doing that.
All right, we have that out ofthe way.
We're in an amazing series thatwe just can't seem to get out
(03:06):
of, and we're talking about thesecrets to unlocking a winning
mindset through biblical wisdom, and this is part five.
We have not been able to getout of this, and so today, our
subtopic is going to be dealing, going to be dealing, and I,
(03:30):
like I really want to say, defeating.
Defeating, uh, anxiety, fearand depression from a biblical
perspective.
Defeating anxiety, fear anddepression, which is a big one
from a biblical perspective.
So, in this short frame of timethat we have with you, we'll
give you the most that we can, because those are some really
serious, serious, heavy topicsthat lead to a lot of issues
(03:51):
Suicide, you know, failedrelationships, failed career,
mental issues, broken families.
That's a lot there.
That's heavy.
But we're going to give youwhat we can in this time that we
have together from the Lordthere.
That's heavy, but we're going togive you what we can in this
time that we have together fromthe Lord.
So Pastor A is going to bringus into this atmosphere with
prayer and then we want you togo to Philippians, chapter four
(04:11):
and verse six.
That's where we're going tostart.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Amen, amen.
Join me in prayer, father webless and thank you and give you
all glory and honor and praise.
We thank you.
God for this new day.
We thank you, god, for everyopportunity that you've afforded
us in it.
We thank you, god, for the manyblessings that you have stored
up on our behalf, oh God, and wejust give you all glory and all
honor and all praise God.
What I sense the spirit of theLord is saying is this I pray in
(04:37):
the mighty name of Jesus thatthis moment, that your spirit,
your power, your glory will findevery person at their place of
need.
God, and that you would do thething that they are in need of
in such a mighty and powerfulway that, god, transformation
will take place in their heartsand in their minds, because as
(04:59):
their mind shifts, their heartwill shift as well.
In the name of Jesus.
So, god, we ask that you haveyour way in this episode, that
you lead us and guide us by yourspirit, that you will anoint us
afresh for the opportunity, god, to share with your people that
which heaven has to say.
In the mighty name of Jesus, wethank you for their deliverance
(05:21):
.
We thank you, god, that theyare coming out.
We thank you, god, thatwhatever is trying to hinder
them or hold them back, that youhave set the captive free
through Jesus Christ.
And we give your name the glory.
Have your way in this place.
In Jesus name, we pray Amen, amen.
Amen.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Thank you for such a
heartfelt prayer.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
We thank God for that
.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Thank you so much for
the anointing.
She's definitely an intercessor.
We covet Angela's prayers inthis family.
Come on somebody.
She is the intercessor of thehouse and you're talking about
somebody who could go before theLord.
We thank the Lord for thatanointing to press in to his
glory.
That his grace will fall allthe more on us and what he's
(06:06):
called us to do.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Amen, amen.
I'm like talking to the Lord.
I know.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
All right.
So people, precious people ofGod, we're talking about
defeating anxiety and fear, bothof which are common.
They're they're, they'retypically cousins.
When you have anxiety, you haveit because you have fear of
something negative happening orsomething good not happening, or
(06:30):
you've been assaulted with aspirit of anxiety, a spirit of
fear that causes anxiety.
Either way, we pray yourdeliverance right now.
We pray that something that wesay come from the word of God,
that would have the power tobreak the yoke of anxiety off of
your life and that fear wouldnot have any.
(06:51):
Here's the deal we want fear tobe powerless in your life and
in ours.
We all are assaulted andattacked and confronted with
fear from time to time, andsometimes all the time, but we
believe in the power of God, webelieve in the power of his word
that it would not return void, and we mostly believe in the
(07:12):
power of the blood of Jesus thathe shed on that cross, to break
everything off of you thatwould hold you back from
blossoming.
Blossoming how God designed foryou to blossom, you shall
blossom.
How God designed for you toblossom, you shall blossom.
You will blossom and you canblossom, and your teeth shall no
longer shake and your bonesshall no longer quiver and your
(07:34):
nerves shall no longer upsetyour stomach with fear and
anxiety, because we believe inyou and we believe in the God in
you, and we believe in the planand we believe in the angels
around you to give you what Godhas in store for your life no
more fear and anxiety for you,no more fear and anxiety for me,
no more fear and anxiety for us.
We will confront our fears andwe will overcome day by day,
(07:57):
amen.
And we're dealing withdepression.
That's a big one right thereand it is.
You know, when you're dealingwith depression, you have to be
mindful.
There are times when you needtrauma therapy.
Yeah, there are times when youneed therapy for your emotional
duress and distress andsometimes you have to blend a
healthy blend of spiritualityand therapy to get you beyond
(08:22):
the past, over the hump andobstacle of what you're dealing
with inside, to get to.
The better you to show up onthe outside, amen, the better
you to show up on the outside.
So remember that.
So we're talking about dealingwith defeating anxiety, fear and
depression from a biblicalperspective.
So the counseling and thetherapy, some of the other
(08:43):
things we want you to get thatwe're going to jump into this
word.
Philippians, chapter four, chapter four yeah, I got you, I
got you, I got you.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
It's crazy you ready,
yep, all right all right, baby
girl.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Okay, all right.
So Philippians, chapter four, and let's start in verse six and
I want you to get this versesix it says B, b, b oh Lord, I'm
trying not to preach yeah.
And B deals with the presenttense.
(09:19):
So this is for any situation inyour life, in your present life
, no matter what category itfalls in relationships, career,
money.
This word was written, you know, centuries ago, but it was
(09:47):
written for your right now.
The power of God's word isright now.
And he says be, that's apresent state, that's a posture,
that's a mindset and a heartset.
Be, be, ye, steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in
the love of God.
So be anxious for nothing.
In other words, let me say itbackwards Don't never be anxious
(10:09):
, don't never be anxious.
Don't never be anxious, but ineverything, all right.
So God has given us anall-inclusive word everything
raising your children, deadlines, court cases Ooh, this is a
good word already, ooh, but ineverything by prayer.
Now, are y'all getting it?
I want y'all to really get this, and I'm not trying to preach
(10:31):
this and I'm just flowing in thespirit of God as it is
resonating with me.
Everything should come underthe mantle of prayer.
Everything in your life shouldcome under the covering of
prayer.
Everything in your life shouldcome under the covering of
prayer.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Everything in your
life should come under.
What prayer can manifest?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
That's why you ought
to be bringing everything in
your life under prayer, becauseprayer will manifest good and
God in your life.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Prayer is a
transporter, amen, because it
will move you dimensionally.
It's not an escalator to takeyou from one floor to the next,
but transporter.
They usually can.
They transport dimensions, theymove into dimensions and
transport.
You know what I mean.
Almost like on Star Trek backin the day when they say beam me
up, scotty and Captain Kirkwould be down on some planet.
(11:27):
And he had Scotty, we had to gethim in that transporter and
take him up to another dimension, and that's what prayer do.
You could be sad and pray andboom, you'd be happy.
That's a dimensional shift.
Yeah, it is Prayer man.
I got to get out of that.
Prayer is a dimensional portal,so everything should come on
the prayer.
Watch this and supplication.
Yeah, and that wordsupplication and I really want
(11:49):
you to get this is reallytalking about that specific
request to god, where you arepraying from your spirit and you
are listening to the holyspirit.
Yes, and you are.
You are praying from the HolySpirit and you are talking to
God in your deepest place.
That's your supplication.
(12:10):
Jesus said I stand at the doorand knock and any man open.
I will come in and guess whathe said?
He said I will sup with him.
That means I will come in andabide.
I will come into an intimatespace for an intimate time and I
will get so close into theintimate space that I become one
with you and your problem.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
One with you and your
desires.
Like that and so thatsupplication, that deep place of
utter desire and pain and evenassurance and belief.
You want to pray, you want topray from there.
Get past the shallow place inyour mind.
You want to pray.
You want to pray from there.
Get past the shallow place inyour mind, get past that corner
place in your mind and get tothat deep place inside of you
(12:48):
where you can talk to God.
The Bible says deep, cry it outunto deep, hallelujah.
The Lord is speaking to you inthe deep and you speaking back
to God from the deep I need tohurry up, it says with
Thanksgiving.
So you want to includethankfulness when you are
praying and talking to God.
(13:09):
Yeah, and I prayed to God,crying before.
I'm not saying you're not goingto you.
You're going to always praythat Thanksgiving is going to
come, but you want to make it apractice with Thanksgiving
because it's an indication toyour mind, to your hearing, to
your enemy and adversaries andprincipalities around you that
you believe is going to come topass.
So I'm already grateful beforeit shows up.
(13:31):
Amen, with Thanksgiving, letyour request be made known unto
God.
And you got to talk to God andhere's what's going to happen.
The peace of God.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yep, this is how
you're going to defeat anxiety,
fear, depression.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
You're going to do it
by peace, and the peace of God
that surpasses all understanding.
This whole thing aboutunderstanding is what you
understand before you, whatyou're believing to be before
you, because understanding comesthrough comprehension.
Comprehension comes throughinformation.
(14:07):
So what he is getting at isthat prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving is going tomove you mentally beyond the
information and facts that youhave comprehended.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Can I say that Okay.
And it says you know thatsurpasses all understanding and
it's going to be a guard.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Like a soldier
guarding a prisoner in a cell.
It's going to guard like likesoldiers around a city wall.
It's going to guard like like asecurity guard at a building
that's closed and he's on theinside making sure nobody gets
in.
There's going to be a guard foryour heart and your mind, his
(14:51):
eyes, going to happen throughChrist Jesus, and that's what
makes it possible, because westart wondering yeah, I heard
that scripture before.
I heard all that, I tried allthat, but I can't seem to help.
Yes, you can.
It's through Christ Jesus, andJesus has all power.
All power in heaven and earthhas been given to him, so you
can have peace, no matter whatyou're going through.
What you have to do, though, isfight for it.
(15:14):
Okay, pastor.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
A, you really do.
You really do.
I often refer to this scriptureas a recipe.
I often refer to a lot of thescriptures in the Bible as
really recipes or remedies thatGod has left for us.
They're the blueprint, and alot of times we're trying to
(15:35):
figure out how to find certainthings and the last place we
look is in the word of God.
But by right, that should bethe first place that we go to
look, and so oftentimes, justthinking about peace, for
example, we try to find peace inshopping or we try to find
(15:57):
peace in something else.
When God clearly shows us thisway to get peace that you have
the power and authority toactivate on your own, you don't,
and it doesn't require you tospend any money, it doesn't
require you to be anywhere inparticular.
You can be sitting in your car,you could be walking through
the park, you can be sitting onyour front porch, you can be in
your bathroom.
It doesn't matter, becausewherever you are, you can send
(16:20):
up a prayer.
The Bible even says men oughtto always pray, but that's a
whole different thing.
So I'm saying that to say itdoesn't matter where you are.
Sometimes we get caught up inWell, I'm not here.
Oh, I need this.
I need this quiet spot.
No, you can pray at the drop ofa dime.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Come on, you can pray
wherever you are.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yes, you can pray
wherever you are, when you are
in need of God's peace.
You and you want it.
Bad enough, you will stop dropand roll.
You know what I mean.
You will begin to just stoppaying attention to that and
begin to open up your mouth andpray to God.
Now, one thing that I got outof this this time that I never
saw before, and I feel like theLord placed it on my heart as
(17:00):
you were reading Apostle, andthat is this that it says um, I
think it's like I guess thiscould be about the boc portion
um, I'm looking at the niv, butit says, when it talks about by
prayer, okay, philippians, chapter four yeah, what verse um
six.
okay, six about the B or Cportion.
(17:22):
Okay, mindsets do not beanxious about anything, but in
every situation, by prayer.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Just that part by
prayer.
One thing that jumped out to mewhen you read it that time is
look at the power of our words.
See, the thing that we strugglewith sometimes is opening of
our mouth in troublingsituations.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
The tactic of the
enemy is to keep our mouths shut
, because he knows, if werelease a prayer, god is going
to hear it oh my God and thenGod's going to send the answer.
The answer let's lookspecifically at this is going to
be peace over the thing that iscausing disruption.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
And when I look as
you, as you said it, I said look
at God showing us the power ofour words again, because it is
through prayer, it's not throughhumming, it's not through any
other thing, but it's throughprayer.
Even when I think aboutrejoicing in the Lord, you still
got to open up your mouth.
You still have the life anddeath, or death.
(18:39):
And life, as the scripture says, is in the power of the tongue,
and what we do with our tonguecan shift our whole life.
Glory to God.
It can shift our whole life.
And so, while the Lordabsolutely loves that we
communicate with him, I believea deeper thing in that is he
(19:04):
wants to show us there was powerin your words.
Watch this.
Wow, he created us in hislikeness.
Wow, because in genesis therewas power in his words.
Jesus so is it his word come on.
(19:25):
So so, going to the, when youtalk about the deeper thing,
that supplication, because I'mgoing to start praying what I
hear the Holy spirit giving meto pray.
Yes, I'm not, I might start allover the place, but the deeper
I get in this thing, I'mlistening to what the spirit of
the Lord is having me to say.
Is it no wonder, then, that thepeace of God, that anything of
(19:51):
God, would then intervene in mycircumstance and my situation
and hold captive that which wasthat that originally had me in
captivity?
Speaker 1 (20:03):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Because all
understanding, everything I
thought I understood, has to bowdown at his peace.
Come on, jesus Come on At hispeace.
At his peace.
Wow, because why I initiatedthe thing he told me that I had,
and that is power to createlife or death, or death or life.
(20:28):
I opened up my mouth and Ibegin to pray.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
There is so much
you're laying a foundation for
so much.
So there's about five differentthings, including questions and
comments and stuff that I wouldlike for you to comment on.
That hit me while you wereteaching.
One of the things I thoughtabout is that you know, somebody
may be saying you know, I trythat all the time, I pray all
(20:55):
the time and I'm not getting theanswers I want.
I'm still anxious, I still seethe same problem, and what I
want to say to that person iskeep praying.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Keep praying, though
you may not see it, because I've
been there.
Yeah, we all have been there, where you don't stop praying
just because what you're prayingfor is not manifesting yet.
OK, you keep praying to God andgoing back to the scripture
where he said men always pray.
So I have a question and I wantto throw this at you because I
(21:29):
know I know the Holy Ghost isgoing to give you this answer.
I know you already have it inyou from your years in ministry
and prayer.
Can you tell me off the top ofyour mind?
Speaker 2 (21:42):
you know three
reasons why you feel like we
don't pray like we should.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
The first thing is
pain.
I knew you had something.
Come on, come on.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
The power of pain.
Did y'all hear that the powerof pain, the power of pain the
power of pain yeah, sometimesthings are, we go through things
that are so painful that wefeel like we can't even utter
words to describe how we feel.
Oh, glory to god that we can'teven get it out, oh jesus, to
(22:11):
pray, because the pain of whatwe're experiencing is so bad.
But what is so beautiful?
That even in that, thescripture talks about how the
Holy Spirit, even when I don'tknow what to say, yeah, how the
Holy Ghost of God, willcommunicate my come on, my
(22:33):
groanings and my.
Sometimes we can go to God in agroan oh, that's so good.
And the Holy Ghost of God, thatis so good, will help.
What is it?
What's the word I'm looking for?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Interpret, interpret,
thank you, there you go.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah, interpret.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yes, what it is that
I'm saying.
You got something to say.
I'm buying the devil right now.
I know, man.
Let me tell you God wants touse you in this episode right
here.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Let me tell you I
said it's okay, you can do all
of that.
I'm going to make it.
It's going to be okay.
You understand, because weprayed that on the way.
Glory to God.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
I agree with you that
everything God is giving you in
your spirit?
It would be Absolutely so.
You said pain, yeah, so you'retalking about the paralyzing
power.
Paralyzing power, if we give itthat seductive, if we're
seduced in that, into thatparalysis, it could hit you.
But don't let it do.
Yeah, you got to pray.
(23:33):
Don't let it, don't let itseduce you.
Oh, my God, go ahead.
Two more reasons why you feellike why don't we pray?
Perspective Okay, pain.
Perspective she rolling withthe peas Okay, come on.
Perspective.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Right, it's how we
see a thing.
Sometimes we go through thingsthat we feel like are unfair.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Sometimes, and this
is our perspective.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
We feel like it's
unjust, we feel like there's no
way.
But you know, sometimes we startjustifying ourselves and if we
have that right andrealistically, yeah, yeah have
that right and realistically wedon't, and we start classifying
what we're going through withall of the wrong labels.
(24:24):
We give it all of the wrongtags and none of them align with
God's perspective of what we'regoing through.
So when I have the wrongperspective about my situation,
then it creates in me a badattitude towards God, because
then I feel like he's donesomething to me.
(24:44):
Then I start feeling like hedidn't do something for me.
Then I start I just, I just Ihave him all in the wrong place
because my perspective about mysituation is wrong and as a
result, because I'm mad at God,I'm not going to talk to God.
Think about it when we're madat somebody, we don't go running
(25:07):
to talk to them and even if wedo, we talk crazy when we do.
And the Bible talks about thereason why we don't see results
in prayers is because sometimeswe pray a miss.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Sometimes we don't
pray the right stuff.
The right stuff and we thinkthat because we're angry, that
that's going to move God.
But God's never intimidated byus.
He never has to dethronehimself because we think our
situation is not right, it's notfair, there's no way I should
have went through this.
And then we start givingourselves justification because
(25:43):
I serve, I tithe, I do this, Ido that, I do this, I do that.
What, come on, do you know whyyou were able to do those things
?
Because there is a power livingon the inside of you that
causes you to be and do.
That's the word of God.
Wow, there is nothing good, nothing good in us, no good work
.
Anything we do, it says afilthy rag.
(26:04):
The word says that.
So when we get out of sorts, weget out of sorts when things
happen because we have the wrongperspective and we're looking
at it out of from our viewpointand not God's.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
That is so powerful.
You're using this wordperspective and in my mind's eye
you know I went to the rootword.
I start seeing the root wordperspective, which is spec,
which is where we get vision orseeing.
That's why glasses back in theday were called specs.
And so it gets to this wholething about lenses and what lens
(26:43):
do you see things through andhow are your lenses your lenses
in which you see life and yourcircumstances?
And it made me think aboutglasses and how, if you have the
wrong medication in your lens,it's going to mess up your
vision.
Oh my God, you will pay moneyfor a lens.
(27:03):
You will go in and employ alens that is working to your
detriment instead of your profit.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Come on, that's real.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
So, oh, my God, you
better say that.
So we have to be mindful ofwhat we are putting into our
lens, trying to get a propervision, which could be actually
creating division from thevision that God has, because we
have a different vision, becauseof the stuff we've put in our
(27:33):
lens.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
So what I excuse me,
what I hear you saying is that
in those moments we're selfprescribing our own lens.
Come on, oh, that's so good, watch this.
And we don't even have a degreeas being an ophthalmologist.
Come on, optometrist.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Yeah, ophthalmology,
I guess.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, so it's like
then why am I trying to create
my own prescription?
I am out of my league, I am outof my lane.
I'm trying to operate in arealm that I was not even
created to operate in.
Good God of mercy, I'm notinterrupting you, but I got to
get this scripture.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
I forget it, so hold
it.
Yeah, you took me to thatscripture that says set your
mind on things above and not onthings that are in earth.
So when I set my mind on thingsabove, I'm taking on his land.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
When I set my mind on
the things in the earth.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I'm putting stuff
into my land, what I think
should be happening.
But what I don't understand is,or what I'm not abiding by, is
that his thoughts are not mythoughts and his ways are not
like my ways.
And as heaven is high above theearth, so is my lens above your
(28:46):
lens, and the way you see it isnot how I see it.
And what I hear you sayingactually, anne, what I hear you
saying is that we oftenfuneralize and eulogize what God
has in process.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Oh, that was good,
say that again.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
We often funeralize
and eulogize that in which God
only has in process.
It's not dead to God, but wehave funeralized it Our hope,
our future our destiny, ourpurpose, our marriage our child.
We start funeralizing thingsthat God said no, don't
funeralize.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
It's just in process
right now.
Leave it alone, that's so good.
That was good.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Oh my God, let me add
this on, let me tag this on to
the back end of this right now, while we're saying this, this,
and I want you to think aboutyour third point.
Oh, I know what it is, okay, great.
So this, this really is gettingat trusting God Absolutely, and
that's really what my comment,my commentary, says here for
this.
Uh, philippians four and six.
(29:48):
One of the comments here is itmeans to commit your problems to
God in prayer.
Commit them, commit them to Godin prayer, and then it says
trusting that he will providedeliverance.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Amen that's it, trust
, that's it.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Prayer is nothing
without trust.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
That's it.
It's nothing.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
It's useless Prayer
is dead.
They talk about faith withoutworks is dead.
Prayer without trust is deadtoo it is.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
I wonder if that just
made me think about the thing
that you said a little bit agoabout praying and not seeing
results.
You know, we don't see results, and I just wonder if it's
because we really don't trustwhat we're saying.
We don't trust what we'reasking, we don't trust that God
is going to do what we're askinghim to do.
We don't even believe it.
We don't trust that God isgoing to do what we're asking
(30:37):
him to do.
We don't even believe it.
We don't believe it, we don'tbelieve it.
And so, oh my God, andsometimes, when you don't
believe what you're asking Godfor, you will miss an
opportunity to do what'snecessary for that thing to
manifest.
Because if I don't believe it,I'm not going to keep speaking
it out of my mouth.
If I don't believe it, I'm notgoing to keep taking it to the
throne room.
If I don't believe it, watchthis, I'm not going to look
(31:00):
forward.
See, when you believe or expectsomething, when you are
expecting a package.
See, we put more trust in UPSand FedEx, and I'm not even
trying to shade them, but we putmore trust in them than we do
in the Lord Come on.
When we know that we've ordereda thing and the tracking number
, see, we get automatednotifications that tell us when
(31:22):
something's going to show up.
But God has left a whole roundof notifications about when
something's going to yes aboutwhen something is going to
happen, but yet we doubt it.
We get an email that says yourpackage will arrive in three
days and we're looking, we'researching, but what are we
looking for in God's word thathe said would come to pass?
(31:44):
Are we looking for the thingsthat we're praying about?
Are we just kind of saying, okay, god, I want you to do this
, this and that, and then we'reback to business as usual, back
to stress, back to frustration, back to anxiety and on the verge
of depression.
What are we doing, amen?
So I wonder, if we can't seemanifestation because we're not
(32:05):
looking for manifestation, wehave no expectation for the
manifestation that we're sayingthat we want.
I just wonder.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
That's a hallelujah.
Praise my God.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Because, see, I'm
crazy in this sense, if I say it
to God, I'm looking forward.
Let me tell you, and you knowthat about me Make sure you tag
that part on.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I'm crazy in this
sense.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah, in this sense
absolutely, Because I'm going to
look forward until God tells mesomething different.
If he does not tell mesomething different, then I'm
going to keep looking for thething that I talked to him about
.
You know what I'm saying, andI've held out in that time and
(32:56):
time and time again, over andover and over again, and all it
does is really build faith andit builds God's credibility in
our lives.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
OK, you give me so
much here.
Ok, so, so.
In other words, ok, let's doyour.
Ok, you still got your third Ido.
Ok, let me, let me say this so,so.
In other words, one of thethings I hear you saying is that
Sometimes prayer it's not aboutan answer.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Prayer is not always.
Prayer should not always beabout an answer.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
That's right.
I'm so glad you said that, because it made me think of
something I didn't say before.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
So this is good.
Going back to this scripturePhilippians 4 and 6, and I
talked about when it says byprayer, we do this right Now.
Watch this how effective are weat praying to God about
resolution, but keeping the sameheart and mind of worry in the
(34:10):
problem?
Yeah, we can't do it, it is,it's an absolute.
And when you read the scriptureit's crazy how I saw it,
because I said look at howamazing God is, because by
prayer I'm entering in.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Entering in.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I'm leaving.
This is so good, come on.
I'm leaving worry.
Yeah, I'm leaving anxiety.
Yeah, I'm leaving the verge ofdepression or depression
altogether, and I'm beginning toenter in Hallelujah.
I'm beginning to enter in towhat God has for my life In this
scripture it's peace.
(34:48):
I'm on my way to somethingwhich means I've got to leave
something behind.
Prayer is the transporter.
You said that Prayer is mytransporter.
It's moving me from where I wasand it's moving me into what
God has promised.
Sometimes, prayer is aboutrepositioning me, jesus,
(35:12):
repositioning my mind, repositioning how I feel,
repositioning my thoughts,repositioning my perspective.
Sometimes, apostle, prayer ismy transporter.
It moves me from where I am towhere God needs me to be.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Let's get hot in here
again Hallelujah, hallelujah,
hallelujah, hallelujah.
Oh my God Woo, so, so, so, so Ipray.
I pray someone right now, andwe get these moments when we're
on podcasts like this, and we,you know, it's not anything that
is man-made man manufactured.
(35:54):
It is one of the Holy ghost ofGod forms and somebody listening
right now.
This is your moment tosurrender what you have been
worrying about, what you havebeen struggling with and even
what you have been fighting thecalling.
You've been fighting on yourlife, jacob.
(36:16):
Okay, you have wrestled withGod and you have prevailed.
Okay, great, it's time for yourname to be changed.
It's time to step into yourdestiny.
It's time to walk and step intowho God has called you to be.
Now is the time when everythingis scary and when you are
fragile and when you're unsureand when you're insecure and
(36:38):
when you're.
Now is the time to move so thatthe manifestation of power will
fall on you and you will getclear vision of your Mount
Moriah.
You will get clear vision ofwhere you ought to make your
sacrifice, abraham, where youought to make your sacrifice on
the altar, where God shallprovide you a ram in the
thickets that you may prevail inyour test, that you may be
(37:02):
known as a friend of God, thatthe promises of God may fall on
you with heavy weight and withglory, to where he has called
you and who he's called you.
This is your moment right now.
Enter into this with submissionand give God your most sincere
yes right now.
Right now that depression isleaving.
(37:26):
Oh, it just broke.
Oh, I felt the glory of God.
The yoke of anxiety just felloff you.
I'm talking to somebody rightnow.
I can't see you, but I can seeyou with tears streaming down
your face.
This is your moment.
This is that time where youstep into divinity.
This is your MountTransfiguration.
When Jesus went up on the MountTransfiguration, god met him
(37:50):
there and he was transformedinto the light, in whom he is,
and so that all of his disciplescan see who it was.
There are some people thatGod's about to show who you are
through this enlightening momentof transfiguration.
Step into it, walk into it,come into it and believe and
breathe into it and lean intothis moment that God wants to do
(38:12):
in your life.
Right now you can have it.
It's yours.
Pick it up and take it, becauseGod is calling you, he's
calling you out, he's callingyou out to a trusted place and
he is your strong tower and hehas you walled in all around,
like the hedge that was aroundJob.
(38:33):
Hallelujah.
The enemy can't snatch thiscalling away.
You've lost so many things.
You're scared to step intosomething because you think
you're going to lose it too.
I bind it in the name of Jesus.
God said don't worry about it,it's a finished work, you're not
going to lose it.
Losing the other things justprepared you for this.
Hallelujah, glory to God.
Glory to God.
Okay, I got to, I got to moveon.
(38:54):
I feel the Holy Spirit movingfor the rest of our teaching.
Oh, glory to God, hallelujah.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
So I want to share
with someone who's listening,
who has just been bound to worryand I felt the spirit of the
Lord saying to say to you thatthe very thing that you have
(39:21):
need of is on the inside of you.
You think that the moment thatall of these external things
happen, that things are going toget better.
Yes, but I felt the spirit ofthe Lord saying that what you
need is actually on the insideof you.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
And as I was sitting
with that, as the pastor was
finishing, and I was talking tothe Lord about it on your behalf
, what I feel like the Lord saidis that God's.
What I feel like the Lord saidis that he's trying to
reposition you on the inside.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Where there is some
stability.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Where there is some,
some, some trust.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
And instead of
thinking that the external
things are going to resolvewhatever it is that has you
worry yes, I said, it is thework on the inside that's going
to reposition you and shift you.
What the good, wow.
So I pray in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
That's so good.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
That your heart is
able to receive.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
And that you would
trust God at his word.
Amen.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Wow, what a powerful
moment when the glory falls.
Sometimes you just have to getoff your agenda.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
You have to.
Every time, I will tell youfolks who are listening in.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
God bless you, thank
you.
I hope you're getting somethingfrom this, but I will tell you,
the Holy spirit has moved us offour agenda and and everything
in me is trying to fight to getback to that agenda only because
I want to do right by ourlisteners.
I want to give you a lot ofscriptures and word and in depth
, uh, biblical knowledge.
It's just the Holy Spirit ismoving right now so powerfully
(41:08):
for someone and if it's justthat one person that's being
touched right now, listen, godloves you, we love you, we're
here for you.
That's why we're here, on thisprogram, this daily bread,
because this could be your dailybread today.
This could be your bread thatyou need for today.
(41:31):
And God bless you.
May he strengthen you, may hekeep you, may he speak his plan
and purposes to you.
May you dream your destiny andyour vision.
Oh my God.
May God give you visions anddreams of everything that he has
in store for you.
May you find sweet rest andpeace for your anxiety.
It's broken.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
It's broken.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
I want you to start
taking naps Once you get off
work or you got some time athome.
Just take you a power nap 15minutes.
Don't get your two hours in,girl.
Don't get your two hours in,bro.
Don't get your two hours in andjump back up and get at it
again.
Get your rest.
Get your rest.
Get your rest.
You're going through a lot,your family's facing a lot.
You love people hard and you'regoing through some
(42:10):
disappointments.
And get your rest and watch theLord renew your soul.
Pastor 8.3, I'm going to let youget your point three, because
you know, that keeps us threethings that keeps us from prayer
.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
It was pain
perspective and the third is
plagues wow, you put them in P'stoo.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
That was right off
the top of your dome.
That was right off your head, off the top of your dome.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
That was good plagues
tell me about that Plagues you
know, and it could come in a lotof different.
I like that A lot of differentformats and come a lot of
different ways.
You know, and what I, what I'mstriving to lean into to help
(42:57):
describe this, as I feel it, bythe spirit of God is oftentimes
it's things of the past.
Yeah, it's the plagues of ourpast.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
That, and I guess
that could be a fourth P huh.
Our past, the plagues of ourpast, that prevent us from
praying.
Yeah, prevent us from praying, whether it is how we were raised
, what we were taught to believe, maybe something that didn't
happen that we felt like shouldhave happened, maybe something
(43:28):
that did happen that we feellike shouldn't have happened,
and all of the different things.
And those things are constantlyhaunting us.
You know, a plague is somethingthat continually creates some
form of distress in our lives, something that continually
creates some form of distress inour lives, and oftentimes it's
a lot of unresolved issues, unresolved pains, a lack of
understanding why certain thingshappen, why I wasn't this, why
(43:51):
I wasn't that, why this didn't,why that did.
Da da, da, da da.
And a lot of times that thatcontinual distress prevents us
from being willing to pray.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
Wow, I love it.
So let me I got to recap thatso they can get it.
So it's four reasons why wedon't pray right now.
We just and that's thank you, pastor a pain perspective
plagues and the past.
That is so powerful, yeah, thatis so important.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
So when we talk about
and let me just add this I'm
sorry when I think about thepast, because maybe we feel like
God didn't answer somethingbefore or previously the way
that we will want for him toanswer it.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
Right.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
And, as a result,
we're angry and we're upset and
we and we do the thing that wedo to humans.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
Right.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Well, because you
didn't do that, you weren't
there for me.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Right.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
I don't want to talk
to you.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
I don't mess with you
anymore.
Speaker 2 (44:51):
I'm done with you and
we, and we take that same
posture with God, right?
Well, you didn't do what Iasked you to do, and so now I
don't want to talk to youanymore.
Wow, yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:05):
They gave me a fifth
one.
A fifth.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Oh my God, that's
good.
Yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
I thought about how
the scripture says OK cool.
I thought about how thescripture says pride comes
before destruction and a haughtylook before a fall.
There's a haughtiness of spirit,of mind, of breathing in too
(45:35):
much self-value.
You know, bringing in,breathing in.
See it says a haughty, look, haughty is puffed up.
It's a swelling up of self andswelling up of your perspective
and elevating and uplifting yourown ideologies and standing so
(45:57):
aggressively and dogmatically onthem that they morph into
witchcraft and they becomecontrolling, controlling spells
that you use to dominate peopleinto the matrix of your doings.
When we get me myself and I, Idon't need religion, I don't't
(46:22):
know, you don't know, but you'vegot to understand.
Christianity is both a religionand a relationship.
I've tried to teach that topeople.
If it wasn't a religion, thenwhy we got this book?
Religions have, they havepractices and principles and
customs that come from written, from the old, from from almost
all of them became written.
But it's also a relationshipbecause Christ was inside of us,
from what was oral and becamewritten.
(46:42):
But it's also a relationshipbecause Christ knew us inside of
us.
So you can get.
So I don't need religion, Idon't need God, so I don't need
God's ways or precepts and theconcepts and I don't need God's
relationship, I don't needanybody, I don't need this, I
got this, I did this, I did thatI me life becomes so much about
self that we ego ease God out.
(47:05):
That's an acronym for easing Godout.
Someone has once said so.
That stops us from getting onour knees.
How are you going to pray fromyour spirit deep inside of you
when you feel like God has noroom, no business being there in
the first place?
Oh, I got this and I don't.
That stops us fromcommunicating to God, because
(47:25):
prayer is our communication.
That's why I say it's notalways about answers.
I just want to pray and say God, I love you.
I just want to say I thank youso much, you've been so good.
I just want to say I adore you.
Today, god, I just want to sayI can't do it without you.
I can't be who I am.
Without you, I can't make it, Ican't survive.
I thank you so much for allthat you've done to me.
I just want to say good morning, holy Spirit.
(47:47):
I just want to thank you today, jesus.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
It's not always about
an answer.
Reflecting is beautiful, thanking him for where he's
brought you from, thanking himfor the things we're no longer
having to deal with, the abilityto overcome.
And, yeah, thank you.
It's beautiful that that justthank you.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
Sometimes prayer is
about the answers I already have
.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Yep, absolutely, it
is.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
Oh my God, okay, okay
, okay, pastor, what about not
doing?
You got that, you got thateducational posture professional
professor ism on you.
I'm like, okay, I need to moveon you, that I you know.
I'm like, hey, let me move on,because you look like the
teacher and the student beentalking too long okay, that's
funny so I want to take you outto this scripture in psalms 34,
pastor I think you already haveit and in this scripture we are
(48:35):
talking about this whole conceptof inviting god into your fears
, your anxiety and yourdepression.
Invite himite him in, because, let me tell you something where
the presence of God is, let metell you something, no other
spirit, power or principalitycan abide, and so invite God
(48:55):
into that fear that you have.
I know you might be goingthrough fear and anxiety.
Go ahead and stop for a momentand invite him in.
So I want to go to Psalms 34.
I can get it if you want.
Okay, psalms 34.
Yeah, look at verse 4 through 8there and let's just see if we
got this right here.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
This is a Psalm of
David.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
It is a Psalm of.
David.
It is a Psalm of David.
Speaker 2 (49:18):
All right, 34.4.
The Bible says says I soughtthe Lord and he answered me.
Speaker 1 (49:23):
OK, right there,
Right there.
Ok, can you read that again?
Speaker 2 (49:28):
I sought the Lord and
he answered me.
He delivered me from all myfears.
Oh my God, those who look tohim are radiant.
Their faces are never coveredwith shame.
This poor man called and thelord heard him.
(49:49):
He saved him out of all histroubles.
The angel of the lord encampsaround those who fear him and he
delivers them.
And I think in in king j itsays, oh, taste and see.
But this NIV says taste and seethat the Lord is good.
Blessed is the one who takesrefuge in him.
(50:12):
That's so beautiful.
That is so beautiful.
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
And in my Bible here,
New King James, it says blessed
is the man who trusts in him.
Now I want people to see that'sgood, yes, Jesus.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
Hallelujah,
hallelujah, hallelujah.
That's going to be a good exitscripture.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
This is our exit
scripture.
I want people to see thisrhythm and this dance in the
text that is taking placebetween God and humanity that is
taking place between God andhis creation.
It's a call and response, likeyou do with a hymn in Sunday
morning service.
Look at this call and response.
(50:54):
Watch this verse four.
I saw he heard.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
I thought he heard.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Call response Watch
this.
And it says oh my God, you caneven go here.
I sought and he delivered, SeeCall and response.
Look at verse 5.
They looked Watch this and wereradiant Call and respond.
They looked upon him.
What was the outcome?
The response.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
Radiant.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
That's a portal shift
.
Come on somebody.
You went from having acountenance of anxiety and
sorrow and distress to look atradiant.
Look at your countenance.
Now, since you saw him and hedelivered you, he changed your
countenance.
David said he'll put a new songin your mouth.
He'll turn.
Oh my God.
He'll turn your situation.
He'll put a new song in yourmouth.
He'll turn.
Oh my God.
He'll turn your situation aroundall the way and put a new song
(51:45):
in.
This poor man cried out.
I saw the Lord.
He heard my cry, he pitted myevery groan.
He put a new song, a new songin my mouth.
That's good, you know.
And, oh my God, ok, watch this.
At the response, the Lord heardthem and saved them.
(52:07):
You kind of see this dancethat's going on here.
Verse 7, it says the angel ofthe Lord is around.
Those who watch this fear him.
Watch this and delivers them.
You call him.
He's going to respond.
Watch this, oh, taste and see.
Taste.
Now watch the response.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
See.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Taste, you're going
to taste.
You're going to see.
What are you going to see?
That the Lord is good.
That's still a call andresponse, even in the B portion
of verse 8, but it's flipped.
If you trust in him, you'regoing to be blessed.
There's a, there's a rhythm toprayer.
(52:51):
There is a rhythm tucked awayby God.
That is automatic, is organic.
It's like ergonomics.
It is suited to fit exactly theway you process You're going
through life.
God is so specific that heergonomically wired prayer to
fit everybody and everysituation.
(53:12):
Come on here, somebody.
You think you've got anergonomic desk and an ergonomic
keypad and an ergonomic mouse.
My brother, sister, you gotergonomic prayer.
God has situated it exactly foryou and what you're dealing
with in your situation whenthere's a response when you call
out to him.
Hallelujah.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Come on, pastor, I'm
going to bless it on you.
I mean, just reading thescripture in and of itself is
about checking out, because itis such a great reminder that I
have a Heavenly Father who lovesme, who is concerned about me
(53:51):
and who has given me access toHim.
He has given me access to HisKingdom.
He's given me access to HisPresence.
He's given me access to HisHoly Spirit.
