Cedric grew up in Virginia and didn't play football until he was in 8th grade. He played in the backyard but never had an opportunity to play as a youth and fell in love with the game when he finally was able to put pads on.
Cedric played at one of the best high schools in Virginia, but the staff was not as proactive about sending their kids to play college football.
Not being offered out of high school despite incredible statistics, he went to Lackawanna Junior College, one of the top JC programs in the country.
Cedric continued to dominate and in 2001, with Nick Graby, @ezracarey all came to @uconnfootball from Lackawanna College, making an impact. Coach @re122198 always believed in Junior College players who. Coach Edsall and Coach @coachtoddorlando changed Cedric's life.
He worked Construction before taking a leap with his Entrepreneural spirit and started his own company in New Haven, Above Average Transportation.
They provide underprivileged kids with rides they normally would be without. They have contracts with schools and different groups supporting kids to participate in sports or any club, which has made a tremendous difference in the community. Cedric runs a Non-Profit Organization called the Future Leaders Academy. They work with adolescents on building life skills and developing leadership qualities. Cedric has a family of his own and is truly a remarkable person who always gives back. It was a heartwarming episode, and he is doing God's work.
