This season we focus on character development and analysis of the female protagonists in Golden Age Musicals. The first in a two part series, this episode we go where the hills are alive and discuss the origins of the two supporting women in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Sound of Music." Join us as we deep dive into the would be step mother, Baroness Elsa Shraeder and the eldest daughter Liesl Von Trapp. Broadway and Hollywood hit musical was the final collaboration of the famous songwriting duo and we find out just how much care they gave to every character in the show.
