The Council brings a conversation topic to the table that can sometimes uncover vulnerabilities. Joyner and Amy both share some unpleasant experiences with families, and discuss what they learned from those situations. Brittany discusses how as an outpatient SLP, she has an important role to support school-based SLPs by explaining roles to parents. The Council touches on the importance of caregiver coaching (more to come in future episodes!) as well as some other unique aspects of the SLP field.
