okay, because I feel like it is.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I'm gonna go for se.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Nick, Okay, so ah, God, I'm gonna write that all down.
You are right, the weird sisters of Shakespeare, and this
is our first treat of the night. Are we ready
(30:20):
to cast this? Sam? Real quick? Is anybody like a
Shakespeare fan or no about Macbeth?
Speaker 4 (30:29):
I assume strange, but I'm by no means an expert.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Okay, all right, all right, here we go. So I'm
gonna read this one. So the lay of a fenny
snake in the cauldrin, boil and bake, I have newt
and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog, adders,
fork and blind worms, sting lizard's leg and howl. It's
(30:57):
wing for a charm of power, full trouble like a
hell broth. Boil and bubble, double double toil and trouble, fire,
burn and cauldron bubble. We are all now cursed. I
love this one.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Macbeth is actually a curse play, so it's pretty interesting.
All right, So here we go. We're gonna change it
up just a little bit. In the nineteen seventy nine
extraterrestrial horror Alien, what is the name of the spacecraft?
The crew is a board? Is it a the nebe Canezer.
(31:43):
Is it B the Nostradamis or is it C the Nostromo. Joe,
you go first because you are our previous winner. Oh,
I think you're.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Sorry, hit by the mute?
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Here do you go first?
Speaker 6 (32:08):
While we're waiting the ship, I can't see it.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Hey, Hey, okay, and strange Car.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I'm gonna go be no ster domas okay, and Nick
I'm gonna go be not Okay, you're back just in time.
Speaker 9 (32:36):
I'm gonna do a okay.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
So nobody got this one. So I was between B
and C h no drama. I thought it was one
of those pieces of information I get if you're so
focused on everything else, like people wouldn't know. Oh, it's
that techno. Techno wizard's answering the questions in the in.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
The chat, he means to be on here.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Yeah, Ghost ghost Dog says it's the USS. Gt Foh,
it's the USS. Get the fuck out of here. I agree.
I hate those movies.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
I love them.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
I have to have to avert my eyes. All right,
here we go, moving on, we're changing gears again. So
in nineteen eighty eight dark comedy Beetlejuice, the beloved Beetlejuice.
How many minutes does Michael Keaton appear on screen? Is
it A thirty two minutes? Is it B seventeen minutes?
(33:41):
Or is it C twenty six minutes?
Speaker 4 (33:45):
I feel like I saw TikTok about this, I really do.
I feel like I saw.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
See Okay, he already says see Alex, Okay.
Speaker 7 (33:55):
Nick, I'm gonna go see.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Okay, and then Joe, I'm see too, since the screen
team decided to see one of the follow suits. Man,
I am stumping you, guys. I was about to say
that the entire ninety two minute film Beatlejuice only only
(34:21):
shows up seventeen minutes that you actually see him.
Speaker 7 (34:27):
I'm so sad.
Speaker 12 (34:31):
Too.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
Yeah, I'm so upset right now.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Okay, So, according to the Merrion Webster's Dictionary, what is
another name for an ugly or grotesque sprite that's evil
and mischievous? Is it A a goblin? Is it B
a hex? Or is it C a ghoul? A? You
(35:00):
guys all say, is that what I heard? Okay? That
was easy? Then I just write it down. So this one,
you guys know? Ah, come, I love legend. Oh my god,
(35:24):
it's so good. They were so gross.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Gobble Fast, Blackest Midnight, Blackest pitch the farthest.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Yeah, they made him's blackest pitch bitch.
Speaker 7 (35:51):
No.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
No, I just realized I had like a supplemental stuff
here to tell you guys about these I was so
excited to get to have this stuff, and I forgot
that I was gonna tell you guys, there's.
Speaker 6 (36:03):
A hot, tight trilogy, A terrorist underrated.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
I don't know what that is.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
You know'm saying trilogy.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
It'sar No, I'm not really a Remember, I'm not like
a super scary.
Speaker 6 (36:16):
People look it up on YouTube.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
I will, I will now this one now. Blake says,
we see is a skilled huntsman and tracker and prided
himself on being the most blackhearted, ruthless and evil of
Darkness's goblins. And of course we love the Darkness because
that's another big famous one Tim Curry in his very
famous depiction. So I wanted had to put that one
(36:43):
in there, all right, So here we go. What was
the first horror movie to win the Best Picture? Oscar?
Was it a Silence of the Lambs? Was it b
The Exorcist? Or was it c The Shining See see
(37:04):
see yees see okay, Alex, what about you?
Speaker 4 (37:08):
Yeah? See oh man, oh.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
No, it's gonna be oh no, remember if it jumps me,
I'm still here.
Speaker 9 (37:22):
And not you.
Speaker 4 (37:22):
So that's good.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
There it goes.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
Silence of the Lambs. Yes, so Silence of the Lambs.
This is another one where he doesn't appear that much.
Uh so, Lecter only appears on screen for sixteen minutes
in this entire film.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
That is crazy.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Three movies have won all five of the Big Five Oscars.
It Happened One Night in nineteen thirty four, One Flew
Over the Cuckoo's Nest in nineteen seventy five, and The
Silence of the Lambs in nineteen ninety one, the Big Five.
So they took they took him home. All I have
Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best
(38:05):
Screenplay all in one night was a complete sweep.
Speaker 6 (38:08):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Isn't that crazy? Because I thought it now. The Exorcist
was the first one to be nominated, But these guys
were the first person. These guys were the first movie time.
Mm hmm, they were. I mean, they always snub horror
movies because they're usually just kind of like, you know,
gore and whatnot. But this one had a lot a
lot going on, all right, So speaking of movies, Speaking
(38:32):
of which movies, So what is widely considered the first
horror movie ever made? Is it A A Terrible Night?
Is it be The Vanishing Lady? Or is it c
House of the Devil?
Speaker 9 (38:49):
I feel just because of the title, I'm just gonna
go for see.
Speaker 7 (38:58):
I'm gonna go The Vanishing Lady.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Ah, you're gonna go a now URTI is he just
he just go.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
In and out for a second.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Okay, there we go, We got her, There we go. Okay,
so jar or I was just gonna write those down.
I was focusing on saving him. You said you were
gonna go see though, right, so you were the one? Yeah,
I got it. Okay, here we go, am bam bam.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Yeah I shouldn't do.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
So the House of the Devil was. This film features
a mischievous devil who appears in a medieval castle, conjures bats, ghosts,
and skeletons, and ultimately gets banished by a crucifix. The
director us stop motion substitution, uh stop stop motion substitution,
smoke and trap door tricks to make objects and creatures
(39:59):
appear and disappear, and these were techniques that actually laid
the foundation for the visual effects that we see today
in horror and fantasy movies.
Speaker 5 (40:08):
So let me just say the reason that I picked
The Vanishing Lady was because I thought about nineteen fifties,
like B rated horror movies and so like like the Blibe.
Speaker 7 (40:21):
The Fifty Foot Woman, different movies like that.
Speaker 5 (40:24):
And then of course you have Psycho from what was
at nineteen sixty I think, yeah, it was.
Speaker 7 (40:29):
A little from the title aspect.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
I just interpreted something more on the lines of that
to be known as something like that. But now I
have to check this out. I honestly didn't even know
about this one.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
It's a silent film, so there's there's no there's no talking,
but they have like little music over the top like
they did back you know, back in the day. All right,
so yeah, just just a little older.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
The pictures became the talkies.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Before the talkies. Yeah, so this one you'll notice really
in the background, I don't know if you can see her.
So this is another creep creation. The blood ghoul is
in the background.
Speaker 6 (41:09):
The blood.
Speaker 13 (41:10):
Yeah, she's creepy, yes, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
So which horror movie franchise was has the most sequels?
Is it a Nightmare on ELM Street? Is it B
Friday the thirteenth, or is it c hell Raiser? You're
do you go first? What did you say? Okay?
Speaker 4 (41:43):
And Alex, I am gonna go Friday the thirteenth.
Speaker 7 (41:50):
Okay, And I'm gonna go Friday the thirteen.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Okay, and Joe Friday thirteen Okay, you guys are correct
as Friday thirteenth.
Speaker 6 (42:11):
Yeah, guy, like some sequels that went straight to DVD.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
So they had it was I couldn't believe that there
was that many Friday the thirteenth movies.
Speaker 8 (42:23):
Technically there are thirteen because of Sweet Revenge.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Another expert on.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Here, because I movies that was just that was one
with me when you look them up trying to find
track all of them. That, Yeah, that's what I think.
That's what was on the website. So a lot going
on on that one. Now, this one is a true
or false. Early New Englanders protected their homes by evil
(42:51):
spirits by hiding their shoes in the walls. True or false?
Joe you go first?
Speaker 8 (42:58):
Oh true?
Speaker 1 (43:03):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (43:03):
Nick true?
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Okay, Alex true true? Well okay, yeah, going a little
controversy there. It is true, and this one I had
to find out why it was true. Uh So, early
(43:27):
settlers brought with them the superstitions of the old world.
They believe that witches or melevant mel I can't say that,
I know what you mean. Yeah, that word's giving me
a hard time. Yes, spirits could enter homes through openings, doorways, chimneys,
or even cracks in the walls or symbolic item within
(43:51):
these entry points, they hope to confuse or repel whatever
dark forces tried to enter. Shoes, in particular, were thought
to hold the essence or imprint of their owner. So
now when they're ripping down these old houses, there's actually
like they're finding shoes in the walls. And they had
to figure out why they kept finding shoes in.
Speaker 7 (44:12):
The walls wild.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
All right, So one of the most despised pieces of
Halloween candy is the candy corn. Name the three colors
in candy corn, in order from the pointed top to
the wide box. All right, not everybody speak up at once?
(44:39):
Oh wait, she went what did she went first? What
did you say?
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Yellow orange?
Speaker 1 (44:45):
Okay? Gurdy s yellow orange? Okay?
Speaker 7 (44:51):
Nick, yellow white orange.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
I'm trying to remember now because I don't have the
picture in front of me.
Speaker 9 (45:01):
Okay, and Joe the same from what Strange Stocks did because.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
Its exactly.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
And then I'm good.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
It is white, orange yellow. Yeah, so all you guys
were wrong. Yeah, there's it's gross. So I had to
I knew I was gonna had to put like a
visual question in there because that always throws everybody off. Okay,
(45:39):
so this one we have a hopefully hopefully someone will
know this. So what famous movie serial killer is immortalized
with a statue at the bottom of a lake in Crosby, Minnesota.
Is it a Jason Voorhees, Is it B Michael Myers?
Or is it c go face? Joe? You go first?
Speaker 6 (46:02):
Hey, okay, did go first?
Speaker 1 (46:09):
What do you think?
Speaker 11 (46:10):
Nick?
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Before he's okay, strange shock, Yeah, before he's yeah, yardy.
Speaker 6 (46:17):
Hey okay he said, see I did not.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
That's actually terrifying. Go down.
Speaker 7 (46:31):
Imagine like swimming down and.
Speaker 9 (46:33):
Seeing that, Like if you don't even watch scary movies
and you don't know who that is, are you just
see that?
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Oh and he's just there?
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 7 (46:43):
Yeah, I'm out if I see that.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 11 (46:48):
He is?
Speaker 1 (46:49):
He is. He is completely accurate, and that's what's wild.
So this man made lake was a flooded mind pit.
In two twenty thirteen, a minute to diver and electrician
named Doug Klein built this life size Jason Vorhe's mannequin,
complete with signature hockey mask and machete prop and submerged
(47:09):
it in the mind pit for divers to discover. Talk
about pooping your pants.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
I'm amlassing. You know nothing about this movie. You dive down,
you see this? You know what is with them?
Speaker 5 (47:22):
And Fucky Yeah, hey, guys, and air and Air from
Doombadys is a massive Jason fan.
Speaker 7 (47:31):
Yeah, that is her favorite.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
That's her boot. Okay, Well is at the bottom of
a lake scaring people up?
Speaker 8 (47:39):
We need this one, all right?
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Little classic here. So in nineteen seventy eight, the horror
classic Halloween, what actor played Laurie Strode? Was it a
Janet Lee? Was it b Jamie Lee Curtis or was
it see Heather Langencamp. We'll go in the middle, Alex,
you go first.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
Be Jamie Lee Curtis, okay.
Speaker 7 (48:09):
And Nick Jamie Lee?
Speaker 1 (48:12):
All right? Erti b okay and Joe b b.
Speaker 12 (48:20):
Ye know, yes, here she is and that's Michael. That's sorry,
he said sha.
Speaker 9 (48:39):
Bye.
Speaker 6 (48:40):
The only movie where Michael Mars could drive.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Now that's a good trivia question.
Speaker 2 (48:48):
How he learned how to drive? We don't know.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
Okay, so you guys knew I had to put a
Ghostbusters question and yeah you so it's guaranteed in the
movie Ghostbusters, the most cherished movie by missus creep Uh.
What useful catalog is referenced where the name zool can
be found? Is it a Spangler's spirit guide? Is it
(49:14):
be Tobin's Spirit guide? Or is it c spaces catalog? Joe,
you go first?
Speaker 2 (49:27):
Oh no, you're muted.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
Okay, here do you go first?
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (49:35):
Let's say a okay, Alex.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
Might go be Tobin's spirit guid?
Speaker 7 (49:44):
Okay, Nick, let's go with the spirit guide?
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Which one? There's two b B okay and Joe? Do
we have you back?
Speaker 9 (49:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (49:57):
I can hear you.
Speaker 9 (49:58):
You know, the champ wasn't the champ with doing some things?
So see, we're just gonna do everybody.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
Sack happens. It happens.
Speaker 9 (50:10):
We get a little competitive wrongs.
Speaker 6 (50:16):
In a case like this, which often brings results.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Well, I could go to Hall of records and check
out the structural details in the building.
Speaker 5 (50:22):
Maybe the building itself has a history of psychic turbulence.
Speaker 8 (50:25):
I could look for the name Zool and the usual
literature Spakes Catalog, Tobin Spirit.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Guide, Trick Question, Apartment, and Trick Question. They reference both
the Spaces Catalog and yes, I am holding a copy
of the Tobin Spirit Guide. So you guys all got
it wrong. It's trick Question. Alex was the closest, so
(50:50):
she gets points.
Speaker 4 (50:51):
That's why I was like, I was debating between the two.
I was like, what do you mean They're both in there?
Speaker 1 (50:56):
But I was like, yeah, right, yeah. I was like, oh,
am I gonna get him?
Speaker 6 (51:02):
Yep.
Speaker 10 (51:02):
I was like.
Speaker 6 (51:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:10):
I was like, come on, my paranormal girl better know this.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
I know.
Speaker 10 (51:14):
I was just I was like, they're both in there,
but like one's probably right, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Yep, all right, so we're going here for another. I
love this movie too. In the nineteen ninety six horror
comedy The Frighteners, a viscous material can be seen dripping
from the ghost's face and ears. What does Banister call
the substance? Is it a slime? Is it b ectoplasm
(51:41):
or is it C conduit? Uh, Joe, you go first
going up and down? B.
Speaker 7 (51:50):
Okay, Nick, I'm gonna go with C.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Okay, all right, Alex, I'm not going with okay and you're.
Speaker 8 (52:04):
Oh God, go with B because a little frighteners me.
Speaker 4 (52:10):
I haven't actually seen that one. That's what I was like,
normal girly.
Speaker 9 (52:20):
Watch.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
It's Michael J. Fox, Michael J. Fox and a horror
like a legit horror movie.
Speaker 6 (52:26):
The movie when they went to.
Speaker 12 (52:29):
Her through the other side again you becomes will come
spirit anyway.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
Then we'll get there.
Speaker 7 (52:38):
Part of et classic.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
Now was that Joanna that I heard say that you've
been hanging out with me?
Speaker 2 (52:54):
I get class is.
Speaker 4 (52:57):
The correct term?
Speaker 10 (52:58):
It being a horror comedy and me not having seen
it somehow, I was like, they'd probably call it slun
because they probably don't know the term right true, So.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
What the so fun fact? Ectoplasm or com also heard ecto,
is a real term that was coined by Charles Rashe
in eighteen ninety four, referencing that substance that the physical
mediums would produce during a seance. Most proven hoaxes, but
(53:28):
the University of Cambridge has four slide sample photos. If
you wanted to check it out in their digital library
that you can check out if you want to actually
see what ectoplasm looks like. So that's fun little fact
for you. But I had to have a couple of
good ones in here. I think people have forgotten about
(53:49):
this one. So the anal classic classic. It's terrifying.
Speaker 4 (53:58):
You hate clouds, I hate spiders.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
Spot Let me give me a spider each day. I
don't care.
Speaker 1 (54:05):
Yeah right here? Oh no, no, I missed my little
my spider buddy. He used to I used to have one.
He was up on his little shelf over there. I
loved him. You're like, I'm never coming over franchils.
Speaker 10 (54:19):
Weirdly, I could deal with more because they're basically mamples
of that because they're so big.
Speaker 1 (54:27):
Oh my goodness. Uh So, speaking of spiders, uh the
animatronic spider the general quote unquote being at the climax
of nineteen nineties, iraq Nophobia was a prop built by
which MythBusters star. Was it a grant Imahara, was it
b Adam Savage or was it c Jamie Heineman. We'll
(54:51):
start at the top, Jo, you go first. See Okay, Nick,
I'm gonna go with a Okay, Alex.
Speaker 4 (55:04):
I'm gonna go with the Adam Savage.
Speaker 1 (55:07):
Okay, and Yardy.
Speaker 6 (55:11):
I'm gonna go with.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
B okay. And that's why she's called the champ folks.
Joe is the only one who got that one right.
Speaker 4 (55:24):
I just didn't want to.
Speaker 2 (55:27):
The witch And.
Speaker 6 (55:31):
Right now I absolutely looking for.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Gooli Khan if you want to know.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
So, Yes, Jamie Heineman is the one who actually made
the General a k A Big Bob. That was the
one that comes after Jeff Daniels in the end. He
is the one who made it.
Speaker 6 (55:48):
So you're listening to right a Phobia h A House.
Speaker 1 (55:54):
It is. It is a scary movie. I love John
Goodman in that movie too, Okay, Switching Gears. We're still
kind of sticking with classics because I think people forget
about these. So in nineteen sixty eight, the horror classic
Rosemary's Baby, what book is given to Roseberry by Hutch
to warn her about the witches? Is it a all
(56:17):
of them Witches? Is it b Hammer of the Witches?
Or is it See the Ruin of the Witches? Will
start in the middle, Nick, you go first.
Speaker 7 (56:28):
I'm gonna go with See the Ruin of all Witches.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
Okay, Yeah, you'redy I want to go with see as
Will Okay, Alex, I'm.
Speaker 4 (56:41):
Gonna go with a all of Them Witches okay, and Joe.
Speaker 9 (56:47):
I'm like, a actually a all of them which.
Speaker 8 (56:50):
Actually actually yeah down the middle, yeah, split, it.
Speaker 1 (56:57):
Is all of them, which is so in the in
this Polanski adaptation because it was a book originally. When
Rosemary receives the book All of Them Witches, she is
told by Hutch's daughter that the last thing her father
says was the name is an anagram. At the time,
(57:19):
she tries to rearrange the letters of the book title
using her little book game, but then realizes that the
clue referred to a name within the book. However, the
title actually is an anagram for hell a cometh swift. So, yeah,
that was I recently rewatched that movie and I was like,
this is intense for a sixty it.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
Is it is Rosemary's Berry is a Yeah.
Speaker 10 (57:46):
I watch it about once a year and it's so
slow that I fall asleep and then I wake up
when they're all yelling hale scene and I'm.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
Like, yeah, I got well that's a way to wake up. Okay.
Moving to another classic here in nineteen ninety two's horror
comedy Death Becomes Her was It was originally slated to
be an installment in what famous film anthology? Was it
(58:14):
the X Files? Was it B Tales from the Crypt?
Or was it C Tales from the Dark Side. So
we'll we'll start. We'll be starting, Nick last time, Alex,

Speaker 10 (58:34):

Speaker 1 (58:42):
You is such a I love this movie so much.
Speaker 4 (58:45):

And uh Nick, Tales from the Crypt.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
Okay and Joe, Yeah, Tales from the Crypt Okay?
Speaker 4 (59:10):
Did we get it?
Speaker 6 (59:11):
Did we.
Speaker 4 (59:13):
Title flavored?
Speaker 2 (59:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (59:24):
Gang game game?
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Or are you seeing Tales from the Crypt? So Deafty
Comes Her was originally conceived as a movie sequel to
Tales from the Crypt, like the movie, and this origin
is why the film feels like a long Tales from
the Crypt episode which it does. I didn't think about
that until afterwards. The nineteen ninety two film even used
(59:50):
the Tales from the Crypt theme song in its initial
trailer before it was changed into a standalone movie. Really
fun fact. I know, I love those gals. All right,
little Halloween trivia here, So before we carved pumpkins, what
(01:00:15):
root vegetable did the Irish carve for Halloween? Instead? Is
it a parsnips? Is it b turnips? Or is it
c rude vegas? Joe will start the talks. We haven't
started with you in a while.
Speaker 9 (01:00:31):
I feel turns is calling me and I don't know why. Okay,
I feel like we had this last year.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
No, it's not a repeat. No, I wrote it all right, just.
Speaker 7 (01:00:52):
Turnips.
Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
You say turnips? Okay, Alex, She says, it's turnips.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Talking about everybody on his panel.
Speaker 6 (01:01:04):
Yeah, Yardie, what about you rolling with the white carrot questions?
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Hmm, I love got to write something down the last one.
It is a turnip. They are scarier than jack o' lanterns.
Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
If you ask me, it like baby group.
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
It does.
Speaker 6 (01:01:33):
So.
Speaker 1 (01:01:33):
Carving turnips was a Celtic tradition dating back to the
nineteenth and earliest twentieth centuries. Uh, jack o' lanterns first
started when people carved grotesque and monstrous faces into turnips
and other root vegetables, but started with the turnip and
placed them in windows and doorsteps to ward off unwanted
(01:01:53):
visitors and evil spirits.
Speaker 8 (01:01:57):
So get rid of all vampires, Nope, fuka turnips?
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Yes, apparently spirit.
Speaker 6 (01:02:06):
Demons from hell?
Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
All right, so another true, false, true or false trick
or treating has existed since medieval times, and we'll start
at the bottom, Yuradie, what do you say true? I
forgot to write the number down, okay, and alex.
Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
Ooh, I'm gonna go with false.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
Okay, alien trick question fifty fifty so far fifty to fifty.
I'm also gonna go false okay, And Joe.
Speaker 9 (01:02:46):
I'm gonna go true because I feel like I've seen
a lot of costumes that look like they were in
the medievals and they were scary.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
A lot of them that you're seeing is actually it's
actually not that old, but but yes they are, like, yeah,
exactly what you're talking about, you know, yeah, Like it's
just the way they look. They're terrifying. So it is true.
In one thousand a d poor people would visit the
(01:03:17):
houses of wealthier families and receive pastries called soul cakes
in exchange for a promise to pray for the souls
of the homeowner's dead relatives, known as souling. The practice
was later taken up by children, who would go from
door to door asking for gifts such as food, money,
and ale. Yes, kids would ask for ale.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
And than drinking normal water.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
Yeah it was bright. Let's see here looking back through.
I know our comments go on the side, but that
means that they're telling me. That doesn't tell me, so
I have to look real quick. All right, this one's
a fun one. I hope you guys know this. So
what's the shape of the mayor's bow tie in the
(01:04:08):
Nightmare before Christmas? This better show up in the comments. Oh,
if you guys are listening, I'm gonna wait a second,
and you guys better put this in the comments, and
then I'll ask you guys in.
Speaker 6 (01:04:20):

It's it's nine o'clock at night. I'm old you I can.
Speaker 9 (01:04:33):
I can, just because you're lady.
Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Okay, so Joanna, please tell me that the champion and
someone who I know watches PG spooks.
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
I know, I'll know.
Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
You better give me the right answer.
Speaker 10 (01:04:49):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Okay, I need to think.
Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
What is your answer?
Speaker 6 (01:04:52):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
Because okay, let me think.
Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
I'm not letting anybody else go before you. You're gonna
have to get it.
Speaker 13 (01:05:02):
See see it's not a cat Okay, no final answer,

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Okay, wrong? Yeah, you're fired if you get this wrong. Alex,

Speaker 11 (01:05:25):
Imm oh, no, between two, this movie so much, I'm
gonna go with.
Speaker 4 (01:05:36):
I'm gonna go and see.
Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Almost do already. What's your answer? See, Nick, I'm very
sad it is a spider.
Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
I was like I was so between the spider and
the bad.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Because I felt like I was at first.
Speaker 10 (01:06:01):
And I know, I was like, im doing this and
I was like, you can only do those with bat wings.
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
But then I was like, I don't think he does.
Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
That because he grabs the he up, he grabbed it
and then does this and the little wings are still going.
Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
Has the bat wings. I'm like, I don't think is
that though. I think I'm Lockdowns. I don't like Snyders.
Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
Yeah, la la, la la la. Okay, let me write
my number down. Okay, So this is a name that movie.
A group of misguided animal rights activists free a cage
chimp infected with quote unquote rage virus from a medical
research lab. Is it a outbreak? Is it B twenty
(01:06:42):
eight days later or is it C quarantined? You're to
Europe first?
Speaker 6 (01:06:48):
Ay?
Speaker 10 (01:06:50):
Okay, Alex Am I gonna be twenty eight days later?
Speaker 7 (01:06:55):
Okay, Nick, I'm gonna go out break.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
Okay, and Joe b the ladies bringing home.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Because the quarantine was there.
Speaker 11 (01:07:15):
Was like three over.
Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
These zombies are crazy. I actually had never seen this
until recently, and Mike suggested it and it was scary.
Now we've watched them all.
Speaker 10 (01:07:26):
You have seen twenty eight years later, I'm how how
I'm ready for the sequel.
Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
To that one.
Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
I'm just not a big like zombie gal.
Speaker 6 (01:07:40):
I'm just not.
Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on, you better get
it after that craziness. In the nineteen seventy six horror
film Carry, what supernatural ability does the protagonist possess? Is
it a telekinesis is it B telepathy or is it
(01:08:07):
C teleportations? Joe, you go first teleonesis Okay, I had
a feeling you would get that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
I'm a witch.
Speaker 4 (01:08:18):

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
We know a fire?
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):

up and down Telics okay, and Alex Teles all right
and beardy Okay. It seems like we're all in agree here.
It is Teleconesis now the.
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
Still travel.
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
He's some of these scary, like older movies are more
scary than some of the new ones in my In
my opinion, I think.
Speaker 4 (01:09:06):
It's because they relied more on practical effects only, so.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
It was like more believable. Yeah, like now it's all digital.
Speaker 6 (01:09:16):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Oh, I know what's coming after this, so I'm all
excited now, okay, So, speaking of Jack ofe lanterns, what
does the term jack o' lantern originate from? So it's
a story. Is it about rich Jack, A B stingy
(01:09:36):
Jack or c poor Jack.
Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
I'm that's a good question.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
I'm gonna say poor Jack.
Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
I'm okay, does I just feel all right?
Speaker 7 (01:09:50):
Nick, I'm gonna poor Jack, stingy Jack.
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Okay, Alex, I'm gonna also go stingy Jack okay, And
You're I'm going Jack as well, Okay. All right, sorry, Joe.
Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
Damn, I'm gonna say it. Joe's gonna win point and.
Speaker 9 (01:10:12):
Be like, no, it's okay, let's not have that one.
Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Yeah, yeah, let's not have it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
It's fine, okay. Now with us mentioning stingy Jack, I
have a little campfire story for you guys. Uh, So
you're gonna gather around the campfire, the creepy campfire, and
I turned the lights off too.
Speaker 11 (01:10:41):
Hm.
Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
Here we go. So long ago, in the misty hills
of Ireland, there lived a man named Jack, though most
called him stingy Jack. He was a miser, a trickster,
and a man with a wicked tongue. He thought himself
(01:11:05):
more clever than both priest and devil alike. One dark
autumn night, as the wind rattled the thatch of his cottage,
Jack met the devil himself. The devil had come to
claim Jack's soul, but Jack, sly as ever, convinced the
(01:11:30):
devil to share one last drink with him at the
local tavern. When the bill came, Jack, true to his name,
refused to pay. Instead, he suggested the devil transform into
a silver coin to cover the cost. Amused, the devil agreed,
(01:11:54):
but the moment he changed, Jack snatched the coin and
stuffed it into his pocket beside the small silver cross.
The devil was trapped, hissing and writhing, but unable to escape.
Jack bargained for his freedom. He would release the devil
(01:12:15):
only if he promised to leave Jack's soul alone for
ten years. Reluctantly, the devil agreed. Ten years passed, and
the devil returned, but Jack sill a sly asked for
one last request, a single apple plucked from a high tree.
(01:12:40):
As the devil climbed the branches, Jack carved across into
the bark, trapping the devil once again. This time, Jack
demanded that the devil never claim his soul at all.
With a growl, the devil had no choice but to
A years later, Jack's hard drinking and hard living caught
(01:13:06):
up with him and he died. But when he reached
Heaven's gate, they slammed shut. No soul so wicked would
ever be allowed in. So he went to hell, but
the devil kept his word and turned him away, laughing,
(01:13:28):
Where then shall I go? Jack asked, back to the dark.
The devil replied, find your own place, and so Jack
was cursed. To wander the earth forever, caught between worlds.
The devil mocked him, tossed him a single burning coal
(01:13:48):
from the fires of hell. Jack hollowed out a turnip
and placed the coal inside, using it as a lantern
to light his endless path. On stormy nights, when the
wind moans and shadows stretch across the fields, some say
you can still see Jack O' lantern wandering with his
(01:14:11):
cursed light, searching, always, searching for a home he will
never find. So beware if you see a strange flicker
in the dark on Halloween night, for it may not
be a pumpkin glowing at all. It may be stingy Jack,
doomed to roam forever, watching you from the shadows. O.
Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
Good job, because we love the story. Good job, all right, I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
Glad you guys enjoyed that. I had to tell a
little creepy tale.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Tale.
Speaker 10 (01:14:57):
You have to have to halfway through October to Halloween.
Not halfway with the year, but halfway through October to Halloween.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
Yeah right. I was like, yeah, I saw, I saw that,
and I like rolled it up, like I had to
do it, all right, So now I'm going to tabulate
we're gonna figure out who who took the wind? It
might be it might be Joanna. But already you did
answer a lot of questions. Correct, I'm telling you he didn't.
He didn't. He did not.
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
Stop you already stop stop.
Speaker 6 (01:15:33):

Speaker 1 (01:15:45):

Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
Yes, I'm going to see just the darkness.
Speaker 1 (01:16:29):
Oh, I've already forgot. Hold on, what was questions? I
wrote down the number, but I didn't write down who
answered it? Mm hmm, hold on, I had no you
guys just didn't You guys all go to Chen this year?
Speaker 7 (01:16:43):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (01:16:44):

Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
So?
Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
What was your what was your favorite favorite room? Yeah? Chen,
so you had to pick one if you had to
pick a single one.
Speaker 6 (01:17:04):

Speaker 8 (01:17:24):
So scarecrow is all about the like the actual scarecrows
on this abandoned home.
Speaker 6 (01:17:33):
The scarecrows are come.
Speaker 8 (01:17:34):
To life to literally kill every trespasser and and passer byr.

Speaker 1 (01:18:04):
Are you like real haunted cornfields?
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:18:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:18:08):
When I still lived in Ohio, I briefly lived in
a trailer park that had a cornfield at the university
and that cors haunted.
Speaker 1 (01:18:19):
You do you think like in real life.
Speaker 4 (01:18:23):
Like real cornfields I think are probably haunted.
Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
Yes, that's a theory.
Speaker 6 (01:18:28):
That's the theory, like there's episode.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
That's an episode. Yeah, that's crazy. But they are spooky.
They're really spooky, like you and you can't your eyes
can't watch everything at once.
Speaker 5 (01:18:46):
You got your You've got your like theatrical haunted houses
or whatever, and those are always awesome, but nothing beats
an old school cornfield, like a just a creepy corn maze.
Speaker 1 (01:19:02):
And in Washington they had I might have told you
guys this, But in Washington I went through one and
like the first part was like a haunted forest to
get to the cornfield, and somebody found somebody had said

once we rounded and we got into the cornfield, these
(01:19:22):
actors started saying my name. But it was like, oh well,
and I was like you mother truckers. I was so
I hated it. I hated the whole experience.
Speaker 6 (01:19:37):
Man, sounds like somebody's upcoming troop.
