Natasha Bray, DO, MSEd, FACP, FACOI, FNAOME, is the Campus Dean of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, OK. Dr. Bray has extensive experience in the development, accreditation, and delivery of educational programs for both undergraduate and graduate medical education. In her role as Campus Dean at the nation’s first tribally affiliated medical school, Dr. Bray plays an important role in developing the next generation of healthcare providers, specifically those serving in rural communities and tribal nations. In this episode, Dr. Bray discusses with Dr. Johnson how she came to serve as Campus Dean, why DEI in healthcare education is important to her, and the partnership between Oklahoma State University and the Cherokee Nation. In talking about the relationship between OSU and the Cherokee Nation, Dr. Bray is able to talk about diversity, what it means to be a neighbor, and how to be good partners.
