When Angela and I sat down to record this heartfelt conversation, we never imagined just how much our journey through scripture and daily life experiences would resonate with others. Our inaugural episode of Daily Bread takes you on an intimate exploration of faith, struggle, and the sustaining power of God's Word. We share our personal anecdotes, from my mother's illness and passing to the divine messages that have guided us, all while tying these experiences to the biblical narratives that inspire and instruct us.

Our discussion doesn't shy away from the realities of life's appetites and the discipline required to align them with spiritual goals. Angela and I recount moments of temptation and choice—how a simple craving for McDonald's became a profound lesson in vigilance and decision-making. We weave through the stories of Jesus’s temptations and David’s trials to illustrate the importance of feeding our souls with daily scripture, and how this sustains us through every twist and turn.

Concluding our episode, we leave listeners with an invitation to consider the manna of their own lives—the daily sustenance provided by God's hand. Our conversation is a testament to the transformative power of embracing limitations and challenges as mechanisms for growth, teaching us stewardship and maturity on this unpredictable path of life. Join us and be empowered to find clarity and peace in the midst of uncertainty, one day at a time.

Speaker 1 (00:02):

This is amazing.

information, inspiration,revelation that would empower

every enemy and do your greatand be great.

your life and to be a blessingto you.
So, again, my co-host, myamazing wife, who I could have

every step of the way.
So, none other than AngelaStokely.
Angela, you want to greet ouraudience.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Hello and thank you for such.
First of all, thank you forsuch a beautiful, heartfelt
introduction.
I kind of had to hold a coupleof tears back there.
That almost made me teary, butthank you for such powerful
words, such kind words, and Ifelt all of the sincerity to

(01:49):
that.
I am elated to be here.
I am excited about what Godwill use us to share and, as you
know, my motto is, if it's onlyone that God gives us a word
for that helps to change theirlife, helps to change the
trajectory of their thoughtprocess, even if it's just about

(02:13):
their relationship with God,I'm here for it.
So, hi everybody, I am glad tobe sharing this space with my
intelligent and amazing husband,dr Jarrell Stokely Jr, in the
house, and I'm glad that we arehere and I look forward to

(02:34):
sharing with you and you sharingwith us as well.
So jump on this journey with usAll, right, yeah, thank you,
thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
It's a great introduction for me, easy
because of who you are.
So what I say was honest.
It was authentic because of whoyou are and you're an amazing
person.
Thank you, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
All right, you know I wanted to say something.
You know how sometimes I'llread something, or typically in
these types of settings for us,we bounce off of each other
really well.
And when you started talkingabout daily bread, it
immediately my mind went to thescripture that talks about man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds

(03:21):
out of the mouth of God.
And that is what this is aboutproviding that word out of the
mouth of God that we can trulylive on day by day, by day.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
That's amazing, and I always do that kind of stuff
through discernment, becausethat's actually the foundational
scripture for this program thatman shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word thatproceeds out of the mouth of God
.
And what makes it so relevantis that Jesus made that
statement when he was facingpurpose and destiny.
He came out of the wilderness,he was being tempted by the

(03:58):
enemy, and what better time thanto decree for himself and in
the face of the enemy, that Iwould need every day is the word
of God to live by and tosurvive by and to thrive by.
And that's exactly what we needin this day and time to make a
statement, put a stake in theground to ourselves and before

(04:18):
the world and to the enemy, isthat the word of God is my daily
bread and that's what I'm goingto live by, and that's going to
be more than enough for me.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Absolutely, you know.
I think what also bringsadditional power to this is that
that's our testimony, that'sour life, you know, is that we
look for the word of God everyday and everything that we do,

(04:46):
and I feel like that, thatreality for us, that testimonial
peace, I think it willtranslate so powerfully as we
share, because not everyone hasreally sold out to living by the
word or looking for a word toeven live by that comes from the

(05:09):
word of God.
but I feel like the fact that wefunction in that capacity not
in perfection, but that is ourheart's drive that daily,
situation by situation, difficulty by difficulty, we're
looking for the word of God andnot our own word.
And I feel like that that willcreate so much more power in our

(05:37):
sharing of the word Right,right.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
And I don't want to get you too far into this, but
this is so good because it laysthe foundation and I think
that's important for ourlisteners and audience to hear
it, because what you're reallytalking about and when you
talked about how we run to theword daily and what every
believer and every human beingneeds to know that you need the
word daily and sometimes thereason we don't get the word

(06:03):
daily is because we have so manycompeting voices in our ears
and this is how Satan deceivesus out of putting in the time
and carving out the time to getthat daily bread before we
launch our day and get out andgo do whatever it is that we
have to do.
And even if you don't do itbefore you launch your day at

(06:23):
lunchtime or at some point and Ithink it's best to do it in the
morning man to get your word inand your devotion time to hold
on to.
And, of course, you have theword in your heart, to hide it
in your heart so that, no matterwhat comes up, the word of God
is richly in your heart, thatyou may have light for your path
and direction, for what you'refacing.
And it makes me think about howEve was deceived by the enemy

(06:49):
in the garden of Eden by a word.
She had a word from God,through her husband, that we
should not eat of this forbiddenfruit.
She had a word she was with, but look at what happened.
The competing word and that'swhat happens with us with
commercialism and success andcelebrities.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I'm trying to sit here calmly, dr Stokely, but I
just want to emphasize howpowerful that comment was.
Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I'm just saying this is how we slip into the trap.
Yeah, we'll lullaby into it.
It's not like we're doing.
We're not bad people, none ofthat.
We love God and we want to getinto the word, but the
importance of the word islullabied by the drama and the
news and the commercialism ofeverything else that's coming in

(07:41):
through our eye gaze, throughour ear gates, through our
appetite and our desires, thedesires of the heart, and that's
how we end up not getting that.
But I didn't want to jump, butthat's what you took me with.
That's so important.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
That's what happens.
But that was beautiful becauseagain it goes back to the
importance of the word, not onlyhaving that word but being
mindful to keep that word andnot to trade that word for some
other word that does not comefrom the mouth of God.
You know what I mean.
So that was so powerful because, you're right, she had a word,

(08:14):
but then she allowed herself totake on a different word.
You know what I mean.
And so that's beautiful.
That is such a beautiful way tolay the foundation here, because
we do have to be careful aboutthe different voices that we're
listening to.
We can't have 15 pastors.

(08:36):
We can't have.
You know, listen to everyprophet and every this and every
that, because eventually we'regoing to become confused.
We're going to become confusedas Eve became confused as she
listened to the wrong voice.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Right, right, you know this is amazing.
This is, this is powerfulbecause, as you were speaking, I
thought about the reality that, even though we hear competing
voices, there has to be a hungerfor the seed of that voice to
be planted in.
And if Eve didn't have a hunger, what Satan used the serpent to

(09:14):
say would have had no impact onher.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
That's my first thought.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
But she had a hunger inside, not like hungry for the
fruit, but she was hungry forsomething else.
And the enemy came in andplanted a seed where she had
hunger.
And if you think about it, wehave hunger for acceptance, we
have hunger for importance, wehave hunger for wealth, we have

(09:39):
hunger for identity, we havehunger for each other and
relationships, and so there'salways going to be a competing
principle in those areas of ourhunger, fighting against the
principles of God's word in ourlife.
So we have to be mindful, checkyour hunger.
And how are you seeding thathunger?

(09:59):
Are you seeding it with theword?
Are those competing thoughtsbeginning to seed that hunger
that you have?
So the enemy has to come in fora.
That's how he attempted Jesus, when Jesus was hungry after he
fasted for the days and for thenight when he was hungry.
Oh, that's so good, holy ghost, the way you wrap that back in.
When he was hungry, satan cameand said propose to be mindful

(10:20):
of proposals.
Don't ever take a proposal, ohGod.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
That feels very prophetic.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
But I'll pray and go and filter me through the word.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You have to be careful of the proposal, of the
proposal which takes, which justmade me and this is such a
sidebar as we were walking intoday and I said, you know the
we can be easily fooled by onlylooking at things on the surface

(10:51):
and how, on the surface, thingscan look beautiful and they can
look amazing and they can looklike oh, that's the answer, and
it's this and it's that.
But the reality is, a lot oftimes, once you start peeling
back certain things, or I cansay it this way, the longer you
engage with the people or engagewith certain things, you'll
start finding that that thingthat you saw and thought was so

(11:13):
beautiful absolutely was not.
It was not.
And so that just made that, yousay, and what you said just
just brought me back to thatthought that I had earlier today
.
And how easy it is to be.
What word am I looking for?
Not even confused, but tricked.
I guess I can say sweet anddeceived.

(11:35):
Yeah when we're only lookingusing our natural eyes, natural
ears or a natural whatever.
We need something and someonedeeper.
Yes we need the Holy Spirit, weneed the Word of God.
We need God's guidance.
We need Jesus in order to seedeeper than our humanity allows

(11:59):
us to see.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
That is so good.
That is so good Justpiggybacking on the whole idea
of our humanity and what.
What I see as I begin to thinkmore and more about hunger.
And this is great for our firstepisode.
I hope you all are enjoying.
I hope you're listening andtuning in.
We want to thank you again forbeing here.

(12:22):
Let me just pause and recognizeour audience.
I welcome you to the firstepisode of Daily Bread.
This is our introductoryepisode.
I'm Dr Jarell Stokely.
I'm here with my wife, angelaStokely, and we are, we are
bringing you Daily Bread to helpyou.
Amen, have a hunger for God morethan a hunger for self, and

(12:43):
have the word that you need tobe successful and achieve.
And so when you talked abouthunger, it took me right to
Jesus, right when he was beingtempted at that moment to trade
in his destiny for what theenemy wanted to give him.
But look at what the enemy usedfirst his hunger and and and so
much of what we do goes back tohunger or appetite.

(13:06):
We are eyes, hunger for things.
We smell through our senses, our note.
You smell some roast beef inthe oven with carrots and
potatoes and gravy and somescallions, and, and you smell
the corn, the buttermilk, cornbread in the oven.
Yeah, you know, and I'm notgonna, you know, throw back to
my roots but you see thestrawberry Kool-Aid on the table

(13:27):
.
Let's just say sweet tea, eliminate and pecan pie, and you
just see the smell creates ahunger.
What we hear creates a hunger.
When we hear the success ofother people, when we hear the
romantic relationship that aperson is having, when we hear
the business strategy thatsomeone is applying, when we

(13:48):
hear a certain commercial abouta car it creates, it taps into
our appetite.
That is already there.
So so we're walking around as aspeed, as a appetite driven
species.
So much about our decision tapsback to our appetite.
And here's what Jesus did.

(14:10):
Jesus told Jesus chose hisappetite for God over his
appetite for himself.
It took me a long time to getto that.
I wish I could.
I wish I could say things asquick as you do.
And it says clear as the sink.
But Jesus was at a crossroad.
Do I submit to the hunger forme, but what Satan was offering

(14:32):
him?
Or do I?
Do I lean to my hunger for Godand choose my hunger for God
over the hunger for for myself?
Because he said if you are theSon of God, turn this stone into
bread.
And he said he chose God overhimself.
And that's the key todisciplining your appetite, all

(14:52):
your appetites go ahead.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, oh, I was just sitting here thinking about
suggestive selling and howthat's a real thing.
It happened to me justyesterday.
I don't even eat McDonald's,but I was looking at somebody on
TV and they mentionedMcDonald's and immediately it
took me back to ooh, mcdonald's.
And I was like what?
You don't even eat McDonald's.

(15:14):
I know you don't eat McDonald's, so that's really true.
You know that certain thingscan creep in.
I mean, that's just a verysimple example, but I could have
gotten up and went to go get toMcDonald's simply because
someone said it.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Someone said it.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Someone said it.
You know what I mean, and so Ithink it just like in that
scenario, I immediately I waslike it threw me.
I was like what, why would Iwant that?
I don't even eat that, whywould I want that?
And so, again, that those wordssometimes can get in our ears
and reroute.
I love the fact that you saidthat he was trying to get Jesus

(15:56):
to forfeit his destiny Right, because sometimes we don't
recognize that those smallconversations or at least we
think they're smallconversations we don't realize
how life altering they canactually be.
Because what if he would havegiven in to what the enemy was

(16:17):
suggesting right and proposingright, you know, then things
would have changed right wouldhave looked very differently,
you know.
And so I think we have to bemindful that, even in the, the
things that sometimes we say, oh, that's not a big deal, that's
not a big deal, no, it's a bigdeal, because we could be one
decision away from changing ourentire life.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
One decision away.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
One decision away.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Wow, yeah, and it's important to understand why.
It is important to you know, bein the Word of God and live the
Word of God daily and base yourlife and your life decisions,
your life practices, your lifegoals and pursuits.
See this thing about your lifeyou got to understand your life

(17:02):
is on the line, oh my goodness.
Your life, within your life, isyour livelihood and the
livelihood of your family, thelivelihood of your business, the
livelihood of your relationship.
You are the nucleus, you are thecore.
No one else is responsible forthe health, wealth and success
of your life, but you and we.

(17:22):
We, because we go through somuch trauma and dramatic things
in life and we'll get into someof that we lose sight of how
important we are to everythingaround us.
We are the steward ofeverything within our spirit of
influence, within our spirit ofpower and within our lifespan.

(17:42):
That dash between the dayyou're born and the day you pass
away is the most important partof your life and what you do
with that, so your life.
I think we have to give Godglory for life and our life,
regardless of how bad it's been, how successful it's been.
When you give God glory forlife, you realize your existence

(18:02):
is important.
You are important and take thereins of your life in the, in a,
in a divinely blessed favoritepath, by living by the Word of
God yeah, the daily bread thatyou need to be who God called
you to be absolutely amen.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
And you know I was sitting here thinking as you
were talking.
I was thinking about how, living by the word, the irony of
the taboo ism that's connectedto that sometimes yeah and it's
oftentimes in the Christiancommunity you know.

(18:41):
It can be family, it can bechurch members.
Oftentimes when you haveconversations that say, oh, I
believe this is the word of theLord for me and it doesn't look
like, does it seem like whatanother human being thinks right

(19:01):
, oftentimes the conversationsabout living by the word of God
has some tabooism to it wherepeople sometimes are standoffish
or they second guess or theykind of give you the look out
the corner of the aisle like areyou really?
Like, are you serious?
You know and I think, as Ithought about that, I think the

(19:25):
reason why there is thatawkwardness to it sometimes in
those conversations is because alot of us haven't seen a lot of
believers live by the word ofGod for real, and I think that's
what makes it strange andawkward, and sometimes that's

(19:46):
what makes it a little difficultto have the conversations, even
with young adults in this dayand time, Because if we've not
seen it in a lot of it you knowin our generation then what have
the generations after us, ourchildren and their children,
what have they seen?
And I think that what removes,or what could remove that

(20:07):
awkwardness to that is when morebelievers really jump on board
and say my goal in this thingcalled life is to live by the
word of God.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Right, absolutely.
And I think what has beenmissing out of that picture and
of course, the leaders before usand those who've gone before us
and our pastors and teachersare in some ways responsible for
this what's been missing out ofthe example is transparency,
absolutely Transparency to thepain of living by the word, the

(20:46):
balance between the pain and thepurpose, the balance between
the pain and the promise.
That's the part that's beenmissing.
And so, if it was for too long, those before us and even now,
you know we wear a mask, youknow we feel like we have to
wear a mask and live through amechanicalism, a mechanical type

(21:08):
of walk with God that sayseverything is fine, that says
don't wear pants, that says youknow a woman can't do this, that
says you know, if you don'tgive, you don't love God.
It's just, it's so manymechanical things, and on top of
that's one half of the mask.
The other half of the mask is alack of transparency about the

(21:29):
pain of it and that walking withGod is not always a bed of
roses.
But you can go through thatpain, praising Absolutely, and
we don't get enough of thatbalanced picture.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Because because to have to cry is again taboo-ish,
you know, to it makes itdifficult to be for some.
To be transparent about thepain, because ideally it's, if
you're a Christian and you'resupposed to just be this all the

(22:01):
time.
Whatever this is right, it'syou're not supposed to cry.
You're not supposed to have abad day.
You're not supposed to, youknow, have a bad day.
You know you're not supposed tocry.
You're not supposed to have abad day.
You're not supposed to, youknow, have you're broken heart,
oh my.
God, you're not supposed toexperience rejection, or you're
not supposed to, or, if you do,you're supposed to like be

(22:22):
stone-faced.
And it's like, realistically, when you think about that and
when, as I was sitting here, thinking as you were talking, I
was like I think a part of theproblem is have we read the
Bible?
Have we read the Bible?
Because those that we readabout and that we champion and
that were excited, that are inthere, they struggled in big

(22:46):
ways I don't know about you, butbless David's heart.
The fact that you stepped out.
He was minding his own business.
The prophet came to him and tobe anointed for something that
you didn't even ask for, andthen later be on the run for
your life because the personthat's over you, that you're

(23:07):
trying to serve, is trying tokill you like whoa.
That's hard, that's difficult.
You know what I mean, and so Ithink that one of the things
that I feel like we, in this dayand time, don't do as believers
is really look at the word andsay, if I am struggling, that is

(23:28):
not some foreign thing.
Oftentimes, it is through thestruggle that God shows me more
about who he is.
It is often through the strugglethat God shows me who I am.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Right.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
And so I think that that's always my go-to is are we
reading the scripture?
If we really believe that hardtimes and difficult times are
not supposed to come to thebeliever, where did that come
from?

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Right, you know, right, yeah, I mean you make a
great point.
Because Jesus, jesus, in areally healthy way, displayed
all of his emotions of a humanbeing.
He was 100% Jesus, 100% God,and he displayed his humanity.
His humanity was on display, his care for Mary at the cross.

(24:11):
Mary, behold your son, son, behold your mother, that love
and care that he had for Lazarus.
You know he wept when Lazaruspassed.
He wept over Capernaum.
You know, jesus, just, hepracticed, he showed anger.
He was rejected by all of hisdisciples.
He showed what that was like Inthe Garden of Gethsemane.

(24:31):
He had anxiety and stress, tothe point where his capillaries
and his forehead were drippingblood instead of sweat.
You know, and so you'reabsolutely right.
I think it's important how aboutsay, sweetheart, I'm trying to.
I think it's important,sweetheart, that as believers,

(24:51):
we look at not just the man orthe men and women in our
Christian leadership and ourchurches or wherever.
We gotta look at Jesus and theman, we gotta look at Jesus and
the woman.
So when you're reading theBible, even though you're being
taught by a pastor, a leader ora sermon, remember to look at
Jesus.

(25:11):
Look at Jesus, though.
You can get that teaching, youcan be a great teaching, but
remember Jesus, because that'swho we are to be focusing on how
to live a life through thedaily bread of God's word and
live on our purpose and be whoGod has called us to be.
This is really good, man.
This is really good to turnthis off.

(25:33):
So just a few more minutes here, as we're gonna have to wrap up
our first episode.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
That's fine, you know , if it's okay.
I wanna share something.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yeah, sure.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
I remember when mom passed.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
And I, you know, just in the process, when she wasn't
feeling well and going throughdifferent things, you know, I
remember in prayer I told theLord that my prayer for her was
that she would be healed.
But I was wise enough to knowthat even if she wasn't on this
side and she had gone to heaven, she was healed.

(26:11):
So I said Just let me know whatthe plan is.
I'm sharing with you what I'mbelieving.
I'm believing for her healingon this side, but I want you To
let me know what your plan is.
You know what I mean, right?
Sometimes I think that we getso focused on what we want that

(26:34):
we don't leave room For God tolet us know what he wants for us
right.
What does that mean?
So that when he gives us a word, that word makes sense, right,
we may not agree with it, we maynot be the thing we were
thinking, but when we leaveourselves open with that reality
that at the end of the day, hisplans for me are good and I

(26:57):
know that whatever he does in mylife, it's good, it may not
feel good, right, and even ifthere's complications in
whatever I know, god is able towork it all good, all for my
good.
You know, I mean, and Iremember when, the day that she
passed, I went into the she'dgone to the hospital, of course,
as you know and I went into thesanctuary and I began to pray

(27:19):
and I sat there and my questionto the Lord because I'm trying
to give this example aboutNeeding the daily bread, right,
and not falling apart and notgoing into, you know, all this
other stuff that we could gothrough when things get hard I
went in the sanctuary and Iprayed and I said, okay, lord,
what's the plan?
That Translates, lord, what'sthe word for this situation?

(27:42):
I sat there, an hour, I believe, and the Lord showed me her
funeral.
That was my word.
Yeah, that was my word.
Yeah you know what I'm saying.
I said yes, sir, and I got upand I went back to my office and
finished working, because Iunderstood this is his plan.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I had a prayer.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
I had a thought, I had an idea.
But, laura, what are you saying?
Right, you know, yeah, and, andso we have to be flexible.
I feel like right right to sayokay, god, this is what I'm
asking for.
However, I want your perfectwill right to be done, right,
you know?
And so, in that very hard time,he gave me a word.

(28:25):
He gave me, he gave me thatword and then, the Sunday after,
when we had the service, Iwalked in the sanctuary and you
were preaching and he gave meanother word.
Every season, step by stepright he will give us exactly
what we need right you knowexactly what we need, but we
have to have the posture whichincludes flexibility.

(28:47):
This is God.
Even if you don't do it the wayI, I think it should be done
right, I will still be satisfiedright.
Because ultimately I want yourword right and so for every time
he's given me a word, it'sgiving me life.
Right, it's giving me strength.
Right, it's giving me hope.
Yeah, every time I startedfeeling hopeless, he give me a

(29:07):
word and I start feeling hopefulagain, right, you know, until
it's so powerful, so powerful tosituate ourselves To say you
know what I really do want tolive by every word that proceeds
out of the mouth of God.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah right, that reminds me that.
That reminds me of the word ofGod.
Living out the word of God willnot remove Distress and
difficulty out of your life, butit will remove the distress and
difficulty out of you.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
That's so good.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Say that one more time, though, the living a life
in the word of God doesn'tremove Distress and difficulty
out of your life, but it doesremove stress and difficulty out
of you, and that's what'simportant, that's what the
circumstance in a lot of casesdoesn't change.
They change sometimes.

(30:06):
Sometimes they don't.
We have to change in thecircumstance and be not
conformed to the world, but betransformed by the making new of
our thought, life, the renewingof your mind.
And we do that by the word ofGod.
The faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God.
When I hear a Revelation, aword, it empowers me, inspires

(30:29):
me, heals me, delivers me fromthe anxiety and the weary and
the concern about what I'mdealing with.
I'm thinking about when you talkabout bread and you talk about
difficulty.
I'm thinking about the childrenof Israel when they were coming
through the wilderness and andGod only fed them manna.
For 40 years now, god sentmanner as bread and I have to

(30:50):
thank Dr James, dr Cynthia Jamesof Potter's house, who broke
down.
You know a really clear way ofhow the children of Israel saw.
They saw it as what, becausemanna means what God called it
Bread.
They called it what.
And sometimes, when God isfeeding us, we say what is this?
Because what I'm, what I wantto get at, is this.
Sometimes, in difficulty, whenyou get a word, it doesn't

(31:14):
remove everything, it just givesyou enough.
That's what matter was enoughfor the day.
It was just enough prayer forthat day and they had to go back
and pick up some more off theground than Omer.
They can only get an Omer at atime, so an Omer was enough for
one day's meal.
And sometimes you can be goingthrough difficulty and life is
full of difficulty, anddifficulty is not gonna go away.

(31:37):
We're always gonna be facingdifficulties.
We're facing difficulty rightnow.
That will be difficulty in ourfuture, difficulty in your
present, right now.
But just like the children ofIsrael, in that difficulty, in
that wilderness, you get thebread and they wanted it to be
so much.
More than enough for justenough.
But sometimes all you gonna getout of the word is just enough

(31:58):
inspiration for another day, foranother day.
Just enough revelation for thenext day.
So don't be disappointed, don'tmisunderstand the power of
God's love in your life, all theword of God, simply because you
read the word or you've beenstudying the word and your

(32:20):
problem's not going away.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
That's what.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
I'm trying to get at and you did, and you did it
beautifully and that was soamazing, that was so powerful,
and that was so amazing becauseit's so true.
And I like to think, when yousaid that it's how strategic God
is, yeah, and how when he givesus that just enough, it

(32:44):
positions us to go back again,to go back again Because
sometimes, if he gives us toomuch too soon, too much too fast
, he knows us.
He knows that sometimes we'lldisappear and we won't be as
hungry for him.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
As if he only gives us just enough.
Wow, you know.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
I don't exactly remember the quote, but I
remember this quote about thequickest way to failure is to
get success too fast, is to gettoo much too fast because you
can't handle it and you're gonnafail at your stewardship and
your responsibility and yourgrowth process and your
developmental process around it.
It's not what you have.
We don't get the blessings weget just to possess them.

(33:29):
We get them to steward them andsometimes even getting a
blessing, getting big blessings, require you to grow up and
mature to the level ofdiscipline and responsibility to
take care of that blessing, maintain that blessing and even
grow.
That blessing and sometimes alack of what we need is also

(33:51):
designed to help us understandhow to be a good steward over
little, oh my God, how to bemature with what you consider is
not enough, absolutely.
It's all about growth and faithin God.
Wow, this has been amazing ithas been.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Oh my God, god is amazing, he is amazing.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
