(00:00):
When it was finally time to upgrade my trustyold IKEA armchair from my early twenties, I
knew the replacement chair had to be up to afew challenges: my ever-expanding pregnant
body, a four-year-old daughter who likes to dosomersaults in the living room, and the threat
of a spaghetti sauce stain that could happen atany given moment.

(00:21):
Because of this, a beautiful white boucléfabric was completely out of the question
(maybe once my children have graduated fromhigh school).
I also needed a deeper armchair that couldaccommodate a growing belly, a tall husband,
and a child who emphatically loves to snuggleand watch cartoons.

Enter (00:43):
The Lido Armchair by Albany Park, which I have now had in my living room for a few
months.
Sleek, stain-resistant, and, dare I say, sexy, this comfortable armchair has been a great
addition to my living room.
Already a proud owner of the Albany Park CornerSectional (and a fan of Albany Park furniture

(01:05):
in general), I knew and trusted this brand todeliver a beautiful piece of furniture that
does not cost a fortune.
And to my delight, the Lido chair has lived upto this expectation as well.
What I love about this chair is that it givesyou grown-up-level design that comes in a very
kid-friendly fabric.

(01:27):
The chair is deep enough — thirty-seven and ahalf inches, to be exact — to feel like you can
curl your feet up, but also relatively compactso that it will not completely overwhelm a
small living space.
There are ten fabrics to choose from, includinga gorgeous alabaster bouclé for those of you

(01:48):
who do not have children or hairy pets.
The vegan leather fabric that I chose is apretty camel shade that is neutral enough to go
with any color scheme.
The legs, which come in four different optionsranging from brass to different shades of
woods, are sturdy and have a little curve tothem, giving you stability and mid-century

(02:10):
modern style.
And yes, the chair is pretty — but, moreimportantly, it is also downright comfortable.
I am currently about eight months pregnant anduncomfortable in nearly every chair or surface
I sit on, but this chair has the rightcombination of depth and support to make me
feel like I can sit and watch a movie withouthaving to continually roll over like a

(02:33):
rotisserie chicken.
But what I love most about this chair is itsstain resistance.
Sure, you could argue that any leather or fauxleather chair is going to be easy to wipe up,
but I am truly amazed at how brand-new thechair continues to look — even after a run-in
with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, spaghetti sauce fingers, and a couple of coffee

(02:57):
drips on groggy mornings.
Although I chose the vegan leather specificallyso I could ward off stains from a messy family,
the seat and the cushions on the Lido chair areremovable for easy cleaning and stain
resistant, so that it can be the kind of chairyou do not have to hover over when guests are
drinking something in the living room (or isthat just me?).

(03:20):
My only critique is that because of the veganleather’s slip, the seat cushion tends to slide
forward a bit, particularly when a little oneis sitting on it, but this can be easily fixed
with some well-placed Velcro strips (which Ifully intend on investing in soon).
The Lido armchair came in one box, and we wereable to assemble it in a little less than

(03:44):
thirty minutes.
The chair comes together pretty easily, and themost time-consuming part was just making sure
the legs were facing the right direction.
Even if you are new to assembling furniture(or, rather, do not like to do it), I would say
this is a pretty easy piece of furniture to puttogether in a short amount of time.

(04:06):
The Lido armchair starts at one thousand twohundred thirty-three dollars when it is at full
price, but different fabrics, like thealabaster bouclé, would cost a little more.
To make such an investment-worthy purchase morewallet-friendly, there is financing through
Affirm, starting at about seventy-two dollarsper month, and seasonal sales that you can take

(04:31):
advantage of.
Currently, there is a major Labor Day sale withprices up to forty percent off, making my Lido
armchair just eight hundred eighty-five dollarsinstead of the usual one thousand two hundred
sixty-three dollars.
New customers can also sign up for emails andget one hundred fifty dollars off their first

(04:54):
order.
Each Albany Park Lido armchair is custom madeto order, but the chairs are ready to be
shipped in about a week after you order, anddelivery times will vary.
Shipping is also always free.
Waking up on the bathroom floor does not haveto mean you have hit rock bottom.

On the contrary (05:15):
Regaining consciousness can be chic when the first thing that comes into focus
is an exquisite tile.
During the day, when the nose needs powderingor nature calls, entering a world of color and
pattern—or a serene refuge of minimalistrestraint, if spa vibes are your thing—can
really elevate the experience.

but Artistic Tile president Lauren Cherkasencourages homeowners not to hold back.
Think about how the floors take up much lesssquare footage, compared to the walls, of the
