The verse of the day says blessed are those who hunger and
thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Matthew 5 verse 6. In this beatitude Jesus speaks
of a hunger and thirst that goesfar beyond the physical.
He points to a spiritual craving, a deep soul level
desire for righteousness, for right standing with God for His

presence, His will and his ways.And what does Jesus promise?
Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled.
The world offers countless things to satisfy us.
Success, possessions, pleasure, approval.
But these things never truly quench the deepest longing of
our hearts. They satisfy for a moment, but

leave us emptier in the end. But when we hunger for God's
righteousness, His truth, His character, His rule in our
lives, we find true satisfactionbecause only God can fill the
empty spaces of our hearts. What does it mean to hunger and
thirst for righteousness? It means longing to live in a
way that pleases God, not just outwardly but from the heart.

righteousness. If you're spiritually hungry
today, take heart that hunger isa gift.
Come to Jesus, feed on His word,drink deeply of His spirit and
