Without further ado, let's diveinto today's devotional and
discover the power of God'sunshakable truth.
(01:00):
We're going to go directly tothe book of Isaiah.
If you have a Bible, grabyourself a Bible.
If you're able to get a Bible, open up the word of God and
let's just dive in together.
And we're going to go to thebook of Isaiah and we're going
to go to chapter 40, whereveryou are at this moment, let's
grab the word of God.
And we are going to go straightinto Isaiah, chapter 40, and
(01:23):
we're going to go to thatbeautiful verse and it is simple
to read and it is verse 29onwards he gives strength to the
weary and increases the powerof the weak.
Even the youths grow tired andweary.
Young men stumble and fallVerse 31.
I love this.
But those who hope in the Lordwill renew their strength.
(01:44):
They will soar on wings as ofeagles.
They will run and not growweary.
They will walk and not be faint.
What a lovely bit of scriptureto start the day.
Wherever you are at this moment, let's just take a moment just
to look at these scriptures.
He says in verse 29 of Isaiah, chapter 40, he gives strength to
(02:06):
the weary.
Do you feel weary at thismoment?
Is life making you tired andexhausted?
Are you looking at life andthinking?
Hang on a moment, this is alittle bit wearing.
You know I'm feeling weary, I'mfeeling tired, I'm feeling a
little bit exhausted.
You know what?
It's okay to feel like that?
What happens is is when weallow ourselves to feel like
(02:26):
that, it's a good, is a goodplace for us to be actually so,
when we feel like that, it's aplace of refreshing, it's a
place of hope, because we arerecognizing that we are weary
and we can't mask it and wecan't duck our heads in the sand
and just say to one another yes, I'm blessed and highly favored
, wonderfully and fearfully made.
God.
God bless you.
Brother and sister, you know, like the church within the UK,
(02:48):
you're masking things.
We have to deal with stuffbecause the more we talk about
things, the more we talk aboutmental health.
So when you look at thatscripture there, you know he
gives strength and rest to theweary.
You know your mind, your body, your soul.
But when we think about themind, when we talk about the
mind, the mind is so powerful.
The mind will take you to somany different places.
(03:09):
And if you're weary in yourmind, what happens is it makes
us weak in the rest of our lives.
Now, when we're tired I'm notsaying about being weak minded,
I'm not referring to that, butI'm referring to in this
devotion is, literally, you know, when we're weary and we're
exhausted and your body's tiredand your mind is weary and you
just feel like, oh Lord, can youhelp me today?
(03:31):
But that leads to mental health, doesn't it?
How is your mental health today?
How is your mind today?
How is your mindset?
What are you focusing on today?
What is going on?
Do you feel a little bit wornout?
Do you feel a little bitexhausted?
Do you feel a bit run down.
You feel a little bit out oftune.
The drum beat isn't beating thesame as what it was yesterday
(03:53):
and the day before.
There's something differentabout today.
You just feel a little bitweary and tiring.
But you know, the good book sayssomething so clear and so
powerful and we need to hold onto that.
We really need to hold on tothat.
And he says in verse 29 ofIsaiah, chapter 40, he gives
strength to the weary, he'sstrengthening you.
And then sometimes we say, well, hang on a minute, I don't feel
(04:16):
any different, I don't feel anydifference in my body.
I don't, I don't seem to be anydifferent.
That is your body and my bodyand all of our bodies just
telling us you know, it's okay,it's okay.
You know God, through the speedand through the time of the Word
of God.
He strengthens us even when werealize we're not being
strengthened.
He makes a way when we can'tsee a way.
(04:38):
He helps us when we feelhelpless.
He leads us, you know, inrighteousness, even when we feel
unrighteous and weary and tired.
And I don't want to go tochurch today, I don't want to go
to work today, I just can'tseem to get the right attitude.
You know he gives strength tothe weary.
I love the word, because theword really speaks about people
(04:59):
that are weary and tired.
You know, and just worn out,are you worn out?
We are living in very, verypowerful days.
We're going to come to someprayer.
We're going to have some prayer.
I think it's time for us.
We just gather for prayer.
You know, we've just read thescripture out.
He gives strength to the wearyand he will carry you, he will
bless you.
You saw on wings as of eagles.
You know God is with you, butlet's pray as we just gather for
(05:22):
this hour, wherever you are.
Thank you for joining us forthis daily devotional podcast.
Let's just start in a bit ofprayer together.
Father, in the name of Jesus, Ido feel weary today, but I'm
frightened to tell the peoplearound me, I'm frightened to
tell family, I'm frightened totell friends and sometimes, lord
, I'm frightened to admit it tomyself.
I'm just weary of life.
(05:42):
I'm weary of life, lord.
I can't even put my finger onit today.
I'm not even quite sure what itis today, but I just don't seem
to be right, lord.
The cogs of life just seem tobe getting on my nerves.
Lord, I feel just drained a bit.
I can't work things out.
Lord, will you help me, in thename of Jesus.
So, lord, in this prayer time, lord, I bring everything to the
(06:05):
cross.
And, lord, sometimes I don'teven know how to bring it to the
cross.
I'm just saying it, lord, because the Bible says I'm going
to come to the cross and I'mgoing to trust you, jesus, for
my life.
I'm going to trust you for myhope.
I'm trusting you for mysalvation.
I'm trusting you to help me paythe bills.
Lord, I'm weary of the moneysituation.
I'm tired of always chasing apound, chasing the euro, chasing
(06:34):
the dollar.
Lord, I'm always tired ofchasing money.
Lord, all I ever do is just paybills.
Will you help me, jesus?
I need rest.
So, father, I come to you today, lord, and I ask you that you
will give me rest and you willgive me strength.
You will open my heart, my mind, my body and my soul.
Lord, I believe in the power ofthe word of God, but my body is
telling me that I'm tired.
My mind is telling me that I'mweary, but you tell me that you
(06:58):
give.
He gives strength to the wearyand increases power of the weak.
Lord, I need an increase ofpower because, on this commute,
I don't want to go to work, lord, on this commute, I just don't
want to face the life manager.
Today, lord, on this commute tolife, lord, I just don't want to
get out of bed.
(07:18):
Today I'm weary and I need youto strengthen me, lord, I need
you to guide me, I need you tolead me, lord, I need you to
wrap your arms around me becauseI feel quite helpless today,
lord, I feel really helpless, Ifeel really lost.
I don't know what to do withmyself.
I've got to get into work, I'vegot to get into life and, lord,
I'm really tired and exhausted.
(07:39):
Lord, I am tired.
Help me, jesus, my body isweary.
Lord, I'm feeling weary in mybones.
I feel it in my fingers, I feelit in my hips.
My legs, my bones are achingtoday, lord, but you tell me
that you give strength, youincrease power to those that
(08:00):
feel vulnerable.
You increase power to thosethat are weary and tired and
heavy.
Laden Father, as it says in thegood book, in verse 29 of
Isaiah 40, he gives strength tothe weary and increases power to
the weak.
Lord, I want to put my hands uptoday and tell the world I'm
(08:21):
weak and I'm weary.
But I want to thank you, lord,as I admit to myself.
Lord, as I speak it out acrossthe airways, across the world, I
want to thank you that you areincreasing your power in me,
that you're increasing yourpower in all of us.
Lord that say Lord, yeah, Ifeel weak today.
Lord, I feel weary.
My body's aching, I can't getmy mind right today.
(08:43):
Lord, I don't know what's wrong, but I can't seem to focus.
Lord, my mind is all over theplace.
Lord, it's raining out, it'swet out, it's windy out.
Lord, it's too hot out, it'stoo cold out.
Lord, I can't get comfortable.
I can't make my mind up, lord, what I want to do with myself
(09:09):
today.
But I've got to get into work.
I've got to do A, b, c and D.
But, lord, I need help todaybecause I'm weary.
But, lord, I'm going to swapthis weariness for a miracle,
I'm going to swap my tirednessfor a miracle and I'm claiming
victory over my body, on my mindtoday.
And, lord, I speak words offaith over my body.
And, lord, this lifeapplication, lord, I speak the
word over my life.
So, lord, I'm not weary, I'mblessed and highly favoured.
(09:32):
Lord, I'm not tired and I'm notweak.
I'm strong in the word of God.
So, lord, I'm going to rise onwings as of eagles.
I'm going to stand tall today, wherever I am.
Lord, I'm going to rise onwings as of eagles.
I'm going to stand tall today, wherever I am.
Lord, I'm going to be bold as alion in the name of Jesus.
Lord, I'm going to rise onwings as of eagles.
And today, this is the day wheremy weariness disappears.
(09:54):
It melts like wax at the nameof Jesus.
And today, lord, I claim thethings that are not as though
they are.
I call to God that calls thethings that are not as though
they are, and I speak over mylife and I thank you that bills
are paid, family is well, I'mhealed.
In the name of Jesus, your loveis unconditional.
(10:15):
I stand on the rock of all agesbecause this is a powerful day,
because I am free.
Today, I am blessed.
Today, I am rich in your word.
Today, lord, I am not going totake any notice of my emotions.
Lord, I'm not going to allow myemotions to dictate to me.
And Lord, to stop me, lord, having a bad day.
(10:36):
Lord, I'm going to rise today.
Lord, I ain't going to allow myemotions I can allow my fear or
my doubt to control me, becauseI'm going to rise today, lord.
I ain't going to allow myemotions, I ain't going to allow
my fear or my doubt to controlme, because I'm going to rise
today in the name of Jesus andthrough this prayer time,
through this daily devotion, lord, I'm going to come to the
cross, lord, and I'm just goingto lay it down at the foot of
the cross today and I'm going tosay thank you, heavenly Father,
(10:57):
that you are rich in my life, that I have the Holy Spirit,
that I walk with the Father andthe Son, and the Son loves me,
the Father loves me, the HolySpirit is with me, I'm anointed
and I'm blessed and highlyfavored.
So, lord, I am not going to beweary today.
As the hour goes, as the twohours increase three and four
(11:20):
hours Lord, I'm going to feelthe strength of my God, I'm
going to feel the blessings ofmy God, I'm going to feel the
love of my God, I'm going tofeel the presence of my God,
because this is the day that theLord has made.
I shall rejoice and be glad, and I feel your presence, lord,
my body is telling me otherwise,my mind is telling me otherwise
(11:41):
, but I love and I worship you,jesus.
So, lord, I'm not going tolisten to my emotions.
I'm not going to listen, dearGod, to my feelings.
I'm going to live by faith.
And, lord, I say thank you, yesand amen.
Lord, bless us through thisprayer time.
In the name of Jesus, amen.

prayer.
And now I'm just going to readback through this, you know, and
we are in verse 29 of the bookof Isaiah 40.
And it says he gives strengthto the weary and increases the
power of the weak.
I love that.
So when I feel weary, when Ifeel tired, he increases the
(12:25):
power.
Lord, increase, we declare, increase, power of the weak,
strengthen our bones.
Then he says even the youthsgrow tired and weary.
Young men will stumble and fall.
But those who hope in the Lord,Lord, I'm hoping in you today.
Oh yes, lord, I'm hoping in you.
(12:47):
Wherever I am across this world, I'm hoping in my God today,
I'm trusting in my God and myKing today and Lord, I thank you
that hope shall prevail, because my God shall supply all
my needs according to thy richesin glory, lord.

And they will, as it says inverse 31 of Isaiah, chapter 40,
they will soar on wings likeeagles.

They will run and not growweary.
