Dreams provide a window into our unconscious mind, revealing our deepest fears, desires, and perceptions of the world around us. We analyze a dream about an MMORPG game world threatened by an invulnerable "Stone King" character and explore what it reveals about confronting injustice.

• Analyzing the symbolism of playing in dreams which represents good fortune, success and love
• The Stone King character represents unyielding beliefs and ambitious power that seems untouchable
• War and weapons in dreams typically indicate internal conflict or the need to defend oneself
• The dreamer's unconscious likely processing real-world power imbalances through gaming metaphors
• Cosplay represents putting on a facade or becoming someone else to address problems
• The letter to developers symbolizes taking action against injustice through proper channels
• World symbolism connects to tarot meaning of creation, victory and perfect balance
• Dreams about saving the world indicate confidence in one's abilities and positive life perspective
• Empowerment message to act against unfairness rather than waiting for others to fix problems

If you have dreams you'd like analyzed, reach out and share them with us. Whatever your cuppa was, may it overflow.

Sheree (00:06):
hello, here we go again sweet.
All right, guys, this is anolder episode, but I'm
re-releasing it for yourlistening pleasure.
Please enjoy.
This is my older episode calledMMORPG.

(00:28):
It was recorded back in 2022from a Redditor and it has some
great symbology, or symbolism.
Enjoy.

(00:50):
Today I do not have a co-host,it is just me, cherie, and I
have already had my cup to drink, so I am drinking some orange
Mio, the tangerine Mio.
It is delish and it also keepsyou hydrated.
Hey, shout out for water.
It's an underrated thing.

(01:11):
Mio is a flavor enhancer, so gofor that.
Normally I like to have some tea, but it is kind of late, so I'm
just going to skip that tonight.
I'm just going to skip thattonight and, without further ado
, I'm going to jump right intothe analysis of this dream that

(01:35):
I did.
So I found this dream from aRedditor on Reddit forum page
Dreams.
The original post on Reddit wasdone by user Lynn the Clown.
So I did, and I would just liketo give a little shout out to
him, so thank you.
If he's listening to thispodcast, that's great.

(01:55):
If he comes on the stream, that's even better.
But what he posted on theReddit forums was pretty short,
so I just kind of did my bestwith doing the creative writing
piece and after I do thecreative writing piece for you
the creative writing reading, should I say I will go ahead and
then we can talk about thedifferent symbols that I found

(02:19):
and some ideas that I had aboutwhat the dream possibly meant.
So, without further ado, here'sthe reading MMORPG.
They blink and feel steady ontheir feet, heavy and out of
breath.
They look around to see a messof bodies lying upon a

(02:40):
battlefield.
They look at their body andgear and realize they are a
character playing with manyothers.
And these others are playerswho are fighting, most carrying
brightly colored banners, butall are wielding various kinds
of awesome metal weapons.
The players each relish in thekilling of their foes and they

(03:02):
drink in the glory of theirvictory.
They also enjoy their spoils ofwar on the battlefield as well
as by requesting upgrades inchats with developers back at HQ
.
What a great MMORPG world it is.
Many factions participate inthis bloodbath.
Players join factions for avariety of reasons, one would

(03:25):
typically expect.
They're looking for certainkinds of weapons or prestige,
they want to join a certainguild, they want to accomplish
some specific quests, etc.
Etc.
However, most all factions havesome kind of stance in regards
to the Stone King.
The Stone King is a playerwhose character is untouchable.

(03:47):
The Stone King has an immunityto all meta weapons and is
therefore undefeatable duringplayer battles.
There's even a faction noworganized under the banner of
the Stone King and they'rebeginning to overrun the world.
Many factions are bondingtogether to try and prevent the
seemingly inevitable fate ofthem all a lifetime in servitude

(04:11):
to the Stone King.
One player takes the game soseriously they decide to act in
the real world.
They dress in cosplay as theircharacter player and visit the
developer's headquarters.
They're able to meet with thegame's lead developer and they
deliver a personal letter tothem.
It reads out how terriblyoverpowered the Stone King

(04:35):
player was, and this was inhopes to get his abilities
changed and bring balance backto the game world End reading.
Balance back to the game worldEnd reading.
Okay, so I extracted that storyor I extracted bits of the text
in the Reddit post that they didand created the story based off

(04:59):
of the elements that I found.
We can do some analysis here.
So one of the biggest thingsthat I saw, I guess I could say
to start off with was playing.
So playing symbolizes generalgood fortune, success and love.
So usually if you're dreamingabout playing, it suggests those

(05:24):
things.
Usually if you're dreamingabout playing, it suggests those
things.
I think that maybe this, probably this specific situation
, has more to do with a desireto be happy and have good
fortune and success.
But we'll get into that.
So the next two elements I saw,or that I identified or I
shouldn't say elements, I shouldsay symbols are the stone king.

(05:47):
So stone king.
I kind of broke it apart intotwo separate ideas.
So stones represent orsymbolize strength, unity and
unyielding beliefs.
Consider the common phraseetched in stone, which suggests
permanence and unchangingattitudes.

(06:08):
Some stones also carry sacredand magical meanings.
Alternatively, stones relate toissues of moral judgment and
guilt.
To see stones in your dreamsforetells numberless
perplexities and failures.
To walk among rocks or stonespredict that an uneven and rough
pathway will be yours for atleast a while.
If you throw a stone, you'llhave cause to admonish a person.

(06:29):
If you deign to throw a pebbleor a stone at a belligerent
person, an evil you fear willnot come to pass because of your
untiring attention to rightprinciples.
So I think that applying stoneto king, maybe some of these
inner symbols of what a stonecan mean, like these unchanging

(06:51):
attitudes, and that the stonehappens to be sacred or has some
kind of magical properties, relates to how this character is
.
So I think that applying stoneto king, maybe some of these
inner symbols of what a stonecan mean, like these unchanging
attitudes and that the stonehappens to be sacred or has some
kind of magical properties, relates to how this character is
exempt from battle, at leastinvulnerable to, uh, battle, and

(07:12):
also how that can be kind ofunfair, because if there, if
there's stones in your dream, says if you're walking among
stones or an uneven pathway, you'll have a rough go if you

(07:35):
will.
So it's difficult to deal withstones.
The second symbol that kind ofconnects to it is the king.
So a king is symbolic of powerand control.
If you dream of a king, youcould be struggling with might
and ambition is your master.
So if you dream of a king, theking could represent strength

(07:59):
and that ambition, drive,driving them.
So this particular character isdriven, is very ambitious, is
driven, is very ambitious, andthey're struggling.
The dreamer is struggling, possibly, with their strength in
the real world.
So putting those two thingstogether, the stone king could

(08:22):
probably represent someone thathas very unyielding beliefs.
That's very ambitious.
Someone that has veryunyielding beliefs, that's very
ambitious.
The next symbol I kind of pickedout was war.
So, according to dream analysis, war can represent or signifies

(08:45):
disorder and chaos in thewaking life.
They're experiencing someinternal conflict or emotional
struggle which is tearing theminside.
Alternatively, the dreamindicates that they're either
being overly aggressive orthey're not being aggressive
enough.
Perhaps you need to be preparedto put up a fight in some area
of your life.
On a more direct level, thedream may be a reflection of

(09:06):
current wars around the worldand their personal feelings
about it.
So it is kind of a crazy timeright now.
So that could have something todo with what the dreamer is
picking up on.
However, I do think that theyprobably have some internal
conflict or some emotionalstruggle which they're trying to
work through, which is why weopen upon a war scene and not

(09:28):
being able to deal with what'sgoing on, with the stone king
specifically.
So the next symbol I kind ofpicked up was weapons.
So to see or hold a weapon inyour dream indicates a need to
defend and protect yourselfemotionally and or physically.
You're experiencing someconflict in your waking life.
Alternatively, the dream mayindicate hidden desire to hurt

(09:55):
someone or something.
And just a reminder dreamsprovide a safe haven for
expressing those desires.
So we're on the battlefront.
Of course we're going to seeweapons.
So, again, it's just hearkeningback to the symbol of war.
This person probably has somekind of need to defend
themselves, either emotionallyor physically, and that's why
we're seeing war and weapons.

(10:17):
And, by the way, the Dreamerdid mention meta weapons.
Meta just means that theweapons themselves are.
They are from a different planeof existence, basically.
So they're not necessarily inthe same universe.

(10:40):
They're like transcendedweapons.
Okay, so the next kind of thingthat I wanted to to pick up on
was we have the dream.
The dreamer is dreaming ofplaying this massively
multiplayer online role-playinggame.

(11:02):
That's the dreamer playing thegame.
That was their experience.
However, the dream further goeson to in their waking life.
Again, they're dreaming, but inthe waking life of the dream,
they know someone, or perhapsthey are someone that takes

(11:23):
action to change what is goingon in the realm.
So the realm that all of theplayers are experiencing, the
Stone King, this particularplayer that's overpowered, this
person decides they're going todress up as their character.

(11:44):
So in cosplay, to go to theheadquarters for the developers
and explain the situation to tryto get things fixed.
So there's a couple elementsthat I picked out here, a couple
symbols I should say.
However, there wasn't anythingfor cosplay I could say
specifically that I could find, but I did find something for

(12:07):
costumes.
So to see others wearing one, acostume, in a dream foretells
an unusual turn of events.
Make sure to see things as theyreally are and not as you want
them to be.
To dream that you're wearing acostume indicates that you're
putting on a facade towardsothers, you don't want to reveal

(12:27):
your true self and are notbeing completely honest with
people around you.
So I think it really kind ofdepends on whether the writer,
the original dreamer, had thisdream and they were the
cosplayer, or if in the dream, they're imagining that someone

(12:49):
else did this cosplaying.
It's a pretty importantdifference, because I think that
the cosplayer is the one thatis empowered to do something
about what is happening theinjustice in the dreamer's life,
the injustice in the dreamer'slife.

(13:11):
Now, if it happens to be thatit's a completely different
person, I would just warn thedreamer to be cautious of
waiting on others to come andrescue.
You expect that in any way, shape or form, somewhere in your
life that you're being causedsignificant harm or difficulties

(13:36):
, that someone's just going tocome along and rescue you from
that and everything's going tobe okay.
You also have to realize thatyou can and should be your own
hero.
You must do what is good foryou in your life, not just for
yourself, but for all of yourfamily and friends that you have

(13:57):
and the people that also areattached to your life, and we
all want this for one another.
We want to believe that otherpeople are going to be able to
take that for themselves.
So, regardless of who actuallywas the cosplayer, in the sense,
I just want to put that outthere for them and for everybody

(14:19):
you know, just to encourage youto.
You know, take action.
If you feel like, either inyour waking life or in your
unconscious, that you're gettinga message that you know you
should act to to preventinequality or things that are
hurtful or harmful, you stand upfor yourself or those around

(14:43):
you.
Now to move on.
So the next thing I kind ofpicked up on as a symbol was the
letter.
Okay, so they deliver thisletter to the main headquarters
developer and behind that isthey indicate opportunities and
challenges.
So this could mean, like that, the opportunity.

(15:07):
The challenges are that the,the cosplayer is showing there
is an insurmountable challengein this stone king and his
faction taking control of theentire realm and causing
everything to go out of balance, but they're also creating
possible opportunities toimprove the lives of the players

(15:30):
within their realm.
So there's so many layers tothis dream.
I mean we've got your consciousself, your unconscious self,
you've got the dream itself, then you've got the person who's
playing the game and thenyou've got the person that is
playing the game is into thereal world and then there's this
other player character.
So I'm sorry that we're onseems like we're continually

(15:53):
bouncing between differentelements of this dream, but if
you can stick with me, it itwill.
It'll make sense in the endwhat I think is going on here.
So the cosplayer delivers thisletter trying to improve things
for the realm, essentially byremoving the stone king's

(16:16):
invulnerability to meta weapons.
The final symbol that I pickedup on that was never actually
mentioned is world.
Okay, and I really enjoylooking at tarot decks and the
cards and the symbolism of thecards.
So the world is actually theworld of a massive multiplayer

(16:43):
online game.
In order for it to besuccessful, you have to create
an entire world, right?
So that's where I'm findingthat symbol.
The world is actually a card inin the tarot deck.
So the world card is part ofthe major arcana in the tarot

(17:05):
deck and it's symbolic ofcreation and victory.
It is represented by the number21 and its picture denotes the
key that is given to one uponturning 21 and earning their
place in the world.
The four corners of the worldbelong to the member, as do each
of the two wands in their hands, representing a perfect balance

(17:26):
of opposites like consciousnessand unconsciousness, masculine
and feminine, and matter andspirit.
To dream that the world iscoming to an end suggests that
you're under a tremendous levelof stress.
You may be feeling vulnerableor helpless in some situation.
To dream that you're saving theworld signifies confidence in

(17:50):
your abilities and belief inyourself.
You have a positive perspectiveof life and in where you are
headed.
And in where you are headed.
Don't let someone or somethingprevent you from progressing
toward this or question yourabilities.
Okay, so that's kind of what Ipicked up on for world, which

(18:20):
feeds into what I believe, isthe overall meaning of this
dream and, as I stated in thefirst episode, this is just my
analysis.
To get a true interpretation, you would really need to talk to
the person that had the dreamand go over the elements and the
possible symbolism that'sinvolved in the metaphors that
are very specific to eachdreamer and their mind.

(18:42):
There could be a very differentmeaning, but the ones that I
pick up on on the surface leadme to this idea of what the
dreamer is experiencing.
So it wasn't my story, but I dofeel like I figured it out and
I know what the applicability is.

(19:02):
The dreamer has a healthy senseof their worldview regarding
balance, justice and fairness.
The stone king representssomeone who has transcended that
balance, whether they'rejustified in earning that status
or not.
The player threatens thebalance of the world and some
kind of checks and balances mustexist to correct that seemingly

(19:23):
unpalatable set of wrongscaused.
Perhaps the dreamer realizesinjustice in the world around
them.
Likely those injustices arerelated to those who are wealthy
or privileged, or couldpossibly be suppressing this
person in some way or preventingthem from advancing, or could

(19:45):
even be causing them eithersignificant emotional or
physical trauma, depending onhow they see others and perhaps
how they see themselves it feels.
Just it will explain whetherthey feel justified in acting to
correct these unfair advantagesby anyone.
So it depends kind of, ifthey're watching someone else

(20:11):
act to improve the situation, how they feel about the person
acting out to improve thatsituation.
About the person acting out toimprove that situation, if they
support them, if they feel likeit's a lost cause.
Those feelings and who isplaying those roles really makes

(20:31):
a big difference in the psycheof this person and how they feel
like responsibilities lie inthe roles and responsibilities
of your own life, your wakinglife and correcting wrongs.
So I just come back to sayinglet me empower everyone to again

(20:52):
, you know, act out.
I saw something on Facebookrecently, on one of the pages I
follow, that basically it wasthis woman who was in a line to
get shot in a pit and she saidto the captor what happens to me

(21:15):
if I step out of line?
And they told her that shedidn't want to know what would
happen.
She stepped out of line anywayand that woman wound up being
the great grandmother of someother folks that are very
successful and around todaybecause she had the courage to
step out of line.

(21:36):
So, if you feel like you'retrapped in some way, think about
ways that you can influenceyour situation to move forward.
I really love to hear some ofyour thoughts and maybe
struggles that you have in yourown life, especially people who
are feeling trapped.
I personally am feeling verytrapped in my own life.
Like I mentioned in theprevious podcast with my brother

(22:00):
, chris, I am going through alot of transitions.
If you have any dreams that youwould like for me to look into,
I also welcome thatconversation, but for now,
that's all I've got for you guys.
I really enjoyed analyzing thisfor the poster on Reddit and

(22:22):
that's all I've got for you.
So whatever your cuppa was, mayit overflow, thank you.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
