Speaker 1 (00:18):
Crying in my Jacuzzi.
The times we are living in arechaotic.
We know this.
(00:41):
We feel this chaotic, we knowthis.
We feel this.
So many of us are dysregulated, deeply in the uncertainty.
But I want to also offer.
The future is unwritten and inhonoring our agency, we must
(01:02):
remember that our stories, thestories we tell ourselves, the
stories we tell each other, thestories that we amplify, we are
making new stories all the time.
When we are in uncertainty andwhen we are trying to be more
conscious and more aware of thestories that we are telling, we
(01:23):
need guidance.
All of us do.
And the good news is, my dear,is that guidance is all around
us.
Maybe it's in nature, maybeit's in your own body, maybe
it's just a sense and connectionto what you call resonance,
what you call God, what you callgoddess, what you believe about
(01:45):
the nature of being and reality.
Maybe it's your cats, maybeit's sacred texts, maybe it's
divination tools, card decks, maybe other humans, maybe the
sky, maybe trees, maybe the dirt, maybe the fungal network
(02:06):
singing beneath the soil, maybeinterdimensional beings that you
communicate with on the regular, maybe through your Akashic
Records practice.
I don't know, it doesn't reallymatter, it's yours.
So, wherever you turn forguidance, know that you are
(02:28):
practicing slow down medicinebecause you have to slow down to
ask, to listen, to trust, toact, to be curious, to be
willing to receive, to bevulnerable, to ask big questions
and to say I don't know exactlywhat the answer is.
But I'm here, I'm payingattention and where we put our
attention matters and we can bevery subversive with our
(02:52):
attention.
And I'm going to say, in theworld of materialism, using our
attention to attend to theunseen realms is incredibly
subversive.
Rebels.
Rebels To lean into the mysterywillingly instead of just
(03:15):
muppeting around in the chaosand uncertainty, but to choose
it agentially.
What a radical, beautiful actof magical agency.
And so I am called right now totake us on a little trip to
visit one of my dear friends, the brilliant Mary Evans.
(03:37):
Some of y'all might know her asSpirit Speak, the designer,
creator, artist, oracle behindSpirit Speak Tarot and Oracle
Dex.
She's a sculptor, she's a videoartist.
I mean oof, I can't wait foryou to meet her.
We actually have to travel downa wishing well to find her, but
(04:03):
it's going to be great.
Come on, all right, we're justgoing to's gonna be great.
Come on, all right, we're justgonna hop in this bucket.
Come on in.
Plenty of room Gonna lower down.
Oh, I actually love the smellof mildew.
It's very sentimental for me.
Okay, we're gonna drop all theway down.
(04:24):
Okay, hold your breath.
We are gonna travel throughthis little twinkly portal right
here and I think that'll takeus to her spot.
Ah, yes, here she is.
Let me present to you thebrilliant oracular, mary Evans.
How wonderful it is to all betogether here in the
(04:50):
Jacuzzi-verse, for all of youout there in crybaby land.
(05:15):
We're in mary evans, umgorgeous studio, and it is full
of magic and wonder and I meanthere is so.
I mean, look at all of that.
What are those?
Oh, collection of shells.
There's seashells.
Oh, are those the little orbs?
Yeah, ugh, seashells, orbsportals.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Wish machines and
wishing wells, oh my god wish
machines and wishing wells.
So should I pull some cards?
Yeah, I think that would begreat.
Normally the way that I do thisis I develop a spread based on
what we're going to be lookinginto.
(05:52):
I make a custom spread, so Inormally put the name at the top
, so I'm just going to writecollective and then I try and
find maybe one or two or threefocus areas.
What I have here are like kindof three focus areas, but this
one's kind of a division of thefirst but looking into
(06:17):
collective avenues of creativityor what's specifically useful
to focus on creativity or what'sspecifically useful to focus on
, and then thinking in creativeways or thinking creatively for
each other, like adaptivecreativity.
That's almost like a problemsolving creativity I feel,
(06:38):
whereas this one is more likewhat is you, what is like maybe
mentally helpful to like focuson, like everyone's well-being,
maybe.
And then the last one whathelps conjure courage to
challenge systems, and we'lllook specifically about within
and also outside.
So that's kind of how I like toorganize.
(07:00):
Great, okay, yeah, anythingelse you want to?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
add.
I mean, I could do this all daylong.
We're like here is our 37 pointspread, get ready.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
So I'm gonna use two
tarot decks and an oracle deck
do you hear that cry, baby?
It's our future being divine, the present being divine, yeah
(07:33):
so normally I ask whoever I'mgiving a reading to if I can
have permission to speak totheir helpful and benevolent
guides.
So I'll just say that, like, anyone who gives me that
permission can accept thereading as it is, and if that's
not feeling good, they can likemove along.
I guess yeah and not not have totake in the messages.
(07:54):
Yeah, I would like thepermission to speak for helpful
and benevolent guides for thecollective y'all, there's
(08:17):
already a lot of cards goingthis is my thing that I do, I
love and, like I'm an artist, soI love the visuals.
Yeah, on um, that's part of whatI love about this practice and
um, so I love seeing all theimages, like talking to each
other, like I think thateveryone has their own practice
(08:38):
and sometimes like a reallysimple read can be the best
thing, um, but I do pull a lotof cards, it's so great and I'll
take a.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
I'll take a photo and
put it in the show notes so
folks can um, can see once we'veflipped them all over so we
have our different sections hereand I'm just going to start
pulling and seeing what we havehere.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
I might actually go
one at a time and then look at
them all together.
So here's the first kind ofsection that we have avenues of
creativity and what's useful tofocus on.
Oh, so the way that I pulledthis was some cards for
information and then a crossingcard, which for me, I normally
(09:25):
read as something that might bein the way or that's nudging for
attention or a blockpotentially, and then a tool
card, so something that's usefulto help move that block out of
the way.
And in our general read here.
I love it because we're talkingabout wishes and I'm making a
lot of work about wishes, butthe wish card, which is a
birthday cake and a rainbow-which, by the way, these are all
(09:47):
Mary's cards.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
All the links will be
in the show notes, but these
are.
These are all of her from herown creative heart all my babies
yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
So, and I only use
one deck that had color in this
reading, and so I don't reallyread in traditional ways where,
like I read things upside downor this and that I more read,
like just visually in general.
So the fact that the one cardthat has color in the center is
the wish card, and it's likeilluminating to me to the rest
of the reading.
(10:21):
But the general cards that arecoming up are the king of
pentacles with the five of wands, which is kind of an intense
combo.
Ultimately, like what I want tosay, for like what's useful and
avenues of creativity, is totry your best to pick your
(10:42):
battles as far as like gettingburnt out with energy, and I'm
like speaking to myself rightnow.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Oh, yes, yes, yes yes
, this is perfect.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
The five of wands I
normally see, is like a bit of a
hothead character of like justeasily inflamed, and so I also
want to like put that messageout of trying to do whatever you
can do to mellow out theinflammation in the mind and in
the daily life, because it'sjust, it's not that it's not
useful, it's just that it caneasily lead to burnout along
(11:15):
with the king of pentacles, andI always think of the king of
pentacles as like, what do youwant me to do?
daddy pentacles are of the earthrealm and the material realm
and I think of him as likesomeone who can sell dog shit
and make it amazing and popularbecause they're so savvy and
wise in ways of the earth.
So those two it's about likeusing your, your resources, not
(11:38):
just materially, but using yourresources in wise ways, or being
mindful of where you're puttingyour energy.
Self-delegation when it comesto the long game, yes, and the
King of Pentacles has like a lotof energy and a lot of force
and a lot of wisdom and thatsort of creativity of inventions
(11:59):
on earth.
Yeah.
But then the Five of Wands ispent up with a lot of sort of
like quick, hot energy finding agood way to find a pace.
But also I love that the wishcard is on top of them because I
was thinking about wishes.
As someone who grew up doing alot of prayer, I think of wish
as prayer, without penance, without any sort of other
(12:20):
structural contingencies, without any sort of other
structural contingencies, andit's just this pure, unattached
inkling or desire.
So it is a sense of hopefulnessto me, like whimsy, that, along
with more of that heavy work ofself-delegation and monitoring
(12:41):
your energy, is, don't forget,to just make wishes.
Don't forget that you can dreamimpossible dreams.
You know, for yourself, for theworld, for others.
There's no harm in makingwishes.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Oh hi, it's me.
Janet, this is an ad-ish.
It's mainly a thing Dana wantsyou to know about it because it
could change your world.
You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Are you a
well-seasoned troublemaker or
maybe just dipping your toe infor the first time?
New to the troublemaking game?
Wherever you are on thespectrum, my gorgeous, gorgeous
crybaby, beautiful Trouble isfor you.
It's a book, it's a strategycard deck, it's an online
toolbox, a creative campaignincubator for all your activism
(13:27):
local, big, global troublemakingneeds and desires.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu callsbeautiful trouble a crucial
resource for change makers.
In a movement moment, there'sso rarely a shortage of energy,
of zeal, of vigor, but there isoften room to grow with our
(13:49):
skills.
So, whether it's just you, ormaybe you and a couple of
friends trying to buildsomething in your community or
trying to lift something biggerwith others, everything and
anything that you might need tomake that absolutely
irresistible beautiful troubleis just waiting for you.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
What is crossing or
blocking is another wands card,
the knight of wands and I alwayssee the knights, you know
they're traditionally onhorseback, so there are things
that are coming in, or likemovement and wands being the
suit of higher learning, creativity and physical movement
(14:36):
is again that tension ofwanting things to move quickly,
wanting things to burst throughand not maybe having channels
yet.
But the tool or like the remedyor helpful friend that can kind
of move this out of the way isthe ace of wands.
More wands, lots of fire goingon, but the ace of wands is like
(14:58):
pure light bulb of creativity, pureness of having a brilliant
idea without needing to haveinfrastructure for it just yet.
One way to deal withfrustrations of things not
feeling like they're moving fastenough, or like things aren't
coming through enough, or ifthings feel stuck, is to try and
shift focus to pureness ofcreation or idea brewing,
(15:23):
without how it all necessarilyfalls into place in that exact
moment, if that makes sense uh,yeah, it makes all the sense in
the whole world.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
this is exactly what
I need to hear, and I will be
the channel conduit forcrybabies everywhere, because I
heard some serious slowdownmedicine challenges inside of
that.
All the things might not becoming together, but letting the
(15:53):
brilliance, luminosity, illumination of the idea, of the
wish, of the desire.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Yes, that's what I'm
hearing from this.
Yes, and I think of like in.
In tarot we have like the suitstarts with the page and goes up
to the king, and a lot of timesI think about that in terms of
age, like page is the youth andking is like the most
established, most like hardenedand also wise and there's value
in both.
But something that the youthhas, I mean a lot of, a lot of
(16:22):
this is like coming up againstinfrastructure and old guard,
which is more of that likeestablished area, but the youth
is not concerned with how thingsare necessarily done and that's
how they invent and I work withkids so I connect with that
energy of pure light bulb, ofjust exuberance of invention or
(16:45):
thinking about thingsdifferently, because they're
looking at things with fresheyes, and so that's part of that
ace of wands, is like being inthe place of trying to see
things with fresh eyes and justletting that happen without
being weighed down by all thechannels that you might perceive
they have to go through.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I feel like we're
sitting in like your studio,
feels like everything you justsaid, like sitting inside of the
light bulb.
It's like so fun in here and Ijust see all of that in
everything you all.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
I wish you could see
what's happening it's nice to
have visitors in here, becauseI'm in here alone a lot, so it's
like nice to have friends, oh.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
But yeah, it's a very
fun place to be it really is,
and literally surrounded bylittle candles and little wishes
.
And not surprised that theseare the messages coming through.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yes, and then this is
the further secondary message
of that first section Thinkingin creative ways, like creative
for each other, adaptive,problem-solving creativity, and
the way that this is structuredis like a general card and what
I call a bridge.
It's like how we get tosomewhere else and what that
(17:57):
somewhere else is, and then moredetails on that.
Again, we have the king of ofpentacles, who is your daddy and
what does he do?
Very interesting oh hi secondtime.
Oh, because we got the two decks.
Yes, yeah, which is fun aboutusing like multiple tarot decks
is that the same card can comeup and you're kind of like, okay
, you're really making yourselfappear more wands.
(18:18):
The general as far as thinkingin creative ways for each other,
adaptive creativity and problemsolving.
We are starting with the threeof wands, which is like uh, hate
to say it, because I I I feelalso the urge to like, want
things to happen quickly, tofeel security, and the three of
wands is really like the longgame card for me and you can see
(18:39):
visually it's like literate, quite literally the long the
long road.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
This is the long haul
.
This is what I'm saying all thetime we are in the long haul.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
And you know, the
wands are like higher learning
and and wisdom as well.
So along that way we're likepicking up wands, we are
learning more things.
I think about it like a goodanalogy, for the three of wands
is academia.
You're in like your first year, but there's so much more to go
and you're taking on so much andyou're like, oh, my god, my
brain is exploding.
But then you, you have all thistime and energy to still kind
(19:12):
of put in the bridge card.
Another wands card is the six ofwands, which is like
traditional victory cards.
That's interesting as being abridge to getting to where we
would be beneficially going, which is the offerings card,
which is an oracle card hereabout actions without direct
(19:32):
reward, as many offerings can be.
And then we have our friend theking of pentacles here again.
So it's interesting, the six ofwands being this bridge card to
the offerings.
It's like, I think, thatcelebrating whatever small
victories we may have, um,especially in each other's like
lives and around, and takingnote of when things can be
(19:57):
positive or when things can feellike they're an accomplishment,
and the more that we canacknowledge what are victories
like in ourselves, in our ownlives in the world around us.
I think we'll be able to shiftin that headspace of just like.
I'm not necessarily looking forinstant gratification, I'm just
looking to do something thatfeels aligned with myself.
(20:20):
And then our King of Pentaclesshowing back up, like as a
reminder, sort of of thisinventive wisdom on the earth
realm.
To me, the King of Pentaclesshowing up in the last like
procession here is as this pathcontinues to move on, and if
this shift in thinking cancontinue to happen, then maybe
(20:40):
that empowerment of like whatyou actually have the power to
do might click into place.
I think, feeling empowered withwhat we actually have ability
to do in our immediate andoutward, like physical realities
.
So there's that, there's thatnb, and then our last section
here, which is what helpsconjure courage to challenge
(21:05):
systems and we have within andoutside of that.
So let's see what we have hereAnother little flame, lots of
little fiery flames.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
And we love wands.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
We are wands
everywhere, so that could be
interesting just to meditate onin general for the overview of
the reading, of how like thereading is a lot about
creativity and so much wandsshowed up here, so that could be
just like a good energy to workwith and wands again for here,
so that could be just like agood energy to, and wands again
(21:40):
for the cry babies listening.
Wands are the suit of creativity, of fire, of higher learning
and of physical like, force andactivity.
Yeah, yeah, I mean that tracks.
And we have spark in the centerof this reading.
I think of the spark, the snapand the light bulb and I just
clicked in kind of energyexuberance, of being gifted an
(22:04):
idea.
Let's kind of start with thewithin section and then we'll
move to outside of ourselves.
Within we have the king of wandsand also the seven of wands,
again more wands, and in thisdepiction of the king of wands
you can see, um, that this wandis like moving mountains and
(22:25):
like moving like.
It's sort of to me this card ofharnessing a lot of endurance,
power to change reality.
Um, again, the kings are sortof that like elevated, wizened
and hardened and maybe cracked.
I'm so old, they're so deeplyknown within the realms of
(22:50):
creativity and movement andhigher learning that they can
really navigate those spaceswith a lot of excellence and so
they don't really have feararound doing things because they
kind of just like see whatmaybe could be big mountains as
(23:13):
not so heavy or serious.
The king of wands, as anarchetype, maybe, doesn't
hesitate to take things onbecause they are familiar in
that world of things moving andchanging all the time.
The King of Wands, I feel like, does have that sense of being
(23:34):
able to channel fire, to channelfire appropriately, move
mountains without like burningout, breaking their back over it
you know um.
That's a lesson or, yeah, overdoing it, or um, which is
interesting, like quickly tolook over what helps conjure
(23:56):
courage on the outside.
We have the ten of wands, whichactually is not like opposite
of the king of wands, but inthat aspect of being able to be
balanced within, like yourphysical and creative efforts,
the ten of wands is like justthe card of like you just took
on too much.
It's like it's time to phone afriend hello, I need help like
(24:18):
you don't have the answers, youdon't have the energy, you don't
have the nothing.
You dropped it all.
It's like you were carrying itall and you were like I'm fine,
I'm just carrying it all.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Oh, look, and there's
even on the card.
It's all of the, all of theones are on the ground, and then
there are little.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
There's crying it's
just like I can't hold it
anymore, I can't push anymore, Idon't have any more energy.
Every card for me, there's nolike negative card or card where
it's just like, oh, this isjust the shit pile card.
There's always something thereto be useful or helpful.
(24:57):
So the Ten of Wands, eventhough it's like this card of
overwhelm which is like, oh myGod, it's it also for me, it's
like it's time to just accept.
I dropped all the plates on theground.
I'm going to call my friend andsee if they have plates that I
can use or whatever.
Like I took on too much there.
It's all too much and I justneed to ask, ask for help.
(25:19):
So what helps conjure courageto challenge systems on the
outside is like, yeah, helpingeach other out and also being
honest about where you're at andasking for for help, also
knowing those limits of how muchyou're taking on internally,
channeling that king of wandsthat has a lot of their own
internal infrastructure for howmuch they take on, and like how
(25:41):
they exert their effort.
So it's like learning, you know, just learning, just learning,
yeah, learning how to exertreally is how I feel about this
section of the reading so far,and then the spark in the middle
.
So, again, always returning tothe wish, the spark, the
offerings.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
My deepest, truest
wish.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
These little oracle
cards, I feel like, are like
don't forget to reunite withwhat is unburdened within
yourself, if that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
sense, yeah, to
create some sort of space to
just have a wish, an coach with13 years of experience and a
rather dreamy voice.
(26:46):
So I've been told in your ear, speaking to your exact needs,
anytime you want.
My answer is a yes.
That's why I created BespokeMeditation a potent 30-minute
coaching session, one-on-one,followed by a completely
custom-guided meditationdesigned to help you break
through limiting patterns,systemic cultural, familial
(27:07):
conditioning and all the stickybits gunking up your flow, while
connecting you to your agency, magic and momentum.
Here's how it works you sign upand fill out a short
questionnaire to get to theheart of what you need.
You book your one-on-onesession.
After our call.
I'll weave together everythingwe uncovered, along with some
intuitive guidance, to create ameditation just for you.
(27:27):
Listen daily or whenever youneed a boost of courage,
confidence, clarity, care orwhatever you asked for support
with.
It's yours forever.
Go to the link in the shownotes to get started.
It's yours forever.
Go to the link in the shownotes to get started.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Creativity isn't just
for artists, which I think is
like a huge misconception.
Creativity is problem solving.
Creativity is imaginingpathways and choices.
It can sometimes be a remedyfor apathy because it gives a
(28:05):
sense of there being possibility.
The spark, the wish and theoffering I do think are
important parts to root backinto amongst all the other stuff
that's still here but pathways.
And then we have a few morecards on the within and outside,
and the other card about how tofind courage to challenge
systems within is the seven ofwands, and for me the seven of
wands is sort of a universalpush to commit to something.
(28:28):
Um, and in this visual it's ahouse that's being built and
it's also like raining on thefoundation and it's like, uh
well, like, do I want to keepbuilding in this storm?
Like, how committed am I tothis house I'm building or do I
want to just like, move on anddo something else?
That push of like, are youwilling to keep going?
(28:51):
Are you willing to push past, move through?
And yeah, I don't think there'sa wrong answer there.
But as far as like how to findcourage within when you've
really committed to somethingand you put your all there and
you feel that there's nomistakes in doing that effort.
Yeah right, yeah, but then ifyou're not sure, it can get
(29:12):
really messy if it, if you'renot sure if that's what you
really are like wanting to, ifthat's not the situation you're
wanting to put yourself in yeah,oh, I'm curious about this.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
It makes me want you
to pull another card just to ask
for those who are listening, and in some version of like,
well, what is what am Icommitted to?
How do I know if I'm sure rightnow?
And do I need help, you know, trying to figure out some of
this, or am I overwhelmingmyself and that's making it you
know?
Or am I just overwhelmed, um,and that's making it hard for me
(29:48):
to see?
You know what, what I'mcommitted to?
And then I'm looking at thereference point oracle for that,
which is the spark, yes, andlike returning to that initial
resonance.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
One thing that I
would say with the seven of
wands that I tell a lot ofclients is that that space we're
kind of being pushed to likesettle in or commit to something
you can start on a really lowlevel.
Being in touch with the wandsis being in touch with your
creativity, is being in touchwith, like, what you're
passionate about, and sometimesthat seven of wands is maybe
(30:21):
when we've like traveled down aroad for a while and we don't
really know why we're doing that, or we maybe need to reconnect
with why we're doing that.
Um and so sometimes, like on aninternal level, I'll tell
people to start doing that everysingle day and every single way
of being clear yes and clear noabout things, even when you're
(30:46):
like ordering a drink at acoffee shop, not having
hesitation, but just like beingvery fierce in your knowing of
committing to somethingresonators activated.
The additional cards I have thatI just pulled were the Justice
card and this Oracle cardOpportunity.
(31:08):
And this Oracle card is like alittle bit of ominous tone
visually, so it's not likeOpportunity, it's kind of like
here's an opportunity and thiscard is a lot about reading the
fine print on things, along withthe Justice card which again
like echoes those really clearlike yeses and no's and in like
quite the literal analogy of thejustice.
(31:31):
It's like the justice has thejob of making a decision that
ultimately will disappointsomeone and doing their best to
make a decision based on, liketheir life experience, what
they're seeing, what they knowand what they think would be
best for the community.
As additional information tothe seven of wands of like
(31:51):
getting that push to eithercommit to something or walk away
, like either put in the effortor make a different decision.
There is a little informationhere about looking deeper into
what it is that you're maybesigning on to within yourself,
because this is like thepersonal within.
So, yeah, going a little bitdeeper into the fine print of
(32:13):
what it is.
Who do you co-sign?
Where are the areas you haven'tread that fine print?
Or maybe you ignore the fineprint, or does that make?
Speaker 1 (32:22):
sense.
Yeah, I mean, it's making mejust think about conversations
that I have with my partnerabout him making art and being
inside of the art world and sortof having to really look at his
own motivations and thoserelations, the quality of the
relationships that he's having, how those make him feel you know
what, what actually like, what, maybe what used to feel fine
(32:43):
and good and maybe doesn't feelfine and good now.
Do I want to be inside of this, this structure anymore?
Or I said yes at one point, butit's like worth a renegotiation
.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
No, yeah.
And so you know, as far as,like, conjuring courage within
it can start in those small waysof like know, if the world is
crumbling, then like, what's thepoint of keeping up with a
facade that doesn't feel good, good to you?
You know, um, or maybe eventhese really little small ways
of how you think about yourselfor the people in your life, the
(33:16):
more that you feel like you'vetidied that space up, I think
it's going to be easier to findcourage for the outside systems
which we have.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Yeah, Our only cups
card yeah, and it's all.
The cups are overturned.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Oh man yeah, oh man
yeah.
We need some cups cards hereNot preferably not this one, but
that's okay, this is how Darylworks we get what we get,
Everything has.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
This is how Daryl
works we get what we get.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Everything has value
and meaning and information for
us.
Yep, yep, exactly.
Yeah, I never feel like it'sgood to give someone a reading
where you're like it's allfucked because they're like I
already knew that, yeah, andyou're like I came to you to
tell me, like, help me makesense of all of this, give you a
hand to pull you closer to yeah, all the fuckery, which I think
is what we're doing here andI'm loving this.
(34:06):
This is a great fucking readingso on the outside, as far as
(34:28):
conjuring courage, we have thehanged man and the eight of cups
.
So it's interesting because thehangman is like one of my least
favorite cards to pull formyself.
I think every like reader kindof has those where they're like
oh, that one is like not reallysits super well with me.
It's because I'm a veryimpatient person and I'm like
very determined, and I don'tlike sitting in something that's
(34:49):
uncomfortable like in theupside down but the idea of the
visual being that they're seeingthe world upside down, so
they're seeing things totallydifferently in the space of just
like sitting in.
Okay, I'm like basically stuckhere, yeah, for now yeah, I mean
which which tracks?
Speaker 1 (35:05):
yeah resonates hard,
hard resonate here.
Right we're, we're stuck here, but that doesn't mean give up.
You know, don't surrender inadvance, don't obey in advance.
If we flip it, what else can wesee, even though, right, we are
tethered to the earthly plane?
However, I did just see thatthere is an asteroid or maybe it
(35:27):
was a meteor, similar topiccoming our way 2032, I think,
wow, something to look forwardto, exactly yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
So, you know,
whatever we're upside, but we'll
pull the upside downperspective until then right,
yeah, so that even though it'ssort of this uncomfortable place
, it is also a place of lookingat the world.
What do you see when you lookat the world upside down?
What changes shape when you'relooking at things from a
different perspective?
Speaker 1 (35:57):
if you can just sit
in that, I love that, I actually
love I the hangman card.
For a while was showing up forme in readings.
Just another shift inperspective.
Like no big deal.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
And there's a little
bit of like coming to terms of
right with the ten of wands.
That's like I can't hold all ofthis myself and then the
hangman it's.
It's kind of giving that energyof.
This is where I'm at.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Right, and what if
we're all here in some ways, or
we're here at different momentsand we've got the eight?
Speaker 4 (36:25):
of the eight of cups,
which is all our cups
overturned, sort of like the endof an emotional cycle of
returning the water from thecups, like to the ocean, back to
where they came from.
It's sort of like allowingthings to be empty and over,
like emotionally, and sort ofmoving on.
(36:47):
It's like the traditional likebreakup card, um.
So that gives you a little bitof an idea of the eight of cups
in the context of this couragereading, um, another card of,
ultimately, acceptance of whereyou're at.
Again, I've seen this throughcompletely emotionally and I'm
(37:09):
just letting that chapter closeand I'm like walking into having
a fresh slate.
Yeah, and the cups are the suitof connection and relation
emotions.
So it's like kind of the onlyreal, like emotional note that
(37:30):
we have here A card of grievingbut also like acceptance of all
these cups are spilt over.
All the cups that I worked hardfor or that I like felt attached
to are now overturned and it iswhat it is.
And I'm on to the next phase.
I'm moving on to the next thingso relevant as well as finding
like courage within the outsideworld and realms of having
(37:54):
whatever grief is happening andlooking at all your spilt cups
and things that didn't work outhow you wanted them to or
perceived that they would, butcontinuing to move on.
That's the Eight of Cups.
The Eight of Cups isn't likethey're all spilt and now we die
.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
It's like it all
spilt and now I keep walking
there's something aboutaccepting, like
brokenheartedness of it,honoring the grief.
You know, like this is part of,of the experience right now and
(38:34):
and the heartbreak this is whatwe're traveling with you know
what?
Speaker 3 (38:40):
I would love a recap
of the reading.
Mary, I feel like we've reallygone on a journey.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
I like to go super
far and wide with my readings
and then I'm like okay, sobasically what all of that can
be consolidated into is likewhat I call a key takeaways from
the reading or things that I'dlike the clients to like
remember from the reading.
If I could choose what I wouldwant them to take away.
Oh yeah, choose for us, tell usyes, tell us what to do.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Oh my gosh, the
pressure and here is where Mary
and Dana each made a noiseconveying their excitement, and
together these noises broke thesound field or something,
causing the mic to record therest of the reading at an oddly
low volume.
So Dana and I will do the recap.
Janet, you chime in too.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Oh yes, I sure will.
Mary Dana and all of those onesreally hit a very special
frequency.
Let's recap.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
So first key point is
to be mindful of where you're
putting your energy.
Consider your pacing.
Are you going with your ownpacing, what feels resonant to
you, or are you trying to matcha bunch of other people's pacing
?
Are you relating to urgency ina way that is sort of pulling
(39:58):
you out of of your own knowing, out of your own truth and
intelligence and connection withyourself?
And speaking of intelligenceand connection and truth of
yourself, the next piece ofreuniting with your wish, with
(40:18):
your desire to keep coming backto that over and over and over
again.
Yes, it may change over time, but perhaps there's like a core
essence that you can really keeptapping into and drawing
nourishment from and lettingthat guide you.
Also, the road ahead is goingto be long and filled with lots
(40:38):
of lessons.
This is the long haul and, alongthe way, celebrations,
celebrating.
You heard me say this in seasonone episode Celebrate
everything if you want to enjoyanything.
So you got to celebrate thevictories, even the smallest,
tiniest, little ones.
(40:59):
Also tuning into what you feelcapable of, what you want to see
yourself really putting out inthe world.
That can bring you closer tofeeling satisfied, fulfilled,
empowered, right Like there'sbalance here that we're talking
(41:20):
about.
As you're moving through thematerial realm on this long road
full of lessons, that payingattention to how you're using
your energy and you know whereyou're putting your energy
really matters.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Even though I am a
robot and occasional
non-physical being, how I directand use my energy is key to my
existence, and humans are reallynot at all so different,
especially in an attentioneconomy with constant taxing of
your sensitive, meat-bad nervoussystems.
As the Grail Knight warnsIndiana Jones in Indiana Jones
(41:59):
and the Last Crusade, you mustchoose, but choose wisely.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Only the penitent man
shall pass.
If you know, you know.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
And finding courage
can really start in small ways
of aligning yourself with whatyou feel to be the most true and
right for you, based on whatyou know in the moment, based in
the right now.
That's the best you can do andthat when you're looking to
really confront the outsidesystems, there may be a lot here
about acknowledging that youmay get into places where you
(42:33):
need help, where you feeloverwhelmed, where you feel
stuck, where you feel in griefand to reach out to others, and
to also know that it's a littleby little, like one step at a
time, and also knowing that, like when you're asking for help
and you're connecting withothers, that that will also help
(42:53):
to keep that spark in you alive.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Oh yes, asking for
help can be challenging, but the
rewards can be so rich.
Asking and receiving helprequires humility and often
courage.
Courage with humility seemslike something humans could use
a decent dose of these days.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
That's the truth,
Janet.
Speaker 1 (43:21):
I'm so grateful to
have visited Mary and been in a
side of that gorgeous littlecreative cocoon of hers.
I'm basking in the glow oftender creativity and working
with kids, being literally thatcool art teacher who might have
(43:46):
saved your life out there, because that's the vibe she's
giving big time.
So many of us had that one.
I just feel so delighted forthe kids that get married and
for all of us cry babies who gota little bit of mary today.
For those of you who felt opento receive this oracle, to
receive this guidance, I soabsolutely hope that it served
(44:08):
you in some way, that you let itsimmer and unfold for you.
You get curious about it.
You feel around inside ofyourself, you feel around into
your people and communities.
That sounds like maybe a littlemore dirty and fun than I meant
it.
I'll put a picture of thespread in the show notes below
(44:30):
and a link to where you can findMary and find her beautiful
decks.
I'm wishing you all courage tountangle your.
Untangle the systems inside ofyou, to dismantle the systems
inside of you, to dismantle thesystems outside of you, to show
up with a love and care andcuriosity and dignity and
(44:51):
compassion on this long, windywild road we're on.
I love you so much, crying inmy jacuzzi.
Love you so much.
