Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome to CV Hustle, the podcast created to educate,
inform and inspireentrepreneurship here in our
Coachella Valley.
Hey everybody, I'm Robert Mrazand I'm Fina Mraz.
And this is CV Hustle, thepodcast designed to inform,

(00:25):
inspire and educate localentrepreneurship here in the
Coachella Valley.
And I'm Fina Mraz.
What have you been up to?
Oh gosh, we've been up to allkinds of shenanigans, don't you
think?
It's been a while?

(00:45):
We've had a lot of moving partsin our lives and we'll
definitely get into those movingparts, but today I wanted to
kind of just sit back andreflect on season one.
I think we had a really goodresponse to season one.
It was something I was reallyproud of.
Our production team did a greatjob in making us look better
than we actually are.
I mean, let's look professionalright, that's for sure.

(01:06):
And I'm telling you, like, justsitting down with entrepreneurs
in this valley is a veryeducational experience.
I mean, the things I learnedabout people's businesses.
I've known some of these peoplefor years and there were some
things that I had no idea thatthey had gone through.
So you know, just kind ofreflecting on that, what kind of
things did you learn that youweren't really quite aware of

(01:27):
throughout that whole recordingprocess?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Well, what I think I learned was everybody kind of
had the same story where youwere almost destined to go down
that road of entrepreneurship.
There was something that ledyou down that road, you know no
matter what, and you just gotthere somehow.
And it was almost road, youknow no matter what, and you
just got there somehow and itwas almost, like you know, with
this door closed and that doorclosed.
So so there you were, you know, you were you kind of found

(01:52):
yourself like, all right, Iguess I'm opening my business,
right, right.
And then I think I was prettyimpressed with Chris, who was a
photographer.
I had no idea that he didCoachella and some of the guys
that were there.
We were like, oh, you know, weknow this guy and stuff.
Yeah, no idea, and I mean hewas just my guy that takes
pictures of my you knowproperties, that I do and things

(02:12):
like that, and didn't realizehe took pictures of like really
famous people and things likethat.
So I thought that was cool.
Um, greg wrangell, I've knownhim forever.
I completely forgot, Like hekind of just skipped school and
started his business.
So you know, not everybody goesto college and you know, and
neither did I so that I felt, Ifelt kind of good there.

(02:33):
You know, I felt like aconnection to him not saying
that I went necessarily down thesame road he did, but I didn't
come out of school with, youknow, thousands, hundreds of
thousands of dollars in debteither.
So there was that.
I don't know what are some ofthe ones that stuck out to you.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
You know one thing, I one thing I learned that kind
of shocked me, and even like itwasn't just one person, it was a
couple of people we interviewed.
Some people are not trying togrow their business.
Some people are very contentwith where they are and how
their business is working rightnow and thriving right now.
And to me, being in my business, which is growth, growth,
growth you have to grow, otherwise you're dying that was

(03:11):
kind of like that was kind ofeye-opening to me, like hey,
there's another way to besuccessful at this game.
You don't necessarily have tobe shooting for the stars all
the time, you can just maintaingrow slowly and slowly.
I think me and you are.
It's kind of a foreign conceptbecause we're always trying to
grow and explode our businessesonto the next level.
But that was a really eyeopeningexperience for me, hearing
people that are just like youknow what, like my brother.

(03:33):
He was like I don't think Iwant too many more patients.
He's like I'm good with what Igot.
My book of business is reallygood right now.
So to me that was eyeopening.
I'm like, oh, okay, that's adifferent way to approach it.
A couple people yeah, he'shappy with what he has and
there's.
You know, there might besomething to that.
You know like, instead of justwriting what, are we going to

(03:53):
learn?
I'm right.
I mean, I'm just thinking aboutour own experiences, like the
growth is good, but it's alsopainful at times.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
So, yeah, that was something that really is
eye-opening, yeah, but I guessit all depends on how you look
at it.
Right, like growth is for me isyou have to evolve.
People come in my place, youknow, do you take Cash App?
Do you take, you know, zelle, and I'm like I'm a business
account?
No, I don't, but that's justthe way things are going.
Or do you have to pay?
You know Apple Pay, or what?
Yeah, so I, I don't know.

(04:28):
I think.
I think I learned a ton abouteverybody.
I learned about Chakra, thelady that came.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I didn't even know what.
I had no idea what that waseither.
Education right there.
Absolutely to do in season twois we're going to try and get
different industries in here.
So everybody, everybody thatyou know wants to learn about a
certain industry or thinkingabout opening up a different
industry.
You know we want to talk tosome of the best in the game
because in this Valley there's alot of talent in this Valley
