Welcome to a world in which Colorado has a 4-1 record, and an undefeated 2-0 start to their return to the Big 12!
I am pleased to be joined for this review/preview episode by Brad Geiger and Neil Langland, and we will be giving you our “T.I.P.S.”, our preview for CU’s “Gold Rush” showdown against Kansas State.
Before we do our preview, though, we will be taking a few minutes - and perhaps a few extra minutes - to break down one of CU’s best games in years, a 48-21 take down of the Central Florida Knights. We will be discussing “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” about the Buffs’ first-ever game against UCF.
After a few minutes reminiscing about one of the most complete games in recent Colorado history, we will move on to the Wildcats of Kansas State.
For those new to the podcast, or in need of a refresher, our “T.I.P.S.” previews are broken down into categories:
T- Talent - What CU’s opponents are bringing to the game; which matchups may prove crucial;
I - Intangibles - What off the field issues may impact the outcome;
P - Preparation/Schedule - How the calendar and the weather may play a role; and
S - Statistics - Which numbers should Buff fans be on the lookout for in determining the outcome.
After going through our preview, we will each give you our predictions for the game (Spoiler alert: There is a split decision this week!).
So ... Both teams are coming off of big victories, and both teams are coming off of byes ... Which team spent their off-week preparing? ... And which team spent their off-week reading their press clippings? ... Will the Buffs be able to ruin the Homecoming for Dylan Edwards, or will the star CU recruit have the last laugh against his former team? ... Does the Central Florida game represent the ceiling for how well the Buffs can play? ... Or was the stellar effort the new floor? ...
Let’s find out ...
