Windie is one of the most prominent activists in the fight against sex trafficking in the country and sex child trafficking survivor. Her story begins with a troubled childhood in California. By her own account, she was sexually abused as a child and at age 13, she ran away, getting involved with people who trafficked her. What followed was a life of sexual exploitation that she narrates to us to help us understand that this can happen to anyone no matter your social or financial status or where you come from.

Ms Lazenko has worked with federal prosecutors, the FBI and police, testified before state lawmakers and addressed church and school groups. She also has formed an advocacy-resource group, 4her North Dakota, reaching out to victimized women.

4her North Dakota is a ministry based in western North Dakota. Founder, Windie Lazenko is part of the National Survivor Network working to educate, advocate and eradicate modern slavery in the form of sex trafficking here in America.
