(00:00):
Jesus said in John 14 verse 27, peace I leave with you, my peace
I give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts be
troubled and do not be afraid. In his final hours with the
disciples, Jesus spoke these words.
He knew their world was about tobe shaken.
(00:20):
He knew fear, uncertainty, and chaos would try to take over
their hearts. But instead of leaving them with
instructions on how to fix everything, he left them
something far better. His peace.
This isn't ordinary peace, not the kind that comes from quiet
moments or temporary solutions. This is heavenly peace.
(00:41):
It doesn't depend on circumstances or the absence of
trouble. It flows from the unshakable
presence of Jesus. Notice what Jesus says.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
The world's peace is temporary. It's based on everything going
right, a stable job, calm relationships, good health.
(01:02):
But that kind of peace disappears when life gets hard.
Jesus offers a peace that stays in the storm, not just when the
waters are calm. It's the peace that held Daniel
in the lion's den, sustained Paul in prison, and carried
Jesus through the cross. It is unshakeable peace because
it's rooted in a God who cannot fail.
Don't let your heart be troubled, Jesus tells us.
(01:27):
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
This means we have a choice. Trouble will come, fear will
knock, but we can guard our hearts by resting in His words.
My peace I give you. You may not control your
situation, but you can anchor your heart to His promise.
When fear rises, speak His peace.
(01:49):
When anxiety hits, hold to His presence, receiving the gift of
His peace. You don't earn this peace, you
receive it. You can't buy it or manufacture
it. It's freely given by Jesus to
anyone who trusts him. Right now he is whispering, You
don't have to carry this, my peace is yours.
(02:11):
May the peace of the Lord be with you forever in Jesus name,
Amen.
