This passage explains that when people do wrong, God sees everything and is completely fair when He judges them. It describes how guilt, confession, and the seriousness of sin show that God’s punishment is just, both in this life and after death. It also warns that ignoring sin now will lead to a much worse judgment later, but honest confession brings mercy.
