The state of Florida recently became the 15th largest economy in the world, if it were a nation of its own, with a gross domestic product exceeding $1.7 trillion. That’s not just happening by chance. The Florida Chamber Foundation has set a long-term goal of making Florida a top 10 global economy by 2030. Florida has surpassed Spain and stands just $25.5 billion behind Australia.
Recently, Florida Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Mark Wilson visited the Daytona Beach region, and he stopped in to discuss the growing Florida economy, what’s needed to continue that growth, as well as hot topics expected to be a prominent part of the upcoming legislative session.
