All right, so we pray .
You came here today looking fora word, because that's what we
have, and so today we're stillin this series, pastor,
possessing a winning mindset,and I want to let you introduce
this teaching.
But I will have to say topeople we're not talking about
the next three steps to make yougive you more capacity to do

(10:06):
something.
We're concerned with you andthe mind in your mind,
hallelujah, which is yourthoughts.
The brain is the muscle, thebrain is the organ, but the mind
is the thought life of thebrain, and we're concerned about
your mind.
Mental health is a big issueeverywhere.
There's enough stress to goaround.

(10:29):
We are fighting every morning,sometimes just to get up,
sometimes just to go to work, tohave peace, just to ride home
with sanity, and not just gethome and just quit and give up,
not to just get home and climbin the bed or get a drink and
just go to sleep, but we're alsostriving to have a mindset of
success, a mindset to win.
All of that comes down to havingyour mind renewed, like the

(10:53):
mind of Christ.
So when we talk about a winningmindset, this is not just nine
more strategies for you to dosomething, but it is about
becoming who God has called youto be, and we think in order to
do that, you have to have themind of Christ coming.
Who God has called you to be,and we think, in order to do
that, you have to have the mindof Christ.
So we've been talking aboutpossessing a winning mindset.
When you hear that and youtranslate that into your

(11:14):
everyday life things you have toface, goals that you have set,
sometimes the past that may betrying to haunt you how do you
translate, you know, possessinga winning mindset?
You know, in a practical, youknow way, to even to even begin
to think about that and considerthat for where you are and what

(11:35):
you're trying to do in liferight now.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, you know, I think there's several different
things, there's several, severaldifferent things, and so much
went off in my mind as you askedthat question.
And for me, I think I'll startwith this one, because I feel
like it highlights who I am, butit comes from this posture.
When I think about possessing awinning mindset, I think about

(12:00):
posture, I think about thisplace in this way that I'm
choosing to be, you know, and itbecomes more about being than
it is doing.
And if I can be in a posturethat says I am constantly going
to possess this, then I don'thave to work so hard.

(12:21):
Don't have to work so hard.
You understand what I'm sayingwhen I put myself in a place of
a posture of having a um, awinning mindset.
And so because the other thingis is because I don't like to
feel bad, I don't like to feelnegative things, I don't like
negative emotions, I don't likeany of that.

(12:43):
That's just not my thing.
It is the force behind why Iwork hard to maintain a posture
of a winning mindset.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You understand what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Because I think we have to get to that place where
we know these are the thingsthat I want, these are the
things that I don't want.
And so chaos and drama andmessiness and all of the stuff
like I don't like feeling down,I don't like feeling depressed,
I don't like feeling angry, Idon't like those feelings.
So I work at putting myself ata place where I can have a

(13:21):
mindset that debunks thosefeelings.
Now there is that reality thatyou're going to feel what you
feel and I allow that feeling tohappen most times, but I'm
always because I have thisposture of winning, having a
winning mindset.
It automatically kicks me intothis process of putting the

(13:41):
right thing on my mind.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You understand what I'm saying, right right, and so
I think that there are again.
I'll go back to the originalstatement.
I think there are many things,but I think for me it starts
with what my posture is and thenit goes into what I do and
don't want you know what I'msaying and I think all of that
plays into really positioningmyself to have a winning mindset

(14:06):
, like I.
I heard that report, I heardthat information.
I am aware it's not, you know,being in this place of being a
loop, you know, elusive or youdon't know or being ignorant to
anything.
It's yep, I heard that, Irecognize that and I have these
feelings, but I don't want tokeep these feelings, right, you

(14:27):
know.
So I have to shift in my mindto say, well then, what do you
want?
Right, you know, I want to feellike that I can be an overcomer
in this area.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
What does God's word say about being an overcomer?
That's it right there, you know.
And then I'm looking in theword for a word to then put on
my mind.
That's then going to regulatemy emotions, even though I know
what the information is, I knowwhat the facts say, I know what
the report is.
I can see calamity in someareas, but in order for me to

(15:02):
have what it is that I said thatI want, I need the right thing
on my mind.
The right thing on my mind isgoing to produce the thing that
I said that I want.
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
I am.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
I'm a huge proponent of peace.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
When I think about scripture, the fact that Jesus
gave his only begotten son andthat Jesus is the Prince of
Peace and he is the one thatresides on the inside of us,
then I have access to peace atany time, but it's depending
upon what I choose to do.

(15:39):
Do I lend myself to worry, Do Ilend myself to the negative
thinking or do I lend myself toworry?
Do I lend myself to thenegative thinking or do I lend
myself to the positive thinkingthat's going to get me to that
place of peace?
As you know, the scripturetalks about be anxious for
nothing, but through prayer,with supplication and
thanksgiving that your requestsbe made known unto God and the

(16:00):
peace of God.
The recipe there you know.
And because I desire peace, Iam mindful of that scripture and
I strive to hurry up and getthere when my peace is or when I
find myself without peace beingactive in me.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Wow, it takes me to a question.
So our topic today is practicalsteps to cultivate positive
thinking habits.
So once something that you saidsay it reminded me ofing a

(16:44):
positive mindset and all dayjourney and all day challenge it
is, and why so?

Speaker 2 (16:51):
It is because things are happening all day.
Right there are there'sopportunities.
You know, I think about thescripture that says we all will
have the opportunity of beingoffended.
Offense is going to come Right,somebody is going to always.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
I can't let us go past it.
I want you to come, I need youto say that again.
Say that again.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Offense is always going to come.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
What's going to come Offense?
What is offense?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
When someone does something against you.
Come on, yeah, so we haveplenty of opportunities.
The word of God says that wehave plenty of opportunities to
be offended.
The beauty is that we don'thave to receive the offense.
It's just like what scripturetalks about the weapon will form

(17:38):
, but it won't prosper.
The weapon shows up, but itwon't do what it came to do.
The offense shows up, but inthose moments we have to decide
am I going to take that in Rightor am I going to identify that
for what it is and am I going topush that back out so that I
don't walk away an offendedindividual?
You know what I'm saying.
So it is.

(17:59):
So things are going to happen.
Some is going to cut you off intraffic.
Somebody may send you a textand they worded incorrectly, and
so it feels like they're comingat you, but on the other end of
the text it could just bebecause they're having a bad day
and they don't know how tocommunicate their emotions.
But if you are not mindful ofmaintaining a winning mindset,

(18:23):
you can easily snap off, youknow, and, and lose it over
something.
Somebody said that, just itcame out the wrong way.
You know what I'm saying.
Or maybe they said it, admittedthat way, yeah, but it's
because something's broken inthem, it's because something is
undone in them.
You know when we, when werealize and become convinced, as

(18:47):
we talked about in the lastepisode, that we want a winning
mindset.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Well, I want it, I want it.
Look here, look here.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
When I want something , we do what is necessary to get
it and keep it.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
When we really want it.
Come on and see the way you'redescribing this validates the
whole idea that the winningmindset is a kingdom.
Yes, because you're talkingabout overcoming offense.
Yes, you're talking aboutpracticing patience,
self-control.
These are not concepts to teachyou how to be more successful

(19:31):
at building a business.
These are concepts to teach youhow to be more successful in
everything that you do, bypossessing this overcomer
mindset and possessing the mindof Christ, because he had to
overcome it all and that's whatgave him that winning mind.
He was always winning at beingGod-like.
He was always winning atpossessing wisdom.

(19:54):
He was always winning atpossessing a humble mind.
He was always winning atpossessing a mind of care,
empathy and sympathy, a mind oflove, grace and truth, and
that's what brought him into anydimension.
When you have that overcomingmindset of Christ, you can move
into different dimensions andplateaus and peaks and pinnacles

(20:18):
and be grounded in wisdom andwise counsel and strategy to the
glory of God, and not just foryourself.
And what is what is profitableto the pocket, but more so what
is profitable to the purpose,and that's that's what it's all
about that was that feltprophetic.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I'm going to just say that because you know, I like
to.
I like to make sure that peopledon't miss that.
If you, you know, go back andlisten, rewind, go back and
listen to what he just said.
That felt very prophetic to meand I don't want us to miss that
.
And, as you were saying that,one of the things that rose up
in my spirit and I think this isa great nugget for us to take
away is that Jesus didn't getcaught up in the weeds.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
He didn't get caught up in the weeds and sometimes
that's my word Don't get caughtup in the weeds.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
And sometimes that's my word Don't get caught up in
the weeds.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Sometimes our downfall comes in getting caught
up in the weeds.
Wow, and that's where we getmessed up and that's where we
lose our footing.
To have the right mindsetbecause we'll go digging all
down in weeds.
Ain't nothing in there, Ain'tnothing in there, but probably
some snakes, some more weeds,some things that are all

(21:28):
convoluted and twisted up, somedirt and some stuff you don't
even want to deal with.
So why go hanging out in theweeds?
You know I think about you know, when we talk, when we talk
about the Eagle, we talk aboutthe Eagle.
They go high.
We've got to get out of thischicken mindset where we're
squabbling down here in the dirtand looking down here in the

(21:49):
dirt at things.
So what that happened?
That's weed stuff.
You got to rise higher, figureout what's happening up in the
heavenly realm, what's what'shappening at a higher level,
because that stuff down there isnot.
It is not profitable.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
I'm about to say girl .

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Come on girl me.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Girl, woman of God.
Yes, sir, that thing is someaty, that's so old.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Oh, I feel that, anointing for it, I feel that
anointing for it.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
That is so powerful?
Because, as you're talking, I'mthinking about everything down
in the weeds.
We have dominion over?
Come on, do you know that whenyou're talking, I'm thinking
about everything down in theweeds we have dominion over?
Come on, do you know that whenyou're walking through weeds, do
you know how many spiders, bugs, worms, caterpillars, snakes,
creeping, crawling, things thatyou're just stepping on as you
walk, that you're just walkingright past, that would scare you

(22:47):
if you was down in the weedslooking at it up close?
You're stepping on the stuffthat would scare you when you
bypass the weeds.
Come on, come on, come onsomebody.
Come on and walk tall intowhere you're going.
You know, as you were talkingabout that, it helped me to
realize that when you don't havean overcoming mindset meaning
you're walking in a defeatedmindset and you're down in the

(23:07):
weeds, your vision is blocked.
Yeah, absolutely, because weedsare typically tall.
If I'm in the weeds, I can't see, you can't see, See, you can't
see.
And if the enemy can snap yourcapacity to see where you're
going, to see what the futurecould be, to see the good that
lies ahead, you're already done,you're already defeated.
He has already annihilated youand crippled you, and he has

(23:31):
already pinned you to the groundand crippled you, and he has
already pinned you to the ground.
But my Bible says you are morethan a conqueror.
That means that that phrasemore than a conqueror in in
Greek competition embolizes andsymbolizes a Victor who has his
foot on the opponent's neck.
That's what it means by morethan a conqueror.
You all the way under my feet,to the point.

(23:52):
You can't even you dead.
My foot is on you and you needto understand something you have
dominion over those weedsituations and weed minded
people.
So go ahead and walk, you know,tread on serpents and scorpions
, and nothing shall by any meansharm you.
That's what Jesus told hisdisciples and apostles.
And boy, we better get to thissubject, because we are gone
right now.

we better get to this subject because we are gone
right now, but it's good though.
But it's good Because that'spractical.
It's still practical, it'sstill a practical thing for us
to do Come up to the next level,my brother.
Oh, my God, that's good.

(24:32):
Take our rightful position,take the position that Jesus
came to give us, and that ishaving he restored our authority
, he restored our domain, and sowe've got to come out of those
weeds so that we take ourrightful position in the kingdom
of God.
And I'm going to say thisbecause I keep feeling it,

(24:53):
because we get caught up in whatwe feel like.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
What you feel like has nothing to do with what is.
I wish I had a mic in my hand,I would have dropped it.
Because, just because you don'tfeel like you are more than a
conqueror, my Bible and you justsaid it says that we have the
power to walk on the head ofserpents.

(25:19):
So because you don't feel likea conqueror doesn't mean it's
not true, because you have thepower to do what you need to do.
Glory to God.
So I can feel less than I canfeel counted out, but my Bible
says I've been grafted in Comeon.
You understand what I'm sayingso our feelings don't always

(25:41):
dictate what is real, and we'vegot to move from the place of
well, I don't feel like anovercomer, I don't feel like
this, I don't feel like that.
That is when we have to get towhat we're talking about, and
that is that winning mindset.
But what did the word of Godsay?
What did the word of God sayand I'm going to tell you this
is my one of my sayings too it's, it's, it's the word, is what

(26:03):
the word says, and then it'swhat we say.

Right.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
And I'm just going to say somebody lying and it ain't
the word, it is not God, and sowe've got to let God's word be
true and every man alive, andthat includes ourselves
sometimes.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
This makes me think about, you know, the practice of
bringing my feelings and myemotions in alignment with my
promise.
Yes, I got to fear my emotionslike a car or like steering
cattle.
I have to get into action.

(26:40):
I have to activate you do, comeon somebody my authority,
because it's not just going tohappen, man.
I have to activate what I havebeen given to steer my emotions
into my devotion.
Oh yes, sir, I got to steer myemotions into my devotion.
I got to steer my problem intomy promise.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
I got to do it.
I have to do it Because it'snot going to just get over there
on its own.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Come on, it's not going to get on its own, it's
not going to get over there onits own.

And again, I think sometimes those are the missing
pieces.
We don't want to do the workthat's required and that is why
we feel so defeated because wewon't just do the thing that's
in the word of god to do.
Sometimes we don't have thepeace.
We talked about the scripturelast time, how, or maybe it was

today, I can't remember.
But the the um that we're notsupposed to have anxiety.
Right?
Don't have anxiety, don't worryabout anything.
We can pray, supplicate, makethanks, I mean and have
Thanksgiving.
We don't want to do that part.
Let every request be made knownunto God so that the peace of
God can keep your heart and mind.
We don't want to do that part.
We want God to do it all.
We don't want to supplicate, wedon't want to have Thanksgiving

But what have you said?
I feel the Holy Ghost.
What have you said lately?

What petitions have you laid atthe throne of God?

better, but have you put thosepetitions before the Lord?
Oftentimes we're frustratedabout not having results in
areas we ain't done nothingabout.
Come on, we just internalizing.
We're in the weeds.
We're internalizing Down in theweeds.
I can't believe this happenedto me.
Oh, this is messed up, oh thisis unfair.

But have you put the petitionsof what you want before your
father, who not only hears yourprayers, but who also answers?
So then, what are wecomplaining about?

So you've got to get over intothe habits of practicing a

this word, whatever keeps me.

Because God, because we all have a file of God's
history of goodness in our lives.
We have a memory bank ofsomething God did that was good.
And so this passage ofscripture is saying listen when

That includes little big oldnew that nobody saw.
Internal, external, whateverListen.

God has made such a way out forus.

what's true.
God is good.
That's true.
Yeah, jesus came for me.

So if I take that when I'mtrying to have a pattern of a

stressed and I'm fatigued andI'm failing, I'm dealing with
failure.
I'm a hardest self critic.
I have limiting self beliefswhen all that is going on in my
head, if I could just think onthe truth that Jesus came to set

me free and I'm free, thatright there.
If I drop down and it says ifthere's any virtue in it, that
means if there's any good inwhat you're thinking about.
And if it said if there's anyvirtue in it and if it's
anything praiseworthy aboutJesus saving your soul, go ahead
and give praise right there.
Go ahead and get that on yourmind to shift you from negative

(33:15):
to positive.
Anyway, that, just that word.
Whatever always gets you.
It's not a category it doesn'ttalk about.
You don't have to be elite, youdon't have to be a preacher,
teacher, you don't have to bethe boss, you don't have to be
on top, whatever, whatever youcan think about.

(33:35):
So typically, when I readthrough these instructions
whatever things are true, noble,just pure, lovely you know I
look for something deeper.
I hear it, but it's not reallysaying enough for me.
So I broke them down as Istudied, I took each one and I

added some context, somescripture to them for us to look
at.
So it says whatsoever thingsare true.
Let's look at truth and how touse truth to cultivate positive
thinking.
So I have Colossians 3 and 9.
If you can get that one, Icould get the other one in
Ephesians 4 and 25.
So Colossians- Colossians 3.

Yeah.

Do not lie to each other, sinceyou have taken off your old
self with its practices.
Oh my God, do not lie.

with this, but but stop lying,that's good.

When we, when we, when we wearour masks and when we fail to be
human and when we fail to bereal with one another, then
we're missing what thatscripture says.
It says stop lying to oneanother.

And God wants us to walk intruth.
And when you walk in truth, youdevelop a positive mindset
because you have no fear, you'renot letting lies exist anywhere
in your life, so you're notworried about what's going to
come your way, what people aregoing to do to you, because you

live a life of truth.
I've been true, I've been truebefore Everybody.
This is talking aboutpracticing authenticity.

because we can't bring beforeGod the things that need to be

that when we spend our time withGod, no matter where you are in

there's always an opportunityfor your old man to try to start

Try to start showing up andcreating ways in you that you
don't recognize, because it'sbeen a part of who you are, who
you've been or who you used tobe for so long you don't even

And sometimes we need God toreveal those ugly areas in our

Because what Paul is getting atright here in Colossians 3 is
taking off the old manpermanently and putting and
putting on the new man andsetting aside all the ways of
the old man.
See, sometimes we try to keepsome of the ways of the old girl

Or some of the ways of the oldguy yeah, especially when it
comes to dating, did I?

God said your dating life will come together the way
he wants it to when you stopdating like the old girl did.
When you stop dating like theold guy does, because in all the
areas where we take off the oldman or the old woman, the

greatest struggle is in datingRelationships.
I want to say relationshipsbecause sometimes we are quote,
unquote dating oh my God, theauthorities on our job.
Because we're trying to getmore like the old girl does or

the old guy.
So we have all these nicetiesand flirts and you know we work
to impress a certain personbecause we want them to give us
something.
But my Bible tells me the earthis the lowest and the fullness
thereof, and the world and theythat dwell therein.
So I don't have to play the oldman game and I don't have to

wear the clothes of the oldperson to get something, when
the new man has an abundance ofthings waiting on him in Christ
Jesus as an inheritance ofAbraham, under the Abrahamic
covenant that God would be withme and then, where I go, he
would bless me and he wouldmultiply me.
Come on in here, somewhere andeverywhere my foot trod, joshua.

(40:44):
God commanded a blessing to beright there.
So in my new man, in my spiritman it's all things according to
life and godliness, and my oldman is all things according to
death and corruption.
Yeah, absolutely so we can't beflea flicker, old football
player.
We can't dab back into the oldman, dab back into the new man.

But Paul is talking aboutliving in truth, in God and
sincerity, and leaving that oldperson behind with all the
deception of his or her of theflesh man's mindset and I think
sometimes the hardest part ofthat.

What just really hit me is that, because a lot of
times, certain behaviors andcharacteristics were obtained as
survival mechanisms, timesletting those go for the fear of
not being able to survive, notrealizing that God's got us

regardless.
God's got us in ways we can'teven imagine and the truth of
the matter is and I definitelyfeel this straight coming from
Holy.
Ghost.
And the truth of the matter is,is that those things that may
have been used, they reallydon't work.
Survival mechanisms, that'swhat we call them.

They've been things that we'veused in our past lives that we
think work, and they reallydon't work.
They really do not work.
And God, I believe that if wekeep trying to hold on to those,
god's going to show us how muchthose things really don't work.

And, I hear, for our good, theydon't work for our good.
So we've got to be willing tostrip ourselves of all of the
little things that we puttogether in the name of
protecting ourselves, because hesays I am your protector.
He says in the word, the wordsaid that he's a present help in
the time of trouble, so there'snothing that we need to try to

manufacture.
Oh, my god, because he's gotour back.
Uh, goodness and mercy followsus all the days of our life.
He's already encamped angelsaround us, he's got us covered
and we've got to learn how to beokay with God's process of
protecting us.

world, of who you are,knowledge of the world of how to
get ahead.
Knowledge of the world of whoyou are.
Knowledge of the world of howto get ahead.
Knowledge of the world of howto survive when you become born
again man.

You got to change all that andyou got to start getting
knowledge of Christ.
Listen to what it says.
It says and is renewed inknowledge.

You got to get the knowledge.

If you came from, um, maybe youcame from an abusive environment

may not have been very manycomments, very many comments
about who you are.
Maybe there was not reiterationof who God says you are, what
he created you to do, or to callthis on your life, and instead,

maybe there was just given toyou a roadmap that says, okay, I
think you should be a lawyer, Ithink you should be a doctor, I
think you should be this, andit didn't really come from the
Lord, it just came from peoplearound you.
I want and it and it didn'treally settle.
I want to encourage you delveinto the word of God and when
God reveals who you are in hisword, I want to encourage you.

When it seems like it's so muchbigger, just sit with it.
Just sit with it and trust.
God knows what he's talkingabout.
As you go along the way, itwill be revealed more and more

How much lying is going on inthe world right now?

Look how much God cares aboutthe lies we tell, because he
wants us to walk in truth,absolutely.
Oh my God, do you know that inthe Gospels, jesus said, when he
got ready to ascend and go tobe what God?
He said he was going to sendthe comforter and he said he is
the revealer of truth, becauseGod has given you the Holy

spirit so that you can walk intruth, because he's going to
show you the truth and he'sgoing to tell you the truth and
he's going to show us the waysof truth.
But the Bible keeps talkingabout lying.
Like what, like.
Stop lying, like what, stoplying.
It says put away lying.
Let each one of you speak truthwith his neighbor.

Oh, that is so powerful.
Look, for we are members of oneanother.
Now, what's this?
Verse 26 and on.
So here's the practical stuffBe angry and do not sin.
Do not let the sun go down onyour wrap.
That's practical, it is.
You want to know how to havethis positive mindset?
Be angry and don't sin.
This is how you cultivatepositive mindset.

Absolutely, because you'regoing to be mad, angry at people
all the time, angry about this,angry about that.
Anger prevents a positivemindset.
It really does.
Angers prevent you fromfocusing, from thinking, from
having vision, from being fluid.

Look how practical it is yourpossessions, your wealth, your
prosperity.
Come on, we're talking aboutcultivating these positive
thinking habits.
We ought to look at money as achannel to bless others.
It is, oh, my God.
Okay, let no corrupt wordproceed at your mouth.
But what is good for necessaryedification, that it may impart

grace to hearers.
So get things on your mindthat's going to bless somebody,
to say that's beautiful.
Not cuss them out.

It's powerful because the morewe do good towards someone, the
better we feel.

But if we had a mind of Christ,if we had the positive mindset,

God's like I will repay.

That's not our job.
It's not our job to berevengeful.
So we have, we have, we havehired ourselves on for the wrong
employment.
Wow, you understand what I'msaying.
Wow, when we take on, I'm goingto get you back.
Well, what if everybody got usback?
Oh my God, for the things thatwe've done knowingly and

unknowingly.
You know what I mean.
And so we have to make surethat we don't fall into that
trap.
I got to get you back.
No, no, no, no.
What about grace?
What about mercy?
See, those are characteristicsof Jesus Christ.
What about those things, jesusChrist?

What about those things?
But we have to tear throughthis flesh and tear through the
old ways, and tear through thepride and tear through the
arrogance.
But sometimes the tearing isexactly what God needs for us to
do to tear through all of yourlittle fleshy ways that are not
doing you any good for what hewants to do in your life, and

oftentimes we are holding ourown selves up because we won't
practice the practical things.
Extend grace, if for nothingelse, because grace has been
extended to you.
Extend mercy, if for nothingelse, because mercy has been
extended to us.
We did we forget, oh my god?

(53:33):
Did we forget the wretches thatwe are?
Did we forget, you know?
And I think, if, if we cansometimes just take a beat, take
a beat, I think we can getourselves in a better place, a
better headspace, and be morewilling to give it, because
that's going to make me feelgood.
The joy that I have to give andto share, because what happened

(53:57):
is is that God showed me, isthat he's created in me who I
asked him to create.
I used to be a very selfishindividual.
I was spoiled, so the worldrevolved around me and in my
mind as a young person, and so Ineeded that streak in me to be
broken.
I didn't want to be that person.

I didn't see how it wouldprofit me being who I needed to
be for God, and so what I saidLord, help me to be a giver
because before I would give, Ihad to, you know, digitize some
stuff in my brain.
I was like, wait a minute, arethey worthy?
Do they need that?
Do they?
And you understand what I'msaying.
Very critical, very, all ofthat.
And God helped me with that.

(54:39):
So now when I give, I'm soexcited about giving and I give
credit to God for that, becausehe helps me to transform my
heart in that way.
You know what I mean.
And so when you give, it makesyou feel good, wow, because now
you've been a hand of God in theearth realm, now you've been an

(55:01):
extension of Jesus Christ to bea blessing to someone who was
in need, an organization that'strying to do something for the
Lord, and God chose you.
When God says, sow a seed, Iget excited about that.
Two things One, god, you knowyou can trust me.
And number two, I'm glad thatyou want me to be a part of

(55:21):
whatever this is that I'm sowinginto.
That makes me excited.
So we have to learn thesepractical things, especially in
even in giving, giving grace,giving seed, giving care, giving
support.
Yes, let God wreck yourbeautiful organized agenda,
because he wants to do that,because he wants to know that

your agenda will not become anidol.
He wants to know that his wordis going to be more important
than what you had planned to dothat day.
God will work your stuff justlike that, and we have to learn
to be okay with that.
Jesus, we do oh my God, give it,give it.

I'm blown away at the directionthat God took this teaching and
thank you for being a vesseland being willing to let God use
you in that way.

But man, oh my God, walking intruth, giving all things, taking

Take off the old man.

Take off the old man completely, put on the new man and just
practice repentance.
It's not about perfection.
You're going to mess up so manytimes.

I'm quick to repent.
But see, you can't walk aroundsin conscious.
That's what you don't want todo, because when you're sin

conscious you are no longergrace conscious.
I don't walk around all daysaying, god, I'm sorry, I'm
sorry, I'm sorry, I'm paying toomuch attention.

Every sin you're ever going tocommit has already been forgiven

If Christ has has died for thesins of the world, he was even
slain.
The bible says he was slainbefore the foundation of the

world and then he died on thecross for the sins of the world.
That includes those who wereliving on earth before he got
here, while he was here andafter he was gone.
Absolutely so your children'schildren's sins, when they
accept Christ, have already beenforgiven Absolutely.
So you don't walk around sinconscious.

You walk around grace conscious.
Absolutely.
That means I have already beendelivered and set free.
Yeah, I am the righteousness ofGod by the blood of Jesus Christ
, absolutely of God.

So I'm no longer a sinner,trapped in a sin nature, always
conscious about what I'm doingwrong.
No, I am free in him.

I am the righteousness of God.
I have received unmerited favorand I am accepted right in this
terrible flesh that I'm in.
I'm accepted by God and in thisbeautiful flesh that I'm in
because he gave me this body toexecute his will.
And even though there's no goodthing in me, that don't mean
I'm bad.

I'm still good because my bornagain nature's inside of me and
God is using this flesh, throughmy spirit man, to get his will
done.

I think I would just encourageyou to remember that it's a
process.
It's a process.

It doesn't happen overnight.
We don't get there as fast aswe want to be, and I've learned
in 20, 30 years, however long,that we don't get there as fast

as we want to, because God knowsa deeper truth about us that we
don't yet know.
Because God knows a deepertruth about us that we don't yet
know, and he knows what we canhandle.
He knows when we're ready, nomatter how many times out of our
mouths we say that we're ready.
He knows where our heart issuesare.
He knows the things that areahead of us.

That's going to trip us up ifhe doesn't allow us to marinate
or stay in the oven a little bitlonger.
So strive not to get frustratedto a point of anger and sin
with the process, but just trustthat God knows what he's doing.
