It's That Simple is a weekly podcast talking about Christian living, how we make it too hard, and being a Christian and life in general are really very simple. The three key focuses of the podcast will be Faith, Love, and Family! God Bless!
Each day we make many decisions. We have many encounters. Each of those encounters affects not only ourselves but the people in our paths and infinite people after that. As Christians, we need to be cognisant of that and be aware that all our decisions, words, reactions, actions have eternal consequences for us and others.

Our words have power! They can make the world better or cause it to be poisoned. We need to always be aware of what we are saying and if that is reflecting Jesus. There are people around us that see Jesus in us and will base their understanding of Jesus on our words. So, in that light, we need to make sure that our words speak love!

In the church children spend hours learning memory verses, but when we become adults that isn’t a focus. There are many excuses as to why, including, “adults can’t memorize like children”. We need to not just learn scripture but understand and use it to guard our hearts. It is harder than when we are younger, but as adults we NEED scripture to help us through everything we do in life! We need to put those “WORDS ON THE HEART”!

Life IS hard. There are many challenges. We have the choice to do the easy things life, but soon discover they are not as rewarding. We need to do hard things. We need them because they sharpen us and strengthen us on our walk with Christ. The real question we have to ask ourselves is, are we willing to do the hard things or are we just going to coast along?

The world has made satan a cartoon character, a silly meme, and a lovable figure, which is exactly what he wants. The world is forgetting how truly powerful he is, but we need to be aware. We need to be versed in scripture. We need to be ready to avoid and defend against the attacks he sends our ways. Why do we have to do all this? Simple. satan IS real!

We live in a world with many holidays. Most are not centered around Jesus. Some say they are, but are not. In a world with all those holidays, we have many choices: celebrate without any change, not celebrate, not celebrate and make sure nobody else does, judge others, or love. Some of those are easier than others, which do you choose?

We all have idols in our lives. They consume us. They take away from our time with God. The greatest thing we can do in life is to learn to control those idols, either through totally getting rid of them or adapting them to be used for Kingdom work. We can’t do this alone. We need GOD with us to conquer those challenges.
Scripture - 1 Corinthians 10: 14-33
Life is short. Each day we have a choice on how we live that life. It can get very busy. That busy can involve family, work, hobbies, etc. What we need to evaluate is, “Is the busy good? It is for the Lord?” Those are tough questions to answer, but can be rewarding and help our busy feel so much more fulfilling.

We have been given a gift from God. The gift of salvation and we are to share it. We are also called to be prepared to share it with people who will become angry with us and who will argue with us. That means we should “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 15b). That is a calling that can lead to much contro...
In our lives we will encounter many people who will feed into us and set examples of how to live and love like Jesus. We need to lean in to those people and learn as much as we can. In this very personal episode, Adam shares one of those people, Reverend Gene Knicely, and how he affected his life and his family's life through his servant and love nature in reflecting Jesus.

It is a place where people feel welcome regardless of their past, or even where they are right now? Join Adam as he discusses showing love to everyone and making them feel welcome regardless of where they come from.

I love the church! I love going to church! I love my church friends and family. They have made a great difference in my life….but, I struggle in the church. At times I don’t feel like I “fit in” to the standard church mold. I don’t speak “King James”. I don’t talk with a calm church-folk voice. I don’t speak “churchese”. Luckily, that isn’t what Jesus is looking for. He wants people who live their life for and like Him. H...
Jesus asked all believers to do one thing: “go and make disciples”. Are we? Or are we just being stagnant and sitting in our churches making sure we are being “good Christians”? This command, although simple in nature, is quite profound and can lead to many people discovering the awesomeness that is Jesus! So, get out into the world and share the GOOD NEWS!!

Smart Phones. They could be the greatest invention of the 21st century, but they are also the worst. Yes. I said it. They are the fight that many parents, spouses, friends, and family members have many times a year. If families and friends aren’t fighting about them, it could be that they aren’t talking because they are glued to them. This is not an old man's diatribe about how bad smart phones are because they can be used...
Have you ever had that day that just wasn’t going right and then all of a sudden God showed up? Maybe it was because you stopped to pray or get into the Word. Maybe it was that you finally noticed Him there. No matter the reason, it is amazing how He shows up in moments that we don’t expect to remind us how AWESOME He is!

e are so blessed to have such an amazing God who loves us and desires to have a relationship with us! All he desires is our hearts and faith. The best way we can show that is to live a life that honors Him and worship Him with our entire self. Doing so will show Him how appreciative we are of His sacrificial love and how much we love Him back as our Creator, Sustainer, and Father. So, let’s PRAISE & WORSHIP God with eve...
I often take for granted my freedom, as I am sure most of us do. I am able to walk out my door, say what I want to say, believe what I want to believe, and live the life I desire to live. Many will say it is solely because I live in America. While I do believe living in America is a large part of that, I will also say that I have found many more freedoms when I have given up living in the world, giving into my own personal desir...

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
